Pain. It was something Finn “Handle” Kaidion knew well after losing his wife. Pain was what kept him guarded against any further relationships.

Pain was also something Mardella “Della” Kent felt after losing her sister and from being dragged into the pits of hell by a madman. Only he was no longer an issue. Instead, having her parents turn their back on her was a new reason pain kept beating at her door.

Can two people learn to trust and live free from their past sorrows?

"That moment between us was beautiful, yet so fucking devastating."

👆🏻 That one sentence was enough to gut me.

I knew going in to Handle and Della's story that it was going to be gut wrenching. So fucking bittersweet at times. perfectly imperfect it's A beautiful disaster.

I've been a huge fan of this author since Holding Out was released. Her books just get better&better although quite frankly I've loved them from the start. Her plots are deep and sometimes gut wrenchingly raw. her characters are relatable and I never struggle to connect with them. To understand them. The storyline was set at the perfect pace sucking you into their world taking you on a rollercoaster of emotions. I cried my eyes dry, got so mad my stomach burned and laughed so hard there was no sound coming out. Its a journey!. I was rooting for Handle & Dalla all the way! To broken souls making one whole. Their story isn't and easy read but for that sweet ending... it's worth that turbulent ride. I love all the characters!! I don't think I'll ever have enough of Julian!! He is just fabulous. I love the banter and bickering. The times where the men get all growling and alpha on their women (sigh) it's just delicious.
Another great book to add to Lila's ever growing collection.

I can't wait for what's next.

Della and Handle were two lost souls who weren't even searching for each other when fate stepped in. Della had been abused in a way that it was a wonder she could even fathom being in the same room as a man and Handle had suffered such great loss it was a wonder he didn't give up. Both of them were wary of the other, but each found a way to let their relationship play out. This was one of my favorite books in this series. It didn't make me crazy like Dallas and Melissa's did. It told the story of how two people could find a new path to happiness together. There was an unexpected twist that made the story interesting.

Finn isn't bashful, he's all for giving his girl what she wants, “see that wasn’t a no, and I don’t give a eff where we are. If you want somethin’ from me, you’re gonna get it.” He leaned in slowly..." Finn really cares about his woman, “I do. My woman ain’t sleepin’ in a *****ole of a room. Give me half an hour, baby.” I liked this novella.

I’m a huge fan of Lila Rose’s Hawks MC series. Each hero and heroine she introduces readers to has his/her own ugly to contend…own past to torment him/her, but because Rose’s biker heroes always have their brothers to lean on and to help battle all of their internal/external demons, even when they don’t ask for the assistance or feel ready to face the fight that needs to take place, these alpha males learn to live in the present, letting go of the past and fighting for the future that they never knew they wanted or could have again.

Finn “Handle” Kaidion knows loss…he knows pain…he knows what it’s like to love and then have that love ripped from him, and he refuses to go down that road again; he doesn’t feel like he has anything to offer another woman nor is he will to shatter his heart any more than it already is…until Della.

Mardella “Della” Menti is just as tortured and damaged as Finn; she feels like she doesn’t have control of her life because the memories of what was done to her keeps her a prisoner…in her mind and in her body, but for some reason, Finn grounds Della; he makes her feel empowered and regardless of how messed up they both are and how much they fight their feelings and desires for one another, there comes a point when they realize that their connection just might bring them both into the light and perhaps bring in beauty amidst the ugliness of their pasts.

Break Out is the perfect title for Finn and Della’s story; they both need to escape the mental torment that plagues them and push through the barrier they’ve placed around their heart and Della, especially, needs to find a way to take back control of her body, deciding who she gives herself to instead of worrying that it will be taken without her consent. But the only way they can come to terms with their pasts is to no longer be chained to the memories of everything that occurred and while that trauma will never be fully erased, focusing on the present…fighting to live in the now and not run from the overwhelming feelings that seem to consume Finn and Della when it comes to their attraction to each other.

It’s not easy to break free from the pain…from the guilt…from the darkness, but perhaps these two lost souls can come together step beyond the self-imposed prison they’ve used to cope with since their worlds were turned upside down due to other people’s actions.

AGAIN

Lila did it again. She never fails to bring you an epic book and this was just that..... epic!!! Handle and Della's story was heart warming and filled with a true connection. Handle is one sweet bike with a edgy touch. Loved Fella becoming the strong woman she was before her trauma. Totally loved it.

This is really a follow up to Walkout, Dallas and Lissa's story. Della was traumatized by what happened in Walkout, and Handle was there for her then and continues to be there for her in this book. Handle is a hot and tattooed alpha biker, but he's learning that he is more than that. Liked this one, especially since I had read Walkout. This was a quick, hot read with some heart.

