In April 2015 Shannon retired from the US Army with 23 years of service as a Unit Supply Sergeant. She is a mother of 4 children and a grandma to 2 beautiful Granddaughters. She has been married 26 years to her husband, Ken. They reside in Staunton, IL a small town along Old Route 66.

"...get ready for a wild ride."

Snowed In is a quick and steamy read about a military man and the girl who got away! Jackson Tolliver is an injured soldier who is struggling with his illness. Jackson's best friend is worried about him and offers up his family lodge in Colorado in order for him to get away from it all. Annabelle has just broken things off with her fiance and she is needing an escape. Although she loves her life, she never forgot about Jackson (her brother's best friend). The spark that exists between them from years ago is about to be reignited as both discover each other at the cabin.

Overall, Snowed In is a quick and steamy forbidden romance that is certain to appeal to readers who enjoy plenty of passion and steam. Due to the length of the read, the character development wasn't in-depth enough for me and yet, I was certainly entertained. This was my first read by this author and I would not hesitate to read more!

This is the first book I have read from this author and I already want more. I love military romance stories and this story made me love it even more. This short story is part of the Warranted series. I fell in love with the characters immediately. This is the perfect read for the holidays or just to lift your spirits. I devoured this amazing story in only one sitting.

Annabelle is a hard working young woman that is in charge of her family business. She is tired and very frustrated with how her life is turning out. Annabelle finally decides she needs to get away. She ends up going to her family’s cabin in the Rocky Mountains. Annabelle has a lot of time to think about her true love and how much she misses him. What she doesn’t know is he is closer to her than she thinks. Will Annabelle find her true self in the mountains or will she find something else?

Jackson is a soldier that is recovering from a traumatic incident that happened across seas. He is tired physically and emotionally. Jackson’s buddy tells him to go to his family’s cabin to recover for a while. He takes him up on his offer and goes to Colorado. Jackson starts to remember why he let his love of his life go. He wants to make her his but she is untouchable in many ways. Will Jackson ever get the love of his life back or will he end up alone?

This novella kept me on my toes the whole entire time. The storyline has it all romance, devastation, and forgiveness. You will fall in love with these characters. Annabelle is a hard worker that needs a break. She is a sweetheart that wants to find the love that she deserves. Jackson is a beautiful man that is also smart. He is a true hero in my eyes. The way he treats Annabelle will make you swoon. The love between these two characters blew my mind. They are perfect for each other. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your toes curl. This author will have you laughing and she will also bring tears to your eyes. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen between these two characters next.

Snowed In by (A Warranted Series) by Shannon Nemechek is a military romance and a read that made my emotions go up and down. I love a story that makes you feel like there is a way for true love but can it be conquered?
Jackson Tolliver is a mix of Dwayne Johnson and Tim McGraw with the nickname McGraw, so needless to say he is very good looking. His mind is twisted and war scarred. He needs some time alone to do nothing but think. So when his buddy Andrew gives him a birthday present of a plane ticket, a credit card and a ride to the airport, to go to Andrew’s family cabin, Jackson jumps on the chance. Mountains, brews a blazing fire and no one around sounds like the best gift ever.
Annabelle is overworked, under-staffed and very frustrated. She needs a week of nothing to do but relax and regroup so she decides the best place to go is the family cabin. There Annabelle can relax, no decisions, no work, and definitely no MEN. Annabelle had the surprise of her life just days before her wedding day. But there is one man Annabelle can’t get off her mind.
So the question is, if you were at a cabin and the man of your dreams was there and the two of you could go nowhere because of being snowed in what would you do? Could you convince him he is the one for you and you are the one to help him heal and clear his mind, would you do it? Or will you always be the little sister?
Shannon Nemechek has written a fantastic quick read! I love the characters and her writing flows like a movie. I would recommend this to anyone over the age of 18.

Snowed in! Annabelle and Jackson instant attraction, will they finally act on it? Annabelle needs to escape after finding her fiancee in a ccompromising position. The cabin a perfect solution all she wants is to forget about men, well maybe not all men. A girl still needs a fantasy and Jackson will always fit that bill. Jackson is going to spend his leave alone in his apartment, until his buddy gives him 14 days of solitude at his family cabin.
The struggles our military faces is front and center for Jackson as he tries to overcome his injuries. Will he finally let Annabelle in? Find out what happens when your Snowed in!

Love the characters and story line. Leaves you wanting more. Definitely well worth reading!

