This novel has a very graphic feel to to it and is full of blood and gore. THE RAVEN is a fast read, and although there are plenty of misspelled words, it didn't detract me from the story. This is a tale with many horrific demons mixed up with a woman's need for revenge.

From the first page this book was intriguing. Kept me interested. This book is not for the faint of heart. Has real life issues like demons, addictions, murder and rape. This book was a ten out of ten.

The Raven by Y.I.M.S. is a mesmerizing book that once picked up, is hard to put down! Y.I.M.S. is a powerful writer, painting scenes in your mind that are later difficult to erase. The novels mix of intense detail, criminology and supernatural lore, tend to give the book a very graphic novel feeling. I highly recommend the read to those seeking a marvelous haunting tale to unravel. I was left hungry for more, can’t wait to read what comes next…

I absolutely loved this tale of horror. Very creative plot and I loved the characters so much that I read it in one sitting. Unfortunately there are quite a number of printing errors in the book which should be corrected. Fortunately they don't detract much from the overall appeal of the book.

I received this book as part of a good reads giveaway but the opinions expressed are solely my own.

This book is about the relationship between Victoria Monroe and Poe. Victoria was brutally murdered and traded her soul for the solace of revenge. On her path to revenge, she goes from being a victim of abuse to become the abuser and goes on killing tons of people, resembling a lot like Poe, the heartless and evil creature that she made a pact with.

I usually don't read horror books, but this one was an exception. I read it in only four days, because once I started I couldn't put it down. It's a story about revenge with very strong content. 5 stars all around! And the ending is to die for.

I won a print copy of The Raven by Y.I.M.S. in a Goodreads Giveaway.

I did not have the reaction to this book other reviewers have shared. There are way too many mistakes to have made it into print. It appears to me that no one proofread this work prior to printing, and for me they were of sufficient number to impact enjoyment of the book. If that were the only problem with The Raven, I could get past it.

The story is one note; revenge for a brutal murder. Granted, revenge is not an unreasonable motivation for Victoria, but she experiences no growth or understanding as the story unfolds. She is a flat, one dimensional character, as is her compatriot Poe.

The story was choppy and disjointed for me. It did not build to a moving climax. The ending was ho-hum. Readers of my reviews know that I try to be positive, while being honest. I respect the work it took for this author to create this book, but I must maintain my objectivity and share my true reactions to this book.

Just so we're all clear, plagiarism is not cute and does not a good novel make.
This book is word for word, plot for plot, just a written version of the Manga Kuroshitsuji (Black butler) by Yana Tosobo, only with the name and gender of the main character switched.
This is not okay.
