Can one night of indulgence become a lifetime of happiness for Ryder and Jamie, or will the sins of their fathers destroy them?
Ryder If you asked Ryder ten years ago if he considered himself lucky, he would have laughed in your face. When you grew up where he grew up, with the father he had, there was no such thing as luck. There was only life, death, and music. But there he was, standing between the legs of the sexiest woman he ever laid eyes on, after performing on stage with his two best friends, negotiating the terms of a threesome. Yeah, he was a lucky bastard.
Jamie James Manning was a mess. Well, technically, she was a reformed mess. After karma gut punched her last fall, she promised the Universe, God, Buddha, and anyone else listening that she would change. Jamie traded in late nights for early mornings, binge drinking for compulsive baking, and casual sex for positive affirmations. She was a new person, and bored out of her mind. Lithium Springs front man, Ryder, was just the sort of distraction Jamie craved.
Lithium Waves: Book One in the Lithium Springs Series.
Writer of words. Mother of Joy. Wife of Compassion. I like to write stories about real people who go through real struggles, and come out the other side stronger. I also like to write smut. Welcome to my brain. It’s a little screwed up, but always well intended.
Lithium Waves is magic and Carmel is the magician. Her words, her characters, the way she weaves both in and out of her scenes is nothing short of brilliance. Like many of us, I first learned of her talent on fanfiction and I was hooked instantly. She draws you in from the start with her intricate details without being too wordy and time and time again I find myself in awe of her talent. I was lucky enough to get a front row seat to watch this story come alive and I loved every second of the show. Jamie and Ryder are proof of what true love looks like. Being together against all odds, when everyone and everything seems to be against you. The love that they have for each other. How selfless they both are-- it's one of those books where at the end you think. "I want that." She translates from their fun and flirty banter into their heavier talks so effortlessly. Her secondary characters-- her family, his family, the guys, even Kensie are all so important to their story and it's perfect the way she gives you glimpses of their life and their stories to come (wink wink, can't wait for the other two!!!) No one character was the same, they all had their own personalities. The villain(s) of the story were evil without being too over the top and unbelievable. They were accurate depictions of what someone in Jamie's lifestyle would have to deal with day in and day out. This story was real, it was raw, it was beautiful. It left me wanting more. I need more of Jamie and Ryder, and I'm counting down the days for the glimpses of them in her next book. (Although, I am beyond ready to see the characters in that one come to life.) I'm so proud of you, CR! You did it!! :)

I was lucky enough go be given an arc for an hoist review and I completely loved this book!
Jamie is a girl struggling with her family's expectations of her and has series commitment issues
Enter Ryder... A smoking hot musician who will do anything to earn Jamie's love
This book had me hooked from chapter one! Its so well written and flows brilliantly throughout the whole story. The side characters were great I just wish I had more from them in the story!.. But there's always more books they can ha for em to devour!
Unlike most rocker romance books this one was all about Jaime and Ryder and not about the musician lifestyle ruining everyones love life which I really enjoyed as its completely different to most rocker romance.
The duel POV was well done and I loved getting both perspectives through the story.
I can't wait for book 2.. I need more of the other characters.. That's my only complaint that I didn't get enough of the rest of the band they were always there at the sideline but nothing beyond the surface for their characters!
An amazing book who anyone a fan of musicians or romance will love... Plus the bonus of some super sexy scenes!!
Lithium Fever is addictive and I've got a chronic case of it! I've been a lithium groupie since Carmel introduced her creation on fanfiction.net. It was wicked hot, steamy, and a fabulous read. Her guys and their girls needed to be shared with the world and now everyone can fall in love with the guys of Lithium Springs and their journey to becoming rock gods and finding their goddesses along the way!
Ryder and Jamie's story is not only sizzling hot, but you also get to loose your self in the journey of how a badass Rock God with a heart of gold falls hard for his silver spoon, broken, Kitty Kat. Convincing her that she feels the same is the challenge but fighting for the love of his life is worth risking his own heart to win the battle and the prize of Jamie's heart. Jamie sees herself as too broken and damaged for anyone to love and closes herself off to protect herself... She's met her match and he won't back down no matter what she says or does... This first installment of the Lithium Springs series is a must read and will leave you wanting more...I myself can't wait to read about CT in Lithium Tides.
This was a mixed bag for me, there were many parts that I enjoyed about this book. But there also were equal parts that annoyed me to know end.
While the writing was good, the characters were an acquired taste. And actually it was more Jamie that annoyed me than anyone else. Gladly the author repeatedly reminded us of Jamie’s issues and I GOT it. The girl had baggage, but it didn’t make her behavior easier to take.
