A.D. Davies grew up in Leeds, West Yorkshire. In high school his ambition was to be a writer of horror novels, although in adult life he became an avid fan of crime fiction. He also dabbles in action-adventure.
After a long stint in an unsatisfying job, he attended the University of Leeds where he attained a degree in creative writing.
He is well-travelled, his favourite destinations being New Zealand and Vietnam, which have influenced his writing immensely, especially obvious in his Adam Park novel.
For now, however, globe-trotting is taking a back-seat to raising his two children and writing, although he hopes to one day combine all three.
He now resides in Staffordshire, UK, with his wife and two children.
To understand what drives Adam you must start with the first book. Adam and his long time girlfriend, Jesse, developed a spy bot that they can inject into any computer system, which allows them to track and find just about anyone. They use it for good. Adam Park is my kind of guy. He has a moral compass but is not inclined to listen to it all the time. He has become beholden to a Russian gangster, albeit, white collar but who has his fingers in all kinds of businesses. Villa Fanuco is not a nice man. Now he wants to get into the U.S. and is using Adam Park as his cats paw. Adam owes Fanuco for helping Adam out of a bad spot, so Adam feels that he is responsible for this one last job. Adam’s long time mentor Harry and Jesse have cut Adam lose over his ties to Fanuco. He needs their help in this case with the Irish and U.S. Russia ‘families’ but will they help him? This book is fast paced, intriguing in that you can’t figure out who the firebug turns out to be. The ending along is worth the read. I love the writing of A. D. Davies and have read everything he has written so far. Can’t wait for Book 6 and for the next book in his Alicia Friend series.
