Strong Walking Dead vibes here. The end of the world is here and there's rotters around every corner.

This was a superrrr short novella that’s set in Walking Dead type world. Riley is punished by two brothers after she’s caught stealing.
It’s a novella of pure smut. Which is what I wanted and I really enjoyed it.
It was slow and got hotter and hotter as I kept reading. Harley sure knows how to write hot spanking scenes! The two brothers are both dominant but are still a bit different in the way that they are. I’ve never read double a$$ penetration before lol. 😏

This was the first book I read by Harley Laroux. Riley's Punishment was well written and fast pace. Riley was likable and just bratty enough to make her interesting. The spanking scenes were hot, and the brothers even hotter. Definitely a great introduction to Harley LaRoux work, I will be reading more.

I didn't expect the apocalypse theme, rotters, spanking, punishment,and sex to go together but it DID!
Riley is a brat through and through but she secretly or not so secretly enjoys the punishments. During the apocalypse while just trying to survive, she finds food and eats. But gets caught stealing from two older attractive brothers who have their own way of punishing her.
Will she learn to behave or keep acting up, talking back, and getting punished.

This wasn't my thing. I love the setting in a post apocalyptic world but it felt a little underdeveloped and like the world was rushed and confused. I wish it was longer to really give the world a chance to become fully explored.

I didn’t know I’d like this short novella but at the end, it got to me. I didn’t know I would be persuaded because the brothers were too hick for me & the cover threw me off but definitely 4 out of 5 stars.

A quick little read. I liked it. The only thing that bothered me about it was that they kept calling her Miss Riley even when they were having sex with her... not sure why it did.. but yeah it bothered me.

Riley stumbles upon an rabbit being cooked over an open fire and decides to take it to eat, but little does she know that the two bothers who caught her will give her one of hell of a punishment! Cyrus was great but Daryl was my favorite brother with his more rough natured personality.

I didn't like this one as much as the other Riley story. The FMC has the same name as the other novella, but it didn't feel like it was the same person..
I think i could've enjoyed this more if it wasn't in a zombie apocalypse where they are all in the wilderness... mainly because i couldn't stop thinking about how unhygienic it would have been LOL.

I love post-apocalyptic stories. I guess it’s the pessimist in me. I’ve always seen Man’s future more along the lines of the Road Warrior than Star Trek.
So, you can understand what attracted me to this story. Harley weaves a tale of the world ending not with a nuclear holocaust but with the dead rising and putting Man on their dinner menu. I’m not a big zombie fan, but I liked the premise. Sort of like World War Z, only where the zombies win at the end.
The story begins with Riley, our sexy protagonist, starving and desperately looking for food. As she freely admits, she’s no survivalist and knows absolutely nothing about hunting and trapping. Instead, she steals what she needs from other survivor’s camps and to hell with whether they survivor or not.
Real sweet lady, huh?
One morning she comes upon a rabbit roasting over an open campfire. She doesn’t see anyone around, so she grabs the rabbit and chows down.
Only, she’s not alone.
The rabbit belongs to Daryl and Cyrus Owens, and they’re not at all happy to find Riley devouring their meal.
Riley tries to charm her way out of a bad situation, but the Owens will have none of it. I loved that. I have known far too many women who can wrap a man around their little finger with an empty promise and a low cut dress. It was very satisfying seeing Riley get her comeuppance.
The Owens believe in harsh discipline and that includes a stern spanking or two.
Now, I like a good spanking scene and Harley knows how to spin a delicious one. Riley doesn’t take kindly to being spanked and puts up quite a fuss. Her kicking and screaming only adds to the excitement as the Owens dish out some well-deserved punishment.
Usually, there are only one or two spanking scenes in the stories I read. To be honest, that’s usually enough. I mean, come on, you can only tan her ass so many times before it gets boring.
Not so here. There’s lots of spanking throughout the story, and Harley keeps it fresh and highly erotic. A bit of light bondage helps keep the scenes so hot they’ll melt your panties off.
In addition to all the spanking, Harley throws in some incredibly hot sex scenes for good measure. The boys aren’t exactly gentle, and they certainly enjoy tormenting poor Riley, but she’s so horny throughout the story that she grows to like it. I liked that aspect of the story, too.
If you like stores where bratty little bitches are taught a stern lesson by domineering alpha men, you’re going to love this story.

Rotters are what Riley calls the zombies she’s outlived as she thieves her way south. When she’s caught stealing the limited supplies of two brothers in her path, they give her a choice: leave and take her chances on her own, or she can stay and take her punishment for being such a naughty girl.

I’m picky about Romance and Erotica, and I was hooked by the mere idea of this story. Zombies are not the focus, so if you’re looking for pure horror this isn’t it. However, Riley is in trouble. Rotters are a threat to the three characters, making their erotic interaction tense. I expected a zombie to jump out of nowhere in every chapter, though I think this would have ruined the mood lol. Not Riley, nope. Screw everyone else. She’s hungry. She’s tired. She’s dirty. She doesn’t care, and honestly, this is the most refreshing thing about her character. It’s a raw feeling of self-preservation.
And, what better way to make a thieving, pretty woman pay for her crimes than by tying her up for the brothers’ ever-present desires and needs since the collapse of humanity.
Everyone needs a little lovin’ during a zombie apocalypse, especially Riley.

So, this book is what made me consider Harley's writing "niche porn" - it's every zombie apocalypse ever, but kinky, and with lots of spanking.
It's quite a different thing to be used to consensual porn that has the mention of condoms in it, and then suddenly read a book about a character getting it in the ass because there are no more condoms - and no more good lube, either.
Riley is an infuriating character. She's a brat, like most of them are, but she thinks she's so sneaky when in reality she's just so. damn. stupid.
Jeez, girl. Get a grip.
Anyway, if you're into The Walking Dead but you also love your fiction kinky, definitely give this a try.
