DakotaHe is the most overbearing, rude, insensitive, callous, uncivilized, arrogant class A jerk I have ever had the misfortune to come across. What man threatens to put a grown woman over his knees and spank her the first time he meets her? Yes, he did that. That green-eyed, hunk of steely muscles, and hot goodness. Did I just say hot goodness?I shouldn't have because I hate him. I mean, like really. And I can't believe I'm now being forced to work with him to win this million dollar prize.I need the money desperately, so I'll bite my tongue and get on with it. Even though the jerk oozes sex appeal I am going to take great delight in seeing the expression on his arrogant face when I collect the prize and walk out of here...alone.TrentShe is the most stubborn, contrary, infuriating, pain in the a** I have ever met. Someone should put her over their knees and spank her. Why am I thinking it should be me? Cancel that. I don't need a ball breaking brat in my life at the moment. Or ever.Though wiping that smug smile off her face is going to be fun. Sure, I'll work with her, but as soon as I win this money I'm out of here. There can be only one winner and that person is me!She does have very distracting curves though...very. Standalone romance with no cheating and HEA.

I truly enjoyed this book! It was a fun read of two people who get off on the wrong foot, but have a chemistry that others pick up on. As they both go into the competition as enemies they get teamed together and develop a relationship that they can't deny..who will be the last man standing? Read it and enjoy!

Wow river this is an epic book. I loved thus book do much. I laughed so much it was hilarious.
Trent bumps into the back of Dakota's car as they are both in there way to an audition for a reality game show.
They both hate each other. Dakota is mouthy and sassy. Trent is cocky and sure of himself. They both clash, the banter between them both is so funny.
They have to do dares to Win the money. The imagination that went into this book is fun, quirky and pure comedy.
A great book that is funny and sexy all in 1 .

Dakota and Trent

Quick unique read with some hot 🔥🔥🔥 scenes and good banter. Reality show where they are paired up as a team to try and win a million dollars. Dare Me is the show. 1st dare he ends up wearing nothing but her panties - ugh hot bulge. Another date is to talk loudly about sexual desires and then his dare is to suck her toe on the table at the restaurant. They both get turned on and from there they are at each other. 2nd to last dare is a fake proposal on stage at a rock concert- that seems all too real. Hea with him throwing the game so she can win to get her mother cancer treatments - predictable ending but sweet as hell anyway…

Dare Me by River Laurent is a great read. This is a well written and fun book. Dakota and Trent are a great couple and are very sexy together. These two take a instant dislike to one another but that sure doesn't stop the attraction they feel for each other from sizzling. An interesting and engaging plot, likable characters, a ton of sexual tension and witty banter create a highly entertaining read.

I received an ARC from Book Sprout and I am leaving a voluntary review.

When her mom got sick there was no other choice. The treatments are very expensive. So the chance to compete and win one million dollars.....it is a no brainer, that is what Dakota will do. She will do anything to help save her mom. Including participate in this competition. The only thing about that is Dakota didn't plan on her teammate.

He is struggling to get his career and business off the ground. Trent made a promise though to be all in with this business, and he meant it. The competition is going to be the answer to his money worries. He just was not planning on the most gorgeous, aggravating woman as his teammate.

Their meeting went really bad, in the parking lot of the Dare Me competition studio. A little scratch and dent, and tempers are already at an all time high. They are running a little more behind in time than figured. The banter starts in that parking lot. Once inside on onstage in front of an audience for these tryouts leave little room to hide their distaste for one another. They cause the audience a lot of laughter and they are paired up together. Great, just great.

The tests come in, and Trent and Dakota begin to see each other a little bit at a time. Both have their own secret reasons to win this money. The feelings begin, for both, and the denial of those feelings begins as well. The tests are harder each time. One particular test however causes a lot of mixed feelings and make these two confront each other and themselves. They both feel so guilty over it that they try to make it right, separately, but end up running into each other in the process. Now there is no room for doubt about one another. Neither want to lose these tests but the feelings can't be ignored. Dakota shares her reason behind her needing the money. Things change in Trent's mind now. Even though he doesn't share his reasoning, it is pretty clear that Dakota's reason tops all. Even though this was not the reason for sharing it, the only reason she did share it is because she feels like she and Trent are on the same feelings page. She wanted to share an important part of who she is.

