Thirty and single? Well, getcha ass to the Gathering! Wait...what?
Lorelei is a hint over 30 - nobody better ask how much of a hint - and isn't sure why the hell she's been magically hauled to the land of werewolves. But she has. Which sucks. At least they stole her while she was at the gun range. Go Pink Pistol of Doom! So, they stole her, she stole a cell phone in return, and all is crazy in her new werewolf-laced world. It gets even crazier when, one - she discovers her sisters have been kidnapped, too, and two - werewolves are sexy as all get out. Lorelei is determined to come to her sisters' rescue and, well, see what Dylan and Zeke have to offer.
Dylan and Zeke can't believe they've found their mate. Even though word was passed around that Wardens can have mates, they never thought they'd find theirs. And, yet, here she is. Lorelei - gorgeous, lush, and curved in all the right places - calls to their magic and heats up their wolves. They want to lick her from head to toe...together. And they will, once they get that little gun out of her hands. Hell, maybe she could keep it. She is sexy even when she threatens their lives.
They found her and now they're gonna mate her...as soon as they take care of the powerful five families threatening to take Lorelei from them. Blood may be involved. Sucks to be those guys.
Lorelei, Dylan and Zeke, very good threesome in a deeply emotional tale. This was a bit longer than the first books in these two series. Loved it. The characters were deep, thought-filled, and had an interesting story, with terrific development. I loved "D" and "Z" !! Awesome alphas, great for her and for each other. I liked that they went forehead to forehead to calm each other down, so in tuned to each other. Wonderful. Powerful. Deeply emotional. She was strong yet sweet. I was glad there was less of the bratty sisters in this one. Fast moving, full-bodied writing with true feelings. Super hot sexiness and every other reaction of twists and turns were delightful. I really, really liked this one. Looking forward to the series end in "Paisley." ENJOY !!!
Lorelei is book five in the Alpha Marked series by Celia Kyle. I love reading a good ménage and CKyle knows how to write them. Even though this series started off with little meat. It has gotten better the more I read. I love the covers and blurbs for these books.
Lorelei, human also warden born, but she does’t know this yet. I love her bravery. She hides, but at the same time takes everything in her environment in. She learns what she can and faces down a Hot Alpha wolf with a pink hand gun.
Dylan and Zeke, Warden pair. These two sexy alpha male werewolves will do anything to protect their fated mate. They never thought to have a mate, but boy do they show their protective side as well as their sensual one.
I enjoy the world CKyle has created. The different types of wolves and women. I like how each character has a different personality and that each group of alpha or warden pairs complement each other, then add in their fated women and it’s a great match. It's refreshing! The sex scenes are Hot, Sexy, and Steamy! The plot is small, but still engaging enough to keep the story going.
I can’t wait for Paisley book in the Alpha Marked series. Lorelei was a fun, quick, and sexy ménage. I loved it!
This is another great book in the series!! This gives us a deeper look at the Warden Born. There is also the whole thing with the five families to explore.
Lorelei is a kickbutt chick! She finds herself in a strange situation and looks for ways to survive. Although I did think it was interesting she automatically assumed she was in danger. Loved her sassy attitude!! She is another curvy girl with a great body image, and the fellas love it too!
Emmett and Dylan are very different styles. Emmett is low key shabby type, while Dylan is all polished business man. Yummy contrasts make a perfect pair! Oh when they go all Alpha, sigh.
The steam is deliciously naughty as always. Plenty of hawt detail to spice things up. Have a cold shower handy!! This is a full menage mating, so expect two guys at the same time.
I really enjoyed this book but Lorelei's past and reasons for getting into self defence are vague. We did not get full details of the event that propelled her in that direction. I thought it would have helped in understanding her motivations.
It is a mixed narrative, so you get all the leads POV. I prefer this style because it gives a more well rounded read.
The end was a touch abrupt, but leaves a thirst for the third sister's story!
If, like me, you don't mind two guys at once and are fine with them occasionally sprouting fur and fangs, you will love this book. Wait, now that I wrote that down, I totally sound like a pervert. Surprisingly, I'm fine with that because this series is awesomesauce.
As always with Celia Kyle, this book is well written with lovable characters, a good story line, kick-ass women, and lots of fun.
I will now be patiently (snort) awaiting the next book in the series while hoping that they have more cousins to pop up. Second cousins thrice removed... whatever... anything to keep the series going.
