I have a new shepherd now.
I didn’t choose to fall for Aldous Occestem. The most hated man in Coventry, he antagonizes the town’s beloved megachurch at every opportunity; he operates a notorious, satanic-themed BDSM club; and now he’s a suspect in the abduction of my friend, as well as several other missing women. He should repulse me, but I can’t resist the way he makes me feel.

He leads me into temptation.
Handsome, dominant and sadistic, he ignites my intense hunger for submission. He doesn’t know I’m a private detective, investigating the case on my own. Our relationship started as a cover, but now I’m addicted to his world of carnal sin. Even if he’s not the kidnapper, his one-man war with the powerful Pastor Jones is a powder keg ready to explode, and I’ll be the one caught in the crossfire.

I fear no evil, for he is with me.
I should get out while I still can, but the deeper I dig into his life, the more I need him in mine. He knows how to soothe the pain from my past. He longs to own me, and I yearn to be his.

Something sinister is happening in Coventry. Innocent or guilty, Aldous is at its center. I won’t stop until I know the truth, even if it makes me the target of an unspeakable evil...

Publisher’s note: “Exalted” is a dark, romantic thriller with explicit sexual content, including BDSM practices. HEA guaranteed — no cliffhangers, no cheating! Contains material some may find disturbing. Reader discretion is advised.

As disclosure, the author reached out to me and asked if I'd be willing to review this and provide my honest opinion. I think I screamed YES loud enough for her to hear! I love me some dark romance!

This was a 3.5 star read for me (damn you, once again, Goodreads, for not allowing 1/2 stars!!!)

To begin, this story grabbed me from the beginning. This isn't your typical dominant damaged hero, who turns to the BDSM life to "fix" himself, and our heroine isn't a meek young thing who doesn't know her own sexuality. Nope - these two are fully aware and embrace their kinks and dark side without apology. Kind of a refreshing take on things.

And this author sure does know her BDSM lifestyle...I hope that's a compliment, because it is meant as one.

They story itself was intriguing and complex. I don't want to give any type of spoilers - and I'm not good at capturing a plot in a few sentences. I didn't find this particularly dark (because apparently I am somewhat desensitized to these types of stories and it takes a lot to shock me), but I did enjoy the story itself. No major gasping twisty turn moments, but there is definitely intrigue. The story was well delivered, the characters were well fleshed out, and the plotline was compelling to me.

Thank you to the author for her generosity in providing me this ARC.

Carson Bennett sees her friend, Summer get abducted my men in black robes. She can’t call the police so now Carson is using her PI skills to find her friend and goes looking at the most obvious place in town, The Pit, a “Satanic” BDSM club. Carson goes undercover and becomes a member of The Pit.

Aldous Occestem is the owner of The Pit. Carson finds herself attracted to Aldous and he to her but Carson knows that she needs to keep her wits about her. All of the evidence points to Aldous or someone working at The Pit being responsible for Summer’s abduction.

Pastor Marshall Jones is Aldous’ nemesis. He is the quintessential TV evangelist without having a television show. He, his wife Anita, and Aldous grew up together and they know each other’s foibles. Marshall and Aldous have been a thorn in each other’s sides for decades and continually try to one up the other.

Summer’s chances of being rescued grow slimmer as each day passes and exposing the culprit becomes a life threatening job for Carson. Will she succeed in rescuing Summer or will she too end up a missing person?

The author’s preview of this story made me think it was going to be darker than it was but it sure had me on pins and needles at the end.
I did not care for how the author had Aldous using the Satanic theme for his business. If this place was in any large town or city you would have pagans AND Christians picketing it. It would be like having a club called The Clan and using swastikas for their symbol.
Any REAL BDSM club would be a LOT more discreet than The Pit was. Also there is no mention early on about the vetting process for the club. People need to have tests for HIV and STD’s done as well as rules about fluid sharing. At 23% Aldous is licking her juices off of his hand and they hardly know each other.
Carson gets her nipples pierced and just days later he is playing with them. OUCH! Nipple piercings take almost a year to heal. The story takes place over a 1 month timeframe.
After reading this book it’s obvious to me that this author is an IRAB (I read a book) when it comes to the BDSM lifestyle. If you are looking for books that show how the BDSM lifestyle really works I would recommend The Suncoast Society series by Tymber Dalton. All in all this book was pretty good and I still recommend it for anyone who enjoys dark romance.

