NATE JIGGUR

They call me Dangerous for a reason.

I’m brash, cocky and have a Texas-sized monster that makes all the ladies in the town wet for me.

I’m a fu@king animal, a predator on the field and off the field!

I wasn't looking for a prey but the moment I laid eyes on Amanda Shannon, that hot blonde in her tight blue jeans, I knew I wanted to make a touchdown.

She’s a quiet country girl, but I want to make her scream my name out.

But Ms. Amanda Shannon doesn’t respond to me like all the other girls I’ve been with. She doesn’t throw herself at me. She’s tempting me more than ever to come closer. I accept the challenge!

I think she’s forgetting who I am. I am Nate Jiggur and I score ALL THE TIME.

No matter what, I’m going to make her mine. I’m a man of my word and I’ve decided to rock her world with all I've got.

I’ll show her how I play the game….My Dangerous Play!

Dangerous Play is a standalone 30,000+ words novella with a guaranteed HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger!

Funny, Ribald and Raunchy

What a fun, unique voice. Nate is a quarterback who finds himself inexplicably attracted to a Real Woman - not one of the shallow, one-nighters he (honestly) treats her as, at least at first. The change is so gradual, so well-done, both for the hero andthe heroine, that his evolution from an obnoxious jock is believable, and he comes across as lovable. And as obnoxious as he is in the beginning, his internal monologue shows he’s more than even he thinks he is.

Very funny, this is going in my favorite’s folder on my Kindle.

Romi did a good job with this one. It was indeed enjoyable from the beginning to the end. Nate is one of those people that you love to hate. He is all man and he knows it. But all it takes is a simple everyday girl to bring him to his knees. Amanda is that girl. But little does she know it is not going to be easy for either one of them. I liked this book very much. I loved how Amanda brought Nate down a few pegs every time she got the chance. Amanda is quite the girl to deal with Nate knowing the kind of man that he is. But them two together are yummy. I absolutely loved the character chemistry between them two. Very well written.

This is the story about Nate, a quarterback who thinks he is a god and Amanda, a young woman who works in her family's music shop. Nate is known as an arrogant playboy and often says he is above everyone when interviewed. Amanda doesn't date and doesn't want to date, she is happy being alone and working restoring guitars. When Amanda wins tickets to the football game, she takes her friend and while waiting for him, she meets Nate. Nate asks her to leave the game with him and go to dinner, but Amanda refuses. Amanda knows Nate's reputation and isn't interested at all in him. The next day Nate shows up at her family's store and asks her out again, which she tells him no. Nate can't forget Amanda and continues to ask her out. Amanda wants him to leave her alone, but Nate refuses and even offers to buy her father's store. Amanda thinks if she sleeps with Nate he will leave her alone and she will get rid of him, only Nate doesn't understand what he did to make her reject him. Amanda has been hurt in the past and she doesn't want to trust anyone again and risk being hurt again, even if she begins to like the real Nate. At first i really didn't like Nate, i felt he was too arrogant, but as i read more it became clear it was mostly an act. I think he really felt something for Amanda and he was scared. Amanda could see the real Nate and it scared her. Good one.

Nate Jiggur has an ego the size of Texas. He knows it, and he proudly capitalizes on it. He’s obnoxious, over the top, and totally not the kind of guy that could capture or hold my attention. Quiet and damaged Amanda felt the same way about him, understandably. But what she didn’t have the benefit of knowing was the running inner monologue of the publicly brash Nate Jiggur. Since readers are able to tap into this sometimes outrageous and often intriguing internal monologue, we soon realize that the public persona bears little resemblance to the private man buried deep within.

Nate may have fallen for Amanda in a big way, but he’s definitely got his work cut out for him. This is no simple romance, and she’s just not “falling for it,” (so to speak). Even with some pretty impressive chemistry finally working on Nate’s side, this love story is an uphill battle.

This crazy, sometimes maddening, and definitely fun romance can be shared with your co-workers. It’s got some amazing steam heat going on once Nate actually gets into a realistic groove and manages to woo the beautiful Amanda. There’s also a bit of adult language going on at times as well. But if you can hang in there through Nate’s annoying ego-trips to discover the real man underneath, you’ll find a great romance and a wonderful read.

She doesn’t want anything to do with him. He tries everything in his power to attract her attention, but he does it all WRONG! Dangerous Play is the story of Nate Jiggur, an NFL football quarterback who is brilliant on the field and a player in real life. Hooking up is a game where he excels. He works harder to score with the women who tell him NO, because he feels the need to win. Then he meets Amanda. She isn't interested in hooking up with Nate, even when he gives it his best shot. He has never been turned down and doesn't handle the rejection well. Then Amanda's father approaches Nate about a business deal and Nate makes him an offer that reveals a soft side he keeps hidden. When Amanda discovers his soft side, she is willing to give Nate a chance to show her who he really is.
This is a steamy romance with open bedroom door scenes and is for adult readers. The author has created characters with depths and flaws. This reader appreciated the effort she made to bring them to life. 5 stars!

