My poses ain't anywhere near as graceful or balanced as the illustrations, but maybe someday. You haven't lived until you've twisted up like a pretzel and fell on your $%%, giggling like crazy because your muscles don't know what the ^&^% you are trying to do to them.
This is one of those books that is a great resource guide and a source of ongoing inspiration. I really appreciate it when authors are raw and honest about their bumpy path in life.

Beautiful and Inspiring

A beautifully put together book filled with lots of information that is both helpful and inspiring. Great for Yoga beginners or enthusiasts alike. A simple and effective way to help you change your life for the better.

One of the best practical books on Yoga that I've found and I've read loads! I love Nicola's friendly, chatty vibe and the presentation is beautifully done throughout. Very handy Yoga Poses Library for reference at the back.

Ich interessiere mich schon lange für Yoga, hatte mich aber noch nie so richtig heran getraut. Als ich dann dieses Buch fand, war ich ganz aus dem Häuschen, weil es nach einem sehr guten Einstieg in die Materie klang.

Leider weit gefehlt! Der Anfang zieht sich wie Kaugummi! Klar, man muss erst alles erklären, bevor man richtig loslegen kann, aber man muss es auch nicht übertreiben, was hier leider der Fall ist.

Dazu kommt die Vorgeschichte der Autorin. Ja, es ist schlimm für sie gewesen, aber ich muss und will nicht alles wissen. Ich will Yoga lernen und nicht die Gründe, warum die Autorin es macht!

Als ich dann endlich den langweiligen Teil beendet hatte kamen die Übungen. Ich hab mich schon gefreut, dass ein Link dabei stand und ich es mit Video nachmachen kann und nicht ständig ins Buch gucken oder es gar auswendig lernen muss.

Leider lag ich auch hier daneben! Der Link führt zwar auf ihre Website, aber es gibt nur EIN Video und das ist ohne Ton! Alle weiteren muss man kaufen bzw sich bei ihrem Yogaprogramm anmelden. Das erinnert mich an "InApp-Käufe", die keiner will...

Alles in allem ein Yoga-Buch mit Potential, wenn man nur die Übungen betrachtet. Ich werde auf jeden Fall dran bleiben und die Übungen weiter machen, weil sie doch echt angenehm sind, deswegen gibt es auch 2 Sterne, alles andere ist für die Tonne.

Schade, da das Buch doch einen stolzen Preis hat...
