Tiffani Simpson has a nice orderly life, and she loves it. She gives her all to her work every day. When she loses her job and accepts a position working for the McClain Boys’ Ranch, things change, but she can accept small changes. What she can’t accept is the most handsome man she’s ever met as her boss. She doesn’t believe in dating someone she works with, so it’s hard to know what to do about him. Adam McClain, following his father’s advice, hires Tiffani Simpson as the ranch’s new fundraising coordinator. As an empath, he has a difficult time being too close to people, but there’s something about Tiffani that draws him toward her. When he finds himself in a situation where he feels he has to choose between her and the work he’s always known he was born to do, he gets confused. Can he make it work to be with Tiffani and take care of his boys? Or will he choose to spend the rest of his life alone?
Adam McClain is the eldest son in the McClain family which consists of seven sons. Each one of them has a special ability. There are seven books in this series, each book concentrates on one of the sons, telling his story and his ability. Sounds like some magical element but it was very subtle in this book. Adam has the gift of empathy, where he can know what others are feeling and their emotional state. All the sons work on the family's ranch & each one of them is responsible for something. Adam is the psychologist and the camp counselor. The ranch is basically for the care of foster teenage boys. Tiffani Simpson is recruited in the ranch as the fundraiser. Something between her and Adam clicks. Is it a coincidence or a destiny? That you need to know yourself.
This is a short clean romance. I loved a lot the concept of the big family living in one place with each one having one special ability. The concept itself was compensation for the lack of character development. I understand that for a short story it is difficult to expand on the characters without affecting the story itself. This is a story that does not have lots of tension. It is suitable when you want something sweet, interesting to read and relax with. I am giving Adam a good 3.5 stars out of 5.0 and will continue reading the remaining books in the series.
. Adam McClain is the first son of a seventh son, who falls hard for Tiffani Simpson, the new fund-raiser for the ranch. This short story depicts their whirlwind romance and her reactions to family secrets. Adam has the gift of empath which aids him in his position on the boys' ranch his family runs. The time frame for their romance is a bit unbelievable, but cute anyway.
This series has a very intriguing storyline including magic gifts, gentleman cowboys, and destiny. This is in spite of the fact their mama named them alphabetically after the sons on a classic movie. Because of this, I was excited to crack open the pages. Enjoy the legends of the seventh sons of a seventh son, magical gifts, and enough love to raise thirty boys who needed all the attention, discipline, and leadership they can possibly muster.
We're just moving forward on this earth with what we've been given, doing our best every day, just like everyone else.
The characters lacked a certain depth most good novels contain. However, it does contain lots of inspiration and leaves the reader with a warm and fuzzy feeling. I enjoy that most assuredly.
This is a clean and wholesome read (except for some kisses) that is able to stand on its own. I'm interested enough to continue on to learn more about this amazing family structure and the new personal relationships forming for each brother.
I accessed this series at no cost through the Kindle Unlimited Prime program. I originally rated this 3.5, but bumped it to a 4.0 since it does contain many interesting attributes.
I enjoyed this short book that takes romance and adds an interesting twist. The McClain family has seven sons and they run a ranch for boys. When Tiffani Simpson is hired on at the ranch, she is going to learn some family secrets and even one that explains why she was picked for the job. I read some reviews on this book where readers didn't like the special abilities of the sons, especially Adam, but I thought it made the story unique. I'm glad the author added that in.

Loved this sweet wonderful love story by Kirsten Osbourne!!! I loved the little different twist of the gift that Adam has it made for certainly an interesting read. I especially loved that this series is based on the idea of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers as this movie is one of my classic movie favorites. Kirsten Osbourne is a very gifted writer and I look forward to continuing the rest of the brother’s stories in this series
Adam begins the Seven Sons series with a definitely unique touch to these stories. Each of these brothers has a very special “gift”, and as you’ll come to understand throughout the series those gifts are often helpful but equally troublesome in several ways. Each man will face his own situation where the woman he comes to love will enhance his abilities in ways that no one could ever have known. You may also pick up that there are threads in Seven Sons that connect in some small way to many series that Kirsten Osbourne has written stories for… and if you follow Ms Osbourne then I’ll let you find those gems for yourself. I picked up three clues to series that I’ve read, and there may be more – I’m pretty certain we’ll get more hints as the series continues. It’s a fun touch and adds to the enjoyment of this series.
