This is the first book I read by Jen Williamson and it is a gem!! I just love it! It is so beautiful inside and out! I keep this book at my bedside and read one affirmation per night. I usually do a little meditation after I read the affirmation and the little passage that accompany's it. This little book just brings me so much comfort! I fall asleep with such a peaceful frame of mind. I feel wonderful just holding it because it's so beautiful. Also, it's a wonderful book to gift! I've gifted one copy already to a friend of mine. I also just finished reading the book Morning Affirmations by the same author and that one is just as special. I have left a review on that book as well! I highly recommend this book!
I found this at a time when I really needed it. Been having trouble sleeping, and this gave me something beautiful and positive to focus on each night. Jennifer Williamson has a lovely way with words. I had to skip all the pages that mentioned breathing (because part of my anxiety keeping me awake has been a sensorimotor obsession with breathing), but luckily that wasn't very many pages. I got this from the library and I know I'm definitely going to buy a copy so I can bookmark all my favorite pages and return to them when I need them.
This book is such a deep breath of fresh air, honestly. 200 beautiful phrases written with the power to vanquish all the troubles of today, and provide all the hope of conquering the battles of tomorrow. Reading this feels like that moment when finally, after a heavy storm, the clouds break and the suddenly all the world is still... And it couldn't have been written more beautifuly. Many beautiful self-affirming statements. Gives one the sense that they deserve to have a good night’s rest. Also stresses the comfort of letting go and seeing sleep as the ultimate care taker. Over the course of the repetition of the message I began to have trust that all is well even though my fearful, racing mind wanted to hang on to fear. It’s a good workout for the “letting go” muscle. Well written and uplifitng.
Everything about this book is soothing, from the blue book cover to the lullaby like words on each page.
I've only tried using it one day, and while it didn't send me directly to sleep, it did put me in a relaxed frame of mind, which can't have hurt at all.
I am hoping that regular use over time will subliminally let some of these message sink in.

I read it from start to finish. I am now looking forward to reading it again one affirmation per night. I found this book really relaxing. I was able to envision the messages that this book was giving me and I found myself feeling really content. I loved the layout of this book. It was easy to read and the instructions at the beginning were easy to follow. I also loved the addition of illustrations and colour that accompanied every affirmation. It made this book an insightful and eye-catching reading experience. I have read quite a few books with affirmations or spiritual guidance over the last few years and this is by far my favourite. I loved the way this book made me feel. I honestly don’t have a bad word to say about this book. I have already purchased multiple copies to gift to my friends and family. I love this sleep affirmations book in every way. It is beautiful to look at, beautiful to hold, and its inner beauty is just what I need to soothe my soul. It is a blessing to read at the end of a stressful day, and is also a great gift in the middle of the day when I need a few moments to balance and center.
