Joel and I have the perfect relationship. We can talk about anything. We spend hours on the phone, texting and doing all things a couple does. Except, we haven't even met.
It all began with an accidental phone call in the middle of the night. Now, my mystery caller has turned into my secret love and still, we've never exchanged photos...until now.
A New Adult romantic story about dating in the modern world.

~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~ This one was an OK cute for me. I thought the writing was pretty decent for a debut novel. That said, there were also a couple issues with it that affected my rating. One, it took WAY too long for them to actually meet in person (halfway through the book) and, two, there was too much cliché OW and OM drama. Still, the premise was cute (although I have seen WAY too many Criminal Minds episodes to find it believable that anyone with half a brain would continue to converse with a strange guy that calls them at 3:45 am.) But I digress...the pace was a bit odd for me. I thought the first 50% was slow and a bit boring. The back and forth texting got to be a bit much, and I found myself wishing the author would hurry up and get to the real life meeting between these two characters. The last 50% seemed a bit rushed, and some things took place that just seemed a bit pointless. Last, it was all wrapped up in a sweet two years later epilogue.
~HERO~ JOEL...I liked Joel quite a bit. He was 21. He was a manwhore. He sweet. He was driven. He was funny. He was witty. He was a decent hero.
~HEROINE~ LEONIE...I really liked Leonie for the most part. She was funny. She was sweet. She was feisty. She was a good friend. That said, there were a couple times that her behavior left me scratching my head. I'm chalking this up to there being things thrown into the plot that just seemed to come out of left field and go nowhere (I am specifically referencing the scene where she finds out he is rich and had a totally made NO sense freakout).
~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~ There really were not a lot of secondary characters in this one, but I really like Leonie's BFF Amaya and Joel's roommate Levi. I wouldn't mind seeing a book(s) featuring them.
~HEAT LEVEL~ LOW. It took forever for these two to actually have sex (80%) and then there is maybe only a couple mildly erotic sex scenes.
~ANGST LEVEL - SEXUAL HISTORIES~ LOW. I didn't find this one particularly angsty. From the first text, these two are fairly solid (as friends to start with). There are a couple bumps in the road, but nothing that lasts long or causes much angst. My main issue with this one and why it lost some stars was the pointless OW and OM drama. The OW drama being the more pointless of the two. I am not sure why we needed scenes of the hero's ex f-ck buddy rubbing up on him (and him getting hard) on more than one occasion. Especially since she just goes POOF as soon as the two main characters meet in real life. The OM drama served a bit more purpose, but again, if I am being honest, didn't make a whole heck of a lot of sense. Neither were virgins. Like I said the hero seemed to be a manwhore, and it is never specified if he slept with any OW after the mistaken text or not. It was "MY" feeling that he hadn't. The heroine goes out on a double date with an OM after these two had been texting a bit, but her ex causes trouble and scares the guy off.
~IN THE END~ I liked it. Did I love it? No. Was it a decent read for a debut? Yes. Would I give this author another chance? Yes, undoubtedly. Therefore yours truly is going to give this a thumbs up.
On a side note, I never felt like this couple had long-term staying power. I *think* the author made their chosen careers so...I dunno...lofty? I am not even sure lofty is the right word...maybe grandiose? Anyway, the heroine wanted to work for the UN Human Rights Council and the hero an investigative journalist. Both pretty hardcore jobs that would require a lot of time and travel <--- and YES, I know I am WAY overthinking a romance book, but I was left feeling that at some point this couple's career goals were going to kill their relationship. (lol).
On his way home, Joel dials a telephone number of a woman he met that night. But it’s the wrong number, and that’s how he meets Leonie. Leonie and Joel have a pleasant and long conversation. From that moment, they text or talk on the phone regularly. Both of them trust each other and they love talking to each other, but they still agree to never meet up in real life nor tell each other how they look. One day, they will meet each other in real life and they like each other even more then.
Leonie is sweet, caring, hardworking, feisty and driven. She’s a busy woman with school and work, but she’s a woman who knows what she wants for her future. After Leonie’s first phone conversation with Joel, she’s happy that she picked up her phone even though she was sleeping. She doesn’t have time for a relationship, but she finds time for Joel.
