He has his second chance, and this time he's not letting her go.Harper Campbell was beautiful, smart, and innocent. I wanted her to be mine. There was just one problem. She was my best friend's sister. She was off-limits, but I couldn't help myself.
We were just kids when we fell in love--young and carefree. Then tragedy struck, and I felt I was to blame. I did the only thing I thought I could--I left, leaving everything I cared about behind.
Harper: I'd loved him for as long as I could remember, and losing him almost broke me.
I tried to move on. I tried to forget. But I could never forget Max, the boy I loved with all my heart and soul.
I never thought I'd see him again, but with one unexpected encounter, he was back. He wasn't the same boy I fell in love with all those years ago. He was that and so much more. As much as I wanted him, I had to wonder... could my heart survive another break?
Max's Redemption is a standalone, second chance romance that will pull at your heart strings, and while it isn't an MC, it will still take you on a wild ride. So, hold ladies, here comes Max. Intended for reader 18 on older for explicit language.
Title: Max's Redemption Author: L. Wilder Genre: Contemporary Romance Publication Date: November 5, 2017
This is my first L. Wilder novel and I must say... I'm not a convert. YET. I felt like this book had so much potential until it went downhill for me. The first half of the book, I was hooked. I was excited, giddy and restless for more... by the end of the first half, I was a blubbering mess. oh! the saddness! my heart literally broke into millions of tiny pieces..... then... the second half started and I noticed a decline. Nope. It just didn't do it for me anymore. And the climax was so anti-climactic. I was promised a 'wild ride'!!! where the hell is it?!
But I will say this, this is a spoiler of sorts, the climax? granted it wasn't who we thought it was but still... come on! I don't want to be harsh but I could hear crickets chirping in the background after that 'revelation'.
Maybe I am being harsh because others seem to love this book. And, I know the star rating might confuse some but the truth is, I loved the first half, it's the second half that ruined it for me.
Why don't you give it a try and let me know... Maybe you guys will like it.
OK, I love this author and this again was another very good read. What stopped me from a 5 Star rating was some personal and very minor issues:
First, 10 plus years separation for me.....just a no, I love a good second chance romance but this was way too long and the fact that he never sought her out after ripping out her heart......ya, that's just a no. Second, the "drama" that ensued once they were together was very lackluster, I failed to even "get" it really, it was a weak twist in the story that didn't work for me. Third, she took him back too fast and too easily, uhhhhh, also a big no for me. He needed to do some serious groveling and after 10 years I was already not "impressed" but that was ok cause she needed no groveling whatsoever and that was disappointing.
OK, so now that I had my rant on to the positives. The writing was great, I loved the storyline but wished it had been executed slightly different but all in all a good one with the exception of that ridiculous drama that ensued. The characters themselves I absolutely adored and loved and wished he had been man enough to come back for her and that she had some pride in making him work HARD to get her back. Other than that, I LOVED them both believe it or not. I loved them entirely but wasn't fond of some of the ways they had been "portrayed" if that makes sense! I sound so on the fence BUT I really liked it so much but there were just parts that I wished had been written differently because the first quarter to half of the book had makings for a total 5 Star read, I especially loved the flashback, the back story of them, it was written brilliantly and I was 100% invested in them. Although I had those minor issues, I never once lost my faith in them, they were true soulmates for sure:)
Any whoo, as usual I am a huge fan of this author and will continue on with this series as well as any other books she writes in the future!

Max had known Harper for years, she was his best friends sister. They were close, she was off limits but he couldn't help himself and their friendship became so much more. Then Max joins the marines promising to return, leaving Harper broken hearted and alone, awaiting for his homecoming. But tragedy strikes and nothing will be the same again.
This was a beautiful story, told sometimes with such heartbreaking, gut wrenching emotion, tears are inevitable and then there's tears of joy as every thing falls into it's rightful place, tissues are a must. Ms. Wilder's story telling was phenomenal, the chemistry was out of this world and the characters were delightful, Max started out as a very charismatic guy, his experiences away had harden him, but he still wanted Harper. But Harper had moved on, and Max's return confused her. This is a second chance romance not to be missed. I highly recommend it!
Another great story from from Ms. Wilder and as always we loved it from cover to cover.
One of the things I love most about this author is that she creates characters for us to love and fall in love with.We have seen Max beforehand as he has graced many pages of her MC series Satan's Fury series and also his boss Nitro.