For once I wanted her to fix her ish and not have Ryder running behind her. It was quite the annoying cycle.
However, not enough for me to stop reading the next book. Because come on... I can’t wait to read about Kensie and CT. Maybe Jamie and Ryder will redeem themselves in book 2.
Oh and I was happy with the way the drama was handled... I was itching for Jared and Archer to have their asses handed to them.
I loved this quirky funny, sexy story. The characters are a hoot, Ryder is HOT, Jamie is HOT and the Mom's, well their interaction is the stuff of Sit-Com's. But underneath all of this is a romantic if unconventional look at opposites attracting, fighting for what you want and realizing that a love meant to be is unstoppable. Oh and Jamie had me at Pineapple Pizza is NOT Pizza, you know it girlfriend!
I loved this book, I loved this book, I 👏🏽 loved 👏🏽this 👏🏽 book👏🏽 I’m going to keep shouting about it
I’m officially a Carmel Rhodes fan girl—as if I wasn’t one already, but omg after this one it’s definitely solidified. I seriously can not believe this was her first book baby! 🤯🤯🤯
I loved every single thing about this book, the angst, the steam— omg the steam I was already fanning myself at 10% in. In true Carmel Rhodes fashion she had my emotions going haywire, so much annngggsssttt!! Jamie and Ryder were everything!!! Ryder is hot AF and Jamie is so stubborn I loved watching these two fall for each other it was absolutely amazing! this book had me swooning, had my heart in my stomach and had some moments that made me so angry! Ah I floved this book and I am immediately moving on to the next book in this series and I can’t wait to read about the next Lithium Springs rocker!
Why am I only just learning of this incredible author Carmel Rhodes? This book has blown me away.
OMG! Lithium Waves is hotter than sin, with great friendships, and one love that is up against the biggest evil of all a selfish greed. There's heartbreak, sadness, hate, greed, power, secrets, jealousy, lust, passion, joy & love that make up this rollercoaster of emotions amazing book.
⛔️⛔️⛔️SOME SPOILERS AHEAD⛔️⛔️⛔️

He's got a fight on his hands, he's up against the money and money can buy anything, but when it comes to Jamie the gloves are off.
Will they get an HEA?
Next up is CT's story and from reading the 1st I can't wait to get my hands on it, CT should stand for Complete Trouble because that is what a certain person is gonna find herself in with the smoking hot drummer. This is gonna be hot!
It's very hard to write the perfect review for the perfect story. There's so much to say, but you don't want to give anything away. (so read this review carefully but I try not to give much away) Waves captured me right from the start. The lives of Jamie and Ryder are realistic and powerful. They have ups and have downs that most of the world can relate too. It's the draw to watch them power through. Their love story is hot, crazy, passionate, roller-coaster of sorts. The both of them have so much angst wrapped in their past that its hard for them to release it all. Especially for Jamie. She basically had no one... expect for a couple of friends, but you find that even though she had them, they weren't there. Then Ryder comes into her life and she slowly starts to open up for him, but she's kept herself so protected for so long it because a battle. When she finally breaks through... leave it for someone that should care for her come and try and take it all away. Ryder is a loveable Rockstar with a filthy mouth and an odd liking of Mylie Cyrus and Shirley Temples. (:0) ) What girl can't fall in love with a bad boy that loves his mother.... lol ... His band mates are even crazier (and I can't wait to read their story) The writing is wonderful. Every word that comes off the paper grabs you. And the lemons(sex) are steamy and might not be safe for work. All I can say is that read this.... read it a couple times... you won't be disappointed.
I was lucky to receive an ARC of this book so I am just writing this blurb but I will be adding a lot more to my review once the book is live.
All I can say is READ THIS BOOK! Jam aka Jamie and Ryder are epic together and their chemistry is off the charts. I read a lot of different books and many of them have some type of "fantasy" in them about billionaires, perfect men, taboos, crazy drama and other things that are not always realistic and that is fine I love those stories but the thing that is different with this book is that it is just so real. Two real honest characters and a real story.
Second tome reading this series. I forgot how much I love it and how much Jamie reminds me of myself. I related to her on so many different levels. This book checks off all the qualities I love in a good! Sex, funny, heartbreak, and did I mention sex. For sure a 5 Star panty dropper.
