For fans of Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun and Princess Jellyfish comes an all-new comedy about one man’s obsession with BL!
Ryo Sakaguchi has a deep, dark secret: he’s a fudanshi—a straight boy obsessed with BL. While he has trouble understanding how others don’t find the same bliss he does from his unusual hobby, that doesn’t make it any easier for Ryo to buy his precious manga from the “girls” section of the store, or any simpler explaining the world of boys’ love, shipping wars, and doujinshi circles to his best friend Nakamura. Will Ryo find other fanboys to share his hobby with, or is he doomed to sit alone on his throne of BL romance?
Still hilarious, with plenty of visual and verbal gags. The author respectfully satirized and employs the tropes of romance and the yaoi genre to great effect. I highly recommend this series to anyone who needs a good laugh; it is also extremely rereadable and holds up even when you know what punchlines are coming.
I feel like this is the best volume in the series so far in this Japanese high school comedy about a Fundanshi (a guy who likes BL and isn't gay).
I feel like so much happened in this volume. There are all these people Ryo is set up with that could be possible love interests and it seems like he isn't into anything but reading his BL. It does make for humorous moments all around.
All the gang goes to a BL convention and helps sells some Manga. It has some funny moments. We get some back story for other characters. The series really got a lot better. It's refreshing.
There is one more volume. I'm interested in how this will end.