This was really as sweet love story filled with love, romance ,a bit of suspense and second chances a we loved the plot and it had everything we love reading about that makes a great story. The story had amazing characters that were like-able as well as love-able that added humor and emotion to the story.
For me I always pick a favorite character and mine is going to be Harper.I just loved her from the onset she was filled with spunk and had an awesome sense of humor and was also just so sweet ,kind, and loving.I loved how strong she was to survive the loss of her brother as well as her true love.
I already had a secret crush on Max from the other books he graced and especially the part he played in saving Tristen from a horrible fate.Max is a character of many layers as he can be sweet ,kind has a sense of humor is loyal to those he loves but, he has a whole other side of him where he is deadly and dangerous and mixed up in a world filled with danger, violence and death.
Max has a second chance to win back the heart of a girl that he once loved with his whole heart yet walked away from her without a second glance.Max is up to the task of making up for loss time and a whole lot of groveling on his part.Harper has other ideas when it comes to Max and as much as she still loves him she is not willing to revisit that pain and suffering she has already experienced by him leaving her once as she barely survived the first time around.
A battle of wills collide for both Harper and Max but, one thing is always been true for this couple and that they where soul mates and were meant to be together.I love being on their journey at finding their way back to each other. The story was filled with humor and tons of emotion that caused me to tear up more than once. One of those sweet romances stories that touches ones heart with some really hot sexy love scenes making things even hotter!
The story has a few twist and turns and even a few surprises but most of all we saw Max walk away from one life to start a new one which for him will be more meaningful and loving for sure.Even though this story is a standalone Max's story he is still connected to the Satan's MC and a brother at arms just not and actual brother so we we able to catch a glimpse of a few of those characters from the Satan;s MC series as well.
I love when you can connect with the characters you read about and I was able to do that with this cast of characters as they we easy to love from the onset and had me rooting for their happily ever after knowing they we meant to be together and were true soul mates who deserved to be together.
We loved each and every page.Another page turner that we throughly enjoyed..Another job well done MS. Wilder.
Max is a sexy Hot as sin man. He had a rough childhood and his father was a drunk. He loved just one girl. He went into the marines but while he was gone he lost his way back home.
TO THIS DATE, THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK BY L. WILDER MAX WAS A VERY INTRIGUING CHARACTER IN DAMAGED GOODS AND I WAS EXCITED TO READ HIS BOOK. I LOVED THE BACK STORY, AND GETTING TO KNOW WHERE MAX CAME FROM AND HOW HE GOT TO BE THE MAN THAT HE WAS. HE GREW UP WITH HARPER AND WAS HER BROTHERS, BRODY, BEST FRIEND. BEING YOUNGER THAN MAX AND BRODY SHE WAS JUST THE KID SISTER. MAX WAS ALWAYS GOOD TO HER, BUT JUST SAW HER AS THAT, HIS BEST BUDS KID SISTER. OVER THE YEARS THAT CHANGED, AND HARPER GREW UP, CRUSHING HARD ON MAX. FINALLY MAX NOTICES HER AND THEY SLOWLY GET TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL. MAX AND BRODY MAKE PLANS FOR AFTER HIGHSCHOOL, AND THIS IS WHERE THINGS CHANGE. THEY BOTH GO OFF TO THE MARINES, MAX PROMISES TO COME BACK FOR HARPER, AND SOMETHING HAPPENS THAT MAX BLAMES HIMSELF FOR. IT CHANGES HIM, AND HE FEELS HE CAN NEVER FORGIVE HIMSELF AND ISNT TO BE WITH HARPER. A CHANCE MEETING YEARS LATER HAS ALL THOSE OLD FEELINGS COMING BACK TO BOTH OF THEM. THIS STORY BLEW ME AWAY, I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED BACK STORIES TO BOOKS, BUT THIS ONE WILL BE MY FAVORITE IVE EVER READ!!! IT OPENED UP I FEEL FOR L. WILDER TO GO IN SO MANY DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS WITH HER WRITING. EACH BOOK SHE DOES JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER! I CANT WAIT FOR OTHERS TO READ THIS STORY AND WATCH THEM FALL INLOVE WITH MAX AND HARPER AND THIS SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE STORY!!!