Joel is smart, sporty, passionate, determined and a little closed off. He knows the job he wants and he does everything he can to get that job. He doesn’t give up easily, but someone makes it very hard for him. Joel is a player and he definitely doesn’t do commitment, but Leonie makes him want to change that.
I liked Joel and Leonie as friends and as a couple. They get to know each other very well. They make each other realize things. Joel and Leonie comfort each other, but just not in real life at first. They genuinely like each other and those feelings only grow stronger.
I really liked the beginning of Love on Hold. How one wrong phone number can change the lives of two people so much. A change for the better of course. I always liked their conversations over the phone and texts. It took a while before they met in real life. When Joel and Leonie met in real life, their conversations weren’t the same and everything felt a little rushed from that moment. I did like the ending of Love on Hold.
-- My honest review is based on a copy provided by the author. Thank you! --
I wanted to love this one - I was excited when I read the premise and I one-clicked immediately. But unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
This is one of those calling a wrong number leads to love situations, wherein Joel and Leonie meet over the phone after Joel dials a wrong number late one night and gets Leonie on the other end of the line. Instead of hanging up, like most people would do when they receive a wrong number call, these two hit it off with some playful banter, and soon daily texts and late night phone calls became a part of their routines.
Joel is a bit of a playboy and Leonie is a bit of a wallflower, but both are remarkably driven individuals who have huge career aspirations, which certainly helps spark a deeper connection between them as they get to know one another (mostly anonymously) over the phone.
Soon, Joel grows desperate to meet his mystery girl; especially once they piece together that they attend the same college and live close to one another. Leonie is more hesitant – which did and didn’t make much sense to me – but Joel’s dogged pursuit eventually convinces her to throw caution to the wind by finally meeting face to face to see where things lead.
I generally liked Joel and Leonie’s romance. I appreciated that we got a solid half of the story simply following them as they got to know one another over the phone, whilst the second half of the story saw them finally meeting and diving into a relationship unlike anything either had experienced before, or possibly expected to experience at this point in their lives.
Joel and Leonie were cute together, but I really could have done without the contrived external drama. The whole situation with Leonie’s ex was just ridiculous. It was so OTT and I found it hard to believe anyone could behave in such a way and still have someone like Leonie not be calling bullshit and, you know, maybe placing a restraining order on his psycho ass. It made me think poorly of Leonie, as her ex repeatedly showed up to whine and share his crazy delusions, only to have her time and time again act like a pathetic doormat to his bullshit behaviour. The fact she kept claiming she wanted to be friends and that she still showed up to his house for Thanksgiving, despite the fact they’d been broken up for four years and he had repeatedly shown his true colours, just made me shake my head and solidly place Leonie among my list of TSTL female characters that act like total morons when push comes to shove.
Then there was also Joel’s infuriating father and Leonie’s ex’s family, who were also batshit crazy (yes, even the ex's mother who I found pathetic). I didn’t even like Joel and Leonie’s roommates/only friends. Basically, all the secondary players in this did my head in, which is not how I want to feel when I’m reading.
But the thing that probably perplexed me the most about this story was the use of the many awkward and forced endearments. This will be subjective, because everyone has endearments that make them swoon or make them cringe, but Joel’s overuse of “sweetness” when talking to Leonie almost led me to DNF a time or two. I mean, points for trying something different, but the idea that a 21-year-old dude would go around calling his girl his Sweetness, literally every time he spoke, just didn’t fly with me and mostly just made me uncomfortable.
Add to all of that, I didn’t like a few suggestive ideas made in this story. Including, that men and women could never be friends, because NATURE, or that all wealthy people are just domineering psychos. And I especially took offense to the idea that women can’t possibly have pleasurable orgasms without a big, strong, sexy man present to get the job done. Whaaa?! Just a hard no to all of this, thanks.
But I digress…
Despite my issues with the contrived drama, OTT side characters, and weird AF endearments, this was still some really easy and breezy reading. I particularly enjoyed the middle portion of the story when Joel and Leonie finally met face to face. Those scenes were sweet and charming, and they went a long way in winning me over some (and ultimately convincing me to rate up instead of down).
For a debut novel, this was a nice offering. I wouldn’t say no to reading more from Miller, but considering my reaction here I think I’d have to do my research first before diving in. Just sayin'.
