Heartthrob Ty Walker always gets what he wants. So when he announces on a press tour that he's ready to give up his playboy ways and start a family, he's confident the universe will provide him with the fairy tale future he's envisioned - and completely unprepared to come home a week before Christmas to find an eleven-year-old girl sitting on his doorstep with a note claiming she's his daughter.
Ty has never been on close terms with responsibility, but even his oh-so-capable assistant can't wave her magic wand and fix this one for him - not when she's about to fly home for the holidays for a family wedding.
Taking her movie star boss and his potential daughter home for Christmas isn't on any of Andi Cooper's carefully crafted agendas. She knows Ty is nothing more than an overgrown child who uses his heart-melting smile to get away with murder and she's immune to that smile...until she sees it on the face of a vulnerable little girl.
Clement, Minnesota, here they come.
But when they arrive in her small town, Andi begins to see a different side of her boss. Could there be more to the playboy than she thought? Could he actually become a good father? And could a movie star really be interested in his glamour-less assistant?
Could they actually become the family he was wishing for all along?
Contemporary romance author Lizzie Shane was born in Alaska and still calls the frozen north home, though she can frequently be found indulging her travel addiction. Thankfully, her laptop travels with her and she has written her way through all fifty states and over fifty countries.
Lizzie has been honored to win the Golden Heart Award and HOLT Medallion, and has been named a finalist three times for Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA Award®, but her main claim to fame is that she lost on Jeopardy!
I never really thought I had a thing for Christmas romances. They’ve interested me in the past and they always hold the promise of being amazing, but they never quite live up to the promise. All He Wants For Christmas not only held up but it surpassed everything I thought I was going to get!
Andi has been Ty’s assistant for a few years now. He’s branded himself well and is one of the “sexiest men alive” stars in Hollywood. Andi usually endures his over the top charm with an eye roll, but when an eleven year old shows up on his doorstep with claims she’s his child, she begins to see a different side of to the egomaniac. And she absolutely cannot fall for him. Her past dictates that’s not an option.
Everything comes easily to Ty. Without even having to ask, his life is organized and set out for him via his assistant, Andi. When his unknown daughter arrives he’s suddenly stumbling through insecurities. It soon becomes obvious there isn’t a quick fix to the issue. Andi is his only salvation at this point and he manipulates his way into her Christmas visit home. But soon he’s trying to worm himself into her heart and it’s the biggest challenge of his life.
”Because while he’d always been confident he could have any woman he wanted, Andi was the exception. She’d always been the exception. The one person who saw through all his acts.”
This was a sweet, heart-warming read that had me tearing up several times towards the end. The characters are all well-developed but I especially enjoyed watching Ty come into his true self. He’d been hiding behind his professional persona for so long, he wasn’t sure who he was anymore. Andi also has some evolving to do as she must let go of past hurts and insecurities.
This is a relatively fast read with very little steam – closed door – and internal angst rather than drama caused by outside forces. I felt Ty’s daughter Jade often was a placeholder rather than the integral part of the story she could have been, but this book is dealing with a lot of stuff and I’m sure the length wouldn’t allow for more from her character. However, what was there was heart wrenching at times and absolutely heart melting good at others.
As cheesy as “Christmas Miracles” can be, this one was spot on perfect! It hit a sensitive place in my heart and I connected with every part of the miracle…thus the teary eyes. I loved it and the warm epilogue pushed this book into an even better read.

Totally fun, escapist entertainment! Got this as a free download and I am so glad I did. This was a cute holiday romance and just what I needed as the last day or two have been super-crappy (I was able to read a bunch of this this morning while in the ER getting tests run to be sure that I'm just clumsy and not anything worse...I had a fall and whammed the right side of my face...ouch)
This was a sweet story and really there was nothing that was too unexpected, but that did not make it less fun. Ty is a sexy bit of man candy and Andi is his personal assistant. Just before the Christmas holidays, they arrive at his home to find a young girl who has a note indicating that she's his daughter. In order to give them time to sort it out away from Hollywood and prying eyes, Andi takes them back home to Minnesota with her for her brother's wedding. There's lots of humor and a little of heart-melting action too as Andi finds out that Ty has a depth to him that she had not glimpsed before. This was a quick and entertaining read.
