In the second book of the vibrantly depicted Dragons of Galicia Series, Evelyn of Gorias rises to her dragon slayer calling as she fights to conquer a kingdom of deceit, betrayal, and powerful dragons.
Though Evelyn survived the journey across the mountain ranges, the challenges are just beginning. Verubri Castle holds dark secrets, Prince Kieran is a tyrant, and Ciara is resolute on destroying Evelyn and seducing the prince.
When a dragon nearly burns down an entire village, Evelyn must go after the beast. But this won’t be easy, not when the prince has her heavily guarded. Evelyn’s hope wains, until she encounters a stranger who changes the course of everything.
With the looming threat of the entire clan of Galician Dragons being reawakened, Evelyn must hurry to save the kingdom, while Ciara aims to rule it. To accomplish their goals, they must defeat Prince Kieran. In their individual struggles to conquer and prevail, Evelyn and Ciara face external and internal demons they never imagined possible.
Great story with fantastic characters. You have characters fighting for good and characters fighting for evil. There are plenty of plot twists and action you never know which way the story will turn. The saying goes keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer but in this case it might be better to go ahead and just chill your enemies off you might live longer. I love the story it’s got a great lead character and is very entertaining with plenty of fantasy geographical detail. Simone Pond really knows how to entertain when she writes a book. Once you pick it up you cannot put it down until you are finished. On to book number three. If you liked the story should check out the rest of her books you will not be disappointed. I have not read one of her books that I did not love yet. Check them all out.

Yet again, I loved this book. This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Simone Pond is definitely a name to look for. This is the second book in the series, and it DID NOT disappoint. The unexpected twists and turns combined with all of the near death action made it hard to put down. The story flowed from beginning to end and the characters are so well written that they feel like real people who you meet on the street. The historical aspects are amazingly done with great detail. On to book 3!
