Do you get up every morning, spend close to an hour or more getting ready, pick out the perfect outfit, make sure your makeup is suitable, then style your hair just so? Do you slip your feet into your favorite heels, lock your modest one-bedroom apartment, climb into your practical car? Do you drive twenty minutes to downtown, find a spot in the company parking garage?

If you do, then you’re very much like me.

However, I think our stories will differ significantly once you get to your office and I get to mine.

Sure, it’s possible you work in a high-rise office building in the heart of downtown. It could be any downtown office in any big city, in fact. New York, Chicago, Dallas. The location doesn’t matter. It’s even feasible to think that you’re a secretary for a multi-billion-dollar PR firm. You could even have four bosses like I do. Four mouth-watering, male bosses, even.

But, like I said, at that point, our stories will likely be drastically different.

In order for you to understand why, I’ll have to start at the beginning…

This is the first part of a duet - the 2nd book is being published on the same day. This book is not for the faint of heart. It contains explicit sexual content, including, but not limited to BDSM, swapping, sharing, voyeurism, exhibitionism, m/f/m, m/m, and m/m/f encounters.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nicole Edwards spends her days stringing words together to make complete sentences. Sometimes not. Her best friend is coffee, and she has a love/hate relationship with sarcasm. She’s been accused of having a filthy imagination, which she admits is true.

Nicole lives in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. She proudly claims one husband, three grown children, and two bosses (better known as the dogs). When she isn’t writing, watching football or hockey, or keeping her bosses happy, you can probably find her with a book in hand.

One woman

4 alpha Doms

An office arrangement

with these segments alone and a lil bit of imagination, you can fly high...

I guarantee you that

And Nicole Edwards is known for some of the best MMF and MFM unconventional relationships with extremely emotional heights...

BUT

unfortunately, I missed out on the emotional segment here since I wasn't immersed in that part of the story cause i simply didn't find it *shrugs*

BUT

there's absolutely plenty of steam and hawtness and tingling positions that will spur your imagination to the absolute heights of hot and bothered...

But other than that, there's not much there, unfortunately 😒

Not gonna lie, when I started this one I had a frown on my face . . . was this really written by Nicole Edwards? The same author who wrote Hard to Hold? Because the setup for this story was...n't good. Luci, the heroine, is in desperate need of a job, which is fine, but she's portrayed as . . . well, see for yourself:
It was one of the most prestigious PR firms in the city and they were looking for a secretary. Which I thought was the same thing as a receptionist, right? Different term, same job? At least I hoped so because I excelled at that. I mean, I was born to talk on the phone.
Uh, what? She's 24 and a college grad?

So she goes on the interview with her soon-to-be 4 bosses and I was treated to her inner thoughts which were all along the lines of this:
Although his voice sounded professional there was something in his eyes that said he would prefer to know my bra size.
And I was like, OH! It's a smut romp! Well, okay then, let's do this!

Except the author spent the first 25% of the story trying to portray a serious story . . . about 4 skeevy men who are grooming Luci for her real role at the company - submissive sex-a-tary. Ewww!

But then the sex started and my principles went out the window. :) Because the sex was crazy, super-hot until about 60%. At that point, things went downhill for me when the bosses started with the BDSM with no warning to Luci.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love me some kinky D/s scenarios. Unfortunately, the author gave me everything that I despise . . . no warning for the s, very limited aftercare, lots of condescension from the D's, and worst of all: 'I'm what's important, and you're basically furniture' vibes.

Annnnd I was out.

5 Star Review Office Intrigue (Office Intrigue Duet #1) by Nicole Edwards

Firstly both books in this duet are being released on the same day which is totally awesome as we do not have to wait to see what happens. There were so many layers to this book that Nicole Edwards had to break it in two and I totally understand why she did.

As Ms. Edwards states there is a combination of MFM, MF, MM and MMF, throw in BDSM, swapping, sharing, voyeurism and exhibitionism and you have a story that ignites as you read.

Having read all of Ms.Edwards previous book and absolutely devouring the Club Destiny and Walker Brother series, I was excited when I learned about this duet. Two of may favourite genres are BDSM and menage and you will most assuredly find both in this book as well as the next one; this is a seriously hot book and one which will be sure to get you going.

