I got this book for my 4-year-old who has completed one-year of full-time nursery. He liked the book "because of the horse".
This is a rhyming book that follows the character Prince George who likes to go on adventures. This adventure is his first time at school, and he makes mistakes and so on when he is there but becomes part of the happy class by the end.
My son enjoyed the book because the things that Prince George did at school, e.g. painting, sandpit play, box building, are the things that he has been doing at nursery. And it is true that nursery is daunting for young ones when they first go - my son was crying when he first went but he now loves to go there, and in this book Prince George loves it too - "I quite like this kingdom called School".
The story is also accompanied by big colour pictures, my son liked these of course "because of the horse".
