Fix-HER-Upper is a fantastic book! I read one chapter every morning as part of my daily devotionals and each is both entertaining and spiritually uplifting! So many of the anecdotes made me remember that I'm not alone in my walk, that I'm not the only one who makes mistakes. Logically, we all know that. But spiritually? Emotionally? That's a different story. The anecdotes are funny and touching while teaching some meaningful lessons along the way. Highly recommended read! I finished the book and planning to start again from the beginning very soon! :-D
We all need an infusion of encouragement and laughter. The dynamic duo, Beth and Rhonda, took the DIY improvement projects to help us fix our messy and complicated lives. I love, love their metaphors and analogies which they use as brilliant bridges to help the reader grasp the spiritual truths that literally transform our lives. Their writing is creative and joyful, but beware of the punches and tool that will drive many “ah ha” moments into your pre-constructed lives. This is a great book for all of us yearning for more spiritual depth in all corners of our world.
Good content spiritually but the sense of humor that is supposed to draw you in just goes over my head and is hard for me to enjoy and made getting thru the book difficult because of it’s nonstop bad puns