There were moments when I laughed, I cried and at times I wanted to shout with frustration; the communication which is essential in a D/s relationship at times failed.

This is the story of Luciana (call me Luci) and the four men who are her bosses at a PR firm. Langston, his twin brother Landon, Justin and Ben are all dominants, although Ben is actually a switch. While Luci is intrigued by their offer to explore submission she has no idea what she is opening herself up too.

The chemistry between Luci and all the men, but in particular Langston and Landon was off the charts and it most certainly led to many steamy scenes, throw in BDSM and I was always going to be hooked.

However for me, these books are primarily a true love story, of overcoming fears, of acceptance, not only of others but of ourselves and with hard work and determination how a person can truly evolve. Office Intrigue is not only about sex, at the heart of this book is a story about finding the courage to look deep inside yourselves and to recognise what you need to make you happy.

I usually enjoy a good BDSM-menage story, but unfortunately I didn't with this one. Maybe the other part will be better.

This is the type of D/s story I like, where the sub is comfortable with who she is, and what that can mean for her. Her 4 Doms (yeah 4!) are close to perfect, as they progress slowly and earn her trust carefully. The various scenes are fairly creative and include interesting situations involving exhibition, which I enjoy. There is very little angst, mainly expressed as her self-doubt, and the Doms surprise at how quickly they bond with her.

Arguably, everything is a bit too easy for everyone, but the sex is hot and no one is an ass. Also, the book is long, and apparently just the first half of the story, so there is a little bit of repetition in the details in the scenes. But those are hot scenes, so that's OK.

I'll be reading the second book.

This was book 1 in the "Office Intrigue Duet" Luci needs a job a friend of hers recommends a secretary position to her and to her surprise she gets the job. The owners of the PR firm that she works for are hot sexy rich dominant men and they have plans for her. Landon and Langston Moore are hot sexy twins who are both Doms. Justine Parker is also a Dom and Ben Snowdon is a switch with Justin being his Dom. I really liked all the guys but I thought that Luci was to naive. After working for a month they up her job description and she goes along with it without asking any questions. Langston begins having feelings for her and begins training her to become his sub and although Landon wants for them to share a woman he feels that Luci is being rushed. Luci didn't ask any questions or when she was upset she didn't say anything to them about it. Luci doesn't have a good relationship with her mother who I didn't like. I love reading this author she is one of my favorites. This book was a little too long at time to me. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Edwards never disappoints on hotness in her storylines. This one is a bit different because the relationships have boundaries. It's a different kind of office romance and I'm looking forward to seeing some outcome in book two.

Unconventional, hot, compelling and in the end a book that continues to run though my head long after I put it down

I am diving right into book 2 beyond thankful the author is releasing the duet on the same day for readers

This story is a duet because it is a long layered well done story with multiple main characters
I am going to need to think about how to review this story without providing spoilers

The blurb certainly informs the readers there is lots of sex in various combinations
That is accomplished with a number of very well crafted characters
And scenes that was just WOW
Captivating, intriguing, mesmerizing and thought provoking

Wow!! Office Intrigue is the first book in the Office Intrigue Duet by Nicole Edwards. The plot centers around Luciana "Luci" Wagner who goes to interview for a position at one of the top PR firms in her city with four of the hottest and sexiest bosses anyone has ever seen. Of course, she is offered the job and she accepts. The real question is what job did she accept, because her job definitely comes with some extremely atypical job requirements that will be explained later after she has accepted? Not all is what it seems from the outside in the Office!! And it is from there that we begin this journey of discovery with Luci.

