Robot Squirrel – a robotic wildlife coming of age story by Luke Thompson, with illustrations by John Kilburn.

Luke Thompson’s first pamphlet, The Clearing, was published in 2016 by Atlantic Press and won the Michael Marks Award for Illustration for the artwork by Mairead Dunne. The same year, Luke published a biography of the poet Jack Clemo. He has edited books for Common Ground and Enitharmon and runs his own small press, Guillemot Press.

John Kilburn is an Illustrator living in Cornwall. His illustrations, handmade zines, pop-up books and comics have been collected, published and exhibited internationally by the likes of Gestalten, Printed Matter NY and the Yale Center for British Art. He previously worked on the production team of Tiny Pencil artzine and is a director of Atlantic Press, who published his set of 24-hour comics 72 hrs in 2015.

Luke and John met through Atlantic Press and have collaborated on a number of projects. Their next book will be a collection of short prose-ish pieces, mostly about fish, entitled on the slab.
