EVIE

Boy meets girl, they spend a decade at each other’s throats, seething with hatred until fate lands them wasted together in an airport hotel, waking naked and hungover to find they’d done the unthinkable.

Tale as old as time, right?

Dash and I both thought that’d be the happy ending of our dysfunctional fairy tale, but months of bad decisions have somehow led us to where we are now-crazy in love, despite how hard we fought it.

I guess we’d be alright if we hadn’t forgotten one minor detail: We still had to tell my insanely overprotective brother and Dash’s best friend, Mason, the truth about us.

We thought the feelings we had for each other would fade out as quickly as the alcohol, that we could fight fate.

We were wrong.

DASH

Secrets, lies, deception… we should have known from the jump we weren’t smart enough to pull any of it off.
I’m not sure what me and Evie were thinking. Hell, we were so blindsided by all of this, I think it’s safe to say we weren’t thinking at all.

If we had been, we would have moved on before everything went to hell. I should have turned around and ran before I fell for her wicked vagina voodoo, but I didn’t.

What started as the most awkward walk of shame in history with my nemesis shifted into something neither of us saw coming.

We were powerless… hooked… it came for us, slamming into us like a cinder block.

By the time we looked up and saw what was happening, it was too late.

We were already sprung.

I absolutely love Evie and Dash. Book 2 in this series continues there story and makes you love them more. A secret has surrounded there relationship for months and it needs to be revealed before Evie’s brother and Dash’s best friend finds out. It won’t be easy but they need to tell Mason. But will it backfire and will Evie give up her dreams or follow her heart? Can Dash do a actual relationship? This a story of life’s journeys and finding yourself and fighting for what you believe in. Love the funny aspects in this book as well

Absolutely adored Sprung!!!! It’s the continuation of Evie and Dash’s love story!! Dash and Evie spent years at each other’s throat, but somewhere along the way they became more and fell in love. It should be an easy road, right? Not so much…Evie is Dash’s best friend, Mason’s, sister. He’s EXTREMELY overprotective of Evie. No one is good enough for her, especially not Dash. Mason loves Dash like a brother, but Evie has always been off limits to Dash. So, the lovebirds have to find a way to tell Mason about their relationship and hope their friendship survives.

A great deal of the book deals with the couple trying to find a way to tell Mason. Without spoiling anything, it’s pretty explosive. While they are managing that, Benson delves deeper into the personalities of Evie and Dash and their newfound relationship. I thought I loved Evie in the first book, but I loved her even more in this one. This woman is fierce, but Benson showed me her vulnerable side. I didn’t realize her insecurities concerning Dash. I can understand why because of his past with women…the man has never had a relationship with women. Evie is the first, and her attempt to feel confident in Dash just made her more human and likeable to me.

And Dash, oh Dash. What woman wouldn’t fall for this man…he exudes sex, and his charm makes him irresistible. I LOVED watching him fall even deeper in love with Evie. The two are perfectly matched. He sees the uniqueness and beauty in Evie.

“There’s somethin’ inside you that other people? The don’t have it. Even before I loved you, I could see that…” ~Dash

He becomes Evie’s biggest supporter in her decisions concerning her future. In the process, Dash’s embraces his softer side. He is an adrenaline junkie. He is always trying to get Evie to let go of some of her control. Dash doesn’t realize that Evie is helping him let go of his fear of falling in love. As always with our beloved Kate Benson, this isn’t the end of the story. It looks like this is just the beginning. As always, Kate’s stories pack an emotional punch, and this one is even better because her wicked sense of humor comes through in each page. I will definitely be waiting for the next one in the series!

Yay!!!! Dash and Evie are back in Sprung, book 2 of the Frenemy Series.

Once again Kate Benson has out done herself with this second instalment of Dash and Evie's story. It will have you in tears of laughter as you take in their witty back and forth banter their sizzling sexual chemistry and watch them grow as a couple they really start to open up to each other.

If you love a great rom-com then this is definitely the book for you but please be sure to read book one Frigid first.

Oh my gosh. Kate has done it again. Evie and Dash what can I say? This is the 2nd book in the Frenemy series. Sprung will have you laughing til you cry. The love these characters have for each other will leave you wanting more. Kate is an amazing writer who continues to prove it with each and every book she writes. She is talented and knows how to bring her characters to life even if it end in a cliffhanger cuz after all she is the queen of cliffies! Amazing job babe!