I actually have nothing but good things to say about this story. It is by far the best one out of the series -- for me. I loved the depth of the story and the drama with those who are trying to eliminate the alpha marked (or who they think are alpha marked) sisters. The story was fast paced and sexy but not overly so. I appreciate that more time was given to developing a deeper story and connection between the characters. I thought it was very well done.
Great read if...you like PNR, short reads, sexy reads, MFM (as in no man on man touching), humor, insta love and an HEA.
Side Note: This woman was awesome! Not a weak bone in her body and some of the stuff she says brought me to tears! I liked these two men too, again, good balance and appreciation for their woman and I definitely think that is amazing. I know that there's only one more in the series and it kills me we have to tell these women goodbye soon!
It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye I love the blog posts and text messages at the beginning of the book. They are so hilarious and really set the tone for the high intensity situations that come after it. The author really brought us the perfect set when she put these three together. The guys need Lorelei to give them love and she needs them to give her comfort. I love all of the cousins, they are so strong and resilient. I can’t wait to see what happens with the last cousin. Hopefully she gets her HEA.
The only complaint I have is it was to short, I wanted more. I love the world Celia Kyle has created with the Alpha Marked series and you gotta love Fluffy Fierce Women with attitude and the strong Alpha Males that love them. Lorelei is the 5th book in the series and picks up right where book 4 leaves off. It also leaves you wanting more and anticipating the next book in the series. It's a must read.

Merged review:
I was given an ARC for a honest review.

Lorelei is another cousin to the sisters, and had no idea about werewolves. She was transported to the Gathering and is a Warden Born, and her mates are Zeke and Dylan. But the bad guys are after her and her sisters to eliminate them. But her power is going to save her and Rebecca.
This is a shapeshifter Menage book, this is the fifth book in the Alpha Marked series. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend you to read the whole series... it is the one of the best series I have read. I simply love all the curves and attitude involved, not to mention all the sexy werewolves involved. This is for adults only, especially not the weak hearted, there is some heavy "petting" going on in this book. Every book has strong willed, head strong women and Lorelei is the perfect woman for this series, but she is not prepared for this weekend escaped. She makes this book a hot wonderful mess and I can not wait to read more about her and her sisters.
This is Lorelei's story, she is gun holding, no filter, hot mess with fabulous curves. She is confident and very protective over her sisters. Now to figure out how and why she ended up in this hotel in the first place. She is not to pleased, well... maybe she likes those green eyes that makes her heart go pitter patter, not to mention some other tingling going on. Now again to find her sisters and get out of here. Lorelei doesn't mind pointing her pink, yes pink gun and demanding answers. And she will not stop until she gets... wait who is the other guy? Wait, they both are yummy. At least Dylan and Zeke are more than willing to help her in anyway possible, she has to find her sisters.
Dylan and Zeke are Wardens who never thought they could have a mate, much less find her. They want her, need her, but she is hell on wheels and that pink gun seems to prove her point. First they will help find her sisters, and take care of anyone who is out to harm her. Then they will mark her and all her delicious curves theirs. Will they find her sisters before anything devastating happens? Can they keep her safe? Yes they can and they will.
favorite passages: "Good news is quite a few furballs found their mates!" "HBIC: Head Bit** In Charge~" "Nice. Add low blood sugar to her ball of Fu**ed-upped-ness." "Yes, she was one curvaceous package that he'd like to unwrap-when she wasn't holding a gun to his head." "Sometimes his animal wasnt the brightest crayon in the box." "Stupid hot bast**ds making her want them in very dirty, naughty ways." "They're yours and you can make it beautiful if you let it." "If the Wickhams were anything like the Twynhams, it was a miracle they hadn't ripped anyone's head off. Metaphorically speaking." "I love you. More than the moon." <3 "Ouch. Ew. Fix. Boom-bang." "It wasn't a half-hearted promise, it was a soul binding vow."<3 "She trained-ish for this, right?"