Nate is a totally obnoxious jock he is a quarterback who believes his own publicity He treats woman like disposable commodities, but is he all that he seems When he meets Amanda a women that is a totally different model to the air heads that he usually dates it causes him to look at his lifestyle (the internal monologues he has had me in stitches) Will this everyday normal woman tame this bad sports boy You need to read to see. Once again Romi has written wonderful characters you have the obnoxious boy toy that we love to hate until he learns to grow and become the man that he is meant to be and the totally normal woman that tames him.

I was given a copy of this book but this is true and honest review

Nate Jiggur is proud of the fact that he “scores” all the time. So when Amanda Shannon breaks the pattern and doesn’t throw herself at him, she becomes the challenge he must tackle and win. But the woman is not the shallow type he is used to and has been through rough times of her own. As he pursues her, a gradual change of attitude occurs and she brings out the best in him.

This is a satisfying story that takes the reader through the realization that the very convincing obnoxious ego-maniac we see at the start is not really the man deep inside. The author is able to shift the reader’s feelings toward him as we watch a sweet love story happen that changes his life, matures him, and shows him what really matters. Will Amanda see the change and open her heart as well?

A dangerous book you'll want to read again and again

What's dangerous about this book is that you'll want to read it again and again, never wanting to put it down. Amanda, a guitar repair expert, runs into Nate, star quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, when leaving the game early. As the story progresses egos are knocked down, pasts come into the mix and they both must decide who they want to be. Romi Hart has delivered a touchdown with this sports themed contemporary romance. Her alpha male characters know how to grow and her strong females know when to let go, creating entertaining and engaging steamy reads for the 18+ crowd.

A narcissistic over the top player, Nate thinks he has it all and can score in everything in life until he meets Amanda. Amanda isn’t charmed by the star quarterback and when she says no he becomes a fixture everywhere she goes. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, that is after the numerous hilarious moments between them. Romi wrote a phenomenal book with characters that have more depth than first appear.

A really interesting romance. 💕❤️️🔥💕

I wasn't sure I was going to get into this one about Nate and Amanda, simply because Nate is an egotistical, narcissistic jackass. Amanda has been broken and sees Nate for what he his... even though she feels something for him. Just when you think it's hopeless, you begin to see Nate change and grow once he realizes the world doesn't revolve around him. 💓

It's full of passion, pain, and growth. 💞💖💞

This is book one in the Dangerous series and it features Nate and Amanda. I struggled with all but the last chapter in this book. His attitude, the way he talked, his behavior, everything about him was a HUGE turn off. The last chapter was fantastic but unfortunately that’s not enough to carry the entire book. I understand the cocky, narcissistic attitude in these men that are at the top of their game, personally and professionally but this was taken to a more than extreme level. Some might like this type of leading man but it’s just not for me.

not a fan

The romantic ending did NOT make up for this book being HORRIBLE. The hero was an IDIOT with no endearing qualities and he kept getting worse instead of better. Then abruptly he stops being an IDIOT...completely unrealistic let's not even begin to discuss the sex scene j. the locker room. Can't even say why I kept reading this train wreck of a story. Didn't even give the second story a glance

A well written fun and light hearted sports themed contemporary romance.  It had a enjoyable smooth flowing storyline with good supporting characters in this entertaining and engaging steamy read.  Amanda meets Nate, star quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, when leaving the game early. They are complete opposite, yet they are great together. Nate and Amanda's journey had me captivated from the beginning with plenty hot sexy scenes.

This is the first book in a new series from this talented author, and what an introduction it is. Nate is the cocky star quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, and Amanda is a sweet guitar repair expert, and the chemistry between these two is intense. This is a well written story, which is humorous, entertaining, and a steamy read, all which had me hooked and intrigued throughout. I look forward to reading more in this awesome series, and recommend for all readers.

I voluntarily read this arc to give an honest review. Nate was such a braggart. He was ridiculously narcissistic! I didn’t blame Amanda for not wanting anything to do with him! But her actions were confusing as well. Her idea of giving herself to him in the locker room cheapened her to me! Her brother’s explanation of her being hurt by an ex didn’t explain the locker room behavior!

An really enjoyable book full of laughs, banter, lust, passion & love. Amanda is a beautiful woman who just wants to hide in the world but Mate is z big time footba player who has other ideas. He's an alpha male, who knows what, who and has a big opinion of himself. Amanda & Nate chip away at each others insecutites and we may just see something intersting happen! This book is a fabulous read.

Nate is a star quarterback and has women falling at his feet. When he meets Amanda, she is unimpressed and that makes him want her all the more. Amanda doesn’t want to get her heart broken again so she stays away be what will happen when sparks fly between her and Nate? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and great chemistry. I liked it.

Excellent athlete, football, romance between two opposites. The blurb gives a hint of what to expect but when you have a cocky player that thinks he’s gods gift to women how the mighty can fall. It has well developed and entertaining characters. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading future books by Ms. Hart. This book is part of the set: Dangerous: a Contemporary Box set.

The same old badboy romance. It's okay as a story goes but there's nothing fresh, exciting or new about it. The main character is still arrogant as ever and thinks he's god's gift to women. I get that he has to be a bad boy but this is played on a little too much for my liking.

Just okay

I liked the characters and thought that Amanda and Nate had great chemistry. The story line was lacking in substance. Her reasons for rejecting him seemed valid but we're unsubstantiated after a while.