I'm so glad to have Dash and Evie back. I just love these characters. They have you laughing one minute and serious the next. Their chemistry is electric and they really do belong together. We get to see how Evies brother takes the news of her dating his best friend and how their relationship withstands to them living away from each other.

Kate benson has done another fantastic job writing sprung I always look forward to reading her work and I'm never disappointed. I would highly recommend this series the quick witted, sassy characters will have you entertained throughout.

What a rollercoaster book 2 was and what a cliff hanger at the end. Glad I don't have to wait for book 3, what's next does she get it is or isn't she that is the question.

I fell in love with this series from the beginning. Dash and Evie were completely captivating in Frigid, and now in Sprung I have fallen even more in love with their story. Kate has managed to add a few twists and turns and another layer of complexity to this story that it makes for a very exciting read.

I love that we pick right back up where we left off in Frigid, with only a small-time jump, and that we get to continue their story together. These once enemies, are now deeply in love and you can really feel a huge difference in Dash as well from the first book to how he’s progressed with Evie. He truly loves this girl and you can just feel their connection throughout. There aren’t many things I can say without spoiling plot points, other than the obvious plot point of them telling Mason about them.

The only thing about this book I wasn’t over-the-moon with, was the amount of time spent on these two stressing out about what will happen when Mason, Evie’s brother, finds out about their relationship. I get it being a HUGE part of their life and they are worried about his reaction, but since it does drag out as long as it does just hindered Kate from getting to the good stuff. But once the good stuff started, let me tell you, FLAMING HOT!!!

This being the 2nd book in the series, I was pleasantly surprised to find out there would be a 3rd book. Of course, Kate finishes this book with a cliffhanger. A HUGE one! But her writing is just superb and this continuation of their story was a quick and fun read.

Sprung is the second book in The Frenemy Series, so it stands to reason that YOU MUST READ Frigid (Book 1) FIRST! Just had to get that out of the way. Dash & Evie have been seeing each other secretly for months now trying to not fall in love, but losing that battle. But that's not even the worst part of it, they haven't let Mason, his best friend & her overprotective brother, in on the secret yet. Of course, they were sure that it was just a friends with benefits situation, but now it's so much bigger, and it's only a matter of time before he finds out since they are sprung. That's all I'm giving away with this one. Sprung is just as entertaining as Frigid was, but there was more of emotional angst mixed in to me, as I get upset a time or two with some decisions by different people. I know that sounds cryptic, but I don't want to give anything away so there you go. Evie & Dash's witty banter with sexy undertones are ever present with even more explosive sexy times that lit the sheets up. And of course, Dash had to make some more questionable decisions that made me want to junk punch him, no matter how much I loved him. Kate Benson really wrote a story about two flawed people that I totally relate to that could be my friend in real life, and I can't get enough. However, with the way it ended, I have to add her to my list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, hash tagging her FOREVERMORE #EVILWHORE! So the next book cannot come out quickly enough for me, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Sprung is the continuation of Dash and Evie’s story that began in Frigid. I have been impatiently waiting for this! I fell in love with Dash and Evie in Frigid and after reading Sprung I am even more hooked!
Sprung takes us deeper into their relationship as Evie is home for spring break, and trying to balance her still secret relationship with Dash with her post graduation plans. The relationship between them was very realistic, as was the dilemma of when to make their relationship public. I like the way it was presented, and even more how it played out. We got to see Evie grow and mature as she decides what to do with the rest of her life, and we also got more of Dash, and while he may not perfect, you’d be hard pressed to find a better, more loyal, stronger man! Dash is THE Man!
There is a cliffhanger, I hate cliffhangers, but I loved this book so much I don’t even care! It is one of those stories that makes it worth it! It’s not a cliff that leaves you in the middle of the current story, Sprung is a complete story with a small cliff to give you a taste of what’s to come next, and I’m so happy there is more to come! Dash and Evie is a story of love that should not be missed! You will be swept up immediately and held captive with every page! Definitely one you’ll want to have to read over and over!