Sansa does it again! She gives you another dark story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. That’s got evil lurking in places you don’t expect. That makes you afraid to go out after dark....With women disappearing. A club with a satanic vibe. A church with a leader that’s....different.. .And if you think you recognise certain people from the past.....you’d be right. That was a treat! I’m not going to say more, you need to experience it all for yourself. Just keep an open mind, things aren’t always what they seem to be....

So I was one of the lucky ones to get a sneak peek of this book and I am so happy I was asked. This is the second book I read from this author the first was Erased( if you haven't read that one you really should). This book had it all mystery, kinkiness( lots and lots of that), betrayal, murders, kidnapping and love!!! This book isn't really that dark it's more pure craziness and I loved it!!

Sansa Rayne has brought us back into her dark and gritty world.

Carson is a woman who knows that she likes submission and pain. When her best friend, Summer, gets into trouble, she calls Carson, hoping that she can help. When Summer gets kidnapped right in front of Carson's eyes, she has to use all her private detective skills to try and find Summer and bring her home.

Aldous is a Dom. He owns a sex club called The Pit. He plays up the Satanic thing, including having his club covered in Satanic symbols. In fact, his own personal playroom has animal skulls with glowy red eyes. He isn't really a Satanist, but the image works well.

Summer is only the latest woman to go missing, and the last place she was seen was The Pit. That means that Carson is going to go in there to see what she can find.

This is a good story with a lot of curves and swerves. The POV flips back and forth between Carson, Aldous, Summer, and a couple of other characters, which gives us a really good idea of what is going on in all aspects of the story. I really like that, because the story can be complex and seeing things from different points of view helped see why characters were acting a particular way.

I thought that the writing was sound and the story was good. This story can be read as a standalone, but it does come after Sansa Rayne's Erased.

I received an ARC of this story and this is my voluntary and honest review.

This suspenseful romantic thriller revolves around the disappearance of a number of girls in a small town and the inexperienced PI that takes an interest in the case after she witnesses the kidnapping of a friend. Her sleuthing takes her undercover to a Satanist BDSM club, were she ends up catching the eye of the owner and becoming his girlfriend, even though he is her main suspect.

Hating organised religion (or any kind of religion for that matter), as much as I do, the side plot about a sinister fundamentalist religious fringe group, was wickedly enjoyable in a cringing way. The pastor was a veritable psychopath, and together with his wife, both were villainous, hypocritical and shockingly morally corrupt. Perhaps their characterisation was a tad too cartoonist, but I hated them both and relished when they ultimately got their comeuppance. It is so good to hate the baddies!

There were a number of trite cliches, and the 4 people POV did not do much for me as I was utterly uninterested in two of the narratives and I found myself skipping parts of them. But I thought it was a fairly good story, and decently written too, by an author new to me. I just did not enjoyed it that much while reading it, hence my rating.

This was a crazy insane story. With kidnapping, betrayal, lies, revenge and keeping woman captive this book will have you hooked if you like dark reads. Aldous & Marshall are enemies but Marshall is getting more & more crazy when he takes Summer. Summer contacts Carson to help her because she thinks someone is after her. When Aldous sees Carson he is intrigued and wants to see her again but how will he feel when he finds out that she is lying to him.

Let me start by saying that this is a brand new author to me and I was privileged to be offered an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book was off the charts crazy, exciting and totally engaging. This is one of the best dark romance books I've read this year so far. That is saying a lot since my favorite genre is dark romance. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am blown away with her writing skills. She is very knowledgeable in the BDSM elements and it shows in her writing. This story does have some elements that may be disturbing to some readers. So fair warning in advance there are BDSM elements, kidnapping and mention of Satan worshipping. If those things are disturbing to you than this book is not for you. Otherwise buckle up and hold on because you are in for one he!! of a good story.