The tests keep coming, and now there are going to have to be up against one another for the final test. The competition company really sticks this on each of them. Even though Trent and Dakota have faced their feelings, they still choose to ignore what is really right there in front of them. But the final test proves to be more than Trent is willing to do. He says no, which makes him forfeit. Once it is Dakota's turn, the challenge is told, and at the last minute a familiar voice says something that Dakota stops in her tracks. It is her mom. What is said hits home and really sinks deep into both Trent and Dakota. It also brings them to realize what they really need to do and how they end up with their happy ending - together.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Every now and then you come across a book that makes you laugh so much that you could cry. This book did that for me. This is also the first book that I've read by River Laurent but I will definitely be reading more as River's style of writing is just "so me". We meet Trent who is a total alpha male who is hard working and such a babe magnet who needs an input of cash to get his business going and Dakota who is a strong, feisty young woman who needs to be able to pay the medical bills for her mum. They're both invited to take part in a reality tv show with a prize of $1 million. they meet by accident literally in the car park on their ways to the audition and clash verbally whilst trying to ignore the chemistry between them sizzling and sparking away like lightening between them. They continue to clash and it just gets even more hilarious every time they are anywhere near each other. Eventually they get through the auditions till it's just a few including them. It's decided that they have to compete together much to their horror!! Trent is having thoughts about her involving spanking and losing clothes and her fantasies are along a similar vein. As attraction grows like a volcano about to erupt we see them struggling with their attraction. But will they win? Will they indulge in their fantasies with each other? is it only a one off night stand or something more? I loved this story for it's great writing, the passion and storyline, the humour throughout the book and the suspense of will they/ wont they? All come together to bring you a brilliantly fun read that will not allow you to put it down until you've finished reading it. This was one that I finished reading in the early hours of the morning. Enjoy! I now have to decide which of River's books that I will read next!
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts Arc.

Dakota was on her way to an interview but she was having a bad mornings nothing seem to go right and she was going to be late. She gets to the parking garage as she was pulling in she feels a strong bump. Trent got out of his car and starts yelling at Dakota that it was his spot and she yells back.

She goes to get on the elevator but he get there first and the doors start to close so she throws her bag in and by the time she gets there she puts her fingers in to stop the elevator. She goes to the interview and guess who is there Trent they are trying out for the same game show. The person that wins will make a million dollars and she needed it to get her mother the treatment she needed.

To make matters worse the people thought that Trent and Dakota would make a great team. She rushes out to get home so she could be with her mother. The next day is when the game begins and they past the first hurdle.

Trent and Dakota start their journey together from one crazy stunt to another. Restaurants, strip club, jumping from a helicopter and concerts drawing Trent and Dakota even further together

What will be their final challenge and will both of them survive since they know only one will get the million dollars. Will the last challenge be too much for both or will one prevail? Read the book.

A great great great read by River Laurent about two contestants, Trent & Dakota, who are selected to be partners on a reality show called Dare Me. Their first meeting is not so great and they are literally at each other’s throats, throwing insults and almost ready for a knock down. It gets worse when they are selected as partners who have to work together to claim the one million dollar prize. But during their dares they get closer and soon their annoyance with each other turns to lust and some steamy times. Unfortunately they both want the prize and both have their reasons for it. When it comes down to the wire, what will they do and will one sacrifice the other for the money.
A great steamy read that had me laughing at their banter throughout the whole book and then in tears at the end when it came down to the final showdown. Trent was a man I adored, he wasn’t a man wh***, didn’t have exes or women crawling all over him and was trying to do something good with the money if he won. Dakota was no push over, she was honest and direct and loved her mom fiercely, sacrificing herself for her and doing anything and everything for her.
These two steamed up the pages even before they got together and continued to do so even after....loved it.

