From the New York Times bestselling author Sandi Lynn comes a romance about dating in today’s modern world.EloiseMy dating life had been nothing but one failed relationship after another. If I were to blame, I’d own it. But it was always the fault of the men in today’s dating world and their bad behavior. When self-doubt and low self-worth began to settle inside me, I realized I was giving too much power to these guys by checking my phone a hundred times a day and wondering what I’d done wrong. It was time to take back my power, so I started a blog on what to do when men misbehaved and how women needed to take control. Then one day, by accident, I sent a nasty text message to the wrong number and immediately received this “Hello. Your text message had me in tears with laughter. You’re quite a little spitfire, and I assume your boyfriend broke up with you. If this text was meant for him, I’m sorry to say that he didn’t get it. You sent this by mistake to the wrong number. Thank you, though. You totally made my day.”We started texting each other every day. He was fun to talk to, and we formed a friendship. A friendship via text messaging where we didn’t even know each other’s names. He called me Digits, and I called him Mobile Man. I gave him advice on a woman he was pursuing, and he gave me advice on a man who was chasing me. Little did I know that the advice he gave was for his own personal gain.He was billionaire Christian Blake, CEO of the Blake Group in New York City—a handsome and sexy man who took my advice to reel me in hook, line, and sinker.ChristianIt all started when I received a random text message from an unknown number. When I replied to tell her she had sent it to the wrong number, we started conversing, which led to daily text messages back and forth. She quickly became a friend I wanted to meet, but she wouldn’t. She liked the mystery of us.I’d been pursuing Eloise Moore because the moment I met her, I felt a connection I’d never felt before. The problem was that she wasn’t interested in dating anyone because she was on a mission. I discovered, by accident, that Eloise was Digits, and I was completely shocked. Instead of telling her that I was Mobile Man, I kept it from her and continued our daily text conversations, seeking her advice on how to get the woman I was pursuing, AKA Eloise, to go out with me. When Eloise finally gave in, we started dating and became a couple. I needed to tell her who Mobile Man really was, but before I had the chance to, she found out, and my entire world crumbled within seconds.18+

#Delete concept 5+ stars!
Romance between MCs 2.5 stars
Overall 3.5 stars

I would recommend this book to every woman, #delete concept was delicious. Amazing!!!
I floved it. From ghosting to benching, zombie-ing and breadcrumbing – incredible smart!!!
Ladies, #delete all these losers!!!

One of my favorites:

”…if a guy really likes you or wants to get to know you on a deeper level, he will make time to do it. I don’t care if he’s held up in meetings from nine to five. It takes as little as thirty seconds to type a message and hit send. Does he not go to the bathroom all day? Does he not get a lunch break? What about when he gets home from work? If a man can’t take thirty seconds out of his busy day to say hi or that he’s just thinking about you, then he’s not thinking about you at all and it’s time to #Delete and stop wasting your time!”

#Delete - best dating advice I read this year!
BRILLIANT!!!

As to the love story between MCs – not quite my type of a romance.

Heroine was annoying AF.
Hero was a serial dater. She went on dates with OMs nothing happened with them and hero went on 1 date but nothing happened and set another date but he canceled it. First date was after he met the heroine and second cancelled date was after he had sex with the heroine.
Hero did the chase. Heroine did the pushing away.

Likeable enough characters as long as you don't mind an overabundance of winking and a slightly hypocritical heroine. A perfect story when you want a quick, fluffy read.

For me this one was just ok. I liked Eloise and Christian mistaken texts at first, it was only when Christian realized who Digits was that my feelings turned. I didn't like how he "worked" Eloise and knew she would be pissed when she found out. I was a bit surprised that they managed to work through things, but Christian got back in her good graces the right way, but going back to basics and just talking to Eloise.

3.5 stars!! I loved the premise of this one and it gave me a whole new vocabulary that I had never heard of. Sandi Lynn weaves a story about a womans worst nightmare when it comes to dating...ghosting, bread crumbing, benching and zombieing... to name a few. It was time for women to take a stand and Eloise is the woman to do it with the aid of her blog and a some research.

