Time isn’t on Aodh’s side when he gets trapped in a magical prison on an island thousands of years in the past. The only people who can save him are an old lover he didn’t exactly part on good terms with, and the innocent ursa female whose true power has yet to be unleashed as long as she remains a virgin.
Aodh’s Fated Mates, Neph and Vrishti, have never met. When the ancient satyr and ursa princess finally do, they aren’t quite sure they can trust each other. Will they be able to overcome their misgivings enough to pool their powers and rescue the man they both love?
But even reunited, their journey isn’t over. Their mortal enemy is on the loose, and her hunger for power threatens to tear their entire world apart.
Ophelia Bell is the author of the super steamy Sleeping Dragons series. Ophelia loves hot alpha heroes, especially if they’re dragons, but believes the world needs more alpha heroines, so has made it her mission to make that happen. Ophelia grew up on a rural farm in North Carolina and now lives in Los Angeles with her sexy tattooed alpha husband and five-and-a-half attention-whoring cats (one of them is exceptionally large and might actually be a dragon in disguise).
The tension builds. Prisoners have been freed. The enemy is marching. The war is on. The higher races have come together, finally realizing that should the enemy triumph all else is lost.
The clock is ticking and the equinox is fast approaching, everything hinges on the equinox. Nikhil has been chosen to lead and he and Calder, along with their immortal mates have devised a plan to infiltrate the enemy's hideout. Meanwhile, Neph and Vrishti must find a way to their mate, Aodh, and free him from his prison, because success depends on all of their combined power. Sounds easy, right? Hold on there, dragon lovers, you know well and good nothing ever goes that smoothly.
The climax of Dragon Guardian is full of epic suspense and ingenious solutions that can only happen in the world of immortal fantasy and Ophelia Bell writes it masterfully. For those of us who are hard core fans of this series, each book in the series tells the story of one of the 6 immortal dragon siblings and their fated mates, and while Aodh, Neph and Vrishti's mating is HOT and integral to the story, this plotline is a visual and emotional smorgasbord. The next installment can't happen fast enough.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of Dragon Guardian.
Everytime that Ophelia comes out with a new book, I jump at the chance to get her book. These are such great stories and this one is no different.
Aodh and Neph were lovers way back in the day. But when Meri got involved (because back then two males could not be involved by themselves) things got all kinds of screwed up. Aodh was banished to another time and Neph was banished to earth.
Vrishti is their intended mate. She goes to earth to find Neph so that they can go find Aodh. But to do that she will have to tap into her power.
This book, which if you have read an Ophelia book, you should know has lots of sex, intrigue, steam, power, a great storyline, and solid characters. Loved this story.
Book 5 in immortal dragon series by Ophelia Bell This book is about Aodh white dragon, Neph immortal water nymph and Vrishti Ursa summer spirit princess. This series is on of the very rare ones that keeps getting better and better especially with so many in series and spin offs to others. Aodh and neph have a very painful past that both have struggled with and now in future they have to come to terms with their past mistakes and try to work things out for the third in their relationship Vrishti. Vrishti only just found out she is Summer Spirit Princess fated to rule the ursa Shifters. She meets Aodh and they realise their fated mates but they are still missing something. This book has a lot going on especially most of previous characters are in the story that play important parts through storyline. This book like most of OB are very sexual and very adventurous with multiple partners but at no point is it seedy or cringe worthy but if you are offended by MM or MMF or even orgy types then this might not be your book. I love this writer and the crazy amazing world she’s created but I’m starting to feel the Meri story needs rounding up and finishing but that still wouldn’t stop me reading next 5 more books if she keeps writing them.