Wow just wow Max’s Redemption is fantastic, I love how we still catch up with the characters from book one. L wilder never disappoints she’s done it again with Max’s Redemption I recommend this book to everyone. This is the story of Max and Harper, it’s full of Romance, love, alpha men, sadness and happiness, I couldn’t put this book down once I picked it up it had me from page one. What happens when you love your brothers best friend but he doesn’t see you that way that is Harper’s reality. But when he finally sees her he joins the marines but when a terrible tragedy happens Max disappears so when Harper bumps into Max after ten years she’s can’t believe she’s actually seeing him after all this time. But the big question is can she be his friend like he wants after he broke her heart. Max can’t believe his luck when he sees Harper again and can’t let her walk away, but knowing how badly he hurt her he still has hopes she will be his friend or more cause he realizes he still loves her she’s always been his He just never thought he would get the chance at a second chance with her.
This was a short story by an author I have really grown to enjoy. But being a bit on the short side didn't change how much I enjoyed everything I was given.
This Brother's Best Friend/Second Chance Romance was packed full of friendship that can feel more like family. It had heartbreak and grief. And most importantly it had love. All kinds of love. The romantic kind between Harper and Max. The love between friends with many of the characters. And even the love parents can feel 4 a child's friend who they feel like they've raised as their own.
This story had me smiling, feeling, and enjoying throughout which is a mark of a good story to me. Max and Harper were both extremely likeable characters. I really liked the progression of their relationship and seeing how it all changed. I also really liked the moments I got with previous characters from other books I've come to love.
Overall a story I'm happy to have had a chance to read. And one I would definitely recommend to L. Wilder fans.
Honesty, I'm not a fan of second chance romance. But that doesn't mean that I don't read them. There is always exception. And Max's Redemption fits the bill.
It was a bit different then others L Wilder books. More sweetnes and lively moments. But that said, there was a heartbreak and since Max is connected to Nitro we get some trouble.
Max... He was everything. Years ago or present. It didn't matter. He always was special. Protective, tender, loving... He won my heart, but... I'm not sure how to express it. To say that I was dissapointed in him seems wrong. So, I just stay with, that I was dissapointed of time Max and Harper lost. But guilt can break your soul. And maybe it wasn't a mistake, for him to walk away, no matter how much painful it was for both of them. Max needed his soul to heal after tragedy hit. Otherwise, neither Max nor Harper could have a forever at the end.
Received an ARC at no cost to author in behalf of Enticement Book Journey Promotions..This one I recommend, it is a second chance story..Max and Harper loved each other years ago, but Max joined military and promised Harper he would return for her, that didn't happen. Harper was heartbroken, but tried to move on, and now Max is back, how can they be friends after so much heartache...Read my friends, it is pretty good. Enjoy!
2,5-3 stars Well this book just didn't work for me.The writing is not that good, and the story plot is interesting but the delivery goes wrong.I couldn't connect with the characters or the story,i didn't feel their chemistry. And the "drama"in the end was not convincing.
This one is a good read but for me it's missing the suspense and action I've come to expect from this author. It's well written with great characters but it just left me wanting more.
I've only read one book from this author and it left such a good impression that it was the reason why I needed to read more from her. Her first book left me with the feeling of wanting more so here I am again ready to embark into a new book. L. Wilder is amazing and her books manage to prove just that. Her writing is intense, heartfelt, raw and sassy when it needs to be. Max's Redemption is her latest release and tells the stories of Max and Harper. These two know each other since kids because Max is Harper's brother best friend. She always had a crush on him and she was amazed when she found out he liked her too. But a tragedy will tear them apart. After a decade their paths will cross again and now what? I just need to enlight that I'm amazed with this book. I knew that this lady would create something amazing and I'm so glad I had the chance to read it. Once I started it I couldn't put it down no matter what... The plot is amazing and the fact that the book is divided in two parts makes reading so much more appealing. The past will be explained as well as the present. The interaction between the characters is intense and raw with so much desire between them that's almost palpable. It's insane. The way the story progressed left me a bit nervous because I didn't know what was about to happen. I was intrigued and curious and I wanted more and more. Let's just say that I wasn't expecting this at all. I haven't read Redemption yet but I really want to because I want to know more about Nitro and Tristen. Another amazing book L. Wilder and I can't wait for more. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Really anything L.Wilder writes I will read. This woman has such amazing talent. Also How Freaking Gorgeous is that cover..... My Favourite cover of her's so far.
Now like the the book may just be her best work yet. From the Prologue I was wooed by these beautiful characters.
Max and Harper are childhood friends turn Love. They grew up together and their love was deep when they acknowledged it. They are so so perfect together. Sweet and Wholesome just like what is supposed to be.
