First let me say that I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, but it in no way influenced my feedback. I always leave an honest review.

I really enjoyed these stories, they weren't your usual alien, stories. They were a mix of everything; like time travel, fairy tales redone, etc. There were many things in each story that kept them very interesting. Like; a modern woman, a Queen with magic, a evil sorceress, a psychotic princess, a talking cat, & let's not forget hunky warriors.. I loved them all & recommend this series. 5 Thumbs up

Enjoyable

Zheka is a prosperous kingdom however there seems to be a large number of unhappy people, especially royalty. Each story has a different romance between a royal and nonroyal. I enjoyed how the royals became better people for it. My favorite story was the third book where Talyn tries to take over the kingdom and Selena and her warrior were the only ones that could stop it.

Please do not waste your time

This is not worth the time to read I really hate leaving bad reviews and try to give as much credit where credit is due but these books were just bad! I told myself I would read them all so I could give my honest opinion in my review but on the second book when the leading lady picks up this supposedly huge warrior who passed out cause he never could handle the sight of blood I said No More I couldn't take any More!!! The first book started off with Angelina being some how brought from Earth to this strange kingdom Zenkah where she meets the Prince who claims to be a adventurer someone who travels and knows the land and she's happy cause maybe he can help her get home the author never tells us how she got to Zenkah who brought her or anything like that and the Prince immediately takes her to meet his mother in hopes the newest arrival will take her mind off his immanent engagement his mother wants him to choose a bride and he doesn't want any of the women in the kingdom or neighboring kingdom he wants to explore. So his mom bursts his bubble by telling Angelina that he lied he isn't a explorer and he can not help her and she's pissed at him he goes off gets drunk with his buddies and comes back to the castle to be awaken by Angelina demanding he promise never to leave her alone again and to get dressed because his mother had prepared a banquet in her honor and the last statement from the Prince in the chapter was I wonder what the banquet is about? What do you know we never found out what it was about because the author jumps a week forward and Angelina is in his mother's study learning magic and she talks about how well they had been getting along since that night and how his mother pretty much took her under her wing and she couldn't be more happier so anyways I don't want to keep going on and on but there were so many gaps and so much junk thrown together I don't even see how this could be called a decent book! The women in Zenkah are the only ones that can wield magic the men are grunts they do all the heavy lifting and are made out to be nothing but mindless cavemen not good enough for anything but fighting and making babies there is so much wrong with these stories I could write a freaking book about it but I'm not I'm sorry if this comes off harsh and mean but it just really sucked to me.

Overall this set gets three stars. This set includes all four books (Aerdan, Huen, Phalenx, and Baelan) in the Zhekan Mates series. These books can be read as standalone, but each book builds on the previous ones. There isn't a cliffhanger at the end of each book, though it is open-ended for the next book in the series. I originally read each book individually, but this set makes it easy to keep reading without having to find the next book. There is violence, magic, and sex.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. You easily get caught up in the emotions of the characters and story. There is plenty of action as well as twists and turns in the books. The storylines are average and contain "instant-love" relationships which isn't my favorite. But I still enjoyed the diversion these books provided.

From what I have read I enjoyed it alot but unfortunately I only got to read a sample I got from amazon a while ago while reading it I looked to see the price of the series I noticed it had vanished and everywhere I have looked so fab doesn't have it anymore. I would love to continue the sample ends in the middle of the book and I'm not sure if it show all of the first one or not. I enjoyed the characters and hope I can eventually finish it

This is one of my first ever 1 star review. This author is stuffing their boxset on Amazon to screw over other authors in the Kindle Unlimited program. No matter how good the books are, this author is immoral and dishonest.

Mixed

Did not care for the first series. Liked the second series much more. The stand alone sat the end where ok. I time reading it was enough for me.