Carson is a private detective and normally she works little stupid cases like cheating spouses and other rather boring things. Late one night she receives a phone call from her friend Summer, whom she hasn't really spoken to in years. Her friend is frantic and scared. She tells Caron she believes some one is after her and asks for Carson's help. Carson readily agrees and heads to Summer's apartment. When she gets there her friend is being pushed into a van by a person wearing black robes. She is unable to stop them because they shoot at her and while she's ducking for cover they take off.

Carson's only lead comes from the diner that Summer called her from. The guy there says he knows for sure she came from The Pit, which is a satanic themed BDSM club. Carson goes undercover to see if anyone remembers Summer being there. She attracts the attention of the Lord of the Pit, aka Aldous. Aldous owns The Pit and is very much into the BDSM lifestyle. He is also a huge pain in a$$ to the local pastor of the megachurch in town. He is constantly pulling pranks just to piss of Pastor Marshall Jones, who was a bully to Aldous all through school.

Several women have gone missing over the years from the town of Coventry and Carson's only lead is that her friend was seen at The Pit the night she was kidnapped. So as Carson tries to find out what happened to her friend she is getting very up close and personal with Aldous.

Pastor Marshall Jones is sick and tired of Aldous's stunts and he continually tries to turn the town against him. He is sure that Aldous and his club have something to do with all the womens disappearances over the years. So as things escalate between him and Aldous, most of the town rallies around the church and they begin causing problems for Aldous and his club.

Carson is caught in the middle because she is truly falling for Aldous and she can't help but wonder if he or someone from the club is involved in the disappearances.

As things get heated and more women go missing, it's hard to know what to believe anymore. There are so many twists and surprises in this story that it will keep you guessing as to who is the guilty party.

This book is fantastic and takes you on a wild, emotion filled rollercoaster ride of epic proportions. Grab this book today, you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to read more from this wonderful author. My hats off to you, Sansa for a most excellent and exciting book.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow, this one threw me for a loop in trying to figure out what is happening—who is the real sadistic villain, but it is a hot as hell dark romantic thriller! It is hot, dirty, provocative, scintillating, riveting, suspenseful, thrilling, and brilliant that you NEED to READ! This is the first book I read by Sansa Rayne, but I assure you, it will not be the last. From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that you will find yourself falling in love with—or not. I really enjoyed reading this book and the momentum of the story keeps you wanting to read more that you can’t put it down. I wasn’t expecting the turn this story took; it was quite an unexpected surprise that may leave you infuriated, but it is jaw-dropping good! Sansa Rayne manages to weave a gripping plot, with artfully developed main characters, but some are deep and troubled characters. The story is dark with gruesome details; murder, mystery, intrigue, suspense, kidnapping, human trafficking, and erotic passion with elements of BDSM continue to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. EXALTED astounds me so much I actually had book intoxication. In Coventry, Carson Bennett is a Private Investigator, but when her friend (Summer Little) goes missing, she sets out to look for her friend at the place Aldous Occestem owns—satantic-themed BDSM club. Aldous is handsome, sexy, dominant, sadistic, and hated by town’s megachurch because he finds ways to provoke Pastor Marshall Jones. When Carson meets Aldous, the chemistry between them grows more potent the more time they spend together—the sex is off-the-chart hot! Will Carson be able to find her friend, Summer? Did Aldous kidnap Summer? If not, then who? When Carson finds out the truth, will this affect her feelings for Aldous? There are several twists and turns within the storyline that makes it very interesting. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. This story will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning.

Just like lambs to a slaughter...

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Exalted written by Sansa Rayne and voluntarily reviewed this book. Carson Bennett, now officially a private investigator, receives an SOS call out of the blue from an Summer Little, old college friend, but to her horror, witnesses her kidnapping the night they were supposed to meet. When Carson digs deeper, she meets Aldous, the dangerously sexy and dominant owner of The Pit, the place her friend was last seen in public. Her experiences with Aldous as they fall into a relationship provides her the means to investigate his club, perhaps as the link for the town’s girls reported missing over the last few years. Will trusting Aldous with not only her body but her heart be the only way to get her friend back?