Very sweet new adult romance! I thought the beginning was excellent and it sucked me in right away. Could have used more fleshing out of the characters but I was impressed with the pacing and had no problem getting through the story, which in itself is a big plus for me lol :D
I stumbled upon Love, On Hold thanks to an author (who I stalk) who posted the sign up and I the blurb hooked me right away. The whole wrong number bringing two people together and it turning into something more is one of those tropes that, when done right, can be a lot of fun, and this one was a lot of fun. It’s sweet, adorkable, funny with a good dose of smexy and just enough angst to keep things interesting without it being OTT.
I loved Leonie and Joel, Joel a little more, but only because there were quite a few moments where I wanted to reach out and shake some sense into her. But outside of that, they are both good people with good hearts who haven’t had the easiest lives, but they are determined to make their dreams a reality.
From their first ‘meeting’, it was hard not to smile at how fun and adorkable (most on Leonie’s end of things) they were together and how through texting and talking they started to fall for each other when neither had expected it and when they finally meet? Well, it was definitely an experience. From there things get even more interesting and while there were some of those moments, I loved them together ~ the smexy, their bantering and just how well they fit together. And where they were at in the end was perfect!
This was a wonderful read and a great debut novel for the author. The writing was engaging, the pacing was good, I really enjoyed the dual first person POV’s and here was a good balance of humor, heart, drama and smexyness. There were a few twists that I didn’t see coming, but they definitely worked for me. And as for the supporting caste of characters, I would have a problem at all if Amaya or Levi got their own books someday in the future. So, if you like the whole oops wrong number turning into more, than you’ll definitely need to pick this baby up!

Love on Hold is Mia Miller’s debut into the world of contemporary romance writing, and it is one hell of a debut. If you’re a fan of contemporary romance, if you enjoy new adult romance, you need to give this a read. I can tell you right now, after just one book, Mia Miller is someone to watch. I may be a bit pre-emptive in saying this, but I genuinely believe such to be true – this was such a powerful debut, and I cannot wait to see where Mia Miller takes us next.
Although the wrong number trope seems to be quite popular in romance, I’ve yet to read a story using the trope. It is a trope that has interested me, yet I always seem to sway towards my favoured tropes instead of trying something new. Thus, I cannot compare this to other books using the trope, but I can certainly say it hit the right spots for someone who has never read such a story before. In fact, it’s ensured I will be picking up more wrong number books in the future – if this is any indication of what the trope has to offer, then I’ve been missing out on some seriously good stuff.
From the very first page, Love on Hold sucks you into the story. You’re pulled into the lives of the characters, into their story, and it is extremely difficult to put the book down. I told myself I was just going to read a couple of chapters to get an idea of the story, and the next thing I knew I’d finished the book – it was insanely addictive, leaving me turning page after page to see what happened next. Sure, there were some expected moments, but it was wonderful to watch how everything came together, how Mia Miller made the story her own, and to enjoy some of the wonderful lines peppered throughout.
Honestly, this was such a sweet story. There were a few steamy scenes, but mostly this one was incredibly sweet. Dealing with loss, following your dreams, and standing up for what you deserve, this story intertwines the romance beautifully with the heavier topics of the story. It really is a powerful debut, one that leaves me with high expectations for the future books – and with the desire for stories surrounding the side characters (because, honestly, the case was amazing – both the main characters and side characters).
It really is a solid four-star rating. Early into the story I thought it could be a five-star rating, but I do feel as though things came together too quickly and too easily towards the end, with the way some details were resolved been overly simple and cliched for my liking. It was enjoyable, I cannot deny that, but towards the end of the book I lost the feeling of how it could have been a five-star rating and it became a solid four-star instead.
Overall, I had a lot of fun with this. I’ll certainly be reading more Mia Miller in the future, and am already on the lookout for any information I can get regarding her next release.
The blurb on this book drew me in immediately. I am sort of a sucker for this wrong number / texting meet-cute idea and so this was one I definitely wanted to check out. It's a quick, easy, sexy read and I did enjoy it. As far as debuts go, this one is solid and Ms. Miller shows a lot of promise.
I adored Joel and Leonie and felt like they started out very strong. I would have liked to have seen more playful, flirty banter between the two of them. I feel like it went to a sexy place pretty quickly and - as is always my thing - I was not able to connect to that as well as I would have if more time had been spent building up the emotional side of things. At times I wondered if I might just be too old for this particular storyline, but at other times I found myself enjoying these characters so much that I think in the end it was just a bit uneven for me. A little bit of a mixed bag where some things worked very well, and other things left me feeling a little frustrated and dissatisfied.