I loved this story. Its a quick read but an amazing one. I loved the characters Annabelle and Jackson. Staff Sergeant Jackson is healing after received in Afghanistan and his friend Andrew thought he could use 14 days in his family cabin in Colorado. But little did they know Andrew's little sister would be there to unwind as well. Will they finally give in to the fantasies they have of each other and fall in love?

This short novella gives us some background and an intro to Annabelle and Jackson. Jackson is looking to do so r&r at his friends cabin in the mountains and Annabelle is running away to clear her head. They didn't expect each other but does their past makes this a good or bad thing.

wow.... let me just start by saying this tied in so well with the warranted series. I simply can not wait for warranted Desires now.
we get some Raleigh and Samantha, but holy smokes do we get Jackson and Anna!
Jackson is special Forces and got injured in Afghanistan in an ambush its been a long struggle, He pushed away his one true Love who wrote letters to him and shared a passionate few minutes together before deployment.
Anna the baby sister of Jackson's best friend, a hard working girl who just couldn't get over Jackson and caught her fiancé in a serious situation at work (LMAO). Both end up at the Bryant family cabin in Evergreen Co, without knowing the other will be there, Will being Snowed In together be steamy hot? .....Read the book and find out!) I really enjoyed this short story getting to know Staff Sergeant Jackson Tolliver and Annabelle Bryant. Jackson is Annabelle´s brothers friend in the army who she has been in love with since they first meet,with running the family´s brewery empire Annabelle is tired and overworked so goes to the family´s cabin in Colorado little does she know her brother has sent Jackson there as well. Jackson still lives with the demons and his friend Andrew sends him to there family cabin for 2 weeks to relax, Little does Jackson know the very person who been staring in all his erotic fantasies is there too. Will Jackson and Annabelle finally tell each other how much they love one another. This was a great introduction to Jackson and Annabelle can´t wait to read more about them.

I grabbed this book off Amazon for free when I knew that I would be seeing this author at an author signing.
I love novella’s because they give you a feeling for an author and their series. If I like a novella for a series I am more inclined to read a whole book in the series. Well this book gave me a great bit of insight to this authors writing. I gotta tell ya, I am super excited to read more!
So this short but sweet story does end in kinda a cliffhanger but not really a cliff hanger?? Does that make sense?? In a way this book is set up for as a serial, IMO, then a novella…does that kinda clarify my comments about it being cliff hangery???
Annabelle and Jackson have had it bad for each other for a long time. When they both end up staying at Annabelle’s family cabin at the same time and don’t know it….wow baby does it get steamy.
I loved that we, the reader, knew both the characters were at the house together but it took a few chapters for the characters to discover it and WHAT A WAY TO DISCOVER IT!!!
This is a super quick, steamy read but one I can’t wait to finish!

Snowed In (A Warranted Series Novella ) by Shannon Nemechek is a military romance book that I couldn't put down once I started reading. This is not my first book by Shannon and it won't be the last.I love her style of writing and her ability to grab your attention from the beginning and keep it till the end.She does such an amazing job that ypu feel like your apart of the story. Her characters are amazing and the flow with the story.This story is about Annabelle and Jackson. Annabelle is a young,smart hard working woman who not only works for but takes care of the family business. She's needs some time away to regroup, she's exhausted,a bit frustrated and very over worked . Annabelle decides a trip to the family cabin in Colorado. Jackson is a solider that is recovering still from being involved with an ambush,that left him broken (physically and mentally  scarred) He's still having the nightmares and feels like half the man he used to be.His friend Andrew offers his family cabin for the two weeks Jackson has for leave.He decides maybe a getaway is what he needs to sort out how he's been feeling. Off to the cabin he goes..I love that both of these two have secret feelings for one another . Annabelle has been in love with Jackson for some time and Jackson knows without a doubt that Annabelle is his one true love and he plans on telling her but there's just one little obstacle to get over first,the brother/best friend  Andrew . He's also feeling like less than a man since his injury and doesn’t feel like he's enough for her.This story had my emotions all over the place, I felt the hurt both of these characters are going through and it breaks my heart. Jackson still has a long road to full recovery, but what he doesn’t realize is Annabelle longs for him and thinks about him often,it's been a while since these two have seen each other. After he got injured he pushed everyone away.Call it what you will but these two being at the cabin at the same time is pure fate.I was on the edge of my seat rooting for both of them hoping and praying they would run into each other and get what they both wanted.Di they finally get the chance? Is Faye really on there side?Do these two finally confess their feelings for one another? I can't wait for the next book to come out.I highly recommend this amazing love story ypu won't be disappointed I know I wasn’t.