I must say that this book was very different from the other Nicole Edwards books that I have read. This series is not for the faint of heart. It contains heavy BDSM scenes, and although I do and have read BDSM books, this one was a lot different for me, and I must admit it took me longer to read this book, and that was not just because the book is long. This one forced me to turn off my "Did that really just happen? Isn't this an office?" thinking. Hahaha!! There are a whole lot of things, naughty things, happening in this office. This book is pants on fire naughty!! Whoa!! Office Intrigue is one of the hottest and sexiest books Nicole Edwards has ever written and that is saying something, because Nicole Edwards is definitely known for setting the pages on fire in her books!! I will say that although the book is long, I enjoyed the fact that Nicole Edwards took time to really take us on this journey with Luci, because, we, the readers, are learning about this new world and making discoveries for the first time right along with Luci. Nicole Edwards did a great job of explaining the terminology and lingo in the BDSM lifestyle. I also must admit that for me, there were things occurring that made me go "WHOA!! STOP THE PRESSES!! WHAT JUST HAPPENED??!!"

Office Intrigue is extremely well written, and as mentioned above, it is PANTS ON FIRE HOT, as only a book written by Nicole Edwards could be!! I will admit that even for a Nicole Edwards book there was a whole lot of sexy times going on in this book!! A whole lot and at times the sexy times sort of took away from the story line!! The characters, and there are plenty, are extremely complex and well-developed, although I must admit that Langston, one of the bosses, has truly gotten on my nerves now and in the beginning he was my favorite. Hopefully things will reverse in the second book!! However, it is the characters and their stories that keeps the book flowing and provides the variety and intrigue in the book. And I must say thank goodness both books were released on the same day, because I need to find out how this story ends, truly ends.

I received a copy of this book to review.

Office Intrigue is the first book in Nicole Edwards Office Intrigue Duet. You do not however have to wait to read the second book as she is releasing them on the same day. YAY!!! Trust me you will be very thankful for that.

If you get up every morning, spend close to an hour or more getting ready, pick out the perfect outfit, makes sure your makeup is suitable, then style your hair just so? Do you slip your feet into your favorite pair of heel, lock your modest one-bedroom apartment, climb into your practical car? Do you drive twenty minutes to downtown, find a spot in the company parking garage. If you do then we are very much alike. However, I think our stories will differ significantly once you get to your office and I get to mine.

It's even feasible to think that you are a secretary for a multi-billion-dollar PR firm. You could even have four bosses like I do. Four mouth watering male bosses even. But, like I said at that point our stories will likely be drastically different. In order for you to understand why, I will have to start from the beginning.

Oh wow ..... you need to buckle up and enjoy this ride. From the moment you pick up this book till the moment you read the last words Nicole Edwards will have you hooked on a world where one secretary and four bosses equals one submissive for four Doms. I loved this story. Luci was looking for a job and her friend recommended her for the secretary position for a PR firm. What Luci doesn't expect is to work for four different bosses all of whom want her. This is there thing. They want a secretary and they also want to have her as their submissive. Luci isn't exactly sure she is a submissive and this is her journey to finding out who she is and what she really wants. I loved that they story is told like Luci is sitting with you in a cafe with a cup of coffee just telling about her four bosses Ben, Justin, Landon and Langston. And yest Landon and Langston are twins. They all adore Luci and she is beginning to find that she is having trouble leaving her feelings out of everything. She is actually falling in love with two of these men but they have mad it clear that they just want a submissive to play with in the office and nothing more. However, a girl like Luci just can not not follow her heart.

I am so excited to get to dive into the second book. Nobody does menage books like Nicole Edwards. You do not want to miss this series. this will go down and my favorite duet of 2017