this moment was finally the moment he’d been waiting for all that time. You’re so much more than just a fantasy. Every part of me belongs to you, down to my soul. Will you give me time to make amends? It’s time for me to return to where Fate wants me. For once, he believed time was on his side. the reward at the end of this would be worth the wait. SWEET MOTHER, HOLY WOW!! WHAT AN ABSO-EFFEN-LUTELY SPECTACULAR, ASTONISHING, BREATHTAKING & FANTABULOUS BOOK!! I was blown away yet again! The story is just so amazing, so fantastic, so.. so… so BEYOND PHENOMENAL!!! This book has the intensity ramping up to the point that I felt anxious, on edge, waiting for the shoe to drop, waiting for that perfect moment where I could FINALLY just let go, eerrr rather to where Vrishti could FINALLY let go! For the record, I feel gypped because my first time was nothing like hers! wink The pure essence of the story, the characters, is an intoxicating mixture that I cannot, could not resist. From the first sentence I was transported back into this World that I so deeply love, Love, LOVE, truly living everything with the characters, for them when they can't for whatever reason or are just too darn stubborn to, but mostly AS these amazing, passionate multifaceted characters who are, who mean so much more to me than "just characters"! The complexity, depth, enrichment and enhancement to this book and series is off the charts! The way that each and every storyline is so intricately woven throughout not only one book, but throughout the series is so mind boggling beautiful! You DO have to read the books in order, but that is one of the HUGE points that I love, Love, LOVE about Ophelia’s books! This allows for the story to be properly told, for the characters & their World(s) to be developed to the depth that they are, and for the story to be so all-encompassing! I cannot even begin to imagine how Ophelia does it, let alone how she does it so expertly & flawlessly!!! But that says so much about just how talented she is, how brilliant and gifted she is, as well as the love and passion she has for her characters, to not only give them their own story and voice(s) to share it, but to make it THE BEST STORY POSSIBLE in EVERY SINGLE WAY!! I am wholly, utterly, truly and completely consumed – mind, body, spirit, soul & heart!! “to move through space and surrender to the flow of the universe. Power that strong must be kept safe at all costs. the Source needed to be protected. They would win, but what would be the cost?”
So far I've thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series, it has sex, violence, love, betrayal, mystery, action...etc!
Thing is that at book five, well I'm kind of tired of reading about Meri and I'm growing even more tired of the villains in this series always winning and getting their way! I feel so frustrated at the end of each book knowing that Meri is still alive and no matter what any of these immortals do, no one can hurt her, no one can stop her and I just don't get it? How can a world filled with supposed greater and powerful beings not have the smarts or the tools to stop this crazy ass lady and all of her evil machinations? These books are slowly draining me of the ability to believe in these dragons, ursas, turul's..etc. I keep reading because a small part of me refuses to believe that ultimately Meri will get her way..so I push forward but I really hope that book six is it and the good guys finally start to get some payback for everything Meri has done!
Overall this was a great read, though I was disappointed that Aodh wasn't really a part of the story until a little more than half the story had gone by. One question does remain, is the baby that Meri has belong to Nikhail and Neela? Because if so, I think Vrishti, Aodh and Neph are going to be sorely disappointed because Neela deserves to have her baby after it was so callously taken from her! Just saying....
Despite my growing frustration with this series, I am looking forward to book six and the war that is happening in the Haven!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Aodh a dragon, Neph a satyr and Vrishti’s an ursa are the balance points in this triad. A triad that has some serious issues to overcome, Aodh is stuck in the past on a magical island that he is not allowed to leave. While Neph in the present who is still recovering from being locked out of his home by Nyx is now finding himself up close and personal with an ursa that is claiming to be Aodh’s mate. Vrishti is a virgin ursa who has not had her first estrous and knows that she needs to be able to harness the magical energy that will be released once it happens.
If you have not read any of the stories in this series you may experience some confusion with all of the characters and how they all fit into the storyline. When you work your way past getting your bearings then you are off to the races as they say as things start picking up both steam and momentum towards prepping for an impending war.
The author paints lush scenery and steamy sex scenes. The characters are all fully developed and don’t really have time for childish pursuits. There is great banter and camaraderie between all of the players.
Please be aware that this book may contain some material that may be upsetting for some; there is same sex relationships, bestiality as the book does contain satyrs and dragons and other assorted mythical creatures, coercion and some forms of hermatolagnia “blood play”.
Holy F**cking Sh**e!! This is book 5 of the immortal dragons I got a lot to tell You! Lol The most intense, erotic and ever heart pounding "omg no!" And "damn we gotta wait that effing long?!" type of situation we have here.