The story Snowed In (A Warranted Series Novella) by Shannon Nemechek is a military/romance book. This is an amazing story that I loved reading. It drew me in from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down until I had read the end. This is a beautiful love story. It takes you into the mind and feelings of Annabelle and the man that she is in love with. You also read of his thoughts and feelings as well. Annabelle is a hard-working woman who takes care of the family business. She is exhausted, over-worked, and frustrated. She needs time to regroup. She has decided to spend some time away at the cabin that her family has in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. He is a soldier that is still recovering from an ambush that left him both physically and mentally scarred. He has decided to take an offer to use a cabin in Colorado for some time on his own. This is a book that had my emotions going up and down all the time. These are two characters that I grew to love and wanted them to find happiness. He is a man that knows Annabelle is the one for him. However he has been injured and doesn’t feel good enough for her anymore. Reading how this soldier feels about himself made me feel sad. He still has quite a road to recovery and doesn’t want to be a burden to Annabelle. Annabelle’s only wish for love is with a man that she has not seen in quite a while however her thoughts are always of him and the deep feelings that she has for him. Call it destiny/fate/coincidence these two are in the same place at the same time. What does the future hold for them? Will they take this opportunity and declare their feelings for each other? Will they finally find themselves in each other’s arms where they have always wanted to be? This is an author who has created two characters and writes in a way that makes you deeply feel all of their emotions. There are times when I had tears in my eyes. It is a book that I wished was a little longer as I wanted to read more about the two amazing characters. It is a story well worth the time reading. This is an author who creates wonderful stories with amazing characters. I can’t wait to read what she writes next. This is a story that includes adult subject matter and steamy scenes. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.

Snow In (A Warranted Series Novella) by Shannon Nemechek is a short novella that is part of her A Warranted series. This story can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest you read the previous books in this series as they are just as good. This is a military romance story that will pull you in from the very beginning. I have enjoyed this author's books in the past but this is my favorite yet. This story will leave you hanging, I can't wait to see what happens next for these characters. This story is about two people who met, fell in love then he was deployed. Now he is back, broken, scarred and in need of finding himself. When the opportunity presents itself for him to spend some time in a cabin by himself he takes advantage of it. He thought that he was by himself until he hears someone calling his name. He then comes face to face with his past but why was she calling out his name? What happens with these two will make you need ice water to cool off. But are they strong enough to face each other? They are both in need of the same thing but will they find more then just themselves? I loved these two characters. They are connectable, lovable and true to life. They pulled me into their world of passion. They remind me kind of two lost souls needing looking for something that they haven't found yet. Will they take advantage of being snowed in together or will it turn into a disaster? There is no doubt that they have attraction for each other but there is also some hurt going on from the past. I couldn't put their story down. I can't wait to see what happens next with them, will they find their happily ever after? I highly suggest this story as I know you will love it as much as I have!

Wow... I think this was the worst book I read this year, and I even read an erotica with ogres and shit in it (to be fair I think they’re pretty equal in how bad they were just for different reasons).

Am I meant to feel like this was romantic? They barely know each other. It said they met once before he was deployed and mentions some kissing and petting. Then he goes away, gets hurt and she sends an email declaring her love and that she’ll leave her fiancé if he just says he loves her back (weird as fuck for two people who met for one night and even then only did some groping and kissing lol).

So they both end up at this cabin and they’re in and out at different times and they’re both masturbating to the thought of each other because they can’t seem to get the other out of their mind (though he later thinks about how he came out of the army and drowned himself in ladies and alcohol so...) anyway he can’t seem to finish so he goes and watches a movie and hears her so he legit drops his towel and walks in and says he’ll join. And she says yes. (Imagine me rolling my eyes so far back into my head right now).

So he joins her they do the dirty with some food and stuff and then all of a sudden he’s proposing and she’s saying yes and they’re declaring love and I think it’s meant to be sweet but I just can’t even right now.

It was also pretty hard to read because of how it was written. It came across a little pretentious how everyone spoke as it was a little too proper all the time, and the guys were super dude bros and the sex used all those words I really never like to see in anything to be honest.

