A journey through time to save one life jeopardizes the lives of everyone Scarlett holds dear in this finale of the Laird for all Time series. Scarlett would do anything to save her unborn baby, even return to a time she never thought she’d see again. Not for a moment had she missed the constant scrutiny of a celebrity life. To reappear now, inexplicably pregnant in the eyes of the modern world would create a media circus, but Scarlett knows she can overcome any obstacles with Laird at her side and the help of new friends drawn together across time itself by the enigmatic Scotsman known as Auld Donell. The crafty old Scot had been busy over the years, not just meddling in Scarlett’s life but browsing through time, tweaking history and changing the fates of his other ‘projects’. They’d all received a second chance at love, but are unaware of how closely they’re connected despite the years separating them. Unaware of how their Fates are entangled. And unaware of how Auld Donell’s ‘master plan’ to right a few wrongs of his own will put all their lives in peril against an unforeseen enemy. Laird Hepburn spent years enjoying his wife’s fantastic tales of the future world, but he’d never expected—or wanted to see it for himself. Now to ensure the survival of his unborn bairn and protect his family, he must face that alien world head on. Alas, the future holds more surprises and danger than any of them had anticipated. Soon, Laird realizes that in order to avert disaster and save the lives of his loved ones, he may be forced to sacrifice his own.

I've loved this series from book 1 on. I truly lived seeing all the characters actually meet up in this exciting read... Not to mention piece together how Donnel ties in with everyone.... Add in a psycho trying to harm them for some unknown reason, and Scarlett's psycho, money grubbing mother into the mix and we have an interesting foe. To fully understand this final book in the exciting series, I HIGHLY suggest reading the previous books. Not a neccesity, but helps with the back story. People from many different time lines band together to help save the life of an unborn baby... Along the way they learn there are more family to be discovered and enemies to escape. All in all it's a really fun read with romance, family and an obsessed psycho trying to end it all.
A lot is happening in this book but all for the good. Such an excellent well written story! Scarlett and Laird/James are the pivotal pair of the story. Yes, Donell is the wizard/time traveler. He is the person who sets things along a specific path and tweeks the times. He is such an interesting character throughout the stories. There is so much going on in this book and if you have not read the other books you might not understand what is happening. Rhys is still a favorite of mine. You will love the action, romance and the humor but this is such a big story with lots of changes. I love the series and would love to see more involving Hugh, Claire,Connor, Emmy,Keir, Al, Scarlett and Laird but especially Rhys in his own story! I highly recommend this this entire series of books! I would give this book more than five stars if I could!
Great ending to the whole series, esp. having read it along with the audiobooks. I love how they both spoke the Gaelic parts. Only thing that wasn’t consistent was how Kirsten Potter pronounced Sorcha’s name in the last book from their original story. I wish they had included Al and Keir even for a smidgen to see how Hugh faired. Poor Allorah would never see the 21st century again or Mr. Darcy. And Keir seeming more interested in the future than the other Highlanders, he seemed more deserving with glimpse of what the future would hold! Clare and Allorah may have been friends in the lab. I get that it would be so many characters involved, but knowing that Connor was a descendant would’ve been neat! Perhaps if there would be future stories of the descendants. (I’m uncertain if there are more stories connected to these characters) stories with Donell involved would be fantastic!

This was a very interesting book that included all the past time travellers in this series in one novel. Reading about them all together in the 21st century and their progress was great and made the novel very enjoyable.
The death of Rhys and Connor, and Donnell's change of timeline to revive them was really fascinating. It ended on a high with lots of action and thrills and I also liked the way the epilogue hinted undisclosed information about Connor's background as an adopted child - who would have thought that! It was a bit sad when Rhys stayed behind in the 21st century. Also when Emmy and Connor went back to their own time, never to see Scarlet and Laird again, who had become close friends.
I think this novel was cleverly written. However my only negatives are the long and repetitive dialogues in some sections and the sexual scenes. This was too much. At times the scenes made me feel like I was reading pornography and I had to skip some of these pages, especially the oral, sex shower scene with Rhys and Scarlet, who had given birth a few days before.
The sexual scenes were the same in all of the novels that I have read. I am no prude, but these scenes leaves nothing to the imagination and it's a shame really, because the rest of the content is more than sufficient to grab a reader's attention and keep them enthralled.
I am very interested in time travel and don't mind the romance that goes with it, but the sex scenes need not be so explicit. However, it was well deserving of a five star and the entire content would be suitable for readers who loves reading time travel fictional novels like I do, but would also love a bit of titillation.