Overall: Lorelei has been hiding behind a big bush at a hotel where the werewolf gathering has been going on all night. She was at a gun range teaching a safety coarse when a black hole sucked her threw and she landed at a posh hotel on top of their roof. On the way down she steals someone's cellphone and has been trying to plan a way to escape without anyone noticing her. Zeke realizes that he lost his phone, so he uses Dylan's phone app to search for his, but when he finds it he is surprised to find out that his future mate has it. After he coaxing her out of her hiding spot with promises of seeing her sister Rebecca he is able to get her up to his room, to meet his partner. After a few minutes of being there, the end up touching and immediately Lorelei goes to feeling a lot of pleasure to a whole lot of pain. Whitney and her mates are able to step in and try to help save her and luckily the can. After this point a mad man is after the sisters and he has caught Lorelei and Rebecca's sister Paisley and the other Wardens looking for her need her blood to find her. That also leads them to leave a trap for the bad guys, that almost ends badly because of the blood magic that the bad guys use. In the end. that get some information on where Paisley could be and Lorelei, Dylan and Zeke get down to mating and having their HEA.
Pros: I loved that Lorelei was a pink gun welding wild one. She was tough and didn't take shit from no one, not even her mates. I also really liked Zeke and Dylan as a Warden Pair because Zeke was laid out & chill and Dylan was the buttoned up, business type. They really seemed to balance each other out and make Lorelei a better person.
Cons: I just wanted the story to be longer and I wish there was better background information on the trio. Other than that I really enjoyed the story.
How does Author Celia Kyle do it! She always has me completely consumed while I devour her latest release. I absolutely adore this woman. She writes some of the funniest, ballsy, and take no cramp leading ladies, while pairing them with some of the yummiest alpha’s on the planet.
I did give this one 4 of 5 hearts because I felt it started off with such a great bang, but didn't quite keep it throughout the entire story. I wanted more of the guy’s backstories and for them to have harmed the wardens who pulled more from Lorelei than they should've.
This book takes off right where the last one ends with everyone searching for Lorelei. Little do they know that Lorelei has already met one of her mates! I was rolling as I read her inner ramblings. This girl is hilarious. Poor Zeke had to go toe to toe with Lorelei and her little pink pistol! This scene is one of my favorites in the book. Zeke had to convince Lorelei to go with him to find her sister and cousins.
Zeke Roberts and Dylan Clarke just found out there is a possibility to actually have a mate the day before and now they have met Lorelei. She is the spitfire they have been looking for. She instantly puts her boys into their place form the moment she meets them.
Lorelei had no clue werewolves existed let alone that she was meant to balance out such a strong duo. Lucky for her boys they have Whitney to help them out.
I loved watching how protective, loving, and sexy Dylan and Zeke could be all at the same time. These boys almost ripped a few were’s to shreds. And I am curious if they will follow through with their threat once Paisley is found. I am really hopping they get to.
I love this series if you cannot tell! Each installment has me laughing out loud one minute and squirming the next! I cannot wait for the next book!
The fifth in the series features Lorelei Twynham, cousin to the Wickham sisters, being transported to the Gathering and meeting her Warden men, Dylan and Zeke.
The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between
-funny shifter romance series: I’ve been reading these since the beginning, and I like the heroines and their humor, and the possessive/protective Alphas in this world. Ms. Kyle has an overarching storyline going on with the Wickham and Twynham sisters and the Five Families’ quest to hurt them for their interference in the way the Gathering is conducted and revealing that Wardens are allowed to have mates.
-Lorelei’s got a (pink) gun: She’s very much in line with earlier heroines. She’s not necessarily insecure about her looks, she’s more concerned about protecting herself and those she loves and being strong enough to defend herself. She was attacked years ago, and she refuses to be defenseless. I liked her.
-Dylan and Zeke are typical Alphas: Dylan’s tailored clothes and Zeke is ripped jeans and Chucks, but they’re very much in form as Warden Alphas.
-Ok, so it’s a formula: You either enjoy the formula or not, but there is definitely one here. Heroine meets alpha duo, sparks fly, some doubt, and then hey! it’s a menage with DP. It’s all MFM. For me, I don’t mind a formula as long as it’s done well. I know what I’m getting and I like what I get. Lorelei and her men take a backseat to the overarching story a bit but the big beats are done, and I am interested in seeing how they save the final Twynham sister, Paisley.
The Bottom Line A funny, quick read that features a BBW heroine and some hot werewolves. If that’s up your alley, I think you’ll enjoy it.
