Torn

Quite a few grammatical and punctuation errors that annoyed me. Didn't like the fact that the subs were safe wording and the scene continued (twice).
However, redemption came in a good plotline, and lots of quality sex scenes.
I was torn between 2* and 4* but settled for 3*

It’s short enough to read during the day at work, long enough that your not left wanting more, Spicy enough you need to make sure your boss dosnt read over your shoulder and captivating enough to make you forget your at work.

Captivating
The was my second book (rather set of books) by Simone. I started at the end and now I have read Michael and James side of Buying the Virgin. Ha, soon I’ll read the first box set of Buying the Virgin and I will get to know exactly why Charlotte did what she did. But back to this set. This set is told from the point of view of the Doms, James and Michael. We get to learn how Michael and James became friends. And who they both are. Why James bought Charlotte and what happens after he does. It was absolutely captivating read. The POV of the men made the story so much more realistic. I never felt lost in the story or that I was reading the story in the middle. Simone’s storytelling skills are excellent. She gives just enough background without it being retelling of previous books. This is truly a new story told from the man’s POV. Of course it’s sizzling hot. It’s in the BDSM genre so you should expect that and Simone delivers! I can’t wait to read the rest of her books. I recommend this book!

This story could have easily been a five star 🌟 book, however it desperately needs to be edited. Sentences with missing punctuation, with incorrect spelling and capitalization is just unacceptable for any writer even those who are Indie. There are even chapters that are mislabeled by the characters POV!

The story is about two guys who play in a BDSM club and James ends up buying a virgin in an auction. He invites his best friend Michael to share Charlotte and they grow to have feelings for the young college student. This box set is several short stories out together to make a full length first installment of the story. Besides the fact that James, as a dim, ignores the women’s use of their safe word, the story is hot. But it’s hard to look past the downsides of the story.

Please, please, please for the love of all things holy, put this story through and editor or at the very least editing software!

I loved reading James and Michael's perspectives after reading the 'Buying the Virgin' series. We get to know why each character acted the way that they did and the reason for a lot of their actions. I love reading romance stories with both characters' POV and this 'Mastering the Virgin' series just round out the 'Buying the Virgin' series perfectly. I loved that we get to know the male characters more in this series. We even find out what happened before they met Charlotte and how they felt about her during her adventures. Great accompanying series.

I thoroughly enjoyed the stories leading up to James and Michael meeting Charlotte and then the connection the three of them have together. My biggest complaint with the book is grammatical in nature. Missing words, periods, etc.

Very steamy, but it became repetitive. The Hs are both Doms, older, single and wealthy. The h sells her virginity, and keeps her reasons secret. The Hs both fall in love with her, and she is very attracted to them. Only a HFN, sort of but it would have been better with more story.

I read this as part as this firsts anthology, and I won't be reading on.

Out of all the things that bugged me here, there were three that stood out the most. First and the biggest was that right in the beginning there were at least two times when the girl used her safe word and the guy did NOT stop. Both situations it wasn't even really used right either because she yelled it as she came. But either way, it was used and the guys didn't stop which is bad. Second thing that got me was that the girl that James buys for sex is younger than his own daughter. That is just wrong on so many levels. And the third thing is that James and Michael texted each other like they were teenagers that couldn't form a complete sentence, let alone type a whole word. They have to be in their 40's and just reading their texts was enough to make one lose a number of brain cells. And along those same lines, numerous times they even thought "LOL" in their head! Come on now!!

So I'm not a huge fan of virgin stories but the reviews painted this as a good read, so I figured I'd still check it out. I'm not saying that it's bad with my rating, but there's barely a real story here. Michael and James meet in a club and become best friends and business partners overnight. Which was odd and completely unbelievable, but whatever. When James gets this random email saying that he can buy a woman, he can't help his curiosity and ends up completely ensnared with the picture of "Charlotte". Turns out it's a legit (but still shady in my opinion) auction that the women have signed up for dictating what they are willing to do when bought. Charlotte was rather stupid and literally said she would do anything for a week. Lucky for her James couldn't stay away, even after a verbal beat down from Michael over it, because there were some really bad men bidding on her. James wins the auction and now has himself a new toy for a week.

And that's what the rest of the book(s) is. James and Michael taking Charlotte on the sexual adventure of her life for a week while also trying to spoil and pamper her. Now, this whole time Charlotte has not shared much of her personal life with them because it's just a contract and she is supposed to be able to maintain her privacy and not have to worry about being stalked when it's over. So, really, they don't know practically anything about her except the fact that she was desperate to make money to go to college. Tell me then, how in the world, did these two fell in love her? I mean, of course that was going to happen because that's just how these kinds of stories go. But it was so unbelievable. They are in love with having sex with her, that's all it is.