Let me just say that this was a spicy steamy passionate book 📕. Each of the couples have sex at least once (probably 2x or more) during the story which I loved. It was also a little complicated to follow and keep track of each couple in the past present and future but it was very interesting as well. The main theme was undying true love ❤️ is worth fighting for. There is a connection between all of the couples in that some are ancestors to others and they meet when are all brought together to the present. Great great great grandfathers and grandmothers meet their hereditary line in the couples. It had a villain trying to wipe out their families because he lost his wife in the past or future (not sure which) and wanted to change history. There was a sort of fairy godfather transporting and watching out for them and helping them survive even reversing death for their HEA. It was good because having read the previous 4 books 📚 one is already invested in the characters and obviously wants to know how they get their happily ever afters. Overall I liked the series and the characters especially their romances but I could have done without the theory and explanations of time travel. But even with that objection I would recommend this series. Some books were better than others.
This is the culmination of all five books and wow! It’s a doozy. Although the first part is a bit slower, it really needed to be in order to keep everyone straight and figure out how they’re connected. Not to mention how Auld Donall fits into it all. Or rather, what his plan has been in moving them through time. It’s a wild adventure and no option of putting the book down once the critical action begins.
Once again it’s well-written. Angeline has a beautiful way of describing scenes, emotions, people, and things. The entire series is not the typical time-travel story but has a wonderful storyline. The characters are endearing, especially the Scots, and the sentiments of everlasting love and second chances are marvelous.
I read the ebook and also listened to the audio version. The narrator is good (except for the different one in book 3). Her Scottish accents are great and I never had difficulty knowing who was speaking. One thing: in this book she changed her pronunciation of some names, which bugged me. I value consistency.
The last book in the series. This story brings back most of the time-traveling couples in a group situation that risks all their lives and futures. Not only are they risking their futures to save the life of a child, but a crazy man is hunting them down individually. It is not really smart to threaten a group of highland warriors! There were some good parts to the book and the mystery of their time-traveling is solved. Scarlett got on my nerves as she did in her solo book and the romantic scenes with so many couples were a bit too much. They all pretty much had the same experience so it made my eyes roll. It was not the best book in the series, but I got my happy ending.
This storyline just tops all of them. Bringing the characters together and interlocking them for all time was brilliant story telling. Knowing that this book is the finale of this series, I can not help myself from wishing to read more. I feel certain that our time watcher future man has a lot more stories to tell us. Read the series and saver the final book.
Awesome book and series — make sure to add this to your library — you will love it too.
I absolutely loved this story. It's the culmination of the series "A Laird for All Time" and will always hold a special place in my heart as I came to care for these characters and the lives they all came to live, finding love so unexpectedly in a time and place they never dreamt existed for them.
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title within the series set box. (Audible Membership)
A birth of child can be a treacherous event, in today's medical innovative times, but a birth in 18th century Scotland was even worse. So given a choice where would a mother choose to birth a child that wanted to enter this world before it should. This trip reveals a treasure trove of items that those from a distant past could only marvel at.
Last in the Shirtless Kilted Men series (a.k.a. A Laird for All Time), and it was very good!! All of the stories from the previous books came together to knit quite an interesting tapestry of time travel shenanigans. I really liked how all the things came together, and it was fun revisiting old couples. I was annoyed that the narrator (different than in the first book featuring Claire) pronounced Siorse (Hugh's name for Claire) *utterly* wrong.
This book was a must read for me after reading all the others in the series & Angeline did not disappoint. So many twists & turns in this one, but, Angeline successfully reduced me to tears, yet again. I love the characters she creates & how she tells their stories & when they all come together, it's special. This is a series of books I'm going to read over & over.
I really enjoyed this book, the whole series. The characters are believable and likeable, and I really cared about what happened to them. time travelling should be possible for all of us. Sign me up!!! The writing was fairly smooth, with less of the troublesome editing errors that seem to proliferate these days. I highly recommend this book, if this is your genre. I love time-travel-books.
This is beginning to turn into a series, when I never really thought of it as a series. But all the couples of the earlier books are being brought together to solve one more problem and now you have lots of guys from other periods exploring modern day Edinburgh and that turns out to be quite a good read.
Outstanding ending to a wonderful series! I'm so sad to have it end. Loved all the characters in this series. I'm glad I own the whole series so I can listen to it over again. One of the best things about this series is it makes me laugh. The narration by Kirsten Potter is the icing on the cake. She is and will always be one of my favorite narrators.
This was a perfect ending to the series. It was great seeing old characters again. The storyline was brought to an ultimate conclusion and all answers were revealed. It was just perfect.
This was the second time I've read this book and it was great. I like how the writer brings all the characters together from different time periods.A lot of caring and loving in this story.
I wish the women weren’t so daft but all-in-all a really good story. Time travel, romance a mystery and Auld Donnell it all works. Everyone ends up where they belong and let’s hope one day we find out what happens to Reese.
A good wrap-up to the series, bringing back most of the characters from the other books (or at least a mention of them). Lots of danger, intrigue and some interesting revelations!
I just finished A Laird For All Time series. I loved this series. So different than all the other time travel series. Congratulations Angeline on this achievement.
Definitely not high-quality literature, but the writing is good and the series was fun to read. Some inconsistencies in the storylines but you have to let it go and just enjoy it for what it is....a welcome change from the intense Outlander series.