There's a lot packed into this relatively short book, so things move very quickly. Whatever issues I might have had buying into the emotional side of the relationship between Joel and Leonie, were balanced by how much I did love the characters themselves and how hard it was for me to put this book down sometimes. I was definitely invested, and completely caught up in the story between these two and, while it wasn't a perfect reader experience for me, it felt like a solid start and I would definitely pick up another book by this author! ~ Shelly, 3 Stars
I’m always anxious when I start reading a new book after an excellent one. I’m also nervous when I start a book by a new-to-me author but it’s worse when it’s an author’s first novel which is the case for Love, On Hold. All the premise of the book seems fun and sweet. Falling in love via phone was a little surprising but I love a good challenge so why not. Joel and Leonie were indeed a lot of sweetness during the first 20% of the book. They get to know each other and we discovered whom they are and what their ambitions are. I wouldn’t mind a few more details or even a few more text/phone call between them. There was an easy going friendship settling that I enjoy to witness.
Unfortunately, this ended being just an ok read for me. My main problems were the ex drama that made absolutely no sense. Well technically, I could understand it but to me the guy was just playing dumb instead of telling right away what his real intension were which pissed me off a little. Then Leonie was a bit annoying keeping Joel at arms length for no real reason. Once again to me it lacked details. The book could have been longer because it has good base, good plot and great chemistry. Will I read Mia’s books in the future? Probably, the writing was really good until I spotted things that didn’t work for me as a reader.
This is a contemporary new adult story about love, loss, and following your dreams.
would you answer your mobile phone if it rang at 3.45am? that's the question this book answers, what could become of your life if you did!
Leonie the girl with her life mapped out and not interested in finding love and Joel the guy who would run a thousand miles and more to escape the man who's called his father.
As for why Leonie isn't looking for a reletionship and why Joel is running that you can find out by reading this beautifully brilliant 20st century romance.
I loved how the storyline is something that could happen to anyone and it restores your faith in the right guy being out there just waiting for fate to intervene.
As always there's characters you fall for and characters you want to slap around the chops but I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes romance in the real world.
Holy warm fuzzy cuteness batman! This book is adorable! Chock full of sweet, feel good, make you want to hug it goodness. I was hooked from that first wrong number phone call and head over heels in love. I haven’t read a book that made me this genuinely happy in so long. I flew through the pages of this one!
Leonie and Joel are flat out adorable. Right from the beginning of their phone only interactions you can’t help but love them. Their texts and calls quickly grow from having me giggling to swooning as their relationship grows into something much more than strangers. Love, On Hold is the ultimate feel good sweep you off your feet romance.
This book is so different in so many ways. What happens when you are afraid to love? What happen when a stranger’s voice is all you want? This love story is amazing meeting Joel and Leonie was more then I expected. It reminds you that money has nothing to do with love. It reminds you that even though you aren’t ready for it it will come. This book will make you laugh and swoon all at the same time. It will remind you to follow your dreams. The bonus of it all was the texting and phone call those are my favorite type of books.
To Mia Miller you are an amazing writer. I love that this love story wasn’t rushed, it took its time. I want to say that I can’t wait for your next book. Keep doing what you are doing we need more Authors like you. Thank you for giving me a chance to read this book.
Love it! Such great characters with wonderful chemistry. It also flowed nicely and I really like the buildup and how relatable the whole story is. Fantastic read!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC. I absolutely loved this story. Leonie and Joel are so sweet. And their feelings for each other grow in the most clever way. Laugh out loud moments (LOVED Leonie's roommate!) A light fun read!
This is one of the few books I have ever cried happy tears over when I got to the final scenes. A true HEA
4.5 stars!!!! AWEEE I loved "Love on Hold", Mia Miller did an absolute fantastic job with her debut novel!! I was undeniably hooked from the very first page in. It was everything you could wish for a good romance novel, sweet, awkward, funny, STEAMY, with just a dash of drama for perfection! I really loved getting to read from both Joel and Leonie pov's, it gave it a perfect balance.