Bloody hell. Extra panties and plenty of alone time needed for this one.
James and Michael meet in a BDSM club and become good friends. Before too long they're a team, sharing the women they meet at the club. The lifestyle is good until James spots a very unconventional ad in an email.
Women for sale. One week for them to be at your back and call in whatever manner you want them. He scoffs and his hand is hovering over the delete button, but something catches his eye and makes him think twice.
One of the women, a beautiful green eyed goddess, stares out at him and her profile says the one thing that has his body getting harder than it has in a long time. Virgin!

He can't resist, even though it's an obscene amount of money to buy her. So he goes to the auction, even though Michael has made him feel like a total sceevy pervert. He looks and decided that Michael is right, he shouldn't be doing this. She's younger than his own daughter.

He's about to leave, but as he stands up his eye catches some of the other bidders. One of them is a low life scumbag who runs a brothel down by the docks.
He cant, in all good conscience, leave her to the likes of him, so he sits back down and bids. And wins.

One week. Take her virginity. Teach her how a male should worship a woman's body and then life goes back to normal. Easy peasy. Right?
But then he invited Michael to share the week with him.

Just sex. Just three people enjoying each other and exploring the boundaries of a young virgin.

No one said anything about love...

Mixed feelings here. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It started a bit slowly for me but hinted enough at future promise that I had to keep reading. Still, a few points of contention with some of the BDSM action very nearly made me stop and return the book. It was just so well written and enticing I couldn’t quit reading.

I have to give it a four because the characters and the sex are exquisite. I very nearly stopped at a three because of my disagreement with some of the BDSM scenes in the beginning of the book. Once you get past those scenes, however, the rest of the story is a dream of many people. A true fantasy shared by quite a few of the men and women I know personally. Definitely my deepest desires brought to life. Obviously I’m a bit old and definitely not a virgin any more;) but I would have been severely jealous of Charlotte had I read this before I became a mother.

As an independent reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock, I finally settled on four beating hearts for the superb writing, the steamy sex and the deeply human characters this author has created. There are a few triggers mentioned in passing but most of the book is just pure delight. Erotica at its best.

BDSM isn't usually a topic I would deviate to but OMG!! I am so glad I came across this book. I simply can't put it down. I has it all. It has steam coming out of every page almost. It makes me blush sometimes, after all auctioning her virginity isn't something most girls would do. According to her contract, she'll belong to her 'Master' for one week. Her decision was spurred on by her desire and the financial means to have a University education, Perhaps the BDSM scene wouldn't be every girl's chosen introduction into sex and Charlotte certainly isn't in charge but her 'Master' and his friend who also becomes her lover make Charlotte realise what an incredible power she really has. She is a natural submissive but she is incredibly strong with a pitiful childhood although we don't find out much detail about that in this book. Although she leaves after their one week together, both men want her back in their lives. After a few weeks, Charlotte seeks them out and their journey together really begins. All the characters are charismatic and very human. I can't wait to read the subsequent books in the series.

Spicy, emotional, and full of drama—BDSM with heart

If you’re looking for a scorching read with five full chili peppers 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, Mastering the Virgin definitely delivers. Simone Leigh throws you headfirst into a world of dominance, submission, and emotional vulnerability that’s as gripping as it is seductive.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and the intense dynamic that develops. There’s a strong undercurrent of trust and emotional connection that makes this more than just erotica—it’s also a journey of self-discovery and complicated relationships. The writing is smooth, the tension is palpable, and the drama is addictive.

That said, I knocked off one star because there were moments where the power dynamics felt a little too fast-moving without deeper exploration. Some scenes might raise eyebrows depending on your comfort level with certain BDSM elements, but nothing felt entirely out of place for the genre.

Overall, it’s a spicy and emotionally rich read with a solid plot and layered characters. If you enjoy ménage romance, dominant male leads, and a heroine learning her own strength, this book is for you.

I have read this series one book at a time verses as a box set. What a way to save money, as well as not having to wait for the next book to come out. You have the first part of the series right in front of you. You will want to read them all. It's very erotic. It's about certain Dom's like their women submissive to them in every way. They know how to turn their women on in every way and they take their time doing it. It drives the women crazy. They want it so bad and the Dom wants to continu until they have the ultimate climax. Of course there are main characters. My emphasis is if you want to read a series that will make you feel their intamacy, you'll love this series. You will have a hard time stopping and you will want to keep reading. Love the way this author writes. You feel like you get to know the characters as well as feeling the excitement through specific details when there are erotic scenes.

Mia is dragged to a sex club by her boyfriend because she let it slip that she has a fantasy and he wants to fulfill it for her. But she's not ready and he was way too pushy. So when the Doms of the club see that he's trying to get her to do something against her will, they step in and escort him out. Mia is friends with someone who is there and she introduces Mia to James and Michael. And even though she goes home soon after, she decides to come back and fulfill her fantasy of being with two guys.

