Meet Cute – When boy meets girl in a way that’s considered adorable, awkward, or amusing.
Screenwriter Britt Daniels is the queen of the meet-cute. From mixed-up cappuccinos at coffee shops to awkwardly intercepted text messages, Britt creates the perfect first meeting for rom-com movie characters.
Unfortunately for Britt, life doesn’t imitate art.
Or does it?
Hollywood heartthrob Luke Taylor is fed up with demanding divas and spoiled brats. He’s looking for someone simple.
Someone sweet.
Someone like Britt Daniels.
When he learns that Britt has a strict no-dating policy when it comes to actors, Luke takes it as a personal challenge.
Unfortunately for him, Britt’s immune to his big blue eyes and trademark charm.
Luke realizes it’s going to take more than Hollywood glitz and glamour to win Britt’s heart. He needs to be sincere. He needs to get creative.

I don't normally read anthologies because they are not long enough for me but for Sydney Logan, I will read all her stories. She writes the sweetest love stories around with a promise HEA. Great story
I love reading books by Sydney Logan. They’re sweet and romantic, sometimes with a bit of a cry in there, but they always leave me hopeful for true love.
This book explores the idea of the “meet-cute”: an adorable way for the romantic couple in a book or movie to meet. Screenwriter Britt Daniels is very sought after in Hollywood for the lovely and creative meet-cutes she comes up with. In real life, she’s not that lucky.
When she meets Luke Taylor, there’s an immediate attraction. However, she has a strict rule against dating actors, so she is quick to shoot him down. Luke, for his part, finds Britt a breath of fresh air and sets out to convince her to give him a chance.
This story is short and sweet, with an adorable second-chance meet-cute. And while I understand Britt’s reasoning, I applaud Luke’s determination and efforts.
There is definitely room to expand this story, and I’d love to see what happens next.
This Meet Cute novella was pretty cute indeed. Fun banter between the characters (not only the Hero and Heroine, but between them and the supporting characters as well.) He was witty and charming. She was smart and funny (not at all the 'poor poor me' type of girl.) She held her own. It's well written. Flows smoothly. Easy to read. The chapter headings were cute and unique too. There was plenty of humor. Totally clean and suitable for teens and up. Very quick read.. less than an hour. All round enjoyable lighthearted mini rom-com. :)
Wow. I think the only reason I docked it a star was because I didn't like that it was over so soon!
As it was, it's a super cute short story. H and h are both smart and hold their own. I loved the banter most of all, especially the funny text conversations between the two of them, but also with their mutual friend.
Fast, funny, HEA. I just really wish it had been a full novel - I would have loved spending more time with these three!
Meet Cute by Sydney Logan is a very enjoyable and delightful read. This short read is full of charm, humor and romance. Well written and very entertaining. Smart, likable characters, witty banter and an engaging plot. Perfect for fans of sweet romance, short reads and books packed with humor and charm. I am posting a honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
Meet Cute was a sweet quick read providing a little dose of happiness. The characters were fun and there was laugher and a little romance. The whole idea behind a meet cute is really sweet. This short story is written very well and Meet Cute is defiitely worth the read!!! I enjoy Sydney Logan's writing style and can't wait to see what she writes next.
This is a quick and fun read. I loved the 'meet-cute' between Britt and Luke, it was really sweet and fun. The two characters are very interesting, and the chemistry between them is visible from the start. I loved everything Luke did to break down Britt's barriers and finally get a date with her. I just wanted to have some more history about them. I recommend the reading.
Meet Cute by Sydney Logan was a great read. A meet cute is when a boy meets a girl in a way that is adorable, amusing or awkward. Britt is a screenwriter who is the best meet cute writer. Luke is a Hollywood Heartthrob who is hung up on Britt. I loved reading this book and cant wait to read more by Sydney Logan.
Oh my goodness! This novella was way past cute. Boy meets girl during a wardrobe malfunction, how fun! Even better when it is Hollywood heartthrob Luke meeting screenwriter Britt; who, by the way, does not date actors. It was fun, cute, and I loved the ending. Would love the meet cute ever after story.
This easily could have been expanded to a full book. But it was njce to get to read something in one sitting too. Enjoyed the characters and the fast pace this time around!
So why two stars for a story that was a definite meet cute? Well...
First and foremost, I thought this story was going to be a story. Not a short snippet or two. It felt like there was nothing to the story, to me. I sort of like the angst that goes after the meet cute part of a tale. I just didn't realize it was a VERY SHORT story, so I went into this expecting more than the initial meeting.
Second, it felt like the part that was there was VERY glossed over. Like a basic summary rather than the piece of story itself. I felt like I wanted more. It's a me thing, for sure.
I did like the "meet cute" moment. It really was cute. I would have loved the whole story rather than a moment or two. But then, I'm greedy like that, especially after the two main characters meet in such a ....lets go with...unique way.
Would I recommend this book? If someone is looking for something very short and cute to read...sure? I mean there really isn't much to recommend as far as story goes. I'd probably wind up telling the person the whole story while in the process of trying to explain it.
