When an interstellar cargo ship crashes in Far East Russia, Morgan “Snap” Slade and his squad of elite super soldiers are sent to recover the valuable cargo. Major Slade’s team, Lightning Squad, believes they are equipped with the most technologically advanced battle armor and weapons on Earth; but soon find out they are little match for the Large Gray’s technology and anti-gravity fighters.
The Large Grays have been on Earth for many years now, stealthily entangling themselves in terrestrial politics and wielding their advanced knowledge as a weapon to manipulate worldly affairs. A leader among them, Nox finds himself commanding a shadow government within the Soviet Union, where he focuses on establishing a New World Order, with him at the helm. When the interstellar cargo ship crashes in Siberia, Nox knows this may be his opportunity to tips the scales of power in his favor.
Nordic aliens, known as Vitahicians, have been working closely with the Top-Secret government agency known as Majestic Twelve for decades. They work in the shadows of underground bases and do not have any diplomatic relations with the Large Gray aliens. The Vitahicians are expecting a long-awaited supply ship, the Impegi, when it unexpectedly crashes into Russian territory.
The Impegi hails from Vitahic, a planet that is over 620 light years from Earth; it could be decades before there can be another shipment. Commander Forte, and a few other survivors are tasked with preserving the valuable cargo until reinforcements can arrive. Deep within the cargo holds of the disgraced Impegi, lies huge quantities of Element 115, which is necessary in the production process of advanced, 7th generation anti-gravity fighters.
Mike Evans, a Vitahician, has been stuck on Earth for over 70 years. He is tired of his mundane existence in underground military bases, and has taken a brief vacation to contemplate his future. At the beach, Mike meets a beautiful woman, and his fate is forever shifted.
Major Slade and Lightning Squad must race to secure the priceless cargo before the Russians and Large Grays seize it for themselves. Will Major Slade and Lightning Squad be able to recover the Element-115? Or will the Russians, aided by the Large Grays, seize the cargo, and control over earth’s skies for generations to come? This action-packed, science fiction thriller is a must read for anyone that loves stories about alien agendas, coverups, shadow governments, conspiracies theories, alternate history, and techno-thrillers.
FLT- Faster Than Light 🚀🌞 And Here You Thought There Were No Such Things As 👽Aliens
Alien Humans have been to earth before. They visited during the time of Harry Truman for the first time, leaving behind technicians and technology that ushered in Earth's 🌎 space age🚀. Their society has manipulated DNA, making them live for hundreds of years. The Aliens from the planet Vitahic, are arriving again, at the humans moon base this time. The Alien commander is Forte, he is far older than most of the other aliens on board and was among the first to visit 🌎Earth. It has taken them 30 long years in stasis to get into the 🌎Earth's solar system. There they will decommission their ship, Impegi, so the hull can be used to expand the base. The arrival of the Impegi is not to be. One of the ship's engines explodes, setting off an involuntary jettisoning of the rest of the engines. The ship crashes into the area of far eastern siberia, in the Magadan area. The precious cargo of Element 115 is removed to the shuttles before the ship crashes, but one of the shuttles fails to launch, dooming ten of the hundred person crew. I haven't read a lot of sci fi but I enjoyed this one and will certainly read the next one in the series. The main characters have depth ,the aliens are more like us so it's easier to understand their actions. There's some History and technical aspects to the story. Who's to say there aren't Aliens amongst us. As in the book the Government's would surely try to keep that information from the people. An entertaining read.
Sadly, the author is struggling with the storytelling, turning a potientially interesting idea into a „John was piloting his starfighter” type of book. Ham-handed exposition, wooden dialogue and deus-ex-machina twists make the book seem written by a high school kid. Stay away, even if you have time to waste - there are much better books to do that with.
Hello, this was a very different and interesting story. It covered a lot of ground in not so many pages. It didn't feel Skippy to me though. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks.
There were a few areas that irritated me in the book, science inaccuracy being one, lack of ammo conservation by the special ops group another, but once I decided to just ignore the irritants the rest of the story was very enjoyable.
The flashbacks were well done and filled in the background well. This was definitely a twist on World War II that I've not come across, and I thought I'd stumbled upon most. A good one too.
The characters were well developed and very likeable, the action well written and the premise well conceived and executed. Rather looking forward to the next book!
I received an e-ARC of this book and chose to write a review. Worth a read.