James and Michael were definitely the best guys to pick for this because they were so gentle with her. They were attentive and made sure she was ok with everything every step of the way. James is a Dom but knowing she is a novice, he only takes things so far. There's a little domination in this short story but it was more about Mia's fantasy and how the two guys did everything they could to make it come true for her while making sure she was enjoying herself. It was a fun, quick story.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Mastering the Virgin: Box Set One by Simone Leigh is an undeniably steamy read, very spicy from the start, but what really stood out to me was the underlying story and character development woven through all the heat.

The chemistry between the characters is intense, and the dynamics are bold, but there's more here than just steam. I appreciated the emotional layers and the slow reveal of each character's background and motivations. There’s a sense that something deeper is at play, and it kept me turning the pages.

While the pacing occasionally leaned a bit more into the erotic than the plot in some places, the story never lost its forward momentum. The writing style is confident and engaging, and the buildup of trust, desire, and vulnerability between the characters was compelling.

Box set of first 4 books in the Mastering the Virgin series. This is told in the POV of both James and Michael. Takes you from how they met attending the same clubs to becoming friends. It covers many years including their POV taking place at the same time as the Buying the Virgin series (that is told in only Charlotte's POV). Do not need to have read the Buying the Virgin series first to enjoy this series, but it just makes it that much better if you have. I have read the Buying the Virgin series before reading this one and I really enjoyed reading both James and Michaels POV. James and Michael are so different but together are able to offer Charlotte everything she needs. They are both falling hard for her but don't want to push her too hard too fast. I am looking forward to more in this series from their POV!!

I am reading this in a somewhat backward manner since I have read many of the Mastering Series. However, you do not have to read any of the previous books to understand and follow the storyline. This book set gives me more background in how Charlotte, Michael and James came to be and what a journey they take you on! Friends starts out by describing how James and Michael meet and start a friendship they work together to find women. Partners shows how the introduction of Charlotte begins to change the dynamics of the two. Allies continues with the exploration of the "threesome" and they begin to see what the possibilities might be. Comrades finds the three at a big crossroads in the "relationship" and they must decide.

I'm a big fan of Simone Leigh's erotica, and this set got the same reaction from me as her other books. I received a copy of this book from Hidden Gems. This review is written completely voluntarily.

Good erotica is hard to find. Usually, a book is billed as erotica when in reality it is porn disguised as a romance. Simone Leigh does not disguise her books. Instead she writes boldly in the world of erotica. And she writes well. The editing and story line are tight, the dialogue and narrative are true to the characters in the book and the POV's help the reader to enjoy the action. In this book there were a couple of places where the POV was difficult to follow. Occasionally it would happen when the POVs were changing from one to another. Otherwise, I found the book enjoyable and would recommend for lovers of erotica

Mid-life adventures

Hmm how to begin? ...
At first the story begins with two guys at a club. The story has a few jumps but points out key points in the way James and Michael became friends and how they like to take women together. Not male on male contact but plenty of Mfm and sometimes more m's to the F.
Well the opportunity arises to buy a virgin and have her complete company for a week. Her green eyes and red hair drew James in.
Thus starting an "adventure" that open Charlotte up to a vast array of experiences.
Story is told in the two males POV.
A few errors in the writting but the story I found compelling. I was sad for it to end. Not sure if I'm willing to pay to read book set 2 but getting this free taste of Book 1 was nice.
The reader gets the older male young female dynamic as well as menage, gangbangs, BDSM and sexual vibrating toys.

Hubby didn't mind me reading it!

This book was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! I loved it! And my hubby benefited from me reading this story! Yes, it was that hot!

That said, it felt a bit outlandish to me that a 22 yr old woman would auction her V card to pay for university. But there may be somewhere in the world that this kind of thing happens – that women willingly auction themselves off for a great deal of money. So, ignoring that, there was some thought put into the story-telling and it was enough to keep me reading well into the night. If you like reading about BDSM, caring relationships, a bit of kink, and overall sexually active people, then this is your kind of book!

I'm looking forward to reading the next Box set in this series!

If you want something HOT & SENSUAL this is one for you. We have billionaires James & Michael share young virgin 'Charlotte' who decides to sell herself to help pay her to go to College. Which James wins after he sees who's bidding for her & he wants her. Though Michael didn't agree until he sees her & decides to have her also, & heck they think they're helping her out financially but what a way she has to go to get the money.
We see the 2 men getting closer though they don't want to agree to themselves, leave alone anyone else. But things change after Charlotte leaves to go to College...
So even though this is extremely hot there is a good storyline in it 😘😘

This series continues the story of Charlotte, James, and Michael and is a spin-off from Buying the Virgin. Be warned that you have to read this series in order, otherwise it will not make sense to you. There are also a number of other sister/spin-off series about these three and eventually their family. If you love hot BDSM then there is a lot of the steamy hot stuff in these books. But there is also more as the relationship between the three develops along with the lives of each character, both within and outside of their relationship.