Dakota is on her way to an interview when she runs into Trent literally. Both Dakota and Trent were interviewing for a chance to be on a game show to win a million dollars. They continue your their argument from the parking lot during the interview and the audience picks them for the show. Dakota is doing the show to have money for treatment for her mother's cancer. Trent needs the money to start up his business. With each having their own reasons for being on the show they'll have push away their attraction to complete their tasks. The show has stunts that they have to perform to continue on to the next challenge. Dakota and Trent are paired up and encourage each other throughout each stunt. Trent has a feeling that it will come down to him and Dakota for the million dollar prize. Every stunt bring Trent and Dakota closer together. After one intense stunt they give in and have sex and everything changes for both of them. What will happen when it comes down to the two of them at the end? Will they be able to survive the game?

OMG! I loved this book. I laughed through most of it. The stunts they had to pull were hilarious. The chemistry between these two was amazing. If you get this book you won't regret it its a definite must read.

Dakota is running late for an interview to be on the hit reality T.V. show Dare Me. When she goes to back into an open parking space her car is hit by another car. The man that owns the other car gets out and is furious, he believes that Dakota hit him and she believes he hit her. Trent can't believe the audacity of the beautiful spitfire in front of him, he is already late and doesn't have time for this crap in the parking lot. They end up getting eachother's information and Trent heads inside. Dakota quickly finds another parking space and heads in also. They find out that they are both there for the same reason, the one million dollars in prize money for beating everyone else at the reality show Dare Me. Then they find out they will be competing in teams until the final two people are left and then they must beat their teammate in one final stunt. Trent and Dakota get stuck on the same team by the audience votes. They are both not happy about it. As they go through each of the dares that the audience has chosen for them their sexual chemistry grows. Find out if they make it to the end and if they do who will come out victorious in the end? This book is sexy, steamy, outrageous and full of surprises. I definitely recommend this book as a must read.

ARC Review

This was a really cute story with a surprisingly unique spin on a current romance book trope that has recently been popping up all over my beloeved Romance Genre. So the Game Show trope has just been everywhere recently right? Although usually not my favorite storyline I have to say that my general dislike of the new theme has been tamed significantly by this authors spin on the subject. We meet two people who are desperate to win this game show for the big payout 1,000,000 for different but very important reasons to each of them. Trent and Dakota crash into one another on the way to the audition for a show called DARE ME! Its going to award one lucky winner one mil for taking increasing crazy dare they are being texted and completing them. These two had a horrible accidental meeting then they are both chosen not only to participate but to a pair up for these crazy hair-brained dares they are challenged with.
It was refreshingly hilarious, unique, and sweet watching them go from bickering irritation to trusting each other and finally loving each other. I was overwhelmed by the how good this story was and SO glad I persevered even though I really wasn't down with another gameshow story plot. I couldn't have asked for a better story and so I concede I was in fact WRONG, omg there I said it, I am glad to admit it here though lol.

This book was so much fun to read! Dakota and Trent make a perfect enemies-to-lovers couple! The heat pouring off them at their first meeting was sublime! Dakota is pure sass, not afraid to call Trent on his less-than-gentlemanly manners. Trent has 99 problems but he refuses to let Dakota be one of them! When they're matched up as a team for the game show they both desperately need to win, they have to balance working together to stay in the game with maintaining their own goal of winning it all. And neither one counted on the intense, panty-melting, sheet-clawing chemistry they'd have!

