“Because I'm not sure if even a lifetime will be enough time for me to show you how much I love you. You're the best thing that ever happened me to me, or ever will, for that matter. You're my everything, babe. And I love you.”

This is a story about an unconventional couple who break all the alpha and omega rules.

Alpha bear Liam is not your average alpha. He runs the Mills Creek B&B, a small inn that caters to shifters. His specialties include cooking and managing his business with an iron thumb. Liam is a lover, not a fighter and would love to find his fated-mate.

Omega wolf Frankie the Fingers is a former military intelligence operative, and now runs his own business doing...well...hacking. Finally able to lead Alpha Mikael to Yvonne, the rogue bear that is trying to usurp his position, Frankie rushes to get the information to the den. Driving through the rainy night, he almost runs into his fated-mate. Literally.

With no wifi and cell reception, a possible traitor in the den, Liam's inability to slow down at the B&B and Frankie's compulsive need to trace the rogue, how can they each unwind enough to take a mate?

This is the fourth book of the Northern Pines Den series. This book is 30k and guaranteed to have an HEA. It's advised to read the series in order for maximum appreciation. 18+ readers only please! And yes, this book contains M/PREG, knotting, adults adulting in sexy naughty ways, and way more than the occasional use of potty mouth language! Caution: contains violent scenes and mentions of death as the pack is at war.

I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!

I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.

As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.

I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.

I look forward to interacting with everyone here!

Not to much to say on this story. Liam and Frankie are fated mates and are total opposites. Alpha with Omega tendencies and Omega with Alpha tendencies. Frankie is ex military and also a hacker, Liam is an Alpha who runs a B & B in town away from the Den.

The war is still going on and Frankie's hacker skills are needed to find and stop Yvonne. Yvonne was captured by Jules and some others Alphas that used magical restraining bracelets that have been pasted down from Omega to Omega in Frankie's family. That part of the story I thought was unique to Susi Hawks herself.

Yvonne escapes with the help of Tommy but Frankie is on their trail.

I really hate it when an author shows disrespect for her readers. One recurring problem with many of Ms. Hawke's books is their lack of editing. It was really obvious in this one that there had not been an editor used. The main problem was many, many instances of missing words. I found myself having to read sentences over in plenty of places for this reason. Even worse was the point where Liam refers to his "inner wolf" being upset over something when he is the bear shifter in the relationship. It's really unfortunate because this was a great book otherwise. It was the first in either of her series to show a sort of role reversal for the MCs where the omega is the badass, buff, ex-military man and the alpha is a nurturing sort who loves to cook. Frankie was an interesting character with some fascinating backstory completely apart from his "gray hat" hacking history. Liam was a really bland character, however. The sex was so-so, nothing really particularly hot. I did enjoy getting to see some of kickass Jules from the last book! The war with Yvonne is getting a little old to me though. The ending shows some different possibilities for the next in the series. I'm torn whether to continue reading the series. If I wasn't reading on KU I would have stopped already. As it is, I think that the source of the rapid output of the series is the lack of time spent on editing and feel that it shows a lack of care for quality and the readers.

Alpha’s Wolf, is my favorite of the series. These two unique characters don’t fall into the typical stereotypes - a strong, self assured omega who’s not a virgin, and a nurturing alpha who loves to care for others. They make a wonderful pair and watching them fall in love is so much fun.

an audiobook copy of Alpha's Wolf was provided to me for the purpose of my review

I'm ready for the next:)

Ooh! It's getting good and I just want to keep reading and find out what happens next. I liked Frankie and Liam and of course we got to revisit with Jules and his mates in the attempted capture of Yvonne. It's interesting that we start to find out some omegas have magic due to being descended from the first omega and I hope that the author will explore more down this path. A good exciting addition to the series.

When things go right.

Frankie comes to town to help with the chase for Yvonne. He nearly runs over his mate Liam. Things go right and wrong from there. This one has ups and downs and curves all over. I loved every page!

3,5 *

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey’s books)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

Wonderful series well worth reading

I'm pretty sure I've read all of Susi Hawke's books at this point. They are without exception short but very well written. Since I get her newsletter I knew going in this book would end with a twist. But REALLY this could head in sooo many directions not to mention isn't it a little late?? I'm not going to put any spoilers out there but if you've read the previous book I the series you'll see where this is coming from. I truly hope that the next in the series is just around the corner... is tomorrow too soon? ;-) If the story line here intrigues you do yourself a favor and go back to the start the Northern Lodge series is a good place to start. No its not necessary to go back that far but soo worth it. The series builds on itself fairly organically so it doesn't become too repetitive. Well worth a read.
I'm a KU reader, hense no "verified purchase".

In previous books in both these series (NLP & NPD) by Susi Hawke, she makes a point of showing an Alpha or Omega that has something to overcome or feel they need to prove. They are often seen as odd, different, or not typical for their designation. It is so great to see how the fated mate sees the true self and smell of his perfect mate.

In this book the unusual one is an Omega Wolf who's large size, computer savvy, military experience, and love of comic superheroes makes him stand out though he prefers to lie low. He is loved, accepted, and appreciated by his non-traditional Alpha. These two opposites really are perfect for each other. They balance each other even during dangerous situations.