OMG OMG OMG, these books are HOT!!! I couldn’t stop reading, which is nothing new for me with a Nicole Edward book but this book was just so much different but so good.
Book 1 starts off with Luci applying for and actually getting a job for a well-known PR firm that is run by four men, four very hot/gorgeous guys (Langston, Landon- who are twins; Justin and Ben). The actual job that she applied for is that of a Secretary which she believes is just a glorified Receptionist but this job turns into so much more than she bargained for. This book involves Luci being introduced the world of BDSM, something that she was not very familiar with but as time progresses it becomes a world that she fits into vey comfortably as Luci is a submissive. During this book Luci is shared by all four of her bosses until something changes. It is quickly realize that Luci has a deep connection to Langston and Landon even though she is drawn to Justin and Ben. There are also secondary characters such as Jordan (he is the receptionist at the PR firm) who quickly becomes Luci’s friend, there is Kristen the friend that actually recommended the job to Luci and then Luci’s parents. All with back stories that leave you as the reader asking a lot of questions. The mastery in this book is that while there are numerous questions the story is still going and leave you as the reader clamoring for more. This book contains heavy BDSM and if you want to read this book you will need to have an open mind. A lot of things/actions and scenes depicted in this book requires that you have no preconceive judgment for you to enjoy the scene. I found that while I had no [problems reading BDSM previously some of the scenes caused me to pause. It was not until I totally just read the story as a story and not to look for the normal behavior that I found enjoyment of the scenes. It was then that I realized just how AWESOME these scenes really are. Book 1 ends and thank goodness book 2 was ready because as soon as book 1 ended I needed to start reading book 2.
This book is a great read, if this is your first time reading a BDSM this is a great book to sink into, there is enough of a story to keep you engage and the information is exceptional. As with all Nicole Edwards books this one is great. Nicole great and magnificent job on this book. Hoping Book2 is just as great… Thank you for always giving me a story that I can look forward too because I know you never disappoint.

Office Intrigue by the incredible talented and outstanding author Nicole Edwards is the first book in the Office Intrigue Duet.
With this book she blew me away !!!
" This is the first part of a duet - the 2nd book is being published on the same day. This book is not for the faint of heart. It contains explicit sexual content, including, but not limited to BDSM, swapping, sharing, voyeurism, exhibitionism, m/f/m, m/m, and m/m/f encounters. " -the author. Please take this warning serious.- the reviewer.
Meet Luciana Wagner, she´s a 24 year old single woman, a bit a loner on her way to a job interview at a PR firm.
Her new bosses are nothing like expected. They´re more, much, much more.
I started reading Office Intrigue and was captivated from the beginning. I read this full-length novel in one sitting (who needs sleep), I couldn´t put it down. I had to know what happens to the characters.
This story has it all—tension, angst, suspense and heartbreak. I've smiled, laughed, cried and was angry at some point. It is not often I feel so connected to the characters, but Nicole Edwards has accomplished just that. The writing is brilliant, I love the story, the characters and the words. I could feel the characters emotions in the words.
I highly recommend Office Intrigue and can´t wait to read the next book in the duet, Intrigued out of the Office.
I give 5 stars. Thank you, Nicole Edwards !!

I've been a fan of author Nicole Edwards for a long time now, so reading this book was a given for me. I expected to be drawn into a world that I'd most likely never taste in real life, but HOT DAYUM this book surpassed any and all of my already high expectations.
As with any first book in a Duet, we are introduced to the characters. Our heroine is a beautifully sweet and innocent woman.
Our hero, or heroes in this case are four gorgeous, successful and completely alpha.

Meet Benjamin Snowden, Justin Parker, Landon Moore and Langston Moore. These four are partners in a highly prestigious PR firm; and they are in need......of a secretary. But not just anyone will do. They need someone that can handle....them...all of them.
So when Luciana Wagner arrives to interview for the job, she draws them in....they know....she's the one.

The one for what you ask.
I want to tell you. But believe me, I do.

But reading it....is....it's...panty melting!

P.S. Heed the warnings. If the world of BDSM and sharing is too much for you, than this book is not for you.

Luci has just lost her last job and her friend gets her an interview at a PR company. And that’s where Luci’s life takes an unexpected turn when she meets her four new potential bosses. It seems the four men have been looking for a submissive in the workplace that they can share. And lonely Luci is up for the challenge. But when one Dom starts sending mixed signals and becoming a bit more territorial, will this sharing arrangement survive? Or will Luci need to leave the best job she’s ever had?

“I was starting to think that my bosses weren’t merely testing me but they were teaching me lessons along the way. Not only how to please them but also things like patience, routine, and even spontaneity. Sort of a contraction, but still.

That or they simply enjoyed pushing my limits and torturing me in the most sensuous ways.”

