New and freshly updated with pictures of all the top weight training exercises…and links to bonus videos.

Have you failed to get in great shape after weeks and months of going to the gym?

Do you lack confidence with weight training, feel too weak, or feel self-conscious about your current bodyshape?

Are you put off lifting weights because you don’t want to end up with the bulky, overgrown bodybuilder look?

No need to worry. This book is all about strength training NOT bodybuilding – and yes there is a difference.

It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting strength training, or have been hitting the gym for a while and are frustrated at not seeing any results. This is the essential guide on how to build muscle burn fat, and develop a lean, athletic, awesome body…instead of becoming a super-inflated bodybuilder.

I’m Marc McLean, author of the Strength Training 101 book series, and I help people like you become leaner, stronger, more confident versions of themselves.

It all begins with lifting weights, pushing yourself hard, and developing a rock solid body and mind.

I have more than two decades’ worth of experience in weight training and, as an online personal trainer, I’ve helped numerous men and women push their limits and achieve what they never thought was possible.

This book includes the strategies that I’ve seen transform people from being self-conscious, unfit, self-critical, unhealthy and weak…to strong, lean, confident, and achieving their goals in and out of the gym.

Strength training done properly goes way beyond building muscle and becoming fit. It boosts your self-esteem, strengthens the mind, gives you focus and drive, and has a positive knock-on effect on other areas of your life, from your career to your relationships.

Remember it doesn’t matter if you’re just starting strength training, or are a bit more experienced. If you’re unhappy with your results in the gym then Strength Training NOT How To Build Muscle And Burn Fat…Without Morphing Into A Bodybuilder can be a game changer for you.Click above to order your copy today.

Highly recommended for those who understand how to use weights & want to become stronger, not a muscle bound person who lives to lift.
In my opinion, the author using his own experiences (age 16 & 40 years later he’s still helping those in search of exercise.
Adds many useful features as how improving your brain is equally vital for a person to grow.
Explains how the habit of exercising permeates through out your whole life helping someone becoming a better person IE discipline, commitment & happier because If one sticks w/his program you succeed in taking care of your body. Once you’ve reached should an important goal, you realize you can reach other goals that had previously seemed unattainable...

Honest, Realistic Account of Strength Training.

Enjoyed Marc’s honest, realistic & respectful account of Strength Training, put forward with the reader’s levels of training,in mind.

No patronising “ Must do it this way” portrayals, that put most beginners or people returning to Strength Training ( like myself) off. It gives the readers the tools to be able to comfortably work at their own pace, consistently but with a structured goal in mind.

Loved the Mindset part of the book, very helpful, especially as my training is now a rehabilitation programme after a horrendous injury. We sometimes need that little bit of advice to know that we are going in the right direction & Marc has done that here.

Good for beginners

This book would be good motivation for someone just starting out away the gym who wants to start getting stronger. It even has some exercises and basic programming guidance that will get results if you stick with it. If you're looking for a real academic style breakdown of strength training I think you would be better reading Rippetoe's Starting Strength and Practical Programming books.

Ready to read again

I've been looking for a book that simplifies the process of weight loss and strength gain. At 71, the gyms and trainers all want to put you on a stationary bike or treadmill, then change your diet. Results?...none. I can't wait to rewrite my plan and make my focus weight training. As I've gotten older, the muscle I do have had gone. Need to skim through, rewrite my plan, and grind.

Incomplete

Seems like is just a typical book, not deep enough but it’s free.

Would i buy the other books? Nope.

Also is a bit confusing, drop sets and so on for a strength training? Don’t think so.

Good Intro

I like the message - that ripped isn’t necessarily healthy, and consistency is the name of the game. The book covers basic approaches and information, is easy to read and tough to beat the price. A good starter

Audiobook is not the best format for this, but the author does a great job with descriptions. Good training information, but links are not there to find the supplements (demos). Needs to have a pdf or active link as a supplement to really work.

The explanation about compound exercises was useful, but that's about it.