I must admit, I did find Eloise a little hypocritical but I loved her attitude and her reasons behind it. The romance aspect didn't work for me, I didn't feel any character connection and for me, just didn't believe in them as a couple. But as a premise, this was great and sent a great message to women who find themselves a fish out of water in the shark infested dating pool.

"It’s very important that you, as a high valued woman who knows her self-worth and standards, give the same investment as the man you’re trying to date does. If he’s giving low investment into getting to know you better, you give low investment back. Nobody is ever too busy, and if a guy really likes you or wants to get to know you on a deeper level, he will make time to do it. I don’t care if he’s held up in meetings from nine to five. It takes as little as thirty seconds to type a message and hit send. Does he not go to the bathroom all day? Does he not get a lunch break? What about when he gets home from work? If a man can’t take thirty seconds out of his busy day to say hi or that he’s just thinking about you, then he’s not thinking about you at all and it’s time to #Delete and stop wasting your time..."

Are you romantic? This book is for you. Are you single and you have a bad experience in relationships !! This book is for you.
# Delete is really a great concept to empower women to be more confident in their dating lives.
Eloise and Christian were so much alive and very easy to relate to and you can’t help falling in love with the characters.
This book is funny, romantic, just a good story to read.!!

This book is a prime example of why I have a fair amount of prejudice against New Adult genre.

The only reason I went into it was the social media angle suggested in the synopsis and the only reason it gets 2 stars not 1 is for introducing me to a whole array of modern relationship-terminology. You see, I am old and out of touch and don't have a clue so any education is welcome.

Weak, juvenile writing that makes most characters to across and sound as if they are about 13 years old. Everything and everybody has been simplified to cliches. I constantly had a feeling I had read the same book about 5 times before, that's how rubber stamped all the characters and situations were.

2.5 To be perfectly clear.

The start of the audiobook was okay; it picked up some pace in the middle, but then I got bored again.

For people who like the movie "You've Got Mail," This is nice, but I have to say the movie is funnier.

#Delete was original, fun and oh so sexy. You will fall for Eloise and Christian and all the characters in this book!

Eloise is fed up with the male species and how they treat women. She’s tired of being “Ghosted,” “Breadcrumbed,” “Benched,” and “Zombied” so she created a blog dedicated to helping women empower themselves and #Delete these men. When she meets Christian at a bar she knows he’s just the type of man she needs to avoid. She turns him down flat and is shocked when he turns out to be her best friends boss. Christian wants her and is desperate to get her to go out with him. The struggle is real and the attraction is hard for Eloise to resist. She can’t break the rules she’s teaching others. Or can she? Get ready for twists and turns that just may alter the course or cement Eloise’s decision about her take on men.

5 #Fantastic stars!! I couldn’t put this book down!

Liked a lot

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was slightly different than this authors previous reads, and the writing was pretty decent. Eloise and Christian were kind of perfect for one another!! And the biggest like was digits and mobile man. Loved their conversations. Great read!

I loved this book, it’s a bit ‘You’ve got Mail’ but it works. I really liked the characters Eloise and Christian and how they get to know each other. I guessed what would happen and as it was getting closer my anxiety levels rose 😂 which is the sign of being invested in a story I suppose. It’s an easy enjoyable read as these books are, I’m definitely enjoying Sandi Lynn’s books.

Really just couldn’t get myself into this one. I’m not one to truly dislike characters, but I absolutely could not warm up to Eloise. She seemed to me like one of those man-hating shrews who’s jadedness overshadows everything else about her. And who dates that much?! Lining up guys to go out on dates with every single night of the week at the snap of her fingers? But then turning around and saying how horrible each guy was? 1) who has that much time to date (or that much effort?) and 2) after all those dates, honey, maybe it is you and not the guy who’s the problem. Eloise just felt like one of those old college girlfriends who complains about all the guys who are obsessed with her to the point where you just want to punch her in the face.

