I decided to read this book as I enjoyed book 1 so much. I usually find that book 2 in a series is never as good as the first one so I was expecting to be disappointed. I wasn’t. This book is every bit as good as the first, but for different reasons. Book 1 has two main plots whereas this one only has one, but has a number of sub-plots which work well with the main one. For me, there weren’t many surprises in the first book, but with book 2 I had no idea who the guilty party was, who was double crossing who or what was really going on. It is very well written in order to keep you guessing to the end. This is not your usual mystery book. A couple of the deaths are unexpected, but necessary to the story. Some characters are carried across and the author has managed to keep their personalities intact. This story enhances some of the characters rather than sending them in a different direction. I won’t say I couldn’t put it down, but I came close to not being able to. This is a really good book and I highly recommend it.

Never a boring moment.
I had never read a story which involves a motorcycle club, so that was one reason this book was interesting to me. This was a gritty crime thriller filled with action, suspense, and plot twists I didn’t see coming. I agree with another reviewer in that Blaze is sort of an anti-hero, but I kind of like that in a main character because that often comes off as more realistic to me, especially in this genre. I had no idea who the real villain was until near the end. The story was well-written with good dialogue and characters who had depth and flaws. It’s a good read without a boring moment in it.

Wow, this was a never-ending roller coaster ride. The plot twists kept coming until the very end. There is everything in this story that makes a wonderful action/crime novel, there is the mafia, corruption, murder, torture, crime and then there is love, friendship, and loyalty. Blaze is not your common hero, he has his darkness, yet he is fiercely loyal to the bone when it comes to his brothers. This book is not for the soft-hearted, but then again that's what makes it so real. There were so many things happening all the time that it was like watching a movie. Highly recommended.

Sinners and Scarecrows was a violent thrill ride full of action and surprises. If you've read the first book then you already know to expect lots of violence and swearing. That probably doesn't bother you or you wouldn't be moving on to the second book, but I always like it when reviews give me a good idea of what to expect so I thought I'd mention it. If that's your cup of tea, then dive right in because this story is action packed with complex characters and story lines that will keep you turning the pages until the satisfying conclusion.

Great follow-on from the first book "From the Shadows"
A wild rollercoaster of events that keeps the fingers turning the pages.
And how could you not have a soft spot for bad boy Blaze.
Eagerly anticipating the next book in the series.

Fast paced, twists & action throughout both books. Rich, rough & intriguing characters with great camraderie through ever sickening story line. Read now & get sucked into the world of Blaze and his SAC crew.

SAS part 2

Really good story, realistic but gorey. Blaze finds the rat and his biological father and gets revenge on them and the Lombardi crime family.