About the Story: Leonie, Ivy league student with her whole life planned out, and love isn't part of the plan. After an on and off again mediocre relationship with her ex, she's not interested derailing her plans for a guy. That is until a TDL (Tall Dark & Handsome) with a sexy husky voice rings her 3:45am. Who knew a unknown number with the wrong number could sound so good? Trying to ignore him seemed futile, and texting and calling seems innocent enough right. Deciding to keep their identities secret, with no intentions of meeting, they continue to text and call getting to know each other. Blossoming into a really cute new aged Pin pal relationship with undeniable feelings neither can resist.
Joel, doesn't do relationships, who has the time when most of his it's spent dodging his alcoholic father, refusing to taking over the family legacy. Which makes finding a company to offer him a Reporting job all the more frustrating with his Father connections. While Joel's trying to start his career in journalism After hanging out at a local bar one night Joel decides to give the girl from the bar a ring, but he dialed the wrong number. And girl on the other end sounds way more interesting then the girl from the bar, so why not keep her talking. What starts out from cute friendship with texting and late night phone calls blossoms into a real feelings for Joel.
Without giving anything away, I'll say that I adored Leonie and Joel's relationship, it was heartwarming, funny, awkward, steamy and flirty. I really liked how their relationship blossomed from friends. A really cute storyline that could happen to anyone, with a sweet HEA. I will definitely be reading more from Mia Miller in the future, Id love to continue reading her next book " Truly Yours" ;)
I absolutely fell in love with Leonie and Joel! The banter between the two is so sweet and hot. The flow of the book is flawless and had me wanting to keep reading one more chapter that turned into 2 or 3 more. Books that have depth and meaning and a little suspense are always my favorite and Mia was able to put that all in one small package with Love, On Hold.
"I am addicted, is what I am. The man is like sugar. He got into my veins and I can't get it out."
Love on hold is MIA Miller’s writing debut. I was very impressed by this author and book. The book isnt like anything I’ve read before. Joel and Leonie's relationship begins when Joel receives a fake number that puts him in contact with Leonie. They start talking on the phone and eventually text as well. They have this amazing connection without having even met. When they meet in person, will that connection still be there?
This was a great book for a debut author. While some debut author lack a solid plot, Mia Miller was not one of them. The storyline was great and once I drove into this book I could not put it down. Ms. Miller did a fabulous job with her characters and was able to portray them efficiently. I look forward to reading more books from this up and coming author and I suggest you get on this train. This is one author you dont want to miss.
Leonie's whole life is wrapped up in her studies. Wanting to work with the U>N> has been her dream since childhood. Her life is about to change when she answers her phone in the middle of the night to a wrong number. Joel hates his family business and wants to be his own man. When he tried to call a girl he met in a bar, he got Leonie instead and their story begins. This books has romance, misunderstandings, trust issues and awakenings of feelings. Ifell in love with this book and highly recommend it to all romance lovers.
This is such a unique read. I knew I was going to enjoy it the from the first few pages. Reading the initial phone call made me giddy. I liked how you can literally watch/read how deeply they started falling for each other even though they have never met. How they both loved hearing each others voices, and texting. Joel and Leonie were really perfect together. That epilogue was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. My heart just burst because I was so damn happy reading that. Highly recommended!
I received this as ARC, but it will not affect my honest review.
This is the first time I have read a book by Mia Miller and I cannot wait to read more books by her, I thoroughly enjoyed Love on Hold and could not put it down. Both Leonie and Joel were in their last year of college and focused on graduating and getting a job, they were not looking for love. A chance phone call in the middle of the night (wrong#) started their friendship before finally meeting when they decided to open themselves to the possibility of love.
The story was filled with a bit of humor, friendship, romance and fighting for what you want. Plus there was a little bit of crazy from Leonie's ex and Joel's controlling father to add a bit of drama to the mix. Together, they learned the value of open honest love.
OH MY GOD!! This gave me all kinds of fuzzy swoony feeling. I just finished reading an ARC of this book in one go and it was amazing! With such a perfect storyline and character development combined with great writing, you just can't help fall head over heels in love with Joel and Leonie! It is a must read for all romance readers! Just loved it! Totally a five star read for me! Looking forward to reading Truly yours ♥️
Wow! What an absolutely amazing debut novel by Mia Miller. Love on Hold has the right amount of drama, lovable characters and a warm and fuzzy plot, but then it also has that indefinable something that makes it unforgettable.