That is until are Freaken devastating, Unthinkable situation happens. And let me tell you it's so heartbreaking for all of them esp Max and Harper. After this devastation Max leaves and that's really fucked up cos when Harper really needed him, he chose to walk away. I really wanted to Slap him. I was heartbroken for Harper.
So years go by and Max is now working for Nitro, dangerous and freaken Hot and Harper is successful at what she wanted to be. Their first run- in I really held my breath. But I have to say that L. Wilder never writes Childish characters so Max and Harper handle everything so maturely. There is no uncesssery drama, or them playing games. Once Max explains I have to feel so much for him and his reasoning for leaving.
Them coming together after all thie time apart was Hot, Sexy and Oh So Swoony. Mac wooed the pants of, Of her. This book really is so beautiful and I loved the message of Forgive Yourself and you see no one else blamed you....
Enjoy Max and his Road to Redemption as much as I did Ladies!!!!
I love a good second chance romance, and this one was very good! And there was a pretty good twist in there.
We met Max in Damaged Goods (Redemption #1) and I know I fell a little bit in love with him! But that was nothing compared to the love I have for him now. Getting to know Max from his teens and seeing everything he went through that brought him to meeting Nitro and going to work for him really brought an extra layer to his character. And I loved Harper, as well. I hated what she had to go through in her younger years but I think it went a long way towards making her such a strong woman.
This was a fantastic story with a fantastic, but somewhat unexpected, ending!!!
I'm really not sure if I liked this book or not. I liked Max and Harper at the beginning. I kind of get why Max left. I'm sure survivors guilt is very real. I guess it's the ten years plus he didn't seek her out. She stumbled upon him. Would he have gone after her otherwise I don't think so. I guess I'd have made him grovel a little bit more. I think within a day or two of seeing each other they're back together like they were never apart. I'd have had so many questions. One being if you loved me how many woman did you sleep with over the years. I don't blame her for wanting companionship but I disliked how she was semi trying to have a relationship with Daniel. If you truly know in your heart you love someone else and you compare everyone to them then you shouldn't attempt a relationship. It's not fair to the other person. However, I am glad that Daniel was not turned into a villain to justify her going back to Max. I'm assuming Ryder and Jay will both get books.

Leslie Wilder is a master when it comes to MC men, I am a fan. I fall in love with the male character in every new book from this author. I can say it over and over again that her MC men are not only hot they literally wear their heart on their sleeve and protect those they love. In Max's Redemption we get a second chance at love romance with heartbreak, action, suspense and passion that's felt off of the pages.
Maxwell Lanheart may have a few issues when it comes to his father's love. When it comes to love, he is able to receive that from his best friends family. The relationship that Max has with the Campbell family is beautiful, but it's the love that he has for his best friend's sister is unquestionable. A tragedy leaves Max feeling responsible and he decides to do what he feels is best for all those involved and that is to walk away from the ones he loves. In the ten years that he walked out on the love of his life, he has been Nitro's right hand man and someone the MC club can count on. Max never thought that he would come face to face with his first love. Now that she is at arms reach will he be able to let her go or will he be able to rekindle the love they had?
Harper Campbell couldn't believe that her brother's best friend feels the same way about her that she feels for him. Their love is young, innocent and carefree, they believed it could last. The moment their life is struck with a nightmare, she never expected Max to leave and never look back. Harper moved on and in the ten years she held onto those memories of her first love, using it as a shield to protect her from heartbreak. She is now a beautiful famous career woman, who at the moment needs to escape and find solace and creativity in a cabin that she's renting. Harper is taken back when she runs into a ghost from her past, will she be able to forgive him for breaking her heart when she needed him the most?
Max's Redemption left me loving L. Wilder even more than I already do. I can't help but want more from her, because her men and storylines leave a lasting impression. I found myself tearing up and wanting these characters to get their happy ending. I love everything about this story and I so hope to hear more from Max and Harper in upcoming stories from The Redemption series. I LOVE THIS STORY SO MUCH!!! Max's big heart stayed with me long after the story ends. 5 Must Read Stars!!!
Get ready for tears and cheers! MAX’S REDEMPTION is the second book in the Redemption series and I have to admit … it was better than DAMAGED GOODS (book 1). Max Lanheart is a drool worthy, slightly broken (in my opinion), broody, alpha male that gets smacked in the face with a blast from the past. I have been interest in Max since being introduced to him, and L Wilder hit it out of the park with his story.