I actually loved Christian though, nothing like the former bad boy finding the woman who brings him to his knees, and what girl doesn’t want Mr. Perfect to chase her relentlessly, no matter how much of a bitch she is (although probably not as realistic). I just didn’t understand what he saw in her, other than looks.

Anyways, I still love your books Sandi Lynn, and I will continue to read every one, this one just didn’t strike home with me.

“know your self-worth, set your standards, love yourself first, #Delete when necessary, and watch your life change.”

I m sure it not only applies to our love life, the daily life, the rest of the life too.

E n C, it can be another lovely couple like Black, in fact, Christian Blake is his name.

It’s little bit different from what she had wrote before, talking about ladies’ power, I get it n we 100 need it. Women deserve love, care, respect, we need independence. I don’t mind being stay at home mom, but mom needs her independence, successful business ladies need a guy, lady who care her, love her respect her decision.

It’s true and that we are ask for.

It’s a good book that men should read.

four years later, i read the book again, i am changing, so do my view, i found it not that good, strong lady but inside not that strong. sometime, everything perfect not the perfect. today is june 10, 2021

Not sure at what point the story went from good to only okay for me. While reading, in the back of my mind I kept finding little faults in Eloise's character, nothing I can really define but when she attends the Singles Mixer event in chapter 26 (being there for only research purposes) and her treatment of a man named Jack it made me dislike her and her holier than thou attitude. It started with his height comment and then moved to her interaction with him (or rather her distracted interaction with him). If I had been physically reading, I probably would have started skimming the story. I listen to stories in order that I can achieve other tasks too, so I let it play on. Even then it got to be too much bla and I sat down and skimmed the last 7 chapters.
I have had a number of reads of late that are tagged as humour and it has had me doubting that I have one (NOT)...nothing 'laugh out loud' in this story.

First off, this is the first and last time I read a book from this author. Secondly, Eloise LOVES using the word douchebag and SHE turned out to be the biggest douchebag there is. Her attitude comes off bitter and immature. I don’t understand what Christian see in her. She has absolutely no depth to her and the advice she gave a stranger was atrocious and insensitive. Also, the chemistry between Digits/Eloise and Mobile Man/Christian was lacking big time. They never said anything of importance when texting…very general and basic 2 second messages. This book was such a waste of time and had the nerve to be 47 CHAPTERS (ugh) insert eye roll.

Robotic

The h was incredibly annoying.
The internal dialogue was so robotic, there was a severe lack of showing real human emotion.
The H was ok, he sure have up his playboy lifestyle rather easily, especially for a young woman with the emotional maturity of a teenager.
Now let's discuss the suspend all belief moments; a part time photographer/blogger affording a high class lifestyle in NYC?! The ridiculous notion that she blew up into this huge success over her 'dating advice'?!
This barely made 2 stars for me, one chapter kept it up there.

2.5 stars - Good for a quick, fluffy read but not anything substantial.

For starters, the #Delete concept is awesome! I love that a lot of effort was put into this whole concept of what women should do to be empowered over men and take power back from the men that we give to them.

However, overall the book was okay. The main heroine was very hypocritical. Her whole concept was talking about how men are not transparent and use women, but then goes on a bunch of dates with other men for “research” under the guise that she’s actually interested. Using her ideology, that should be just as wrong.

As for the actual writing, some of it was good and it wasn’t like I had to stop reading at anytime. But what especially irked me was reading the dialogue. Many of the conversations felt like a high schooler’s writing where the author needed to get the plot points moved along with no extra character development or spice. They go from one topic to the next without really closing out or conversing around it, leading to choppy conversations. It felt very robotic and calculated, not how humans would actually talk. Also, only the main characters had any real personality built into their dialogue and it was very limited at that.

I also don’t like how the main characters just knew things. Like when the main heroine said that she knew Christian wasn’t making moves on her because of her five-date rule. Now I understand having a suspicion but downright knowing is just not true.