What begins as fun in the office for single girl Luci leads her into the world of BDSM arrangements. Four gorgeous bosses to submit to and receive pleasure from. I loved the concept of sharing between the four partners but when Langston started waffling over whether he wanted more with Luci...I was frustrated over the mixed signals he was sending. As far as sexy scenes in this story...you will not be disappointed. Luci definitely can handle work right along with her pleasure. I hurt for Luci's loneliness outside of this arrangement and hope in the next book we see how her Doms are going to handle their sub's needs going forward.

OMG…if you love a hot, sexy story with a side of BDSM thrown at you...this is the duet for you. I had a hard time putting this book down. I can’t wait to see where these gentleman take Luci’s lessons next!

There are so many books that I love from this author but this one missed the mark for me. I was really intrigued with this story once I heard about it, so I knew I wanted to read it. One thing we can always expect from this author is a hot book and this one is a hot, hot book! But with that being said, there was too much sex in my opinion. The thing that didnt make it boring was how many players were in the game. That made for variety so that did keep it interesting but again there was just a lot. This book goes into the BDSM lifestyle. I'm not opposed to reading that but at the same time its not something I gravitate towards. It wasn't something that kept me interested. Overall, the story was well written, I like the characters and I want to know if something more is going to come from the story so I will continue on to book two.

3.5 stars.....Let me start by saying I LOVE Nicole Edwards. I have read all her books and her series are a constant repeat read for me. That being said, I am not sure how I feel about this book yet. It was very hot and steamy but I feel like we are missing out on character development of the men. I really hope book two delves deeper into the men and their thoughts. I think I am going to wait to finish book 2 and then give an overall review on both books as one especially since she originally thought this might have been a single book. Maybe since I knew that going in, I feel like book one isn’t finished?

I have read many books from this author and loved each and every one. This book was quite a departure from her norm and I had a hard time getting into it. Parts of the story are not realistic, parts are hot as hell but when all is said and done, you keep reading because the characters are so likeable. It may not be my favorite from Nicole but I still enjoyed it.

I have read a majority of Nicole Edwards books and they usually fall within a rating of - love em, so so, and not that great. This one is leaning toward the not so great, sadly. Please don't hate lol, but the following is just my opinion on this book and will likely differ from those who loved it.

While I usually adore Nicole's ménage stories and usually feel she hits a home run, this one fell really short for me. It started out good and I was intrigued about what was going to happen. But it quickly became boring and I just couldn't find a connection with any of the characters or a gripping storyline, cuz it just wasn't there.

The four men initially were intriguing, however for four men who claimed to be dominant and heavily involved in dominant/submissive life style they were lacking in so many ways in their communication and explaining rules, expectations relationship building and the overall lifestyle to a naive, uneducated young newbie they decided to pursue for their enjoyment and pleasure. The way they treated Luci at times and lack of educating her seemed to go against what a Dom/sub relationship I have learned about in other books. Maybe that was Miss Edwards intention? But it didn't work for me.

Luci was interesting in the beginning but again I started to lose connection with her wishy washy and always pleasing ways, especially when she had no clue of the why she was doing things required by her bosses. She at times came across as quite naive and needy without more depth. And her lack of communication, being honest and not asking questions about the things she was expected to do or didn't understand was rather annoying. Nope she was all yes sir, everything is fine sir, even if it wasn't. She was a weak female character, which is my least favourite kind of character. Plain and simple she was a door mat and just a play toy that really became monotonous! I just couldn't get over some of the things the men required her to do that were outrageous for an inexperienced submissive, and she did all of it, without asking questions or stating her thoughts.

I started to lose interest in this overly long novel and started flipping page after page due to the lack of conversation, relationship building and Lucy just being a play toy over and over and over. And I mean over and over! Honestly, I just wanted this book to be over! I almost didn't finish several times. Now book two, do I or don't I? I just don't know if I can read another long novel of the same repetitive stuff before there is a HEA at the end of the book, cuz I just don't think I liked this one enough to care. Maybe I will wait a few days before deciding if I am going to be a "series quitter" which rarely ever happens for me.

Even tho this book wasn't for me, I will totally continue to read Nicole Edwards books and have been dying for her to continue series like Southern Boy Mafia, Sniper One, Devils Bend and the continuation of Ethan & Beau. So c'mon Miss Edwards let's get back to those goodies please and thanks!