Joel and Leonie's relationship is not the ordinary sort. It started with a dialing a wrong number at 3.45am but then fate took hold. Joel is the sort of man that you would definitely want to settle down with, not just for the night, and Leonie is so relatable in the battles that she has overcome and continues to fight. I absolutely loved the journey that Joel and Leonie took during the novel, their strength and sweetness both individually and as a couple.
Mia Miller's writing debut was amazing and I will be watching to see what she has for us next. Love on Hold is a definite 5-Star read. Preferable in one sitting with a cuppa and some chocolate 😉
I'm so happy that I got the chance to read this book. It has all the elements that I love in a romance novel, a swoony hero, a strong heroine and an engaging plot. I want you all to give this one a try and you won't be disappointed by this cute, sweet, feel good story. ARC was generously provided by the author for an honest review.
Have you read Teagan Hunter's Let's Get Textual? Because this book reminded me of that. It was still different, Joel is SO not like Zach and Leonie definitely not like Delilah- just similar concept: wrong number leading to the love of your life. I love when books include texting banter, but when a book is centered around it? You have me at hello!
Leonie Marsh wakes up at 3am to an unknown caller looking for a booty call (why else do you call at 3am?). Leonie isn't looking for love. Love is for after. After school, after she gets settled into her career, when she's ready. But who's ever ready for love? Leonie is looking to work at the UN, so while she's studying her butt off with all those languages, she's also volunteering at the hospital (playing games with the kids), and working as a hairdresser for the campus barber shop.
Joel Thomas moved away from his alcoholic father, who also happens to have a lot of power in the world. While he's trying to make it in the world of journalism, he has to deal with his father demanding he come home, and blocking any chances of him actually getting a job in the field he wants. For reasons completely unlike Leonie, Joel doesn't believe in love; He doesn't believe in relationships. But something about Leonie calls to him, and he can feel the pull with just the sound of her voice.
What starts out as a simple wrong number turns into an everyday interaction, it turns into a relationship, calling each other when they have a bad day, texting each other constantly, even though they don't even know what the other looks like. They talk about their hopes and dreams, their goals, what they want from the future, they talk about their past. They open up to each other in ways they never imagined they would to a total stranger. What starts out virtual leads to them meeting in person, and the connection they had on the phone only grows.
I loved many things about this book, but one of my absolute favorites was that they were both busy trying to carve out their own futures and they both tried to think of what they could do to help the other. When Leonie gets super busy with all she's doing, Joel tries to do more with her, like volunteering at the hospital. When Joel gets frustrated with not being able to find work, Leonie tries to help him still follow his dreams while going around his father's blocks. The way they try to support each other and it. Is. AWESOME.
Also, there's not much drama between the two. There's no cheating (thank God!), there's some other woman/other man drama, but not much. There's some push and pull between Leonie and Joel, but nothing that makes you go crazy (well nothing that made me want to punch anyone, anyway). They have their own hangups, but they give each other the time and space to work through them. They're both 21, so they have some immature moments (don't we all), but they try to work through them the best way possible. Basically, this novel was gold, and it's only a debut. I cannot wait to see what Mia Miller has in store!! I will definitely commence stalking- eh, following, Mia!
I absolutely loved the approach that the author took with introducing these characters. What better way to meet someone than to have a random phone call, followed up by messages. Mia Miller is a new author to me and I love her style--the writing is fresh and very appealing.
I instantly liked Leonie and Joel. The words just came natural to them and that's what made this story so enjoyable. I honestly felt like I was right back in college, watching this relationship develop. I loved that the author chose to do the chapters in alternating POVs so that we got the story from both of their perspectives. Leonie and Joel were a lot alike yet they'd never crossed paths before until that one phone call.
It was an all-around enjoyable read--a cute love-story with a little bit of angst, a little bit of drama, and a whole lot of steam. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this story because it was just the right read that I needed. If you're looking for a college romance that develops slowly over time, this is definitely one you'll want to pick up. Great read!
The blurb really pulled me to read and I started loving this cute story, but it was bit slow and most of the situation / stuff seemed bit too cliche, which was a downer for me. But still it was a cute read in a world of dark romances which I own. The writing was decent but not something extraordinary. Though I would really love to read some other books by this author. As this was my first call/text kind of romance.