The romance between the MCs also felt underdeveloped. FMC was talking about not having sex with Christian for a little and then BOOM had sex with him when he made his first advance. Like ok, where is the feminism now? They didn’t really do much together before Christian was convinced that was his girl. She was kind of like every other girl? He was obsessed just cause she was pretty.

Christian (MMC) was also kind of strange sometimes. Speaking back on their first time having sex — I thought it was weird that even though it was quite obvious she was drunk (and Christian knew because he made comments about her drinking champagne so fast), he didn’t stop at all to ask her consent. I’m usually not one to push that non-consensual sex narrative too hard when the heroine is obviously interested, but it just felt forced, rushed, and out of character for Christian. Especially since she had told him multiple times that she didn’t want to date him and wouldn’t even give her number, so him immediately pouncing on her and having sex in a bathroom was weird. Also the way he immediately tried to shift the blame onto her for the Digits/Mobile Man thing was weird. “If you would’ve met mobile man this wouldn’t have happened.” Or something like that. Not a direct quote. Anyways, weird comment to make when you’re the one that messed up by lying.

All that said and I read the book in one day — whoops! It was an overall decent enough book but I’ve read better and think this author could do better. Great potential, especially with the #Delete concept!

Overall opinion:
The first 30% of the book was good and a solid 4-star read. The next 50% was interesting but moved very slowly and definitely felt preachy. We get it, treat people with respect and be honest and upfront about your feelings. The next 15% moved more quickly from anger, sadness and recovery.

The one thing that bothered me was the double-standard that the h had towards people who ignore how they treat others regarding the relationship status. It happens on both sides and it would have been good for the h to interview males that had been misled about a relationship status.

Brief Summary: No need to expand on the author's summary.

Best book ever

I have read all Sandi’s books and I have to say this book was my favorite. I even liked it better than the Forever Black but for different reasons.

The book reminded me of the movie You Got Mail because of the texting back and forth between two people who don’t know each other. Thats really where the similarity ends. This book was really sweet and romantic and sexy.

Not only was the book entertaining, it was informative and somewhat educational. I had never heard of any of those dating terms and I actually felt empowered after reading the book. I am going to encourage my daughter to read it because I think as a young 30 something woman in the dating world, she too might get something out of this book.

I think Sandi is getting better and better with her storytelling and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

IM SO MAD AT THIS BOOK! I’ve read some really bad books in my life but this one struck me somewhere and I couldn’t recover. This book is so bad Eloise is the worst kind of h. I hate everything about her WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS! Is freaking Christian didn’t do anything. Also they had no freaking chemistry and he just thought “wow this girl is great I literally know nothing about her but clearly I want to love her forever” GET OUT! And her friends also are the worst. Like wtf they are like “ew don’t date him, he’s a player” then the next chapter they are like “why are you closing yourself off to this guy when he obviously really likes you? MAKE UP YOUR MIND. I AM EMAILING AMAZON FOR MY $1.99 back.

This concept is kind of cute. The whole Sleepless/You've Got Mail retelling with texts. I think it would have worked if the writing was just a little better. A lot of the dialogue felt unnatural because they would say things so formally to each other. It had more of an email feel even when they were talking in person. I don't know if that even makes sense, but something was just not super smooth in the writing.

Also, just...I guess it's okay that everything was AMAZING and the best things that could happen to her happened because we want a really awesome HEA, but I just found myself cringing a little throughout.

But the #Delete thing was pretty cool. It was probably my favorite part of the book.

#Delete

Eloise was free lance photographer. She had her own blog about men. She wanted to find out what was inside a man head, what made him tick. She was going out with this guy named Luke. He was divorced, with a couple of kids. He was simply broken, string her along. He finally decides to cut him lose and deletes his number. So as time goes by, he tries to contact her, so she sends another message to him, but it's the wrong number. The guy she contacted ends up having conversations with her by texting. Everything about this story was insanity funny and really exciting to read. Oh my gosh I enjoyed everything thing that happened. One of Sandi Lynn's best stories. It had everything to become a sexy little, funny book! ENJOY