Adam has devoted most of his life to the family’s Boys’ Ranch where they help young teens who are in the foster car system, really at the last hope for them place in the system learn how to cope with life, set aside the troubles that brought them into foster care and begin the journey to learn how to be strong men who will contribute to society once they finally leave not only foster care but the Ranch as well. It’s something Adam’s family has done for generations and it is extremely rewarding – but also extremely demanding on him mentally and emotionally. Running such a huge operation takes talent, co-ordination and donations but the woman who has been their lead fundraiser for years has retired. Adam’s father gives him a strong suggestion as to who to hire for the position… and Adam knows better than to ignore his dad’s advice.
Tiffani likes order, and her life has just been sent into total disarray when she’s laid off from her job… and is offered an interview for another almost immediately. Her mind is already overflowing with ideas on how she could help the McClain family raise even more money from their fundraising efforts. She may not have the job just yet, but she’s going in fully loaded with ideas to impress. What Tiffani doesn’t understand is that she is stepping into a prophecy, a glimpse of the future that Adam’s dad has already seen… now all it will take is for two people to fall in love.
There is a lot of destiny at play in Adam. And I suspect we’re going to see even more as the series progresses. Tiffani and Adam’s whirlwind romance is sweet and clean, but I’m very glad that there was definitely the strong attraction between them that also had to be addressed in ways that were right for Adam. Just because someone says no to premarital sex does not mean that they do not feel the desire, only that their willpower is strong enough to wait. There is a lot of family history, and special gifts explaining that Adam must do for Tiffani. It can be overwhelming especially in the middle of a very intense courtship. Unfortunately, a situation will occur where Adam feels he has to make a choice – one that he didn’t think out very well but reacted to emotionally. That mistake could cost him his happy ending.
I enjoyed Tiffani and Adam’s romance. There is world building, of course, but it isn’t overwhelming. A couple who are believable in their surprise, frustrations and acceptance of each other makes this a very enjoyable read. I’m definitely going to enjoy seeing how the rest of the brothers handle their own romances. I’d recommend Adam for any Romance reader.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Adam's family is very special in more ways than one. He is the seventh generation of the seventh son of the seventh son. He is the oldest, so he doesn't have the powers of his youngest brother. He is an empath, and each brother has a special ability, with his baby brother having some of each ability. His mom named all the boys after the Seven Brides For Seven Brothers characters. His dad can see the future, and tells him to hire Tiffani to be the new person in charge of the annual fundraiser for their boys ranch, where they turn troubled youth into productive members of society. By the way, his dad sees that Tiffani is meant to be his wife. This novel is 100% clean and wholesome, no swearing and no sex.
Adam is the first book in a new series (Seven Sons) by Kirsten Osborne. It is a contemporary sweet historical romance. I really enjoyed Adam’s and Tiffani’s story and am looking forward to the other books in the series. I feel happiness reading Kirsten’s books.
Kirsten Osbourne writes the type of Books that makes me want to keep reading and makes me want to go on to the next book & the next. She does her due diligence in her research of areas, customs and the periods in history she is writing about. In my youth I was fascinated by American History and the Westward Expansion. I lived in Texas, Oklahoma & California and studied these periods in school. A good friend of mine came from a Mormon heritage & I learned about their movement to Utah. Why people moved to different areas of our Nation is very interesting & the story of their journeys are fascinating. Few countries can match our history and our journey to fight for freedom & sovereignty. This Series about a fictional family group keeps true to the American Dream of finding a Home to live in Peace with family & friends. Blessings Kirsten & pray you have more inspiration for your books. My family roots are Danish, Scotch, Irish & English. I married a man of Swedish, French & Polish heritage. We are true 3rd generation Americans! 😆
Clean contemporary romance will pull at your heart strings. Twist in modern romance with endearing surprises.
Tiffinay has invested into her careers a workaholic and now she is laid off....what to do. That's when she calls an add in the paper and gets an interview that will change her life. Adam is the oldest of Seven brothers. All brothers work on the ranch, the ranch is a home for for fostering kids that have gotten into trouble and the parents have written them off. The ranch is their last chance for turning their lives around. A clean romance. Violence 0, sex0 kissing is as hot as it got.