This book has been on TBR for month(s) now but I just couldn’t find the right time to read it but better late than Never, right? This week I finally found the time to sit down and read and boy, I. Am. Shook. At this point I don’t even remember what I was expecting from this book but let me say this, I was not prepared for the Emotions and Intensity the author has poured into the book. The feelings are so Raw and the Characters so Vulnerable it gave me goosebumps. It didn’t feel like I was reading a story of two fictional characters who I didn’t knew or never heard about but as if a friend has shared their personal journal with me, like it was that Real. Jamie is not your “Damsel in Distress” waiting for a Prince to save her or even the “Charming Girl next Door” who smiles at strangers and bakes cookies for everyone and keep in mind that she is an excellent baker. She is Cold heated Workaholic with a Mantra in life and has no time for Love or Relationships. Used and manipulated by her own parents, she is broken and tired of life being unfair and suffering. Ryder is everything you would (and wouldn’t 😉) expect in an upcoming Rock star. Yes, he is a tattooed bad boy with a man bun but he is also a complete mama’s boy who drinks Shirley temple and wears Easter Bunny ears. This is story of a broken and hopeless girl and an equally broken guy who has nothing but big dreams and his friends in life. Its the story of True love and finding your Soulmate. This is one of those stories that proves that Love conquers all and that Love heals everything. End of the day you may not always have the latest fashion clothes or the most fanciest cars but if you can find someone to love you for what you are that is Everything.
5 Sex God Stars 🌟
Now on to the next book....
PS- As if the story wasn’t good enough Carmel recently added an extended epilogue where Ryder proposes in a true Napoleon style. Super freaking Cute 💖
There is no other way to describe this but to say it's deliciously hotttttttt! I was flying through the pages just wanting more. Ryder and Jamie have such a strong connection but they are always up and down in the emotional stuff. Jamie doesn't want to open up to him and he wants everything. This isn't a typical rocker romance so lots of people would enjoy this. It is more focused on the characters and I love that.
8% DNF. Quick I know. But I’m not really into any of the characters. It all happens a bit too quickly. I didn’t really like the FFM scene that much. On the shelf for now.
I really liked Ryder!!! But hate the shit he pulled after the third act breakup made me want to slap the shit out of him.
Hated Jamie for a good 47% of this book. She was closed off and self destructive it got annoying. But after that 47% mark, you really get to understand her character.

Wow! Lithium Waves was a fabulous read. Carmel Rhodes is a new author to me and I wasn't sure what to expect but the blurb grabbed my attention immediately, I'm so glad I took the chance. The story had great flow and character descriptions, it's was really easy to feel a connection to them both were plagued by their pasts dealing with it in different ways but you really saw them grow as they came together.
Ryder is the lead singer with Lithium Waves and when he lays eyes on Jamie during a gig he just knows he has to make her his.
Jamie is closed off as far as a relationship is concerned she's really struggling with the expectations her family have of her so after spending a HOT few hours with Ryder she feels the need to run.
Will Ryder get the chance to show Jamie how he really feels and will Jamie finally let down the walls around her heart and let Ryder in?
A 5 star read for be and I can't wait to get CT's story next!!
***Complimentary copy recieved for an honest review***
Lithium Waves takes you through a journey that is burning hot, but then you also feel the emotions, the struggles, the lust and the love between Ryder and James before they even said to the words! I fell in love with both Ryder and James as individuals and them as a couple; they were totally made for each other! The quick chemistry between them is so off the charts!! Ryder is a hopeless romantic, alpha male, and musician. I instantly fell in love with him, more than I thought I would! (Sorry CT!!!) James is a broken girl who is damaged and closed off. I could not help but feel for her when her story began to unfold! I quickly loved her character... and her attitude!
I read the book from start to end in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down! I got sucked down the Rabbit Hole alongside James, and I'm glad! ;) Thank you, Carmel, for sharing this beautifully written story!!
I am so excited for Lithium Tides because well, CT!!!
Jamie(James) and Ryder meet one night. Jamie is trying to be a good girl not be the destructive woman she was before. Having unprotected sex, doing drugs etc. there is something about Ryder that draws her to him. They wind up having a threesome which Ryder wasn’t really interested in but felt that was the only way he could be with Jamie. At the end of it all she disappears and Ryder doesn’t know her name or how to get in touch with her. He too has been drawn to her even though he falls in love very quickly. Not being able to find her makes Ryder very angry. Unexpectedly they meet again and it is really a lopsided relationship. Jamie is very closed off and when you finally get to know her and meet her parents you wonder how this woman survived. There is a heart breaking section where you see how unhappy she is and it made me so sad that I almost didn’t finish the book. Her father is a piece of work. Looking forward to Kensie’s story.
