one bottle of wine + two champagne glasses + a three-piece bedding set = poetry under the sheets. A coming of age story and a celebration of love because love can be found if you’re willing to look.
This is an incredibly sexist and written in very simple language. Not only was the whole beginning of this book ridiculous but he talked about his wife in such a high way then wrote about how wonderful it was that she was a virgin. Almost showing the reader that was the true reason for his determination to marry her. Not only was this poor poetry but incredibly sexist and I do not recommend.
This book fails to live up to it's name. There is nothing edgy about this book. The author is very redundant and the word love is mentioned too many times to count. The poems feel staggered and are not fluidly connected. Poetry is meant to convey a story; all this book contains is cliche mediocrity. In addition, this book is very heteronormative.
This book was a waste of my time. I don't recommend reading this. If you've read Milk & Honey, you would understand why I don't think like book. Fordyce copied a bit of her style.
