Of all the subs Jennifer works with as a Domme-for-hire for Hooded Pleasures as Danielle, her favorite is Nathan Harrowsford, a sexy, tough yet kind beat cop with a desire to be dominated on his days off.
Though she is responsible for creating a haven for his fantasies, it’s he who makes her feel safe. Yet when she learns a violent piece of her past has been let out on parole, she hesitates to bring Nathan anywhere near her complicated world.
Nathan doesn t know anything about Danielle, not even her real name. But when she reluctantly asks for his help, he’s determined to move heaven and earth for her safety. Because he’s a cop, a man, and her submissive in that order.
When danger hits too close to home, Nathan’s race to save her and the rest of her subs pushes him to the edge of his skills, and his feelings for his Domme. Because he’s no longer willing to settle for being just her client. He wants her for his full-time lover if they live long enough.
Warning: Sexy cop who raise the heat in the kitchen and out and a man who's not afraid to rise from his knees to guard his lover's back.
I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. This is book three in the "Hooded Pleasures" series. Jennifer works at Domme-for-hire for Hooded Pleasures as a female Dom named Danielle. 'Danielle' has a favorite client named Nathan Harrowsford who is a cop and on his off time likes to have 'Danielle' be his Dom. Jennifer finds that someone from the past is getting out on parole and she feels she needs Nathan help. Nathan is more than willing to help and also wants to bring their relationship to a different level..a more permanent one.
Strictly Yours is book three in Sheryl Nantus' Hooded Pleasures series. I wholeheartedly loved books one and two, so it was a no-brainer to read this one as well! All of the books can be read as stand-alones, but some characters do make appearances so you may wish to start with book one.
Jennifer works for Hooded Pleasures as a Domme for hire. Hooded Pleasures is a company that supplies Doms and Subs for people that otherwise can not be seen in a club atmosphere. Of all of her clients, Nathan is her favorite. He is a cop and likes to be dominated by "Danielle" in his time off.
Jennifer is on alert when a person from her past resurfaces and has Jennifer in his sights. She finds that she needs Nathan's help. He makes her feel safe.
Nathan wants more from "Danielle". He wants to date the real woman and hopefully take it to the next level. When she comes to him and requests his help, he is all too happy to help her.
I enjoyed Jen and Nathan's story. Both are strong characters. Jen lets her guard down and that draws Nathan in even more. I loved how she allowed him in. I was fascinated by the scenes that were painted-especially the faux club scene. She wrote it with such vividness! I felt as if I was watching it there!
All in all, this was a solid story and a good addition to the Hooded Pleasures series!
4 stars/3.5 flames
This book was gifted to me for the express purpose of an honest review. The rating and review are solely my opinion and in no way was I compensated.
I read this third book in the series Hooded Pleasures and really enjoyed it. Jennifer and Nathan are two people that find their kinks and love align more than either want to admit. It's refreshing to have a sweet, intense and kinky fiction that's realistic.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
The third in the series - although you could read each as a stand alone, as they are about different characters each time. I have enjoyed them all so far.
After the last story which had a lead character that definitely had to grow on you - here we have two delicious leads who start out as Domme engaged via HP, and alpha male, but submissive, cop. The dynamics between these two when in a scene, and then their ordinary (separate) lives contrasts so strongly that it heights the senses. Clearly they have a bond even when in role, but as things get scary for Jen, Nathan is a strong person to provide support, and care. The role changes work well, and possibly emphasise the importance of D/s and its interaction with the every day. I loved Nathan's conviction, and his stability - just what was needed as things got more dangerous. As they get closer, and danger nears, the additional impact of her having to look after the other men that she provided a Domme service to, was well played out.
I felt that the distance travelled was less than in Strictly Pleasure - but it was an enjoyable read. Looking forward to book 4!