This is book is a Holiday novel for the Bouquet Catchers series. It is about Andi Cooper, assistant to TV star Ty Walker. Andi moved to California after a difficult divorce and went to work for Ty. She seldom goes back to her hometown of Clement, Minnesota but it is Christmas and her younger brother is getting married so she really can’t avoid it. Ty has been doing the talk show circuit promoting his new show and has been telling the interviewers that he’s ready to find ‘The One’, settle down and start a family. Andi finds him shallow, spoiled and charming, however, she considers herself immune to his charming nature and good looks. As they return to Ty’s home the day before Andi is to go to Clement for the holiday they find a young girl on the front porch who says she is Ty’s daughter. In order to sort out the situation out of reach of the media Andi takes Ty and Jade home to Clement with her.
This may be one of Lizzie Shane’s best. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The premise is entertaining and the characters are charming, but flawed enough to make them interesting.
I was provided a free, advance copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review.
Super fun read about a self-absorbed but lovable movie star and his usually unflappable assistant..total opposites attract! Ty is tired of his image and decides to announce in an interview that he's looking for "The One". Andi is less than convinced that her playboy boss is serious...and besides, it has nothing to do with her, she's immune to those charms, Yeah, sure she is! When Ty gets a surprise visitor...in the form of a 11 year old daughter he knew nothing about...Andi decides to take them both home with her for the holidays, and her brother's wedding, to hide out for a while. Will small town life show Ty and Andi a different side of each other...and themselves? While All He Wants For Christmas is part of The Bouquet Catchers series, I never felt like I was missing anything by not reading all of the previous books. Great characters, witty and funny dialog and an engaging couple make this Christmas tale one of Lizzie Shane's best reads!
Cute and quick read. Andrea, aka Andi, worked as the media director for Ty Walker, now a superstar actor, when he was just starting out. He "invented" his persona, so the studio fired Andi, but, Ty hired her to be his personal assistant immediately after her firing.
Andi has baggage - she was dumped by her "perfect" husband when he learned that she was infertile. Andi and her ex-husband grew up in the same small Montana town and he was the town's "golden boy," so everyone assumed the marriage's failure was Andi's fault. She never told anyone, not even her large, close-knit family, the truth. Instead, she moved to L.A. to start her life over.
Now, several years later, she's anxiously looking forward to going home for Christmas for her brother's wedding. But, just as her last day's activities are coming to an end, she and Ty arrive at his home for an EW interview only to find an 11-year-old girl sitting on his doorstep. The girl, Jade, claims to be Ty's daughter. Ty begs Andi to help him with Jade and finagles his way into going home with Andi - and taking Jade - for Christmas.
This is a cute story about people finding themselves and accepting that life is never perfect.
This book is the fourth in the Bouquet Catchers series, but can be read as a standalone book.
Ty is a famous actor who is used to having the world, and women, fall at his feet. Andi is his personal assistant and she is immune to Ty's charms, having spent years cleaning up his social life and personal engagements. They arrive one day to Ty's home to find a lovely 11 year old girl with Ty's eyes and features. She claims to be his daughter. Her deceased Mom fits the right timeframe in Ty's college days.
Ty has no idea what to do with a child. Andi is going home to small town Minnesota for the first time since her divorce for her brother's Christmas wedding. Almost no one, including some of her family, know the real reason for her divorce. Ty needs Andi's help and begs to come along with his daughter to Minnesota. Andi feels humiliated and in a moment of weakness, declared Ty her boyfriend to the guests at her parents home, including her ex and his new wife. Ty plays the role. In this Christmas short story, fact and fiction mix and all the while both adults bond with Ty's preteen daughter. Can the three be a family of their own?