What I really liked was the way that Max had to come to a decision fast when his second chance came around. Max has had 10 years away from his one love, by his own hand, but now she is back. However, she doesn’t want much to do with him because of how hard it was for her to get over him. But Max is not about to let Harper move on without him in her life. He pushes and prods, and insinuates himself into her life and he has no intention of letting go.
The only problem is that Max doesn’t exactly lead the best of lives anymore. He is the bodyguard for a drug runner and he has done things and seen things that he doesn’t think that Harper can handle, but he will not let that stand in his way. His second change is right around the corner and he will take it with both hands and destroy anyone that gets in his way.
And I loved Harper! I felt her heartache and pain when Max left. I felt her angst and hope when he wouldn't leave the second time around. I felt her struggle and drive while she tried to come to terms with the past and the present. She is a very strong character who I instantly bonded with and cheered for throughout the book.
All in all, I really enjoyed this book. The characters and the writing pulled me in immediately and didn’t let me turn away until they were finished with me. I cheered, cried, and smiled as I read and really liked the way all of the players in the book interacted with each other. I ran so many gambets of emotion it was cathartic. There is danger, pain, loss, happiness, and compassion. A truly wonderful story!
I really liked Max's Redemption it's part of the Redemption series can be read as a standalone but I'd recommend that you read Damaged goods because characters from that are mentioned and the hero in this plays a part in the first redemption book . I seriously love all of L. Wilders stories with great characters and story lines that will have you hooked till the very end . This is a second chance love romance the couple have known one another since a young age but a tragedy tore them apart for almost a decade Max and Harper reunite when they least expect it , we get to see how their relationship built up from being just friends to blossoming into something more when there are little glimpses of their past . Harper has always loved Max and when they finally get together she is over the moon with happiness but when he goes away my heart broke for her she's funny , smart , beautiful , and kind . Max felt something for the heroine but not knowing what it was until one night he sees her laughing acrossed from him he can't get her out of his head when he leaves her he feels guilt and thinking he's saving her leaves it really hurt to see him blame himself but once he has a chance to be with his girl there is no stopping him . When they are back together their more mature , more intense , and more sexy times . Can't wait to read whats to come by this author always looking forward to her next story . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero=9 heroine=9 secondary characters=9 Chemistry=10 steam= 7 romance= 7 humor= 4 darkness level= 4 action=3 mystery= 4 enjoyment=7 angst=2 story line=9 Story ending=10 character development= 10 pacing= 10 cover= 10 stars= 4 author= 10 would I recommend this book=yes would I re read this book= yes would I read future books by this author= yes
It's Max's turn to have a story. This tale of redemption was a sweet burn. Like swallowing a sip of scotch on a winter's day. I was wondering where the author would take me and she surprised me. I did not expect this one to play out the way it did and I LOVE IT!
Max has a past that he would assume forget. His life was altered on a fateful night and shattered days later. The haunts of his mind refused to let him rest. REfused to let him accept the infinite finality of that night. He lands a job with Nitro and resigns himself to a life of solitude and regrets. When Harper stumbles into his life again, he has a shockingly strong jolt and a sliver of hope for a second chance. Now he has to work for his second chance to become ever after.
Harper is lost, she is trying to find direction for her job and personal life. She is hoping the time away will allow her to find it. She never expected to see Max. He brings open wounds she never let heal. Max is her balm to the scars of life. She will have a second chance to find out if her heart and soul will be home and at peace. I enjoyed Harper's personality. She is feisty, strong, and resourceful. When unlikely forces try to alter her path, she will want nothing more than to fall into Max's embrace.
While a small role in this story, I loved Harper's Mom. The voice of reason, understanding, and wisdom is warm and heartfelt.
Nitro and Tristen are active in this story. There are so many moments Max has with each of them. Tristen and Max have such a brother/sister bond. I really wanted to know how Max and they faired in the future. This was probably the only thing missing for me.
The conflicts that arose, were not what I expected. I loved that the author kept me on my toes. I had NO idea she would take us where she did, but I'm thrilled beyond belief.