Well-defined characters and their well-written POVs are one of the driving forces of this story. They pull you in with their strengths and weaknesses and keep you engaged until the end. You have the devil masquerading as the powerful and pious leader of the community, Pastor Marshall Jones, pitted against the Satan-worshiping sex club owner, Aldous Occestem, who has a real, caring heart. All main female characters are strong, smart, and use purpose to sharpen their spines and guide them through what they need to do, even the one with the overly rusty and tarnished halo which she touts in public at her husband’s side. Secondary characters Gabriel and Marla are also interesting and provide more than just professional support, they provide understanding and emotional guidance to Carson about the BDSM lifestyle. The chemistry between Aldous and Carson was hotly evident when they were together and couldn’t be ignored by either one. I definitely look forward to reading more from this author!

My first thought: I hate Anita and Jonas - they are sick and twisted individuals that want to control everybody and they (especially Jonas) is making an excuse with his "Faith and Jesus" - they think they are superior because of their money and influence. Jonas is a real psychopath.

Aldous - He was ok, the most realistic person in the book with his temper and not being perfect. As a Dom he is so-so, some scenes are not very safe. He also didn’t do much explaining for the scenes, not that he must as a Dom, but some conversation for someone who is just getting to know bdsm would be appreciated.

Carson - She didn't get under my skin like some heroines do. Her investigation at first is a bit lacking and she is not really good detective. As for the submissive role - she is so eager to please him and do as he say, very trusting at first.
As for their relationship - It was ok. The bdsm scenes were ok, nothing extraordinary and they didn't do much for me. Maybe I became picky: D
I admire Summer for her courage and everything she done to survive.

Marla and Gabriel - they were somehow forced into the book so that everything developed as it was supposed to.

I sort of just fly through the last chapters... The plot and the suspense were sort of building but the ending is very quick.

It was ok book sort of 3 stars for me but I won't be fretting about it a long time like other I became addicted :)

P.S.
I didn't like the cliché with all bad guys having small dicks and they are compensating - that's just unrealistic. Some (like Marshall) are just twisted psychopaths I wanted to kill myself. Grr how he went on my nerves.

Sansa Rayne is a new author to me, so going in to Exalted I had no idea what to expect.
I can say I was pleasantly impressed. I liked the authors style of writing, if flowed well and was descriptive, great story telling.
I don’t like to divulge too much about a story in my reviews, so each reader can get the best experience from a book.
It’s a dark...ish read, not as dark as some I’ve read, so if you are new to dark reads this is a good start.

In the small town of Coventry where girls are going missing, the latest victim been a friend of Carson. Carson is a private investigator and she is set on finding her friend. The only leads she has takes her to the local BDSM club, where she meets Aldous, the owner of the club, her only suspect?
Also the Pastor from the local church has a love/hate relationship with Aldous and his club, this hatred is deep rooted.
One thing i really liked about this book was the multiple POV’s it was written in, it gave you an all round perspective of the characters and story. Some of the characters you love while there’s others you will hate.
When first meeting Aldous he was quite mysterious and dark character but I do think he could of been a bit harder and mean, as seen as he’s a Dom... we all love a bad boy right. He was super hot and sexy, but a little too soft for me. That’s just my preference. Got to say there is some pretty hot and kinky sex scenes ;-)

I have only one small negative with Exalted, I do think it could of been condensed some, and still be able to tell the whole story well. It is quite a lengthy book.
Overall a very enjoyable read, and I would recommend it.

I voluntarily agreed to read an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

A scorching hot dark thriller...

A scorching hot dark erotic thriller..... this is an exciting, nail biting ride with fast paced action, a gritty, unforgiving world and complex, believable characters..

This is not a book that can easily be put aside once started each page seems to hold a new mystery or event that kept me turning the page....the two main characters are both strong independent individuals... I love that both are equals in the relationship despite the Dominant and Submissive roles within their sexual interactions..and omg those are so steamy with elements of BDSM...

The imagined world created by this author has a dystopian feel with evil people disguised as religious zealots focused on destroying perceived satanic practices and it could have been depressing but in fact the authors writing style is easy to read and prevents the narrative becoming too oppressive.....