Vrishti has always been an interesting character to me. But seeing her this way made me VERY happy! She was fierce and a quick learner, a heart of gold and great sympathizer. I cannot wait how she'll do in the next book.
Neph, I always liked the satyr from the beginning I know what he did. He put duty before all else. Duty not always being the appropriate thing to do, but I hurt for him. The man had my heart strings not as much as Aodh though but close enough.
Aodh! Omg Aodh I want to see more of him. I loved him quiet and terse, but you could tell he hid more than you would ever know. The man took my heart!
The overall plot has gotten intense you will be flipping the pages like nobody's business. You'll scream and want to kinda yell at the book. (At one point I was certain Ophelia wanted me to hate her lol) But the worst part? Is the SLIGHT cliffhanger.... So prepare yourself you'll be longing towards the end. On that note Bring it on Numa!! 🖤🖤💚💚

It's a fast-paced, will keep you engaged and on the edge of your seat. Please note if you read those books in order or the box, you will be able to understand the "who, what,....". There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, abuse, intrigue, fighting, survival, trust, romance, passion/lust and love. Captivating and involved with the story, feeling being right there fighting with them. In this world, danger is around every corner, demonic forces rules, only the strong survive. Aodh is magically inprisoned on an island, thousand of years in the past. Meri has ruined another person's life by separating two men who lived each other three thousand years ago. Then there is Meri's plans to take over the Haven, the Sanctuary and the rest of the world. Neph, a satyr, was Aodh's lover until Meri interfere in their lives. Vrishti is their female counterpart to complete their triad. Neph needs her magic to help free Aodh from his prison. The war is on, is the end in sight? Can they can free their mate from his prison?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the first book in this universe/series that I’ve read. It’s been a while since I’ve read anything quite so intricate in a SF/F setting, and this is pretty unique. So, unlike a few other reviewers, it took me a few chapters to get into the story, or to figure out where the story “began”, at least in this book. There’s a lot of information, a lot of names thrown about, a fair amount of explaining, but it eventually clarifies when fewer characters are on the stage and there are more one-on-one interactions.
Characters come from everywhere and everywhen which is a big reason why this book feels so different from other fantasies I’ve read. Well, that and the sex. The blurb explains the story well. This society seems to exist with fated triads of various species, resting on a blood magic base (though not vampiric, thank god). The protagonists have to rescue a dragon, their third mate, from a suspension time bubble in order to battle the main Big Bad. And she’s pretty Bad.
So, if you like complex mythology, sex and romance, dragons, nymphs and time travel, this is your series and book.
Wow! Another Fantastic Ophelia Bell Book. I love this series and this book is no exception. It has everything a lover of paranormal adventure stories could want. There is adventure, intrigue, twists and turns, suspense, romance, lust, love, heart pounding sexy times and several different types of paranormal/shifter folks. The storyline is so vivid and flows so smoothly. The characters are so realistic and I feel very invested in them. I find myself rooting for them and wishing for them a happy ending (which Ms. Bell always delivers on). I had trouble putting this book down because I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next! I was up so late, I went to work on just four hours sleep (so worth it). I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens. I definitely recommend this book, and all of the others in this series. While you can read this book without reading the others and still enjoy it, the story is much richer if you have read the previous books. I voluntarily read this Advanced Reader Copy and this is my honest review.
OMG, every time I finish one of the authors books in her Immortal Dragon Series, I swear it's not going to be any better. WRONG !!! The story is filled with so much longing for love lost, desire for a new love, twisted evil, magnificent world building. The story is jam-packed with great characters, both good and evil, looking for redemption, revenge, hatred, and the most sensual, sexy, burning hot filled longing with passionate forever love. But can they main characters save their world from the war that's coming, from evil filled with madness and unbelievable torture that just keeps getting more insane, all towards immortality no matter what the cost to those she uses along the way. Well guess what I'm not doing any spoilers, I don't want to give one iota of what occurs to you. You need to pick this book up and read it, read it with care for it can burn you with sexual passion and love, as well as sicken you with the vicious acts of a mad woman. Be warned, you will not want to put this book down till you finish it.
