This in-depth exploration sheds light on the root of our problems and illustrates how they can be remedied with God’s help. It shows how we can pray for the Holy Spirit so that we have the assurance that we have received Him.
This book was written almost as a testimony/response to a 40 day prayer and devotional by Dennis Smith. At times it can come off as a book written to get you to read another, but that is not the case.
The book is Adventist based, quoting Ellen G. White, a founder of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, but does a good job to use her message as it was meant to be, a guide to help understand the greater message of the bible. For me this has been a good thing, as it is hard to fully pull from a book written by another faith who has very altered views. This book does a great job to source all they say.
You do not need to read the other books mentioned in this one, but they are all great for further study into a deeper faith in Christ.
This book was given to me, and ignited what's already been stirring in my heart lately. The content was so refreshing, and taken from the source. It could use some grammatical editing though. It was good preparation for going into the 50 Days of Prayer book. It kept me focused on what's not of this world.
The theology is almost as bad as the writing. The amount of times the author lists testimonies about how his book changed people entire lives and asks the reader to go back and read his book over 6–10 times to really “get it” should have made him blush for all the snake oil salesmanship. Absolutely disappointing that the SDA church pushes these authors and their money grabby books.
Mooie inzichten, krachtiger gebedsleven na dit boek! Persoonlijk wel oppassen dat je geen juk maakt van het vervuld zijn van de Geest, dat werkt juist averechts