The thing that made me snort-laff in this book was Ty Walker’s version of the “perfect” family: think perfect children, a perfect super-model wife, a nanny that takes care of the children… Yeah. Like THAT is gonna happen! I get that the Ty Walker character is written as a pampered, Hollywood star however I really did like him. Even with the typical “bad” characteristics, he is never an alpha jerk, IMHO, and has a childlike quality about him that is endearing. Andi Cooper, his oh-so-suffering (at least to her!) very capable assistant is always there for him and he relies on her to basically run his life. And then a bombshell drops on his doorstep…in the shape of an eleven year old girl who says she’s his daughter. Gulp!
The holiday story that follows was so very perfect for this time of year. I enjoyed it, it made me laugh, it made me take sides in Andi’s and Ty’s little game of heart-tugging, and I never lost faith in Ty. I really enjoyed it and recommend. Grab a hot chocolate, a throw, find a comfy chair and enjoy!
This story has some vague on-page sexual situations, but it fades to black rather than getting explicit, and it has some cursing including just a few f-bombs.
Ty and Andi were both really likable characters. Ty was a bit smarmy at first, but as he shook off his I'm A Big Deal persona, he really grew into the kind of book hero that I love to read about. Andi was great from the start, I loved how unaffected she was by Ty as a big shot, and how she called him on his crap. Her unwillingness to treat him as if he were a king made me just adore her. Her willingness to sass him without hesitation was also incredible. Although I loved Ty and Andi together, watching Ty and Jade learn how to navigate a relationship made me swoon so hard. Watching Ty fall for his daughter was beautiful – their Christmas morning bonding was my favorite part of the book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sweet Christmas story or a fake relationship story – this is a great example of both of those things.
Ty, a successful actor is usually a ladies man...however Andi his assistant isn’t interested in anything other than her job...that is until his daughter whom he didn’t know he had shows up on his doorstep. Andi helps take care of Jade and ends up loving her and wanting Ty to step up to be the loving father. Ty is nervous and scared until him and Jade start talking and they learn they have a lot in common. (Ty invited himself and Jade to go home with Andi for Christmas). When they do he ends up learning about Andi’s ex husband that left her because she couldn’t bear children...and this makes him mad. He has already started falling for Andi and just hasn’t told her. And when he does Andi doesn’t believe him and shakes it off...but soon realizes he does love her and she loves him.
Andi and Ty are a wonderful fit and add Jade in the mixture and they make a beautiful family. This is a story of love, fighting feelings, and giving in to them.
Andi is the personal assistant for Ty, a Hollywood heartthrob. All the women want him, except Andi. After getting dumped by her husband who was everyone's darling, including her family's, she is not impressed. Ty is self-centered. It is all about him. But he is so kind and friendly that no one seems to care if he leaves women trailing behind him. He and Andi come home from an event to find a young girl sitting on his porch with a note that says she is his daughter and she is now his responsibility. Just what he needs. He knows nothing about kids and taking care of them. He just wants to get her back to her aunt. Except they don't know where the aunt is. Ty and Jade, his supposed daughter, end up accompanying Andi to her hometown for her brother's wedding. Andi works with Ty to see he does care for Jade and Ty confronts Andi's husband who dumped her and now is rubbing his family in her face. A story of a man growing up, a woman coming to terms with her past, and a young girl who finds a home.
First off, beautiful cover! The content inside the cover is just as beautiful. I'm not usually into actor characters, but Ty won me over. When the book started out, I wasn't even sure Ty was going to be the love interest of Andi. She really, really didn't like him, even though she was his personal assistant (or maybe because). Ms. Shane had me totally fooled. She had Andi coaching him in polite responses to people, as if to point out he couldn't be a nice person on his own. The transition that takes place between the characters is gradual enough to be believable. The addition of a little girl who appears to be Ty's daughter and abandoned by an uncle adds humanity to a man that Andi (and I) had found wanting. His willingness to help Andi out by pretending to be her boyfriend at a family wedding helped them both see the softer side of each other. All He Wants for Christmas is a delightful, emotional, heartwarming book that I was so glad I read! Ms. Shane has a winner here.