This was bad. I can’t wait to pick up the next one. lol
This was so dramatic and overdone. He calls her Kitty cat in the beginning and then everyone else calls her kitty cat and you would think that’s fine until you find out why he’s calling her kitty cat.
The miscarriage felt like a plot line to make us feel bad for Jamie but like her life was pretty shit and I already felt bad for her so it seemed pointless to me to put that in there.
Ryder was weird. I didn’t get him. He like instantly fell in love with her and I hate that. They get into an argument like halfway through and he calls her a bitch and then says I’m not doing this with you and walks away and she goes on a date with this other guy thinking they’ve broken up and he goes apeshit. Like granted it’s only been two days but dude YOU walked away?? What was she suppose to take that as??
This was bad bad and I have so many more complaints lol BUT it got me out of my slump so there’s that.
Lithium Waves is the first book that I've read from Author Carmel Rhodes and I enjoyed it. It's a great start to this series. In this story, Ryder is the lead singer of his up-and-coming band Lithium Springs. He sees Jamie before a show and immediately wants her, but Jamie doesn't make it easy for him. Ryder is known to fall in love too fast and Jamie is determined to not fall in love at all. There story has a lot of ups and downs and takes some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. Their road to a HEA is not an easy one.
I really liked Ryder although he truly did seem to fall too fast, but Jamie annoyed me a bit throughout this story. While I understood the reasoning for everything that she did, I think that she needed to give herself and Ryder a little more credit. Just talking to him could have saved a world of trouble! Overall though, I enjoyed their story and look forward to checking out the other bandmate's stories as well.
This was okay, definitely not better than Lithium Tides the second book.
I went into this, because I wanted to read about the two main side characters from as I can book in their love story. But I am super glad that I didn’t read this book 1st, because it would’ve put me off on the second book.
I think it’s because I did not connect with the characters as much as I connected with them in the second book. Jamie felt a little two-dimensional to me, especially when you keep seeing her woe is me vibes.
It almost felt flat, but Ryder almost saved it, just not enough to make me like the book more than I do.
I think I like them better as main side characters than main characters.
I did really like they’re me cute and that’s what kept me for a while but by page 73 I realise that I just did not like the plot and nothing was really sparking for me.
This is wasn’t it for me, but I would gladly saying that I am happy that they got their HEA!
I haven’t stayed up to finish a book in one day in a while and what a treat this was!! I’ve had this series in my to-be-read for a long time and I’m so glad I kept them there. The higher rating are so deserved.
This story was written so well. The characters were great! You love the ones your supposed to love and hate the ones you want to slap. I’m so excited to see them again when I start book 2 tomorrow.
Ryder wasn’t my speed as far a book boyfriends go but I love him. He fought for his girl even when she didn’t deserve it. You wanted to not like Kitty Cat but it wasn’t her fault so you were sad for her and routed for her. Yay for Chris & Parker (had to give them a shout out)!
What a ride. This novel starts with a bang (pun intended) and then takes you on a journey much like an amazing rock concert. Carmel hits all the right notes. It starts with the introduction of likeable leads (Ryder and James). Each comes in with a history which up to now has stood in their way in finding love. Carmel piles on a huge pile of obstacles which forces the pair to face every issue they've ever had. There are a host of surprises and twists along the way, as the novel breezes along mixing swoon worthy romance along with a rapidly moving plot that keeps you flipping all the way up to the surprising climax. I may be late to the Lithium Springs world but can't wait to dive into the next book in the series. Well done.
This was the first book I have read from this author and it was well worth the read. This book is about Jamie who is a reporter and Ryder who is the lead singer of the band Lithium Springs. From the moment the meet the attraction between them is scorching. Ryder is a sensitive person who follows his heart whereas Jamie holds back from the beginning of the relationship, she fights the relationship with Ryder despite how she feels. They both have dark pasts and family issues. Ryder’s fellow band mates Jack and CT are brilliant and looking forward to reading their stories. I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it
I loved this book! This rockstar romance was so easy to devour. You ever have a wild fantasy of just going for it one night with a stranger? The heroine in this book followed her heart (or vagina) and has wild, passionate might with the lead singer of a band, totally out of character, and it bites her in the ass when he becomes smitten with her.
Our heroine is strong and independent, and following the hero in all the ways he tries to have her see past that one night was so much fun. This author can write a steamy scene one minute then make my heart twinge the next. This book was perfectly paced, kept me hooked to the pages, and I'm absolutely reading book 2 right away.