Sweet

Break Out was one of utter heartbreak but also healing and forgiveness. Handle had demons of his own the devastating loss of his wife at the hands of a mad man due the selfishness of his blood brother that betrayal nearly cost him his club . Handle was bitter & angry but made a promise to his club ,loyalty . He vowed to never get into another relationship again that was until Della .
Della went through hell , hell at the hands of a man who took everything away from her she vowed to get revenge bring him to justice only he got the upper hand and Della's life was forever changed . Handle helped save Della in more ways then one protecting her from the moment he saw her he vowed she would always live in the light and she did with him by her side . They both grew in love and light they learnt to trust again and learnt to forgive and with the Hawks MC behind them there was nothing they couldn't do.

Mardella "Della" Kent has survived the evilness that abused her and threatens to consume her. She is a strong woman and has found strength she didn't even know she had. In a moment wanting to regain control she sought out Finn "Handle" Kaidion, feeling safe for once. Although they thought it would be one moment and done they find themselves reconnecting. Can a man who never expected to have a woman again in his life take a chance and can a broken woman lean on the man who is becoming her rock?

Wonderful and heartbreaking at times. I thought Della was a powerful character who you admire for her realistic feelings. This series always continues to surprise me. Another great read from Lila Rose.

This was another great addition to the Hawks MC Series!

We've met Handle and Della in Break Out. There we learned both their back stories and to be honest both have had some pretty bad heartbreak.

This book tells of them finally getting together! YAY!!!

Still struggling with her recent past Della is trying to get back to being herself. She's seeing a counselor and talking to Melissa her friend and looking for a job. She's still not quite there. Her abusers took her power away she she wants it back. She looks to use Handle to do this.

Handle is still struggling with his loss. He's determined never to have anyone that close again because he wouldn't be able to get over the loss. He's happy just hanging with his brothers and taking a woman when the need takes him. One thing stands in his way of living this life. Della. After helping to rescue her and helping her recover he can't get her out of his mind. He's fighting a losing battle to stay away from her. One night Della approaches him with a request. He can't turn her down. It's at this point that Handle starts to lose his battle with himself and he starts to fall for her.

Their road is rocky with a few surprises along the way but it's all worth it in the end.

Aww this book was kind of a sweet addition to the series. Although the subject matter is pretty dark i love the too and fro between Della and Handle. Even after everything they've been through they still find the passion to argue and banter and i loved that!

Handle is so lovely! Obviously he's still a bossy alpha biker but he's so thoughtful with Della he melted my heart! The end bit nearly pushed me over the edge it was so sweet!!

Della is incredibly strong. She's gone through so much in a short space of time but still she finds the strength to grab her power back!

The only downside i found was that there wasn't enough club action for me. I really wanted to know what the hey is going on with this guy grabbing the girls from the strip clubs. The only thing we got a bit more on is Python from rival MC Venom. He's gonna get his handed to him in the next book i hope!!

Well written and paced, great little storyline i just wanted more club action.

I would say this is not a standalone book and you really do need to read the rest of the series. Its a great one so you really should!

Good, but it could have been more.
I really wanted this to be a bit more about Handle and Del getting through their truama together, but it was kind of brushed under the carpet and gotten over with real quick.
Firstly, I really disliked how Melissa and Dallas seemed to have no respect for Della's truama. The girl has literally (2 months ago) been drugged, abused, and SA'd several times, but they are more than happy to go at it like rabbits in the next room.
Secondly, it was a bit annoying that Del had like 2 therapist sessions, and she was over it all. There were no nightmares and barely any flinching with all the men around. Realistically, she should have been petrified of them all.
And the third. The damn pregnancy trope, this author just loves it. At this point, it's no longer a motorcycle club it's a "find your baby daddy" club. It really ruined the book for me when this came up. It just wasn't needed. It could have been more about them working through things and building a beautiful relationship without a baby right away. She never even had a thought that it wasn't his when she had been SA'd a few days or a week prior to being with him.
And there was barely a mention of his first love. That went from his woman to wife in 2 paragraphs, so I'm not sure what she was originally. He never talked much about her, how they met, how long they had been together. I thought there was going to be a nice chapter of them getting to know each other, but there wasn't. Over 1 night, they went from arguing to "I love yous.
And I'm really over all the bikers disliking Julian it's annoying. He helps them all but they still groan and bitch when he comes around. It's been like 4 years' move on.. you accept your brothers being in poly or gay relationships but are bothered by 1 guy because he is flirty and energetic.
Could have been better.

Handle put that Handle in Della and made a baby

Ohh I knew this book was going to be good. I didn't even have to think about.

... Spoilers here and there..

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2018...

I love Handle and Della story, I was glad they both found Love in each other. Especially with what they both been through.