A fantastic read and I was excited to find out that I would be able to see these characters in a previous book and that they may or may not be seen in one of the MC series by this author. You will not only fall in love with Max and Harper in this story, but it will leave you wanting to go back and grab, Nitro as this is the story of Nitro and Tristen who we see in this book. Your emotions are tested in this story though, you will cry, laugh and be like, “NO!” you cannot twist it this way or that way. Max and Harper have known each other for years and her brother, Brody is Max’s BF. Harper has always had a crush on Max, but Max never saw her that way until a scene changes this. I love the bond that they had throughout the story and you truly feel for both of these characters before and after an event that has you shaking your kindle chanting, “this cannot be happening”. Your heart breaks right along with them. Fast forward ten years and you can see these two are still struggling with their feelings, more so Max as he still blames himself. Running into Max after all this time has not only Harper’s heart pumping, but ours as well. It won’t be easy, but these two know that this is their chance at the second chance for them to get out what happened all those years ago and why he pushed her away. Her heart was never over Max and vice versa. Max was always the protector from a younger age to the present and being a Marine can definitely change you so while you want to hate him, you cannot. You will see why he did what he did. I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a second chance romance, dealing with loss, or a touch of MC in a story. You will not be disappointed and I cannot wait to read more from this author.
I love Leslie Wilder’s writing, and I’ve been a fan of hers since she released her first book. She writes sweet, sexy, suspenseful romances, and her heroes are bad boys who are good guys. It’s an addictive combination, and I’m always anxious for Wilder’s next book.
Max’s Redemption is the second book in the Redemption series. Max and Harper grew up together, and he was her brother’s best friend and practically a member of the family. In high school, Max and Harper fell in love. After Max graduated, he left for the military and everything changed for him there in the blink of an eye. In the wake of tragedy, Max makes a difficult decision to end things with Harper, and it’s ten long years before they see each other again.
I love a second chance romance, and this one was fantastic. Max and Harper were still very much in love with each other, and both of them were still feeling the pain of losing the other. Max has some work to do to win Harper over, and he puts in that effort in totally swoon-worthy fashion. A suspenseful background plot with a twist I did not see coming along with sizzling chemistry round this story into an exciting, passionate, emotional read that I could not put down.
Max & Harper fell in love when they were teenagers, and knew that they were it for each other. However, Max joined the military, and after a tragedy struck, he couldn't be around Harper anymore, so he left her. She tried to move on, and forget him, but it didn't work. But fate stepped in, and she ran into him 10 years later, and while she wanted him to leave her alone as her heart couldn't take another break from him, Max wasn't going to let anything stand in his way to fix the biggest mistake of his life. OMG the feels! There was no leaky eyes with this story, it was a full on flood of tears more than once. I loved Harper so much, and Max as well. However, Max needed a beating for leaving like he did, although I understood some of his reasoning, I still wanted to choke him out. But there's no doubt that they were perfect together, even after all those years! And the twists had my heart racing, with the biggest one coming out of left field shocking me the most. Nobody will see that one coming! I LOVE L. Wilder's talented writing style, and she's one of my biggest addictions, so of course, I CANNOT wait for the next book to come out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
I love this author and would read, well, toilet paper if she wrote on it. Having said that this was a different kind of book from her. Don't get me wrong it still had all the attributes that I love and expect but it also offered up sweeter/gentler moments that broke my heart. This story captured me, taking ahold and not letting go. I was transported in this world and left reeling with its series of events. Max and Harper are some of the most amazing characters but still felt like regular people, ones that I would call friends. This story explores issues such as loss, forgiveness, and second chance love. Yes, you still get elements true to the MC world that Max is a part of but even in that role I was SO SURPRISED... YEP leaving you hanging cause you have to read to know what I am talking about (haha). You also won't be disappointed because Max and Harper maintain a level of hotness that Ms. Wilder is known for... Fan yourself steamy (wink wink). I highly recommend this book especially if you are an MC gal like me. Happy Reading!!!
I absolutely freakin loved this latest installment in the Redemption Series!!!! This is the story of Max and Harper. They knew each other through her older brother and fell in love. Max and her brother went to the Marines and only Max returned home. He felt immense guilt and felt that leaving Harper would be for her own good. 10 years later their paths cross and Max knows that this is his chance to prove to her that she is his one and only. He can't let her get away from him even though he knows he hurt her badly. All he wants is a chance to prove that he can be the man she needs and no one will love her the way he does.
I am a huge sucker for second chance romances and this story delivers that in spades. It was such a beautifully written story and I was rooting for them throughout to get their HEA. This is such a good story and I would recommend to everyone. I can't wait for the next installment in this series...I am sure it is gonna be phenomenal. Well done!!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