I enjoyed Lorelei by Celia Kyle. It is the fifth installment to the Alpha Marked series. It does not need to be read in chronological order. Lorelei has found herself dropped into a world that has her doubting her sanity. It doesn’t help when she learns that her sisters are also at risk. She takes steps to protect them only to find her life changed in ways that are not only painful but in which she is woefully unprepared. I loved that she put on her big girl panties and did what was necessary to protect not only herself but also her sisters. I loved just how mad she was upon learning that her family not only lied to her but also endangered her sister. I also enjoyed Dylan and Zeke. They never expected a mate and they received a strong one. I loved that they battled their natures in order to allow Lorelei to be true to herself. Ms. Kyle showed us how painful it was for them to support the woman who has taken their hearts. I loved that even as this story added to the overriding story arc, Ms. Kyle did not skimp on the growing relationship between Lorelei and her men. I am such a fan of Ms. Kyle and I was reminded yet again why that was with this story.
I so love this series, Celia Kyle delivers hot, sexy and sassy with curvy women and gorgeous males. wardens never went to the gathering but since the Alpha Marked has done so well, and the last wardens pair found their mate, Dylan and his partner attended not sure they'd find a mate but figure it wouldn't hurt.
Well as fate has it Lorelei is just dropped in the gathering not knowing and getting a serious lesson in what does exsist. Armed with a pink gun, she confronts a drop dead sexy male that makes her body heat up.
Dylan has a past thats not so rosey his need to have something to call his own, keeps his heart heavy and when he meets his mate, he has a hard time controlling his wolf. Zeke and Dylan will have to get a grip and be the males that Lorelei needs or watch her die in front of them.
I just had a whole lot of fun with this book, the entire series full of sass and grits hot sexy scenes that have you fanning your face. Mix in some mystery and danger you have a great story that you will enjoy, not only the story but the characters as well.
This book is short, fast paced and action packed. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. Lorelei is book five in the alpha marked series. I liked that Lorelei is related to the Wickham sisters and is Rebecca’s older sister. I liked Lorelei’s attitude and mood. She was determined to escape the gathering. I liked Zeke and Dylan. I liked their love and possessiveness of their mate. I did see some chemistry between Zeke, Dylan and Lorelei. But as the danger in the story was so focused on, I was left wanting more. I wanted to see more of Dylan, Zeke and Lorelei as a trio. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an entertaining read.
Ok so before today I read the first 4 books in this series. I'm not sure why I waited to finish the last two but yesterday I hit a lull between New book releases so I'm reading my library. So I started the series last night and I'm in love with Scarlett! That girl is a hoot and a half. I love her emails, text messages, and general notices to the Gathering. Ok so this book is the story of Lorelei, Scarlett's cousin. After the last book we found out about the Warden Born mates and it turns out that both Lorelei and Paisley are Warden Born.
Really didn't enjoy Whitney or her posts HBIC, luckily this bk wasn't about her, but it was still OTT, with all the characters in no way realistic (emotions, dialogue & actions etc), & the story almost non-existent. The only interesting bits were the erotic parts, but since the novel is only 164 pgs long, there aren't many & they aren't long. Also, I have a little recommendation to whomever is responsible for choosing the cover: if the female characters are portrayed as 'curvy', either have ‘curvy’ cover models or NO female on the cover at all please.
These books are really really funny! The women are strong and snarky and totally kick ass! Plus you get the alpha yumminess of a pair of wolves for each gal. Sure, things get squishy and a bit bloody, plus the amazing magical moments, but it all comes together in an amazing series of standalone books that are very entertaining.
There's nothing to care about in the story. It never gets past the hormonal mating thing. Who are the people in the story? She never says. Lorelei goes from freaked out and clueless, to uber-magic wielding-mate-me chick in a few minutes. Really?
To much backgrounds nonsense going on. Its too melodramatic we need to find the sister. There is forced unnecessary action like the author thought oh I need to put it there wolfs . but not romance oh they just click and not erotic.
I loved this one very much. I just hope there is more to come. If you enjoy reading shapeshifter menage and romance then this series is the one for you.
The second of the Twynham sisters has found her mates. Lorelei was living her life when she got sucked into the magic vortex and deposited at the gathering. Her mother and grandmother have hidden not only the existence of wolf shifters from her and her sisters, they have hidden the alpha marks and what they mean. So poor Lorelei is finding out about shifters the hard way. Until she runs into Zeke, who is looking for his cell phone, that Lorelei has pilfered. He recognizes his mate and manages to get her to his room to meet his warden partner, Dylan. Now, how to convince Lorelei that her future lies with them?
Ok, I’ve kinda ragged on this author in my previous reviews, but I have to say that I absolutely LOVED this book. I think part of it is the absence of Scarlet, other than the opening chapter. The dialog is so much better than any of the other books. The overarching storyline is moving along and I find that I like the Twynham sisters so much more than the Wickham ones.
