Overall, I liked the story. However, I think it might have done better as a three-volume series because in the end everything was wrapped up rather quickly and in a perfunctory way. I would classify the end of the story as HFN, but I don't consider that a bad thing. Asa and Mitja have been able to work through their past to a certain degree, with the help of each other (and friends/family), but have not yet reached the end of their journey.

I particularly liked that they were always able to give each other strength and stick by each other, although the extreme codependency and escape into the other person (especially in volume 1) seemed unhealthy, if not unrealistic. The enormous fixation was expressed through a great deal of physical closeness and expressions of love, which may seem quite exaggerated to some, and I certainly wouldn't feel any different in another setting. Here, however, it showed well in my opinion how much they try to cling to the other in order to shut out reality. From the sound of it, you might wonder if they really love each other or if the relationship is just an escape from reality and they are just deluding themselves. For me, however, their love for each other does indeed read as very sincere and not just a means to an end.

*More of a 3.5*

I like this one a lot more than the first one although it was still a bit hard to follow. I appreciated Asa-chan and Mi-chan's relationship a lot more this volume. The way they talked about each other was pretty sweet. I also liked the short side story with Mika (I think that was his name?) and Eri.

I would like for this to get an official translation somewhere, because I think what really made it hard to read was the rocky translation. Although I don't think everything wrong is because of the translation there are some things that I think could've been more drawn out or better explained in general, but overall I liked it.

The codependent way they need each other is heart wrenching. How far they'll go to be together. They touch on self hatred, suicide, and abandonment. It's so real, so raw, so human. This ugliness, I love it! Oh, and the bonus chapter with Mika was totally worth it. Mika needed a little more screen time so it worked out perfectly.

Dude, I don't know why people didn't like this one as much as the first. I absolutely ADORED this second volume... WAAAY MORE THAN THE FIRST. This was everything. Seriously.

This manga had all the potential for me to love it, and maybe with a little more development it would have succeeded, but overall it was still good.