Andrew’s best friend Jackson and his little sister Annabelle were both keeping secrets from him. They were both holding the same secret and that was that they loved each other. Even though Jackson and Anna shared the same feelings they knew he would always be Andrew’s best friend and she would always be Andrew’s little sister, and nothing could happen between them. Andrew bought Jackson a first-class ticket on a plane that would take him to where he would be able to relax and have some thinking time and that was to his family’s cabin. In the mean time Annabelle decided she was going to go to the family cabin and rest up as she had been busy with the family business and had also caught her fiancée with another woman. Both Jackson and Annabelle thought they were the only one at the cabin and it wasn’t until Jackson thought he heard his voice being called and hunted down the voice that he saw his beautiful Anna in her room pleasuring herself while calling his name. Today would change everything for Jackson and Anna and after satisfying both their needs and proclaiming their love for each other they fell asleep. Anna woke up to the sound of her phone realizing the time she saw she was an hour late in meeting her friend Stephanie. But looking out the window Jackson told her that neither of them would be going anywhere over the next couple of days as they were snowed in. While they were both excited about their life together they forgot Andrew. I can’t wait to find out Andrew’s reaction to this, after all he would want his best friend and little sister to be happy, right?
Loved this short book and is most definitely a must read.

Snowed In by Shannon Nemechek was a great read for anyone looking for a quick read that is full of steamy sex scenes and using the military angle was a nice twist on a quickie romance that really pulled me in. Our hero, Andrew, fell in love with Annabelle the first moment that he met her, but his duty to our country took him from his first love for what seemed like forever. Coming back a broken man, in more ways then one, showed him that he needed to let his love for Annabelle go, so that he wouldn’t hold her back. Can Andrew accept that Annabelle would want him for the man he is now compared to the man he was when they first met. Nemechek is a new to me author, and her writing style really drew me in. I felt for Andrew and the struggles that he faced as a war vet, but I also felt how strong the bond between him and Annabelle was, and how everything tested their love. This story can be read as a standalone but I would suggest that it be read along with the other books in the Warranted series, which allows for all the characters to really get a good telling. I can’t wait to see if Andrew and Annabelle make an appearance in later books in this series, as well as see how much more obsessed I can become with another new author.

This was a super quick read about Jackson and Annabelle and how they have loved each other from afar for quite awhile. Jackson is best friends with Annabelles brother Andrew. When he deployed he and Annabelle shared a kiss and some heavy petting and they had not seen each other since. He was injured during an ambush and faces many more surgeries and extensive physical therapy and had decided that he didn't want to burden anyone with his problems so had not contacted Annabelle since returning, and he also had not gotten up the courage as of yet to ask Andrew for permission to date his little sister.

Andrew sends Jackson to his family cabin in the mountains as a birthday gift to spend some time alone and getting his thoughts in order. Neither of them realizing that Annabelle whose love life just took a hit was also planning to get away at her family's cabin in the mountains.

What happens when these two see each other again during a huge storm that has them snowed in for what could be a few days?

For such a short book it packed quite a bit of information and history of each of the characters. It had an easy flow to it and I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see what the future holds for these two.

This book was a mix for me, it had things I expected and things I didn’t expect which then really twisted my heart up. Anytime I read something that touches on the effects of deployment whether based on a true story or as a character building plot enhancer. This story had a very beautiful flow between the way the author wrote each characters feelings to how the author described scenery and interactions.
With any romance I expect it to either be hot or cold or hot and cold because most romances focus on either the story or the sex scenes. This book focused on the beauty of a persons past and what can come after being shattered to pieces. Forgiveness, lust, love, and hope are all things I found while reading this book. I don’t like to give stuff away but I will say this was much more than I expected based off the synopsis I thought I knew but even I shed a few tears and I can’t blame my hormones.

Annabelle is in love with her brothers friend. They hit it off when she went to visit her brother. She just can't get him out of her mind and dreams. Now she has gone on vacation for some quiet time, at her family's cabin.

Jackson met the girl of his dreams and wants to be with only her. He was insured in afghanistan and wants to be nobody's burden. He quits emailing Annabelle, he wants to be whole when he she's her again. His buddy sent him on a vacation at his family's cabin.

Shannon Nemechek has taken two people and put them together in this book unexpectedly. Like two ships passing in the night, these characters pass through the cabin and not even see each other. It was fun reading these two and their desires to meet the other. This was a short funny story to read. Not for those under 18 due to adult and sexual content.

I kissed my brothers best friend and fell in love with him. Then he was deployed and injured and now refuses to see me no matter how hard I begged. So I moved on even though my heart was with Jackson.
But I find my finance in a compromising position with another woman and all I want to do is escape. So I head up to our cabin in Colorado to rest and decompress. Annabelle's brother Andrew and Jackson are best buds and Andrew lets him have the cabin in Colorado for two weeks to rest and relax. He is still in love with Annabelle and she is still in love with him. Neither one is aware the other is at the cabin . What will happen when they come face to face with each other. This was an enjoyable short story.

