Acta Muciorum is a second-year Latin reader for students who have completed A New Latin Primer, Cornelia, and Carolus et Maria. It is classical in flavor and well-suited as a bridge between the first-year readers in the series and unadapted Caesar.
Sudden jump in difficulty when we got to Caesar, but great Latin extensive reading! Not that it was intended that way- I think it'd be painful done by level 2 students 1 page at a time, as set up...
The skip from "intermediate reader" to Caesar was TOO big. I delayed reading the last chapters until I worked through Steadman's College Caesar and some of the other assists available online.
