This original in-world novel details Scrooge's epic adventures and was written by Scrooge himself, who may or may not be the most reliable narrator. Good thing Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby are around to fact-check his journal entries and infuse the truth into his tall tales! This hilarious middle grade novel features everything from tips on mastering the Money Pit Dive to ways of keeping Scrooge's Lucky Number-One Dime safe. Includes 160 pages of hilarious journal entries, full-color images, and a double-sided poster that fans will simply love.
A delightful fun book fitting with a pretty fun series (though I am still more a fan of the older series). You definitely need to have seen the first episodes of the show or you will get spoiled. I loved the extra content though, the tips Scrooge gave were fun and great, and then there are the comments, haikus, drawings, stickers, etc. by the nephews and Webby (urgh this new Webby is terrible). Even if you get rid of the colours you would know instantly who is talking/commenting. I could even read it in the voices of the cast. I laughed so much while reading this one. Plus points for the fun handwriting font and how the book looked. It just makes you want to continue reading. Also Sword Horses!
If you like Ducktales, you'll like this! It's a fun book going over most of season one, written by Scrooge, with a little help from Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby ;) Scrooge also gives some good advice on random subjects, and the triplets and webby make sure Scrooge tells the truth with the stories he tells. It's a fun quick read for Ducktales fans!
Growing up, Ducktales was one of my favorite cartoons, and I’m glad to say that the new show still manages to keep what I love about the original show, whilst adding more to the history. This book is a recap on the first few episodes of the current series written from the main characters ‘ perspectives. This provides new and hilarious new insights to what you already know and has enough subtle Easter eggs if you’re a Ducktales fan.
Originally I thought this was going to be a dossier put together by only Webby, but I was pleasantly surprised that this was Scrooge's memoir. It's in the the realm of the season currently airing of Ducktales. The last chapter is this Saturday's (8/4/18) episode. 😊 All the kids write it in. You can practically hear them saying all this. Looks like a great dossier. Lauchpad even writes something small.
An absolute delight in every way, from binding to the bundles on laughts waiting between the pages. I'm a kid at heart (26!) and I found each aspect, from illustration to storytelling, satisfying and worth a Saturday stay indoors. Having fallen in love with the series from the very start, I gotta admit: I LOVE the direction it's heading in. Will be proudly displaying this on my bookshelf 🤓
Full of good information about the 2017 Ducktales show presented in a way that will really appeal to children (but was fun enough to read as an adult).