This is another great book in the series. The triads that form are always challenged and it is their strong bond that helps them survive the danger. Aodh, Neph and Vrishti are meant to be together.
Aodh and Neph were lovers but had to find female to be part of their triad to be accepted. They were betrayed and were torn apart. Vrishti now needs Neph's help to find Aodh who is meant to be her mate. Her power level must be increased for that to happen and that requires a strong sexual partner like Neph.
I highly recommend the whole series. It is very well written. The stories are complex and always leave you surprised. They also have a lot of sexual content that keeps the story hot. I really these characters. The fact that all three get to share their own thoughts and feelings helps draw you close to them. You see their strengths and weaknesses and the author does not shy away from the harsher aspects of their choices.
Aodh and Neph had been lovers who were torn apart from each other by the manipulative Meri. Aodh has been held captive for thousands of years. He needed to be rescued and reunited with Neph. They also needed to add a female to be part of their triad. Vrishti is their intended female, but she needs Neph to take her to the next level to help bring out her powers. Then they both will be ready to find Aodh and unite to face the threat of their enemies.
I have enjoyed this series. This is the fifth book in this dragon series, which should probably be read in order to follow all the characters and what’s going on. As with the other books, this one is suspenseful and well written. The characters and story line will keep the reader involved from start to finish! I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review; needless to say, I also bought my own copy for my library!
Hold on to your butts (as a friend of mine would say) because this is a thrilling ride with no breaks. Technically this is Neph, Aodh and Vrishti's story, and it can totally be read as a standalone. But why cheat yourself? Book #5 in the Immortal Dragons series we miss a lot if the details that give the story incredible depth. The author does an excellent job bringing us up to speed, but the resonance is so much deeper if you have context. She does amazing world-building throughout the series. We've got emotion, and twist, action, passion, danger, love and so much more here. I don't want to spoil anything, but this is a must-have read. I highly recommend any book in the Immortal Dragons series, and this one is amazing. If you're a stickler like me you may want to start with book 1, but every installment is a joy. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
Either you have no time or too much. An intense addition to the Immortal Dragons series. We finally get to read the story of Neph and Aodh. Meri has run so many lives and three thousand years ago she causes the separation of the two men who loved each other but couldn’t be together. But now Vrishti, an it’s female may be the link they need and the key to stopping Meri and her evil plans.
This series is beyond hot and intense. The relationships are all extremely hot and go beyond. Ophelia Bell has a wonderfully dirty mind. And I love her for it.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. This is Vrishti, Aodh and Neph’s story and it an adventure into the next chapter of the series. Aodh who has been held in captivity for 3,000 years is finally rescued by Neph and Vrishti, his two fated mates. The story is full of suspense, danger and lots and lots of hot hot sex. The book is well written and very graphic. It is a great book to read and it takes a while to read it. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and anticipate the next segment. I would highly recommend this book but to fully appreciate what is going on it is good to have read the earlier books in this series, you will not be disappointed.
Aodh's Ursa female fated mate and Neph the satyr who had been his lover before Aodh banishment set about finding him. Aodh a Dragon banished to the past, Neph his Satyr lover who helped with that banishment and Vrishti his Ursa fated mate are the main characters in this magical adventure story. Neph and Vrishti search for their Dragon is hampered by the plans of Meri who was also banished to gain control the power of the Source. A hot sexy adventure full of magical being making it an exciting read to relax and put your feet up with. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Meri's plans to enter the Haven has come full circle, but there is one problem that she can't solve. Vrishti and Neph are on the path to find Aodh Will the plans of Nikhil, be enough to stop Meri or will she turn the Haven upside down through the power an unsuspecting Ursa female? I totally love these dragons and their supernatural counterparts, they are very committed to their mates and to stopping this threat. I'm definitely have to read this entire series again once its complete!
While everyone is getting ready to end Meri and get Nereus back, Aodh is trapped in the past. Vrishti has a mission and it's to get his mate back. Neph will have to help her. I was at the edge of my seat through the whole book. Everything is so sexy specially when is charged with mate feelings. While the author gives snippets of what the future can be, I am biting my nails waiting for things to happen. I loved that they are intertwined (dragons, ursas and satyrs) and I can read about the characters I have grown to love through the series. It's an awesome series!!