My only slight misgiving is that there are multiple points of view and whilst I understand this is a useful literary device to provide details of events happening concurrently I am not a huge fan as it has a tendency to disrupt the flow of the storyline...

That said, this book is an original, suspenseful, searing hot and compulsive read....... Exalted is the second book I have read by this talented author and she is fast becoming one of my favourites... I received a copy of this book as an ARC from the author

Welcome to the Coventry...
Nothing is like it appears to be. The good and evil can't be clearly distinguished. I'm with Carson trying to solve the mystery and hunting to find every single clue.

I loved how the author was able to multi pov. What was going within the story didn't rest with just the two main characters, Carson and Aldous, each subcharacters played a significant role.

The subcharacters are Anita, Marshall, and Summer. Anita and Marshall are supposed to be the religious leaders of Coventry but they are definitely wolves in sheep's clothing. I don't know whether to hate them or love them. For some reason, I dig their craziness.

Marla and Gabriel are back!!! I'm digging every moment of it. If you read Erased then you know who these two characters are. They might not to be the main characters within the story but they still play an instrumental part.

Loved Carson but she pissed me off at times. Her trust wasn't fully there when it came to Aldous. She was able to trust him sexually but it stopped when it came to personal issues. The communication wasn't there. I want to say on Carson's part but Aldous held some of the blame.

There was a chapter close to the end, which connected back to the prologue. I loved it and the continual progression of the story to the end. I would recommend Exalted, especially if you already took the time and read Erased.

A Deliciously Dark & Captivating Book

Exalted is listed as “A Dark Romantic Thriller” and it truly is a delicious, dark read. In Coventry, there are corrupt mega-church leaders, a BDSM club, kidnapping, sex slaves, and human trafficking all taking place under the radar of the residents. Written in 3 Acts, this book is fantastically long, as it needs to be, to fit in all of the crazy action as well as the romance (and hot D/s sex scenes).

Carson, a private investigator, is pulled into the BDSM world when her friend, Summer, is kidnapped right before her eyes. She goes to the local satanic-themed BDSM club, The Pit, undercover, of course, to search for clues as to who took her friend. The story twists and turns as Carson is chosen by Aldous, the owner of The Pit, to become his special pet. Aldous has a rough history with Marshall, the town pastor, as Marshall used to bully Aldous when they were growing up together. Can Carson stay focused enough to find Summer while finding her bliss with Aldous on stage at The Pit? Can Marshall bring down Aldous and The Pit, or will Marshall show his dark side?

A GREAT READ that was hard to put down! No cliffhanger and HEA!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and love that Sansa kept it longer so as to not lose any important parts that kept the book flowing smoothly.

I am an avid fan of Dark Erotic Romance. It's my guilty pleasure. When the author reached out to me because of this affinity I jumped at the chance to read a new author.

Exalted surpassed all my expectations. This book has so many twists and turns in the plot you really can't believe the directions it takes. The author weaves a very intricate tale of religion, satanic influence, BDSM, kidnapping, murder, blackmail & extortion in the town of Conventry. Sounds like a lot to fit into one book but the author does it flawlessly.

After receiving a frantic call from her friend Summer, PI Carson ends up witnessing her being kidnapped. All leads point to BDSM owner of The Pit, Aldous being responsible for the many missing women. Carson goes undercover in hopes of finding her friend.

Not all is as it seems in Coventry. There is a sinister person who is determined to take down Aldous but will anyone believe him when he claims innocence? Will Carson find Summer & the other missing women before it's too late? Can Carson fully trust Aldous & discover the truth?

To find out the answers to all these questions, one click and read, for all the answers lie within!

