Tropical Sunsets in Delhian Nights by Kimelene Carr was just the cup of emotional tea I was looking for. This collection of poems varied in the emotions it evoked, but it was always beautiful. Carr tells an incredible tale of love and loss and longing and I look forward to more from this talented poet!

Beautiful lines in dedication.

My most loved lines were in Peut etre - But some wishes are never to be. Some dreams are never to see: Fruition but yield to reality's commission.

Teleportation- I will take your pain as my own and let the tears fall from my eyes!

I was surprised to see Tamil and Hindi lines too. I loved the description of India in Uttarakhand.

The ending lines were so sweet and meaningful..

“The numbered sand grains will be passed back and forth, every time
with a new memory for us to hold. These grains will not be lost in time, for
the time will be our witness which will be recalled till the eternity loses its
own course.”- Mon Beau Ami Delhian

I enjoyed this treasure of beautiful poems.

Tropical sunsets in Delhian Nights is a beautiful, soulful, emotive collection of poems. To me, these poems embody two auras of different backgrounds that intertwine with each other like peaches and cream. Both body and soul is felt in each of these poems. My favourites thus far are Delhian Friend, Undying Memory, Peut être and A Walk Through Time. I love Carr’s poetic pieces and her ability to relay the emotions of others so naturally as well, because I know that many of us can relate to these poems. It’s definitely a favourite of mine.
Some of the lines which resonate with me is adapted from her poem, ‘Peut être’, “But some wishes are never meant to be... Some dreams are never to see:
Fruition
But yield to reality’s commission:
Do not seek love or satisfy your heart
Move away from happiness’ path
Look away from dreams so as not to see,
Nothing is as ever as we want it to be...”
This is real.

Absolutely love this poetry collection. Even though I'm a single woman, I really appreciate these sensual and mystical poems that will resonate with anyone. Whether your single, attached or married.
BTW, my favorite was Disillusioned.
