For Lavender Gin and Carson, life has changed beyond all recognition. Determined to keep a promise made to an old friend, they have formed a new group of allies and are reduced to hunting down zombies and Thinkers alike in rat-infested sewers, armed only with whatever makeshift weapons they can lay their hands on. Things are already tough enough. When Carson goes missing, Lavender finds she not only faces the possibility of carrying on without him, but that she is also caught up in a head-to-head challenge for leadership. As if all of this was not enough, a twisted brand of evil watches them from the shadows, leaving a trail of calling-card corpses in its wake.
Slowly, Lavender realises she is also faced with another enemy; one she can neither see nor fight, but which threatens to take away completely all that she now holds dear. Will she and Carson ever be reunited and if they are, is it anyway too late to matter?

Please note that I have been given a copy of this book in return for a honest review.
This is a sequel to Sleep, Think, Die. In this instalment, characters from the previous book develop and new characters are introduced. I like that things/items for the characters, are not acquired so easily and characters are killed off. Has more of a realistic feel to it.
For a Zompoc book~this has the right level of gore and horror.....absolutely loads with a little shock factor thrown in to boot.
There is a part with a double zombie worth looking out for~hilarious!
Although I loved this book, I do feel that the ending was a little rushed. However would I like to see another instalment to this series?....YES!
I totally recommend both books in this series. I hope that you enjoy like I have.
Really enjoyed the continuing saga and the characters. I hope there is another book in the works for this series. Looking forward to seeing more of this story.
The second offering in S.P. Oldham's 'Mindless Trilogy' is altogether darker and grittier than the first. Lavender and Carson, protagonists of the first book 'Sleep,Think,Die', are back with a new supporting cast. The characters have grown and matured, as has their relationship. In this tale, the author shifts the emphasis from pure survival to an examination of how the Zombie Apocalypse allows for the emergence of extreme facets of the human psyche in susceptible individuals. We're steering very close to 'Walking Dead' territory here, and that's a compliment. There are a couple of references to characters and incidents from the first book, which don't detract from the story, but will have more relevance if you read S.T.D. first. Altogether, a satisfying follow-up and, hopefully, a foretaste of what is to come in the final episode. I can't wait.
I’m loving this series, the story just kept me hooked. I got to the last few pages before I realised and was gutted that had almost finished, I just wanted to keep reading. This book is a great follow on to sleep think die, the continuation of the storyline is fantastic. I feel for the characters and what they are experiencing. I am so looking forward to the next instalment.
Ok, I have to admit, book 2 out did book 1. Made me want to turn the page. Even made me glad that I had read book 1, for the history that it provides. Interesting idea for a zombie book, one that makes sense Need an interesting take on the Zombie wave? Check this series out.
The second book in The Mindless trilogy and it hasn't let me down. The storyline gets better and better. Lavender and Carson realise that they are not only in danger from zombies and thinkers. The apocalypse didn't wipe out all the insane people, and one of them has fixated on Carson! Grab yourself a copy and find out what happens. You won't be disappointed.
Really great series. Lavender and Carson are still keeping their promise to Gasher they are killing the thinkers . They have lost the members of their current group and found themselves in the company of a psycho . Carson is not the man he was and Lavender is worried . Will be get them both killed ? . Really looking forward to the next book.
we continue to follow Carson and Lavender on their journey as promise to take out thinking. they form somewhat ragtag team to help. Also they have bad luck with sociopath and one member having trouble mental. what a great story and hope book 3 coming soon!!!
What is happening to Carson? Is he coming unhinged or is something more dire happening to him? And Lavender, how is she going to be able to keep them both alive? On to the series finale to find answers to those questions.