Handle with the murder of his wife and losing her and thinking he'll never find another like Jenny. His brother was the cause of his love to die. And having the hawks kick his *** because of his bum of a brother. I was glad that Pick came in a save him for dying too. Because Pick understood Handle and his situation because he was once there before.

And to Della situation with his sister getting killed by a evil man Melissa demon ex husband. Who I'm glad finally got his ***killed. Because he not only hurt Ashley sister but Della too. With drugging her and letting his men rape her.

And then her parents disowning her because she went after the man who killed her sister.

In the end I was glad they both made each other happy Finnegan (Finn) aka Handle and Mardella aka Della. I love the fact though she was learning to get her control back from what those men done to her she confined in Handle. And ended up with his child. So cute. Good story cannot wait to read the next book to the Caroline Springs Hawks MC series with Fang and Poopy. I was like who in the world is Fang lol then I realized who he was lol. But anyways I'm hoping for a story with Elvis too.

I'm going to start this with this, IMO, is NOT a standalone. The previous books should be read before Break Out, as there are returning characters and it just makes so much more sense, and more enjoyable when you get what is going on and who everybody is. That being said, we met Della in Walk Out and learned about her situation. Handle has proven his loyalty to the Hawks, and has been sort of drifting through life since he was betrayed by his brother. Having stayed to help Della out, this is the first time in years that Handle is actually feeling something, but will Della ever be ready for something more with him?

I really enjoyed this novella. Bringing back some of the old beloved characters for a cameo of sorts, and introducing new ones as well. With action, hot sexy times, and some funny bits, I give this 5 stars.

We saw in Walkout (Melissa and Dallas’ story) that bad things had happened to both Della and Handle, but there also seemed to be some chemistry between the pair. In Breakout, we get to see them take a chance on moving forward.

This was a nice little novella to keep us going until the next book, and gives us a look at Della and Handle getting their own HEA. A few sexy moments, some drama with a tiny bit of MC action thrown in and Break Out earns 4 stars from me.

I am absolutely in love with this book. Lila has written a masterpiece that is soul deep. The emotions this book envokes are beautiful. I love reading about not only the main couple in this book but past couples and future charecters and the relationships they all share.

Finn and Della are a beautiful couple to read about they find themselves in each other and they heal their beautiful but broken souls with the love they share. I loved reading the friendship between Mardella and Melissa and that is a bond they will have for life. I found reading this book that it buries itself soul deep and you can definitely emerse yourself in this book and feel all the emotions along with them.

I would recommend this book and author to anyone who loves getting immersed in an amazing book with amazing charecters. Lila has a talent with her writing where it actually makes you believe the charecters are living breathing people who love with everything they are and protect with all that is in them. Absolutely Amazing. I can not wait for the next installment in their lives. I hope you love this book/series as much as I do.

As a huge fan of the Hawks MC I am always excited to head back to the Caroline Springs Charter to be immersed in their world. This is Handle and Della's story and these two have been to hell and back and are lost in their pain. These two are drawn to each other and without realizing it they begin to develop feelings that they cannot deny. Break Out is all about emotional growth and strength and the realization that relying and leaning on the right person can finally bring you happiness. There will be laughs, smiles, tears, frustration and some seriously hot alpha moments but ultimately their story is about coming out of the dark into the light where you can breathe and move forward.
P.S. If you are a lover of the Hawks MC you will be happy to know that our all time favourite character Julian has a little appearance.

Loved, Loved,Loved this story. It was heartbreaking at some point. I went through some emotions reading this one . Both Finn and Della went through some tragedies and they both needed closure. Della was one female that truly deserved a good man to love and take care of her. She went through something no woman should ever have to go through and none it is time for her to take her life back.

Finn(Handle) maybe the man to help her. He is also in pain after losing his ole lady. Finn is gruff but a good man. He shows Della what it is to be loved. This big tough biker I instantly fell for him. This is a great story that two people who went through a tragedy can now find peace, solace, and love with each other.

This story deserve so many more stars then five and I will be reading this one again.

Del and Finn, what a pair

Della has been to hell, packed a lunch, and stayed a while, but she’s back..how can she rationalize her feelings for Handle..she wants him, but is it too soon to want a man after what she’s been through..can Handle deal with finding a woman and love again..these two need to get out of their own way before they can find they’re HEA.

I loved this short book. Handle and Della really took a chance and found what the6 needed in each other arms. Once the6 stopped second guessing themselves, everything started to fall in place. They even got some bonus good news to boot.

It may be too soon for Della to be wit( Handle without really working on what happened to her and finding new coping skills, but who are we to determine when someone. Is ready to move on. She found herself again with Handle, and it was wonderful to see.

