Well this short little novella certainly did it’s job of intriguing me and has me leaning toward starting this series at some point.

I've always complained about Antony Ferguson narrating the Dark Kings series of Ms. Grants but he sounds wonderful compared to Louisa Jane Underwood narrating this, Carly Robins narrating Sons of Texas series and Rebecca Estrella narrating Heart of Texas series. Neither one of these women can even pretend to do a man's voice SO when the hero and heroine have sex it sounds like 2 women in every book. WTH is wrong with you publishers and authors that you can't find a decent narrator instead of just hiring whoever the cheapest.

An hour and 7 minutes and I couldn't even finish it. I got to 67% and had to quit. That's ridiculous!

There was no swearing in this but there was sex.

I've read, probably, close to 70 books by Ms. Grant but I just can't read these stories. I'll just stick to the Dragons and the Reapers, because they're awesome. I'll be able to put up with Antony Ferguson much better now, after trying Everkin.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everkin is a quick, magical bite of Donna Grant’s world—short, intriguing, and beautifully written. The story draws you in fast, with rich fantasy and sparks of romance, but ends just when you’re really hooked. A perfect teaser that leaves you craving more!

This is a short little start to the Kindred series. I’m intrigued to find out how their plan works when it comes to the Coven. Another great intro in a new series by Donna Grant.

This is a novella from the Kindred series by that brings us the story of Edra and Radnar.

Edra was happy. She found a coven and she was happy to be with people like herself. Until she founds out who they really were. And then she ran away.

Radnar was never the same since the love of his life disappeared without a word. For seven years, he searched for her and now that he found her, he won't let her go.

This novella was a very interesting way to introduce this series. I fell in love with this world immediately and this characters were compelling. Their story was beautiful, it was a second chance romance filled with magic and mystery.

Listened to audio narrated well by Louisa Jane Underwood. This book is set in England 1334, while I enjoyed the accents it sounded very modern and I had to remind myself of it's origins.

Edra is a witch and when she was approached by a coven she was happy to be with people like herself until she realizes they are bent on evil deeds.

Radnar was a squire and is now a battle harden Knight, still searching after seven years for his lost love.

This novella is the beginning of Radnar and Edra's story. They met and fell in love when he was a squire. When she leaves him with no explanation he searches for her for years unwilling to give up on finding her. When they are reunited Radnar is in for some big surprises.

Grant packs a lot in this novella. Radnar and Edra's love is heart-warming and I can't wait to read more about the new life they are building together to protect the world.

This is book 0.5 of the new series by Donna Grant – The Kindred!
This book sets the scene and it really has made me excited to read more!!  This book introduces you to the two main characters Radnar and Edra who I feel will both be great additions to the series and I can’t wait to read more about them as the stories develop!  I love Donna’s books and they are like a great but of escapism for me – my favourites being those that feature the Dark Kings and the Reapers but having read this novella, I feel that its going to be another great series and I can’t wait for the first book to be released later on this year!!  The pace and writing style were great – 5 stars from me and cannot wait to get the first book when its released!

A novella to introduce a new series by Donna Grant. Natural born witch Edra was happy to have found a coven to call her on. Until she learned they were evil and had no scruples in harming or killing others. Escaping them was her only choice, especially as the coven threatened to kill all those she knew or loved. Radnar was only a squire when the love of his life disappeared on him. For the past seven years he’s been searching for her and now that he has found her again, he’ll never let her go. Uncovering her secret and the reason she left him behind will hurt, but she needs him more than ever and he’ll not let her down. A brief second chance romance that enters a world of passion, magic and mystery. A perfect Donna Grant combination.

short but good

Edra is a real witch and joins a coven. The coven is not all she thought it would be. When the coven threatens her love ones, she leaves to protect them. Radnar was a squire when Edra last saw him but he’s a knight now. He has never loved anyone as much as he loved Edra. When Radnar finds Edra, she is fighting four witches. After disposing of them, she explains why she left. She has become a witch hunter and plains to grow her own army. The first one she finds, is a little girl orphaned. Edra plans to make orphaned children her army of hunters.

This is a prequel and very short. It is a historical, which I am not a fan of.

This is a very short story. Only about 60 pages. I did like it! It is the beginning of the series I’m assuming.
It’s about a girl and boy who were in love as kids. Later to run into each other. … Radnar has gone on to become a great knight. He still loves Edra but has made something of himself. He has no idea his lost love was a witch. She left to protect him. He sees someone who looks like her and he follows. She’s being chased by women in different cloaks. He watches and follows. In the end, he helps save her. They rekindle their love and start a journey together.
This begins the next chapter.

Radnar and Edra
I like their story. I like the fact that it is happening in medieval times.
Do I like it better that the Warriors, Reapers, or Dragon Kings? Absolutely not. Is it a good story, nice paranormal romance? Absolutely! I would recommend this series. This is obviously a novella, so the story was short. I would have preferred that it was longer, but understand that we needed this story to happen first and build upon it. I hope that we will see these characters more and get a more in depth look at them. I felt their story was rushed and I would have liked more!

The Kindred novella of Edra & Radnar is beautifully written. In just the few short pages Ms. Grant makes you fall in love with the characters and their incredible love for each other. It also lays the ground work for The Kindred series – full of witches, warlocks & hunters set in a medieval time period. I highly recommend this read, it gives you a taste of this world and draws you in and makes you ready for Eversong. Also, if you are just starting this series you have multiple books to binge which is always wonderful!

I randomly came across this book on Amazon about 30 minutes ago and decided to give it a read. And I must say I am not disappointed. This is like a short 59-page novella introducing a couple and a series. I honestly really love Edra and Radnar, and I will be reading the series, if not now but before 2025 ends. I give this book between a 3.5 and 4/5 star ratings. This is my first time reading a fantasy book and I can't wait to read the rest of the books of this series. I recommend this book if you are a fantasy lover because it also introduces you to the series.

Edra is a natural-born witch who fled her home to protect the man she loves. Radnar is a knight whose heart was shattered when Edra left. Radnar has never stopped searching for her. Edra escaped the Coven seven years ago and she has been running ever since to keep those she loves safe. The Coven wants Edra back and knows that Radnar is her weakness. Edra and Radnar's love becomes their weapon against the Coven. This fast-paced paranormal romantic fantasy is filled with magic and danger set in a medieval setting. I really enjoyed this amazing paranormal fiction romance novella.

a short, cute story !!!
this really cute scene:
"I know that look."
She shrugged and gave him an innocent smile. "What look?"
"The one that says you're preparing for something, and you're going to get your way regardless of who tries to stop you."
Edra blew him a kiss. "It got me you, didn't it."
"I went after you," he said with a snort.
"You're wrong. I decided I was going to have you."

This is a very short introduction into how Edra and Radnar net. It also shows how the Hunters began. I already read the first two books so I knew some of the information on these two but haven't met them yet. I suggest reading this before reading book one. It will help with understanding of a few things.

Short prequel.

Introduction to Radnar and Edrar, and the Kindred Series.

“Radnar had an innate morality that didn’t always go along with the current politics or policies.”

Morals certainly worthy of the knight he is.

With an equally strong MC and FMC, while brief, this was engaging. Loved the historical world which included witchcraft, in an era they were hunted.

Beautiful Novella

What a great start to The Kindred series. I loved the romance between Edra and Radnar. His longing for her. And his search for her may have been long. But to have her once again is an HEA.

It was just a short novella, but I wished the character relationships were more established, more realistic and not so quick to be "All good!". It's not even filling all the Kindle pages that it claims to have, most being just promotions for other books.