Clean, very interesting romantic love story with a few interesting discoveries. I love the characters, the plot is wonderful, I had a hard time putting this down. Lol Adam is the oldest and one of seven brothers who is also a psychologist, and camp councilor at the ranch for foster care teenage boys. They need a new fundraiser to help with the funding of the boys ranch. Once the fundraiser is hired.....I don't like Giving the story away.....this is good....really good. This is an ARC and I freely give this review
This is such a sweet short story. I greatly enjoyed it. The story follows Adam who is the first son of the 7th son, and they are the 7th generation. Something is to be said about being a seventh son, but being the first son of the 7th generation has its perks. Anyways, Adam is a counselor for troubled youths. When his fundraising specialist retires he is in charge of finding someone to take over. In come Tiffani and sparks start to fly. What follows is a sweet love story. If you are into short romances with a paranormal twist then this is a book for you! Happy reading my friends.
I feel as though this is a slightly fleshed out outline. I am not complaining about the instalove (that's normal considering this is a "fated mate" fantasy story.) What I don't like is that the interview consists of Adam basically opening a door, assessing if she finds him attractive, then telling her she's hired with barely any questions about her qualifications or discussion of salary requirements. Honestly, Adam spent more time talking to Noah at his intake than he did to Tiffani at their first meeting.
I'm going to love this series. Kirsten ha managed to pull elements from her other series into this one. If you've read her orphans series, you'll recognize the tie through Penny who married the seventh son and had seven of her own. Then there's Pastor Kevin from Rivers End Ranch - he was raised with Adam and his brothers. The ladies have put their bonnets together and pulled off again!
Book 1 in the Seven Sons series. Adam, his seven brothers and parents, run an orphan boys ranch. Seven sons seems to run in each generation of the family. Each brother has a special gift it seems. Thirty troubled boys are at the ranch. In need of a person to head fundraising, Tiffani is hired for the job. Adam's father knows that these two will be married someday. Will that be a fact? Good topic for a book on helping troubled boys. Pretty fast paced on the romance side.
Clean romance. Adam the eldest of seven helps run the family boy's ranch. Hiring Tiff to be the new fundraiser coordinator turns out to be the best thing to happen. She is the women for him, now to get her to see it. Enjoyed the first book in the new series. Since their are seven brothers I am looking forward to reading each one.
This story is based on a ranch in Texas where a family of 7 brothers takes in boys who have been in trouble and their families have given up on them. I liked the strength of the family, they honestly cared for and respected each other, and the young men they are fostering.
The only reason I gave this a 4 is because you are introduced to a boy named Nick. Told he was thinking of committing suicide, he laughed with the boys, and then nothing.
I know the story wasn't about him but was about Adam, but for me I wanted more information shared about Nick. That's the only reason I gave it a 4. It was otherwise a good book.
I loved this first story in the Seven Sons series. It was funny at times, sad at times but so wonderful that I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Well thought out characters and we'll written story line. A happy ever after even with a few problems. But that makes a good romance.
So excited to see this was a series. This is a spin off of one of the orphan book series (Penny's story). You don't have to read that series but I recommend it because it is good too.
Cant wait for Gideon and Brittany's story! Hoping it is next book!
Thanks to NO for connecting multiple series together. I can't wait for the next book in this series. Just wish the book had one more scene, which I will not identify as it would be a spoiler.
The first book in this series and already I can't wait to get my hands on the next! Adam is an empath and has a really tough time being close to Tiffany... like he has a choice! Wow! When love, lust and hormones take over, what's a man to do? Get Married!
Well written story that continues the history of this family... I have read from the great-grandparents courtship and look forward to more stories of this family.
I loved the whole story line of this series. The boys ranch, the special gift every one has and the characters. Another great book by a wonderful author.
Hero: Adam Heroine: Tiffini Reading Enjoyment:4.5* I enjoyed reading such a fun read from beginning to end. The characters were believable and unpredictable. The story line/plot was a little unique but I couldn't put it down.
This was such a fun read from beginning to end. The characters were believable and unpredictable. The story line was a little over the top but I couldn't put it down. I'm ready for book two. Can't wait to read the whole series!
This is a great story with amazing characters that show you what true love is it's about loving and being love unconditionally for who you are and this charming heartwarming story is a great example of that.
Take the legend of the seventh son of the seventh son and throw in a little destined romance and you have an interesting start to a new series. Looking forward to the stories of the butter brothers and their "gifts".
I love the people, the concepts, and the story. I will be reading the next in the series. But... It was a little rushed, a little short because of being rushed, and I hope we get more story around some of the side story lines.
I enjoyed reading this book but I felt like the insta love was a little over the top, though I can kinda understand why with the book being just a little over a hundred pages.