Shallow Show Star finds he has an 11-year-old daughter left on his doorstep, and with the help of his PA (after having invited himself and the daughter to her family Christmas), he finds not only the Christmas spirit, but spreads Christmas cheer and proves he's not as shallow as everyone thinks. Sounds familiar? Yeah, and very very far-fetched, also there were some, what to call them - inconsistencies? convenient change of minds? - in this story which made me roll my eyes. It was like one of those grand Hollywood Romances, everything comes together of course for the HEA. The protagonists were too superficial, the 11-year-old completely unbelievable. The narration style did make up a bit for this too sweet, too convenient, too much of everything - it was good, fluent, and humorous. All in all, if you can live with far-fetched and partially completely unrealistic, this is not too bad a story and was quite entertaining.
Ty Walker is a spoiled playboy actor who doesn’t know responsibility, but he sure knows women. Andi Cooper is Ty’s personal assistant. She’s awesome at her job, and she sees right through his sexy persona. Ty and Andi have a great working relationship – she takes care of organizing his life, and he lets her. Right up until an 11-year-old girl shows up on his doorstep. His daughter!
Is it time for Ty to grow up? Can he really be a good father when he doesn’t even take care of himself? Can he do it all without Andi? Well, even Ty knows the answer to that last question, but now he needs to convince Andi.
Lizzie Shane has written a wonderful story of what makes a family. I really enjoyed Ty and his transformation from player to dad, and how he stood up for Andi with her family and her ex. This is a sweet Christmas story that will put a smile on your face. Enjoy!
Ty Walker is an irresponsible superstar movie actor and Andi Cooper is his down-to-earth fix-it-all personal assistant. When Ty announces on national t.v. he's ready to start a family, he has no idea that when he comes home just before Christmas, there'll be a young girl on his door step with a note saying she's his daughter. Jade's mother was his college girlfriend, and she's been living with her Aunt Izzy for the past few months since her mom was killed in a car accident. Andi gets stuck trying to figure out what to do with them both, while she's dealing with her own demons of having to go home to Minnesota for her brother's wedding. Her own marriage in her small home town had ended very badly, and she knew her ex was still part of the "family". Andi ends up taking Ty and Jade home with her to MN and the magic of Christmas helps them become the family they all want.
All I could think about was Nerd meets Playboy when I read this book. I don’t know why I thought Andi was a nerd but she had everything organized to the enth degree. She works for Ty, the playboy movie star, as an assistant but more as a professional wife or mother. Nothing happens in his professional life if she doesn’t organize it. His personal life is up to him though. And he completely takes her for granted until a daughter he never knew he had literally shows up on his doorstep. She definitely can’t make that go away! A light hearted love story wrapped around the holiday season. I think you’ll enjoy it no matter who you are!
I was provided an ARC by the author for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was promised or received for this review.
Andi being his personal assistant was very demanding. Now telling the audience he was ready to settle down, and have a family. Driving toward the house and seeing a girl about ten, and those eyes, waiting outside. Paper telling him, ‘you want to be a father, meet your daughter,Merry.Christmas.’ He didn’t understand, he was raised by a single mother, and he never took chances. Andi as usual took control of the situation, she was to go on a vacation the next day. Jade’s aunt went thru her mother’s things when she died, saying they knew one another in college. Time away, Andi see’s a different side of him. Then there is the aunt and the guardian, who will get permanent custody of Jade, nice family story.
Television and movie star Ty Walker seemed to have it all and it was Andi Cooper's job to keep the star organized, on schedule to all his public appearances and make his life run smoothly for him.
All of that changed a few days before Christmas, when an eleven year old girl, Jade Garcia showed up on his front doorstep. He quickly learned that what he thought he wanted wasn't All He Wants for Christmas. He needs Andi's help and this includes a trip to her family home in rural Minnesota.
Clements, Minnesota is a small town full of Christmas spirit and her family is right in the middle of the celebrations. This is a sweet romance with the resolution of old problems for Andi and a new deeper life for Ty making it a really good story.
Ty Walker lives his life as the actor he is. He has a PA Andi Cooper that handles everything, however when they get to his house and there is a teenager there, the fun begins. Andi is going home for the holiday's and has no time to divert another one of Ty's problems. Together they get it together and take a trip they figure things out. It turns out to be more than they expected.
