Sophia wasn’t expecting to meet the man who will change her life forever. Cove Everton, with his striking features and opulent lifestyle, has a mysterious and illegal past that ties directly to Sophia's family. His dark secrets engulf Sophia, forcing her to choose between her first taste of love and emotional security, and her loyalty to her father.
Kidnapped, abused, and fearing for their lives, will Cove and Sophia make it out of Vegas alive? Or will they be prisoners in Paul Jameson’s mansion forever?
I felt like I was watching the movie "Clue". There were so many characters that hated Paul and wanted him dead. All kinds of secrets surfaced and what I thought I knew about characters was dismissed and I was thrown in a completely different direction. I loved all of the drama and Sophia and Cove's fight to stay together.
Cove and Sophia were trapped and powerless under Sophia's father's rule. They are forced to perform for the cameras but they never lost sight of what mattered. I actually laughed during a porn scene at Sophia's internal dialogue. Cove remained a doormat, but Paul's psychotic behavior explained why he was so submissive. Anyone would think twice before crossing Paul. Sophia becomes more brazen and finally stops running from her problems, even when the people she thought had her back have lied to her the entire time.
Although they got their HEA, I liked how the ending didn't end perfectly. Not everyone made up, nor was everyone forgiven for their transgressions. Sophia and Cove still had a long way to go in the healing process but Cove's family provided both of them with the emotional support they needed and Sophia finally gets the family she always wanted.
There were so many twists and turns, it kept you riveted. I loved it! Many secrets are revealed, the depravation of Sophia’s father is beyond comprehension. Karma is a bitch. Loved the ending.
I loved Cove through all f this series. Sofia, that's another story, at times she's so selfish and all should revolve around her. She went through things with Cove and her father for a while month, where as Cove went through Paul Jameson, for a decade. I can see where she's emotionally neglected her whole life and had to depend on her self, but I would have to slap her. I'm just glad Cove finally has a reason to finally wake up and be happy. I would recommend this series as this is my second time through. Don't forget to read: The Dark Scarlett Jameson Hotel For more Cove.
It's dark & twisted and dirty. But hey that stuff really does go on!!
Every character was involved in this book. Twists and turns and the big scene - it had to happen and it wasn't a surprise but who did it was a pretty big surprise.
Sophia and Cove, they are so dysfunctional at the hands of other but it works. Their relationship will be difficult but never dull.
A new definition of erotic thriller. Another fantastic addition to the NOVA series, although that name alone kind of digs into sensitive areas. Can't wait for the next book. Just when you think all things have been discovered...
I never write reviews but OMG!!! I have absolutely loved reading this trilogy and have fallen in love with the characters! Can't wait for the next book!! Can anyone recommend any other books like this??
Such a crazy story. It was nice to have a brand new plot. There was no telling how this was going to end. It was one that kept me guessing, and shocked every time I turned the page. Cannot wait to read The Dark Scarlett.
Loved it. It was so many twist and surprises. I read non stop. A must read trilogy. The best one I've read in a long time. It's hard to do a review cause I feel like I will give things away. I already recommended to a couple of friends.
There are no words for how much I love these books!!!! They are so good & completely unique & different. Love this writers style also. No overdone drama and dragging things out.
Paul Jameson is increasingly out of control: forces his daughter and Cove to practice live sex following the guidelines of the bidders, uploads images of one of his partners with the whore house which leads to the partner to abandon the house, Paul also sleeps with the sister of his partners and almost shot her... But finally between the mother of Cove, the shrink who is the sister of Paul´s partners and more family, they come up with a plan to stop him once and for all. Paul Jameson ends with a shot in the head and the police finally discover the whole truth about his company and Cove’s father is released from jail. Everything ends well but everyone who has suffered under Paul’s hands will be traumatized for life in my opinion.

This review is actually a re-read review. This trilogy was one of my first takes in to the world of Dark Romance. I then followed up this trilogy with the rest of this "world"...this world includes "The Dark Scarlett," "The Jameson Hotel Saga," and the "Long Shot Love duet." I've also recently seen and downloaded another book that falls in this world.
This go 'round I have only read the Nova Trilogy, but I guarantee, I'll be re-reading the rest again in the future.
I put 5 stars for this trilogy, but it is probably more like 4-4.5 stars. This is because the story was still great in my opinion. Still nerve-wracking, suspenseful, and hot....but some of the "dirty talk" just seemed a little childish. Sophia and Cove are in their mid-twenties...and given the experience that each of them have, I would have expected their dirty talk to be more than it was.
This trilogy has triggers. I'm always hesitant to list what triggers pertain to a book due to somewhat considering them to be spoilers...but for this one, I will mention that it does contain references to child pornography. Any scenes with this are of the person involved remembering what happened and explaining the past to the other person. The child in this is also a teen...not that that makes it any better by any means...I just wanted to mention that it is not a YOUNG child.
Now...with all that said...I definitely enjoyed this trilogy after reading it again. And I highly recommend it if you're a fan of dark, twisted, suspenseful romances.
Omg! Is this a book or a roller coaster? Wow. Sophia and Cove seriously can’t catch a break or find the cam amongst the storm. One thing for sure Jameson Industries has done serious damage to a lot of people. How can anyone trust in this story. Wow. However the love between Cove and Sophia is unbreakable. The see right through everyone’s BS. Love love love this series.
3.5 stars. I still think this is an excellent plot, it just didn't come together right for me. I never cared for or related to any of these characters and their emotions and actions continued to feel inconsistent, as well as unbelievable to me.
My personal opinions aside, I think this was an excellent attempt at a first book/series, and would recommend it to anyone less critical than I am.
really love series, kept me well entertained. Love Cove, he can be incredibly sweet, almost too sweet. He's a giving lover, incredibly sexy, smart, caring, overly dramatic, lil girly sometime, but thoughtful. Considering his situation, surprised he can be that. These dudes always have such rough starts.
I really loved this series, It kept me entertained all the way through and I love Sofia and Cove's relationship. I was a little disappointed at the ending but then I realized there was another book and it perked me right up. Hopefully in the other book we get a little more information about Mera because despite what happened I really loved her. Now I'm off to read book 4!
