This is the graphic novel version of P.L. Nunn’s Bloodraven novel. I won’t recommend to read this graphic novel unless you have read the original full-length novel of Bloodraven. You won’t understand the whole world building and the essence of the storyline since this is like excerpts from the actual novel.
This is only for the DIE HARD fans of original Bloodraven novel. there is a new scene in this graphic novel and the whole novel is basically about how Yahlen got captured by ogres and ended up being Bloodraven’s pleasure slave. The art is not only very erotic but also really brutal and violent. But again, if you are Bloodraven fan, you must have already known it from the original novel. This really is a collector’s edition for P.L. Nunn’s fans though. I only wish the art is in color and a bit longer. I can’t wait to read other graphic novels of hers. Call me impartial but I’m giving at least 4.5 stars to 5 stars for any of her books and arts. I really looooove her works! 💗💜💗
And major update and news for Bloodraven fans:
There will be more books after Bloodraven: journey home. I can’t wait to read more adventures of Yahlen and Bloodraven. They will always live in my heart. 😍❤️😘
This graphic novel starts at the beginning of Bloodraven and ends just after Bloodraven threatens to return Yhalen to DeathClaw after he refuses to give a BJ (😜).
It's black and white and very very graphic, which just makes me want to read Bloodraven all over again. Beware of people looking over your shoulder when you're reading this though 😜.
This was just great. I’m not really used to graphic novels. This is the second time I try one and the first experience was so awful that I was sure I wouldn’t try it again but this, the second time I try, has been completely the opposite. It was fantastic.
I’m impressed by the art. I loved how Yhalen and Bloodraven look like. I do think it might be a little hard to understand for someone who isn’t familiar with the story because there was few description of what was going on, other than Yhalen’s thoughts. It can be understand but maybe not get the whole story.
This, first and second time, is full of violence so, unless you know what you are getting yourself into, I recommend to consider if you are ok with it. It doesn’t advance too much in the story, I don’t think it even gets to the third of it but I already know what is going on, so I got to enjoy the art without being worried about what will happen to Yhalen. It was great.