The hilarious adventures they embark on perfectly balance the heartwarming moments as they get to know each other beyond their initial impressions. The stunts they're asked to do are sometimes jaw-dropping! So much fun watching them navigate their emotions, their loyalties, their priorities, their attraction and their ambition all at once. The ending was absolutely priceless! I loved every delicious bit of this wonderful story. So, so, so good! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was the story of Dakota, a young woman trying to get on a game show and Trent, who is also trying to get on the show. Dakota wants to win the million dollar prize to help her mother beat her cancer. Trent is trying for the show in order to help launch his business. The day of the auditions, Dakota and Trent get in a fender bender when they both try to park in the same spot. They get into a huge argument and it continues into the building and up the elevator where to both it becomes obvious why they are there. When they are in line, they continue to argue and the producers decide to cast them both, as teammates. There are twenty teams who have to perform dares in public until they are eliminated when they refuse a dare. Then when the last team is left, they have to face off with each other. Along the way, they have many moments. I really enjoyed this book and loved how everyone saw how much they wanted each other before Dakota and Trent did. The dares were funny and embarrassing, making me laugh. Great story.

I absolutely loved this book!!

It had a unique premise, smoking hot chemistry between Trent and Dakota, witty dialogue and a slow burn build up oozing with delicious sexual tension.

Trent and Dakota meet when a fender bender makes them both late for a very important meeting. The sparks immediately begin to fly and not in a good way! Things get even worse when Dakota and Trent end up having to work together for a chance to win a million dollars on a new reality show.

The two of them provide plenty of drama for the viewers, but as they get to know each other while having to perform increasingly difficult and/or embarrassing stunts, the sparks start to smolder and things heat up between the rivals.

They both have important reasons for wanting to win the money, but once they start to realize that winning it all may come at the cost of losing each other, Trent and Dakota have to decide what is more valuable. Love or money?

Crazy hot chemistry and steamy sexy times! Fun, refreshingly original, super sexy romance! Loved every bit of it!

Dakota is a little desperate. Her mother has cancer and the treatment that could save her life is to expensive for them to afford. When she finds out about a game show that the winner gets one million dollars she jumps at the chance. Only traffic is making her late then some jerk hits her car and blames her. And he doesn't seem to stop insulting her.
Trent has been trying to get his business off the ground for years but can't seem to get the financial support he needs. When he hears out the money the winner gets, he is determined to get in the show and win. And the hot loud mouth will not get in his way.
When they wind up being in the show together their tension only thickens. They have to work together to knock out the other teams then if they make it to the end they have to face each other. But when they start seeing the other as more then the competition their feelings for each other grow.
Great book that will have you wondering what the next dare will be and if they will do it. And what will happen to them.

Dare Me is a sexy, sweet romance. Dakota is having a bad day, when Trent runs into her car, he makes it even worse. When she arrives to her appointment (trying to get cast on a reality show) and finds the annoying hot guy who hit her car is trying out too?! Yeah...

But as the two find themselves not only cast on the same two person team, but also that their very inconvenient attraction just might make their competition that much more difficult, they just can't seem to stop themselves from indulging in that attraction. The challenges they are tasked with are funny and slightly insane, ramping up their ever present chemistry, and it was fun and entertaining seeing them try to make it through those challenges with their clothes on.

I love the ending and how each found they couldn't throw the other under the bus, even for the $1M they both so desperately needed. Kudos to River Laurent for this sexy, sweet, entertaining romance!

Unique well written story that took me by surprise. It is not that predictable as I thought it would be. I like the storyline and plot. The characters are well described and develops nicely through the book. The story flows well of the pages and is captivating. This story is written in dual POV, which I like because it gives the thoughts and feelings of both the main characters to the reader. There are twists and turns that are unsuspected and emotional ups and downs. Hot chemistry and steaming scenes. The story has suspence, lust, love and a emotional roller coaster. Trent and Dakota has instant attraction but are not that willing to give in to it. The story is written with very funny scenes and I like the balance in the story. It is really worth the read. A must read if you are into reading romances with a twist.