This story is short, fast paced and action packed. I read this book in one sitting and was left wanting more. I liked that Handle and Della were both broken souls. Both had been through different heart-breaking situations yet they were so similar. I thought they suited one another perfectly. They each had the ability to heal one another’s fractured parts. The chemistry between them was clear to see. I liked how gruff Handle/Finn is. He wanted Della yet he didn’t. He wanted Della yet he felt he wasn’t worthy of her. As for Della, I liked that she let Handle in. She didn’t want to start a relationship. She didn’t want to lose control yet she couldn’t stop the feelings she developed for Handle. Yet once she let the fear go and gave love a chance, she was free of her past.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more from Lila Rose.

"Take back the power. This is you, your life, your control, and no one can take that from you again."

A sweet novella about Handle and Della. After meeting Della in the previous book and hearing her involvement in the story it was only a matter of time when it was her turn for a book. Throughout the book I honestly couldn't create an image of Handle, visually I mean, sure he was already present in other books, but still I felt as if I didn't know him, you know? Maybe this was intentionally set by the author, though Della was a force to be reckoned with.

Gotta admit the timeline of the book kinda bothered me, as did the feeling of non-closure - could have been my mood; but I could build a better connection with the other characters. Nontheless, one has to say it was sweet and another great story by Lila Rose.

This book is tightly tied to a previous book, Walkout, featuring Dallas and Melissa.  It is best if you read that book, before beginning this one.

Handle and Della are both hurting.  Both have traumatic pasts.  There are feelings between them, but their pasts are keeping them from moving forward.

Della is so strong and brave!  What she was able to overcome was amazing!  And Handle was so careful and patient with her, protective and supportive!

There was plenty of action, twists and turns in this book.  One surprise after another kept me guessing right through the prologue.  This was a great addition to the Hawks MC world.

OMG I loved this book so much. The storyline was intriguing and captivating, but also warm and loving. Everything about this book was engaging and entertaining, it drew me in and kept my interest from beginning to end. I loved Handle and Della. Della’s story is one of heartbreak, on so many levels, and it was really nice to have her get her HEA. Handle, what a guy. He was a bit of an arse to begin with but he soon thawed and was so loving and protective. They made a great couple, so much chemistry and love between them, you couldn’t miss it. Another awesome read to add to this fantastic series. Cannot wait for the next book!

Manda's 4 Star Review

I love this author and get so excited when a new book comes out. I find that I really care about these characters and what happens to them. I want them to be happy and to have fun and find their peace. I know that with each of these books I am going to get a story that I can't put down with new characters who fit right in with the family. Once again the writing is fantastic and the characters are beautifully damaged. I cannot wait for what comes next. This is definitely one of my go to favorite authors and I highly recommend all the books by this author!!!

Bikers no need to say anything more

I have been looking forward to Handle's story, I wasn't disappointed, as usual we had tears and humour, drama and lightheartedness, this whole series is amazing, I am gutted I have to wait for the next one, all the stories interlock even though you could read them as standalones, this story refers alot to Dallas and Melissa's story so maybe best to read that first, but not compulsory as there is brief descriptions of what happened in it through this book,

FLoved these two.

I’ve been an rabid oops avid fan of Lila’s from book one after stumbling across it on Amazon. My hmmm going to try this one out turned into gimme gimme gimme when each new book released. Handle and Della’s story is a great addition to the series and seeing these two damaged people get a very HEA was a great read knowing from what we’d glimpsed in the book prior. We all have our demons, some worse than others, but it takes a strength and strength of will to come out on top and this story has it all. Great job Lila can’t wait for the next in the series.

Sigh... Handle and Della couldn't get more perfect if they tried! There love story was fast and furious and their life together hopefully will be just as special! I am so happy Finn was able to finally get his ending he deserves and Della found her home. She learned to trust and he learned to let go of the horrid past and except a new life. They are perfect together!
I really like that even in a Novella, Lila Rose makes you feel like you have read as much content as you would in a full novel!

Another enjoyable story to add to the Hawks collection!

This was another enjoyable Hawks MC story from Lila Rose; this time about Handle and Della who we met in Dallas and Melissa's book. Handle was your typical alpha male Hawks member who wanted Mardella from the moment he saw her and now that she is in Melbourne living with Melissa he is realising that Della is who he wants and he needs to make his move! The story was a little corny for my tastes at times but still a good book that has also set the groundwork for Fang and Poppy who are the next Hawks couple...

Love!

I have not come across a book in this series I didn't like. Finn, aka "Handle", is not any different. He is all Alpha when it comes to protecting Della. After what Della has been through it is refreshing to see her have her own happy ending. When it comes to her family it's is quite upsetting how she is being treated. I wanted to crawl into the book and snack her father. Seeing her come out stronger in the end is incredible.
This is a standalone but characters from previous books appear so I suggest to read the books in order to get the full impact of the story.