They learn more about each other than they ever would have. They also see what it would be like to be a family. This is a cute Christmas story where the presents are things you would never ask for. It was a cute book.

A delightful holiday story that centers on Andi Cooper and Ty Walker. Andi works for Ty who is an immature spoiled actor. Andi is heading home for Christmas when circumstances change and Andi is stuck dragging Ty and his surprise visitor with her. Ty has decided that it is time for him to marry and in his mind he has the perfect wife and family all picked out. However, spending time with Andi and being reminded of what life is all about change his mind on what a family looks like. It is time for Ty to grow up and for Andi to take a chance. A worthwhile read. You won’t be disappointed. **I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.**
What a delightful story. The first book by Lizzie Shane's I've read. She is a terrific author. I could not put it down. Ty Walker, big time star in L.A., a playboy, gorgeous, sexy but he wanted more from life, to settle down and have a family. His personal assistant, Andi, was a take no nonsense kind of woman. Perfect for him. He gets a daughter, an eleven-year-old, one he never knew existed until she appeared on his doorstep. Absolutely loved the banter between Ty and Andi. Andi made the story come alive for me. The Christmas tree scene was hilarious. This book is a must read. Highly recommend.
I picked up this book after dumping another book after reading only 20%, and what a great decision that was! I was hooked from page one by flawed but likeable characters and a plot made fresh by excellent writing, realistic emotion, believable growth, and more. No tragic heroes magically healed by love, no incomparable beauties. Rather, a wonderful cast of down-to-earth folks who struggle with their own demons and find strength to be more than they thought possible from their oh-so-different but just-right opposites. Bonus: Ronance without graphic and unnecessary sex scenes.
Could Jade's guardian angel bring three unlikely individuals together as a family? Somehow the miracle takes place, as their relationships take a turn for the good of everyone involved. Past wrongs are righted as Ty gets to know the 11 year old daughter he never knew existed, until after her mother was dead. The truth regarding Andi's divorce becomes known to her family and they surround her with love and support while letting her ex know the truth was out and he was no longer welcome at their future family gatherings. You will enjoy reading how love along with perhaps help from an angel unites this family!
What a wonderful holiday read! Andi is a personal assistant to Ty, a gorgeous playboy actor in LA. Neither of them are what they seem. Behind her efficient performance is a deeply hurt woman, determined to keep herself walled off. Ty plays the role people want to see, sexy, shallow, charming, but really is kind and generous and a bit lonely. Throw in an unexpected preteen, a Christmas wedding in a small town and a smarmy ex and its a page turner! Great story…it could be a wonderful Christmas movie some day!
I thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced read! I found the story to be engaging, with some moments of deep reflection, humor & teasing! I literally sat down and read this book cover to cover with no breaks. It is rare for a book to grab me like this one did! I loved all of the characters. Each one had their own wrong perceptions of one another, but found common ground. My only complaint is I don't think the cover matched the characters and it just irked me, but otherwise this is a must read if you love holiday stories!

All He Wants for Christmas is the fourth book in The Bouquet Catchers series. Andi has worked for Ty long enough that she is not swayed by his charm. But when a girl shows up saying she is his daughter, things truly begin to change. They all head to Andi's hometown for a wedding, and she sees a new side to Ty, a side she really likes. Could there be more to him than meets the eye? I really enjoyed this story. Definitely one to pick up!
Andi worked as Ty's personal assistant. He was a good tv\movie star, but he has announced that he would to lose the playboy image and start a family. Little did he know it would be sitting at his doorstep in an 11 year old. Jade was his daughter he didn't know from a college girlfriend. Now he has to ask Andi for help so they went to her hometown for her brothers wedding and put away some ghost.
A sweet romantic story with a sweet ending. Ty, the heartthrob of Hollywood, wants a family. Little does he know a family is about to fall into his lap. First Jade arrives, his daughter that he never knew he had. Then he realizes Andi, his personal assistant, is just what he needs to make his a "better man". Will she fall in love with him bringing a happy ending, or beginning as it may be, to his life.