This is the second book I have read by this author and I am totally speechless once again. This book was of course well written, it's written by River Laurent so did you have any doubt it would be anything less than awesome! It has a fun, entertaining & unique plot that written from a dual POV which only adds more to the book and character development. Trent & Dakota have chemistry from when they first 'run into each other' and it only builds to sizzling hot throughout the book. But what puts this book to the level of astounding & extraordinary is the dual POV plus the sexy & fun banter between Trent & Dakota (which I might add was picked up by the 'audience' when they were matched as a team) and finally the surprise at the end.....truly magnificent! Dare You to one-click Dare Me!

Dare Me For A Million Dollars

I voluntarily received an arc via Booksprout for a fair and honest review. I have to admit, I felt pretty smug after reading the first couple of pages and thought I figured out exactly where this book was going, I was wrong. So points for unpredictability. Before either Dakota and Trent realize it, they are now teammates. Everything leading up to this moment is quite funny. I especially his kicking her purse out of the elevator. Now, Dakota and Trent find themselves forced to work as a team in order to win 1,000,000.00 on a reality show. They will be forced to perform outrageous stunts together in order to move forward. This book is a gem of a book. I was sure this was going to be heroine fights over a parking space with Billionaire neither of them realizing they are both late for the same meeting. This is a fast and fun read.

This was a fun book, it kind of reminded me of the movie Nerve. The two main characters are part of a new reality TV show called Dare Me where they have to complete dares in order to make it to the next round. The grand prize? A million dollars.

I really enjoyed the plot, but wish that the author added more details about the TV show and dares. All of the dares were hilarious and I found myself wishing for more, or at least finding out about the other competitor's and their dares. The ending was a little too easy and a little unfair, I was really looking forward to the see what their 'final dares' would be and thought that it was disappointing.

I really wish there was a book based off of the events of the show, I would love to know who the other contestants are and what they had to do.

This was a slow burn enemies to lovers romance where the sexual chemistry built so naturally that I just wanted them to cross that line and devour eachother. Dakota and Trent meet after a carpark bingle where they let out their frustrations on one another only to be teamed up minutes later where they are both competing in a gameshow called Dare Me where the prizemoney is a cool million dollars. They both need the money for personal reasons and are both willing to stoop to any level for the win. This was such a fun read, it had me laughing, crying, cheering and ultimately smiling right until the very last page.

I totally love River Laurent's work and this one is no exception! I hate realty television but Dakota and Trent were just too hilarious! The stunts were funny though some were a little out there. I was glad that River still worked it where Dakota and Trent both still had morals and ethics despite participating in this show. The two were explosive together immediately at the start of the story. It was amazing to watch their love transpire despite everything. The plot was different. The story-line flowed smoothly throughout. I really enjoyed it.

Dakota and Trent were amusing to read about - they were at odds with each other, yet the chemistry between them was sizzling hot! When they have to team up in a game show, it takes them on some crazy, wild adventures and challenges. The biggest challenge though, is who will win the game? How far will they go? And how will they survive each other? I loved the way the romance developed between them - from antagonistic and impossibly rude to being each other's rock to get through the competition. Great read!

Love this book. I don't know that I would be able to go through all the dares that they did even for a million dollars But in the process of going through all these dare they fall in love with each other but neither says anything because they know in the end they will be pitted against each other for the money. What will the final Dare be? Who will be the winner? Will they be able to make things work even after the final Dare?

I have to say this book started off so good for me, I was loving where it was going. However, I really felt like it was too short and the relationship wasn't fully developed. At 40% I realized I was headed towards the ending of the book and I was disappointed because I not only thought the story needed to develop more but also that the book was stuffed with other books. I really hate when that happens because as readers we aren't expecting it, and it kind of takes away from the enjoyment of what we initially thought we were reading.

Dakota and Trent went from being at each other’s throats to being each other’s support system. They have a dynamic chemistry and go on quite a few adventures with many challenges on a game show. The biggest challenge of all is not falling for one another. Will they be able to keep their feelings on the back burner? This is a great book with lots of chemistry and very fun to read! Grab it and see for yourself.