Ahhh Some more of Dash and Evie!!! Like it seems like forever since I’ve read Frigid and feel in love with these two and wanted more and I finally got more!!! Although I am left wanting more so I’ll warn you it is a cliffhanger but isn’t that some of the thrill, waiting and having the intense build up of finding out what’s going to happen when that next book comes out.
This book we get some more of the craziness of Dash and Evie and how they are together. And how they work at trying to make a relationship work. Are they going to keep their secrets or tell. This book is filled with some hot and I mean HAWT sexy times!!! I needed a cold shower multiple times..lol jk but it felt like I needed one. I laughed so hard at some points because these to are so crazy it’s not even funny but they are so perfect!! But I also teared up at one time so it’s not all sunshine. And that ending, holy crap on a cracker!!! Way to just leave me suspended like that!! Please hurry with book two, not just because of the cliffy but I want more of Dash and Evie!! I highly recommend this book but you need to read Frigid first!

Evie King has found herself in between a rock and a hard place. She is reveling in her new relationship. Her secret relationship, that is. Trying to finish college, she is struggling to figure out what path to take after graduation.

Dash Hunter never thought she would be the one. Honestly, he never dreamed there would be "the one." He can't seem to get enough of her but his unease at their shared secret is weighing on him.

This is the second book in the series. I recommend reading the first book, Frigid, to gain a better understanding of these characters and their past.

I loved the witty banter and snarky comebacks between the two characters, so much I found myself laughing out loud several times. I adored Evie's character, being self-assured and equally un-centered. I loved Dash's honesty and approach to most of their problems but mostly his ferocity in defending her.

I would recommend this to a friend and I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment. I have read other stories by this author and love her work.

Secrets! Evie and Dash are keeping a big secret from her brother and Dash's best friend Mason. Her mom is in on it and supportive, it's just her overprotective brother that is the problem. I can sympathize with this couples struggle for different reasons. Dash is new to having a relationship at all, but he gets props for being a great boyfriend! Evie is under the gun of major life decisions and a new love and how to make them all work together. My heart raced with the excitement of their sneaking around and being caught! I enjoyed the development of their relationship push and pull combined with hot sexy times. Once the cat is out of the bag Dash becomes a super boyfriend! Evie's art final and the telling of it were spectacular! I would love to have a passion and gift like that!

I read the first book Frigid, but honestly it was a while ago and I don't remember it that well, my point is you don't need to have read it to completely enjoy this book. I'm looking forward to the next one! I think the alternating pov's in the next one will be very entertaining!

Already liked Dash and Evie in Frigid, but this book shows them in a different light, especially Dash. They have been together for a couple of months now and have yet to let Mason know. How do you tell your best friend you are with his sister? That is the question that keeps plaguing them and gives Evie a stomach ache when she tries to come up with a solution.
I loved the banter between Dash and Evie. They were so funny together and the names they have for each other just made me laugh constantly. And the episode with the cat, that was just too much!
I was a little put off by Mason's reaction when he does find out about their relationship, but loved the way Dash handled the confrontation toward the end.
Evie, she is such a strong person, and she's so spunky. That cliffhanger, though... I can't wait!!!

Sprung Dash and Evie have settled into their secretive relationship and Evie is quite happy to have no one but her mother knowing.Keeping the secret is proving harder to keep Mason out of the loop.Evies mom gives her an ultimatum tell your brother before I get bet or it will only get worse when he finds out. With the only option to come clean, they work out a plan. The plans fall through and they are left to wait again for the perfect moment. What they didn't see coming was being caught by Mason in a hot heated embrace. Dash decides to go after Mason and talk but what he gets is a black eye and Evie in tears. With Mason against the relationship and not willing to bend they must find away to make him see they are perfect for each other. This has a big cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Sprung is Book 2 in the series and you need to read book 1 first to fully get into it and understand it better. I wish I could give this book more then 5 stars. Dash and Evie are amazing together but the only problem is they are hiding their relationship. Dash and Mason ( Evie’s older brother ) are best friends and have been best friends since childhood. Dash is pretty much part of the family. However him and Evie never got along until one steamy night they shared.

Here they are months later and now know it’s time they tell Mason before he finds out some other way. Dash and Evie have no idea just how bad Mason will react but I’m sure he’s partially that way because of how he found out.

Such a great book. Evie reminds me of myself with her attitude and crazy antics. Loved LOVED BOOK 2

I love Dash and Evie. They had a love/hate relationship when the were kids. Dash is Mason best friend and Evie is Masons sister. There’s a best friend code that states you’d best friend will not date your sister. Dash and Evie broke that code and kept it a secret from Mason for months.