Zeke and Dylan are EVERYTHING. There were some very touching moments between the three of them. I just felt so satisfied at the end of this book. It’s the first one in the series that I didn’t want to end. I want to see this trio get back to their pack, have babies and live their lives.
I highly recommend this book. Sure, the series too, with the caveat that the first 3 books will likely make you cringe. But worth it to get to this gem.
General Synopsis: Unlike their Wickham cousins (Scarlet, Gabriella & Whitney), Rebecca, Lorelei & Paisley Twynham know nothing about The Gathering, of being "Alpha Marked," "Warden Born," or even that werewolves exist. Lorelei is freaking out. Yesterday, she was shooting her gun at the gun range until a huge black tunnel appeared and transported her to a hotel. With werewolves. After hiding and sleeping behind a potted plant, she decided to check the cell phone she "borrowed," but the text messages she reads just freak her out more. She has to find her sisters, get out of here, and away from the craziness. Warden Zeke Roberts is looking for his lost cellphone, but what he finds is so much more. Now he just has to get his mate to stop pointing her little pink gun at him and have her meet his partner, Dylan Clarke. What better way than to tell her he'll take her to her sister, he just won't mention the little detour on the way. Warning: This book does contain M/F/M sex.
Personal Opinion: I have to be honest, this part of my review was also set for Scarlet, but it has been changed a little here and there, so it's up to you if you would like to read further.
I actually read this book a while ago. I am a big fan of Celia Kyle (to the point where she has her own shelf on my Kindle ✌(-‿-)✌). But here's the thing, I was looking for titles to fill out a reading challenge I am doing and one of the things I looked for was books I have read, but have neglected to review. It's like two birds one stone. Problem was, on goodreads, it listed a number of Celia Kyle's as unread, so I was pretty shocked and decided NOW, I HAD to read these books again & not just for the challenge.
As I mentioned in the general synopsis, this book features a ménage à trois, a romance between M/F/M. I know some readers are hesitant to read this type of book, so that is why I put that under the synopsis, even though I think from the cover alone, it is pretty obvious.
The story itself is very short, and is a very quick read. That being said, I would like to say there is more to the story than just sex, but it should also be noted for the story line to progress, you need to read the remainder of the books in the series, since to be it is one big whole.
As I mentioned in a previous review, I was happy when Ms. Kyle continued the series, allowing us to find out more of what is going on in the "Alpha Marked" world.
I guess there are a couple of things I have taken issue with, the first I will elaborate on, but the second I might or might not talk about in the next review, mainly because it will spoiler the book for you, which I would hate to do. After all, I'd love for you to READ the book! But you know, after if you have the same thoughts as I do, maybe you could drop me a line and we can commiserate together, without spoiling it for other fellow readers. Anyway, food for thought.
Now to my first issue . . . THE PINK GUN! I know it was for comedic effect, I know it's cute and girly, but honestly?! Am I the only the one who takes exception to this?! REALLY?! I mean if I am afraid someone is going to hurt me and I get a gun for my personal protection, I do not want the person attacking me to think I have a toy gun or worse one of those water pistols that look like a real gun. I want then to take notice & back the F off!
Lorelei is Rebecca’s eldest sister and she was summoned to the Gathering and is as lost as her sister was on book 4! She is a warden born and she has no idea about the werewolves world but she is brave and fierce and just who Zeke and Dylan needed to complete their warden pair. This book was a much more tense reading for me than the others but I loved the new characters and I am always glad to see the old ones!
She didnt even know existed Lorelei is hiding with a stolen cell phone and a gun she had on her when she was sucked in to the gathering. Luckily Zeke finds her...and immediately knows she is his mate...well his and his warden partner Dylans...but not knowing what could happen could hurt them all. Especially if they cant find her sister.
This book was ok. Like the previous book in the series, there was no telepathy. This story agitated me more. I kept thinking why are these people expected to sacrifice so much more and why do you keep trying to keep them apart. At this point I am finding Scarlet for book 1 to be a bitch and annoying. On to the final book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. (Audible Membership)
Imagine being on a shooting range doing a safety demonstration, then a black hole transports you to a foyer, where people and wolves move around each other in ease. Who do you trust? Where do you go? These are just a few of the questions answered in this entrancing tale.