I received a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads 3 1/2 stars. After completely enjoying the first book in this series I jumped to read Strictly Yours. Unfortunately this story fell a bit flat for me. Jennifer is a decent character and I liked her well enough and Nathan was a great submissive male, he was written well, I saw him as a strong man but submissive in nature with a Domme. I just wasn't sure I was on board for the 3rd part of the story, where Jennifer is being harassed by an ex convict. The one she thwarted from an almost hostage situation at the clinic where she worked. I wasn't sure why I couldn't wrap my head around him coming after her and her submissives but something about the story just didn't work for me. I also found in this installment an overuse of "scene setting" descriptives that took me out of the story or had me skimming the pages for real content. I still enjoyed Jennifer & Nathan's story together and the session scenes were very steamy even the ones that were just their imagination instead of actually happening. So I give this book a 3 1/2 stars.
Surprisingly, more romance than erotica. A professional Domme who makes housecalls and her favorite client a beat cop.
Jen, whose “day job“ is a medical receptionist at a urgent care clinic, once had a hand in subduing a violent man seeking out his abused wife. Now that man is out on parole and a series of suspicious incidents have her running scared.
Nathan picks up on her nerves and offers to help. Having no one else to confide in, and conscious of keeping her position as a Domme a secret, she shares her concerns with Nathan. But now that they’ve crossed that first line, their relationship will never be the same.
Relatively tame kink wise. Nathan likes impact play & mild bondage. And as long as she’s his Domme-for-hire, sex is off the table.
The story takes place in Canada. Which is notable only for the fact that Nathan doesn’t carry either his service weapon or a side piece when off the job.
Kate who is mentioned several times as Nathan’s first Domme is featured in the first book in this series. I’m a rebel reading the books out of order.
Jennifer discovers that a man who terrorized the clinic where she worked has been paroled. She is afraid and Nathan, her client, can tell something is wrong. Because she trusts him, she tells him. He will protect her because he is a cop but also because he has come to love her as his Domme. Trouble follows for more than Jennifer. Hooded Pleasures is pulled into the problems. What comes out? Will Nathan be able to save Jennnifer?
I enjoyed this story. I was upset when my phone needed to be recharged while reading this. I was hard to put down. I wanted to know what happened. I liked Jennifer and Nathan. They were good together. Nathan had to decide what to do about Jennifer once the story was out.
I liked the story. I liked how Jennifer cared for Nathan and also the reputation of Hooded Pleasures. I'm sorry this series is over. I would like to see where all these characters are in 10 years.
I enjoyed this one. The D/s elements are really well done, especially the scenes between the two of them, and I loved how comfortable Nathan was with his desires, even if he needed to keep it a secret from everyone else. He’s a great character actually, protective and strong when necessary, submissive and obedient when required. I loved the way he took care of Jen in whatever way he could, even if it wasn’t always in the most obvious of ways.
I liked Jen too. She’s strong and independent, yet cares deeply for her subs. I liked how the relationship between her and Nathan developed, slowly letting him into her life and being strong enough to accept his help at times, taking things beyond their weekly appointment and into a more full time arrangement.
The more suspenseful side of the plot was nicely handled too. There is one exceedingly obvious suspect, but I liked how this didn’t blind them to all possibilities and how these possibilities are explored as more happens and the trouble grows closer. It stopped it from being too predictable and always left open the possibility that things are not as clear cut as they seem.
Okay, if I’m honest I would have liked a bit more conversation about the development of Jen and Nathan’s relationship, especially when concerning her other subs and how it made each of them feel. On the whole, though, I found this a sexy, enjoyable read with a purely positive D/s relationship, interesting characters and a plot that unfolded with heat and peril. Good stuff. I think I’ll be keeping out for more from this author, as well as checking out the rest of the series sometime.

I liked the first half of the book but I was quickly losing interest in this couple.
Strictly Yours is a good read but I thought it needed more. Jen and Nathan are in a relationship but by contract only. Soon Nathan realizes he wants more when Jen's past haunts her. He wants to protect her and keep her his.
It had some BDSM elements but it was a little light on that angle. I also thought it took too long for them to realize that they wanted to be a couple . They didn't become a couple until the last quarter of the book.
This is one of those books that to be honest was the worst of the three in this series, extremely under developed, and more on the problem character then the mistress/submissive relationship as the first two books were. Missing a heck of a lot of character development, and overall, I did not like it.