**I received an ARC at no cost to the author in exchange for an honest review**
Wow, just WOW! Ophelia has done it AGAIN! Another fantastic story from beginning to end, with edge of your seat, nail biting suspense! The chemistry will definitely keep you fanning yourself and begging for more! Aodh, Neph & Vrishti have something more than the other couples in any of the other book's, and it's a sexy, dangerous & beautiful all in its self. Ophelia has out done herself with "Dragon Guardian" and I could read this story over and over again and again!
You need to pick this book up and read it, read it with care for it can burn you with sexual passion and love, as well as sicken you with the vicious acts of a mad woman. Be warned, you will not want to put this book down till you finish it. I love this writer and the crazy amazing world she’s created but I’m starting to feel the Meri story needs rounding up and finishing but that still wouldn’t stop me reading next 5 more books if she keeps writing them.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved every one of the books in this series. Dragon Betrayed (Immortal Dragons 0) Dragon Blues (Immortal Dragons #1) Dragon Void (Immortal Dragons #2) Dragon Splendor (Immortal Dragons #3) Dragon Rebel (Immortal Dragons #4) Dragon Guardian (Immortal Dragons #5) Dragon Blessed (Immortal Dragons #5.5) Dragon Equinox (Immortal Dragons #6) Dragon Avenged (Immortal Dragons #7)
From the start of the series to the end of the last book they kept me wanting more. I did not want it to end and i am sure i will reread them again at some point.
This is the fifth book in the Immortal Dragons series and starts off pretty much where the previous book left off. In this book we watch the tension build as the higher races come together after they relized that if the enemy wins that everything is lost. There were so many intense moments that Vrishti was put in that it had me going omg! I loved watching Neph and Aodh eventually sort things out in their relationship. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
Wow! Ms. Bell does it again! This installment of the Immortal Dragons series totally upped the anti on everything; action, romance, love sexy dragon men and so much more. I loved every word of this one and it's a welcome addition to this series. Any reader who loves a strong shifter tale with plenty of action and strong, sexy characters need to hit that buy button now! I requested an ARC of this at no cost to the author so that I can post an honest review
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Fantasy and drama entwined in this engaging story of dragons, satyrs, past and present, love and politics. A war is coming and Aodh, Neph, and Vrishti, must untangle their complicated past to work towards their future. Well written, descriptive, a fantasy fan's must read! One book in the series this is not a stand alone novel....
The Immortal Dragons series has been fantastic so far, and Book 5 continues on in the same vein. This is Neph, Aodh and Vrishti's story. This is a paranormal world where danger lurks, and only the strong can survive in this society of demons and dragons. Meri was able to fool Aodh once, and now he is wise to her. Vrishti is a perfect addition to Aodh and Neph's triad, and the twists, turns, and the sexual chemistry is amazing. It's a must read, along with the other Immortal Dragons books!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the first book of the series I have read and now wish that I had read the others. This book can be read by itself but I get the sense that the other books provide a better background to all that is happening. The characters are well developed and likable. The storyline is steamy and intense race against time. I have read Ophelia Bell before and this book doesn't disappoint.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the first book in the series I have read and it is absolutely brilliant! It kept me hooked from start to finish! It is really well written and I will go through the trouble of buying and reading the other 4 precursor books to learn the characters better. No matter what happens I will always be a paranormal/fantasy reader!
Who doesn't love dragon erotica! I mean come on! It is hot as the blazing sun! Vrishti thinking Aodh is her only mate, gets a surprise when she gains a second as well. The chemistry between the three is oh so hot! And this story is absolutely amazing! I love this series and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds and ends!
I voluntarily agreed to read this book. And this is my honest review!
Another great book! Steamy, hot, full of adventure, and, evil Mari still trying to get to the Source. Aohd, Neph and Vrishti are finally reunited but with a lot of trials thrown in their way. The book is good but it left us not quite hanging and set up the story for the next book. Grrrr I hate waiting. But 😉 can't wait!