Snowed In by Shannon R. Nemechek is a fun five star read. This is a great story and it’s a very quick read. This story follows Annabelle and Jackson’s journey into taking a chance on romance and love.
Annabelle finds her fiancée in a compromising situation and decides she needs to get away. She decides to take a trip to her family’s cabin. Jackson is in Special Forces and was injured in Afghanistan, he is on the road to recovery but needs a little R & R. His best friend offers him the family’s cabin and Jackson jump on it.
Jackson finds out that Annabelle is also at the cabin, she happens to be his best friend’s sister. So, Annabelle and Jackson are so hot together. Will the two of them be able to figure out their feelings?

Snowed In is a short novella following up the book Warranted by Shannon Nemechek. This is the story of Annabelle and Jackson.
They met through Annabelle's brother who is in the Army with Jackson. After a spur of the moment kiss before being deployed, Annabelle and Jackson found they wanted to be with each other, but only time would tell.
This story picks up after some time, and both Annabell and Jackson still have the other in their mind. But they are unsure how to go about making things right between them.
This story is about getting that second chance and not letting it get away again.
I really enjoyed this novella, even though I have not read the first book, I am a firm believer in second chances. There are some steamy sex scenes, so readers beware.

Annabelle is a strong woman that runs her family business and Jackson is a wounded soldier that is just coming home from being deployed. These two fell in love before Jackson left but now due to his injuries, both mental and physical, he doesn’t feel good enough for her anymore. When these two end up in the same cabin for some much needed R&R they are forced to face the feelings that never really faded.
This was a really fun, short read. Even though it was short the author managed to really pull you into the lives of her two main characters. Getting to know these two and watch them come together was very rewarding. The plot was nicely paced and never felt rushed, which these novellas sometimes can. Definitely giving this one a five star rating.

A short Novella that I enjoyed reading. I didn't read the previous books but it didn't matter since the characters were so well developed. I thought I knew what was going on in this story so it can be read as a standalone but I am deffenitly going to go back and read.

Jackson is on medical leave after getting hurt in Afghanistan and decides to go to his friend's cabin to get some rest and recover time.

Annabelle needed to get away from everything that was happening in her life so she headed up to her family's cabin.

What they did not know that they were going to be there at the same time. Can these two find the love and attraction they had a long time ago and try to make it work again?

A sweet read with great characters. A steamy romance. It does leave you with a cliff hanger and wanting more at the end. I am looking forward to more.

Snowed In by Shannon Nemechek was a sizzling short read. The main characters were well written and the action drew in the reader from the first page. I loved the mountain cabin setting too. I could picture it in my eye, the writing was so descriptive. Oh and a hot tub with a TV is definitely going on my bucket list!! It is not the sort of book I read normally but I will definitely look out for more of these in the future. This is a novella that satisfies in every way. Colourful characters and hot love scenes -A fab contrast to the unrelenting snowfall in the story! I really enjoyed this book, but would have liked it to be longer and to know what happened next. Snowed In can be read as a standalone, though you'll want to read more after you've finished this book!
Annabelle is tired and worn out from running the family company, and decides to take a break in her family cabin in Colorado. What she doesn't expect is her brothers best friend Jackson. Shes always been attracted to him and when he shows up for what he thinks is alone time to get his head on straight and heal from his injuries overseas, he has to confront feelings he's been hiding for some time as well.
Can these too help each other? How will Andrew, Annabelles brother, and Jackson's best friend, handle this new development?
I highly recommend this book!

5 steamy stars for Snowed In, A Warranted Series Novella by Shannon Nemechek.
If there was one thing that Jackson Tolliver could wish for, other than not being injured , it would be to have Annabelle Bryant. Annabelle is his best friends sister and his dream come true. With all the medical treatment he is and will be going through, his friend sends him to his families cabin for some alone time. Little does he know that Annabelle has the same idea after finding her ex fiancé in a very compromising position.
Will Annabelle and Jackson give in to the temptation and become one?
This was a short and extremely steamy novella. I loved it!!!

This short novella is one of my favorites! I couldnt put it down. The book had me glued to the pages and I couldnt wait to see what happened next. For a short book this was a very good read.

The chemistry between Jackson and Annabelle is just electric. The author does a very good job of using just enough of the characters backstories to add to the senarios of the present story. It was so refreshing to be able to read a mutual love/lust story that wasnt so predictable. I really look forward to reading more of this authors work.