This was a really good book!! It was fast paced and pulls you in from the very first page. It's sexy, a little dark, has romance, mystery, intrigue, bdsm...it's got a little something for everyone!
Aldous is the anti-hero of the story. When I first heard it was a Satanic BDSM club he ran, I did not expect him to be a likable or at least a very sympathetic character. But you know what they say, never judge a book by its cover! LOL. And Carson was a delightfully strong and feisty woman, stubborn and smart, who just happens to have a submissive streak in her. She sure isn't a weak wallflower though, which I loved about her!
I think the only thing keeping this from 5 stars in my opinion, is I would have really liked a little more backstory and history on the feud between Marshall and Aldous. We got the gist of it, but I wanted a few more juicy details. It would have been fun to have a "10 years ago" chapter or something thrown in.
I can't say too much more about the book, because I refuse to give spoilers. I'll just tell you to buy the book, its certainly worth it, and is a very enjoyable read!!

Wow, this book is non stop from beginning to end. It's a complete mind trip kind of book that makes it hard to put down. It IS a dark romance book so be very, very prepared for that. It had elements of BDSM, kidnapping, torture, and physical abuse in it, but if you can get past that I swear to you this book is totally worth it. Carson, a private detective, who gets closer to Aldous, who owns a BDSM club while she looks for her friend Summer who was just kidnapped in front of her. Aldous is just trying to run his club while also making a little trouble for the local church who opposes him. During this time Carson and Aldous find that the other is their perfect match, while things are far deeper than they originally thought. So amazing in her writing style Sansa does not disappoint in this one. This book is far beyond what I expected it to be. Absolutely amazing. My one thing is it could get preachy at times, but hey, the guy is a preacher. So completely worth it though in my opinion. I received this book as an arc for an honest review and this is me honest.

Amount of sex 4 / 5
How explicit 4 / 5
BDSM/Fetish 4 / 5
Story 4.5 / 5
OVERALL 4.5 / 5 (Rounded to 5 / 5)

It’s so great to be back in author Sansa Rayne’s dark and steamy world! The stories she creates are so vivid and gritty that I always get lost in her books and Exalted is no different! First, I need to do a fangirl cheer about characters Marla and Gabriel from Ms. Rayne’s book Erased. They both play a part in this story, and I loved it! Now, if you haven’t read Erased, no worries! You can read Exalted without any difficulties. If you have the time, I recommend you read it, but know it’s not necessary to understand this story.

I’m going to do my best to write this spoiler free! I know some of you will want the juicy details, but I feel like you should experience this without knowing the summary. I do recommend that you read the blurb as well as the publisher's note, but that’s it. If you love dark and steamy books that have a ton of twists? Then this book is a must read!

Sansa Rayne reached out to me and asked if I'd like to read and review her newest book. I jumped at it, as I love dark reads. She was a new author to me and I will be reading her other books.
It isn't necessary, but I recommend reading Erased before Exalted as it gives you a look into the lives of a few of the characters in this book.
First, the cover is stunning. Plus, who doesn't love a beautiful male figure to look at?!
Exalted is the story of a BDSM club, a church organization, missing girls, and the people determined to find out what happened to them.
There are so many moving parts to this book. The characters are believable and the story is well written. It was a bit long for my taste (60 chapters) but the story held my attention.
Let me say, Sansa Rayne can write BDSM! There is a little of everything in the kink department. And the deliciousness of Carson and Aldous' D/s relationship is sinfully sexy. It leaves you wanting more!
If you like dark romance thrillers with a bit of kink, this book is for you.

This book was riveting I couldn't put it down. Someone is taking women from the town of Coventry. Carson Bennett has been contacted by her friend Summer saying she's in danger, she tells her that she can't call the cops. Carson tells her to go home and she'll meet her there, when she gets there she sees her friend kidnapped by men in black robes. Carson is a private detective and has decided to find out who has taken her friend. She knows that Summer was dressed sexy and must have come from The Pit a local BDSM club with a satanic theme. So that's where she'll look first. She meets Aldous Occestem the owner of The Pit and sparks fly for both of them. Aldous could be who is taking the women or could he? He even has a beef with Pastor of the Megachurch in Coventry Pastor Jones. This is the first book I have read of Sansa's I am hooked. She keeps the reader constantly holding their breath. I gasped several times, and the eroticism was sooo HOT! I will be reading more of her novels and recommend others to do it too!