The interaction between Evie and Dash is off the charts funny and hot.

What will happen when Mason finds out? Will Dash and Mason continue to be best friends.

This story is a great read about Dash who has never had a long relationship and Evie who loves Dash for who he is. Beware the ending will make you want and I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Dash and Evie ave been having an intimate relationship for four months. What's so special about that that a book would be written? Well, Dash is best friends with Mason, whom he's known for so many years and Mason is Evie's brother. There lies the problem. Mason would kill Dash if he knew he was sleeping with his sister.

Loved the bantering between Dash and Evie, they actually sound a lot like my hubby and I. This story came across as a "real life" story, something I could relate to and wasn't too far fetched to believe in. The personality's of Dash and Evie was priceless, they kept me laughing!

This is the second book of the series and has all the characters from the first one but at least now they like each other sort of. Dash and Evie are still in hiding with their relationship because her brother Mason will kill Dash his best friend but Dash feels something for Evie different from others he has dated. This story is how they try to tell everyone about the relationship and how it works out. You can’t help but love Dash and Evie together and how they get along without all the lovey dovey stuff.

I loved Dash and Evie! They made me laugh so many times. Their angst was very real for them, as I can understand. Telling your brother about sleeping with his best friend can be pretty scary but all worked out well. I love their relationship and the way they are so real with each other. It’s not all just mush and oh I love you so much and ridiculously fake like so many other books. They are very real together and that made me love them even more.

I can’t wait for the next book, I’m so excited to see where they go next. A definite must read series!!!

I just wanna hang out with Evie and Dash . I love watching them grow as a couple. This is the 2nd book in the series and I feel like I have been waiting forever, this author did not disappoint, she had me laughing and grinning like a fool just reading about the banter between the couple. Reading this makes me want to reread Frigid all over again. Not surprising with this author it ends with a Cliffhanger, (ahhh) can't wait again for the next one. I happily read this ARC to share my thoughts on the story.

Full of humor, passion and an unexpected romance. Dash and Evie played so well off each other. Dash was terrific. His fear of a relationship and his constant snipes were priceless. The only thing better was that Evie knew him well enough to know his defense mechanism and that she didn’t get hurt by them but countered him with her snarky attitude. I was giggling throughout the book! The cliffhanger was expected, but was a great way to end this installment. Can’t wait to read the next book. Book gifted to me.

I so like where this one takes you with Dash and Evie. You are with them each part of the way of the growing relationship that is searing at times but also their characters are hilarious too. the things they say to each other is entertainment. Oh my though when they do hit the road block in the form of her brother, drama is in the mix. You sit up straight to see where this will end up and how. but the killer though is the ending but by then no matter this author has you hostage.

I LOVE Dash and Evie!! I was so happy to get my dose of them! Book one picks up a little after where book one leaves off. So if you haven’t read that, you better!
Webget to see another side of Dash and Evie this time, more so with Dash because of course he’s a typical grumpy man, but I just fell in love with him all over!!! Evie, I swear is my spirit soul sister, she sure does get herself in trouble with that mouth!

This series is AMAZING and I can’t wait for another dose of Dash ❤️

No good

Poorly written could not finish. The entire book is about the two main characters bickering at each other. I could not take it anymore with the constant “babe, and baby”. The dialogue is childish, and at times confusing. The characters are not well developed. The female character is annoying and childish. Waste of time trying to read this book.

This second book in the Frenemy series wasn't quite what I expected. Sprung has Dash and Evie figuring out the whole relationship thing. While their banter is amusing, it began to feel like that and sex was all they had. This pair was either insulting each other or getting naked, and sometimes both, which is fun for a shorter story, but it leaves little room for romance. The chemistry between Dash and Evie is there in spades, and their emotions came across quite well in Frigid, but seemed to be missing here. Mason acted more like a jealous ex than an over-protective brother and the whole family seems to be keeping secrets. I did like Dash and his big heart even while freaking out about commitment made him an endearing and fun character. This one does have a bigger cliffy than the first book, which I can only imagine will lead to more panic from Dash and hopefully will have Evie growing up a bit. For those that enjoy an amusing, lusty read, this one has plenty of that. The author is talented and the story has its moments, but I did expect a bit more romance from this second in the series.