I'm giving this book 3.5 stars. I had a hard time with this book in the series. I grew to like the couple in this book, especially Frankie as he is awesome and we get a cool plot twist that sets up the coming series featuring the children from these first two series. We had only heard of Frankie in brief passing, just a throw away comment in one of the previous books and had never heard or met Liam, so I went in not knowing any of these characters which is odd for this author. We usually meet at least one of the future couples as a side character in previous books. I expect learning knew people in the first book of a series, but not in the middle as a main couple. Still a good book and will read more of the series.

Loved it

Frankie and Liam were adorable and sweet. It was awesome how neither one of them matched the normal alpha/omega stereotypes completely and that it made them match each other perfectly. They were super sweet and the geek 🤓 was strong with them. They made laugh several times with their conversations. Sweet, cute, a little action, perfectly matched opposites, sexy times and a even a mini cliff hanger. I love this series and this was a great addition. Can’t wait for the next.

Frankie & Liam

This book was a little too short but I got all that I needed in it. The laughs and spicy times worth it.

Character breakdown;

Liam: I adored this alpha bear, like I’ve mention before I am a sucker for cuddly alpha bears. And this one was no exception.

Frankie: I won’t lie I was kinda thrown when I found the different aspect of this shifter and what he was made of. But it’s an interesting twist of events!

If you like opposite roles and a quick read? This is the book for you!

Alpha bear Liam and Omega wolf Frankie are like yin and yang. Liam runs and Bed and Breakfast while Frankie is a hacker on the run. Yet somehow they make it work, while also dealing with the Rogue War that’s raging around them. This story was easy to read and went by fast. There was some fluff and a lot of action.

Overall Rating: 3.25 Stars. The plot went by fast, the writing was decent, and the sex was hot.

Loved this story!

Frankie is just magnificent! Liam is the guy you always wanted but never found.

I was spellbound from the start of this book. Frankie is such a mystery, yet Liam is just the alpha to understand and respect his ways. They build a relationship with time and patients.

Not Your Typical Alpha/Omega

I just love this series, it just keeps getting better and better. Frankie's and Liam's Alpha/Omega role switch is cute, The Omega is a big Bad Wolf, while his Alpha Bear is a homemaker...but wait yeah he puts a stop at decorating....lol And then you add mystical powers.

This is the 4th book in the Northern Pines Den. We get little more answer about why the crazy Alpha is going after the bears. We meet Frankie that is not your average Omega that will keep you laughing with his wit. The characters flow together so well that they make a perfect fit to one another. Cant wait for the next book and see if they can locate the crazy Alpha and the traitor.

Noooooo!!!!

How could you?? I love this series and I really really love how they are all intertwined! Am I the only one worried about Dylan. Me. Thing sounds like she could be related to Me. Yvonne and don't get me started on her! Haha! I love that Liam and Frankie are opposite of what you think an Alpha and omega should be. Can't wait for the next book!

Not enough story

While I’ve enjoyed these stories they end a little too quickly. I appreciate the HEA for each of the series, it’s all a little rushed. The premise is great, but too quick to the end, it needs a little more fleshing out.
That being said I’ll buy the next in the series and hope for a more involved storyline.

Good story

As much as I like this author and this continuing story, this book lacked the editorial excellence of her work. The characters are well developed. There's also some intriguing information on the shifter world. Looking forward to know what happens to Yvonne and the cliffhanger of Hector.

Another good series from Miss Hawke.

I have read the Blood Legacy and the Legacy Warriors series and now I this series is giving me the background stories of their beginnings. This a good series and I wish that I had read it first. But no complaints, better late than never. I love these novels. Susi Hawks keep this up cuz I am going to be a fan for life.

Another great add to the series. Liam and Frankie add a new element to the couples. I love me a nerd and Frankie pushes all of those buttons. With his book we get a lot of questions, some revealed and some are clues for the future I can't wait to know about. Love all the new pieces that are falling into place and how even though this is a spin-off feels like it's own. Can't wait for the next.

Interesting twist to the series so far. The introduction of "original" shifter lines and special powers adds some fun possibilities. The rogue war is starting to wear on me. This was a really good continuation of the series but definitely can't be read as a stand alone. A solid 4 stars!

I totally read these out of order. I actually found the Legacy series first. It didn't dawn on me until the twins were named in this book that they were the grown twins from the first book of the Legacies. 🤦‍♀️ Three generations of characters starting here. Then with Legacies with these children grown. Then on to the Legacies children grown.

Love an omega.

I liked this story because it was so different from other Susi Hawke stories. An omega who wasn't shy and petite, but strong and able to take on the world. I would recommend this book to anyone.

I loved that the Alpha had more of Omega tendencies & the Omega had more Alpha tendencies. My only real bitch was, you didn't leave a guard on her?? Seriously?? Her books still need a good editor. I do love this series.

I've enjoyed just about everything about this series, but this book really stood out. The fact that the typical alpha and omega behaviours are reversed means that there are some great scenes. Liam and Frankie are pretty cute together.