This was a crazy and insane story in a very good way. Sansa threw kidnapping, betrayal, lies, revenge and keeping a woman captive all in this book and it will have you hooked if you like dark reads.
Aldous & Marshall are ENEMIES but Marshall is getting more & more crazy-weird. Summer contacts Carson to help her because she thinks someone is after her. When Aldous sees Carson he is intrigued and wants to see her again but how will he feel when he finds out that she is lying to him.
This book isn't really that dark it's more pure craziness (or maybe I’m not that easy to shock anymore)
I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review, but everything I write is my own opinion.

This is a complex, dark, erotic mystery, filled with kink, BDSM, perverted desires, obsession, and romance.

This intriguing story begins when an old friend calls Carson, a Private Investigator, for help. Unfortunately, Carson is a few minutes too late, and she is forced to watch Summer being kidnapped by two hooded men. Carson resolves to discover who has taken her friend, and why. Following clues, she discovers “The Pit,” a BDSM club. Does this abduction have anything to do with this club? How can she find out? Will becoming involved with the owner of the club help? What will Carson realize about her own feelings and desires? Oh, this is quite an enticing, sensual expedition into the ecstasies that can be experienced by skillfully combining pleasure and pain! WOW!

This book must be read in order to understand the thrilling, exciting, darkly erotic, terrorizing journey into the goodness that can be found in “evil” and the obsessive ugliness that can be camouflaged by “good.”

Brilliant dark thriller

Sansa Rayne is a new author to me, and her new novel EXALTED is superb. A brilliant dark thriller that will have you continually sitting on the edge of your seat. This is one epic thriller: dark, edgy, complex and with action that is non-stop.

The characters Ms Rayne presents are extremely believeable. Carson and Aldous are both extremely strong willed and thoroughly independent. They both have their dark sides and trust issues, but together they make one awesome team and are steaming hot.

This is a definite good vs evil story, but working out which side is which is not always an easy one. Told from multi POVs, was an enhancement to the story, as the reader is able to gain knowledge, not just from the main characters, but from others as well.

Reading this book was an experience, I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and the characters. A highly recommended read.

What a great roller coaster ride Exalted was by Sansa Rayne. This was a brand new author for me and wow just wow this book was amazing. I really enjoyed reading Exalted: A Dark Romantic Thriller. This book had it all suspense, action and a some hot BDSM in a thrilling and adventurous story. Aldous Occestum was an alpha who was in charge and the most hated man in the town of Coventry he also happens to like to push all the buttons of the priest of one of the church's in town. He is also a suspect in women that are missing. Carson Bennett is a private detective looking for her missing friend that disappeared so she is on the search on finding the missing women. Carson meets Aldous while being under cover at working the BDSM club. This book was hot, thrilling kept me glued to the pages the entire time. Looking forward to reading more of these books in the future.

This is the second book of Sansa Rayne's and this book was just as good as the first. You will be questioning yourself what is good and what is evil because this book gives nothing away until it absolutely has to. I liked how their were several points of view by the characters and we get to know a bit more about them this way. Of course you are now welcome to the Coventry. Don't trust easy and don't be fooled. The story was well written and the characters are all great, you will love them or hate them. You will most probably talk to yourself and ask yourself why several times during the book. Yes, I did that. I would suggest that you read the first book which was Erased before this one. Sansa brings the characters from that book into this one so you won't be confused. If you are a fan of dark thrillers and love authors who are not afraid to put it all o the page, then this is the series for you. I highly recommend the book(s).

Are you in need of a good, dark story? Look no further. This is the best one you will find. This story had all the elements needed for an astonishing story. There was this suspenseful mystery that was always lingering in the background. Carson's best friend is kidnapped and needs to be found. Carson becomes an amateur private investigator and is willing to do anything to find her friend. Including joining a BDSM club and becoming involved with its owner, Aldous. The chemistry between these two was red hot but there was always the question about how much Aldous knew and his involvement in the disappearance. This story was written with such vibrant descriptions that I could easily imagine each scene in the book and each character. Not only were the main characters mesmerizing but there were several second characters that helped build this mystery. This story will keep you entertained and guessing until the end.
