Horrible Editing.

Maybe this was written by an AI program? Herein are tons of errors, from missing commas and apostrophes to missing and misspelled words.
It lacks world building. The lead character has not been developed since book 1.
No mas, Mr. Paul.

Yea! We win again!

Our hero Athena Lee is becoming a fuller character in this series of books. She and her pet/friend Wilson the AI seems to be able to fix everything. Even complete destruction. The author even has a little bit of fun while he is writing. The Falcon maneuver. Cdr Conrad, leader of the Blacksheep Sqn. These small jokes are little gems you find as you read.

Excellent

This book was so much better than the previous one. This is what military science fiction is all about, space battles, deceit, some comedy... all the things I want in a really good story.

Good Read!

This book brought back Athena but it now has more characters. It was all action in this tale. Pretty good but I still wanted more. Something is missing from the first couple of books. Still, I think it was another great book in the series.

I’m afraid this series is beginning to annoy me a little, having developed an extremely interesting character like Athena the author then gives her a bit part for most of the book. Without her to keep the series interesting the little annoyances become more irritating.

There is the battle for the space station and planet, so much of this just doesn’t work. The author seems to have forgotten that space battles are in 3D and you can’t hide space tugs and huge rocks behind another space ship when you can simple change the angle to see behind them.

Also some of the plots don’t make sense, why Han is allowed to get away with anything is bordering on unbelievable. In Athena’s own words ‘He’s the biggest backstabber that I know’, yet every time they think about checking on him they do something else. Athena even tells Wilson not to bother. Also many of the so-called businessmen were uncovered as criminals when the governor and his staff were interrogated and their records uncovered, why weren’t they being watched?

I have to stop.

I have read 6 of the 10 books in is series. While the story is fast paced it is too repetitive. When Athena gets in trouble Wilson miraculously gets her out or someone else does. There is such a thing as too much luck. The editing really needs work. There are many spelling errors or words spelled directly but the wrong word. Auto correct is not always correct.

Great

Simple fact this series has become one of the best I have Read in the past few years. The combination of old and new technology along with well fleshed out characters makes this a series to read over and over again. Lt. Lee's solutions to the challengers presented to her endears her as a character to enjoy trying to figure out the solution..

Military sci-fi as good as the Davids (Drake and Weber)!

Needs to turn off autocorrect. Too many grammatical errors, buy still a damned good read. Eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

Get on the Athena Lee train!

I've enjoyed reading about he adventures of Athena Lee but her surrounding cast has such memorable characters. I can't wait for more Athena but I also am looking forward to seeing more of the others.

Really like to give this 5 stars

Space battles, 20th century pop culture references, women using their brains and ingenuity. What's not to love (besides the misused apostrophes and words)?

Come for the action, stay in spite of the challenges understanding the text.

Athena Lee is an intriguing character and one of my favorites. She continually gets into danger but often with the help of her AI Wilson she is able to engineer her way out. I look forward to the next book.

A good story, but...

I enjoyed this series, the idea of an engineer and all of the plot twists were fun. I had hoped that the writing and the editing would improve. It hasn't, and it is now grating on my nerves. I won't be reading this series any further.
