BEAUTY... After living on the streets and in his car, Travis has found a home in Brighton, Texas. His job as a cook at the local diner pays enough for him to afford a small apartment, and, for the first time in years, he's able to feed his passion, buying a few art supplies so he can sketch. He's safe, and, oddly enough, feels accepted in this small town. And, for reasons he cannot fathom, Bo Mason, a gorgeous cop, seems interested. While flattered, Travis knows if his secrets are revealed, Bo won't want to have a damn thing to do with the likes of Travis Boone. IS MORE THAN SKIN DEEP From the moment he saw the new blue-eyed cook at Brighton's diner, Bo Mason fell. Hard. And while getting close to Travis Boone has been like gentling a terrified animal, Bo knows there's a special person hiding behind those small smiles and closely guarded secrets. Slowly, Bo starts to peel back the layers cocooning Travis and learns the heart of an angel beats inside the most beautiful man Bo has ever known.

Travis’ story was heart-wrenching. Tasia’s writing had me feeling so protective of him. I’m so glad he had a good man like Bo to take care of him. I’m emotional.

Really great writing. It flowed beautifully.

A man!! I loved Bo’s character. He was strong, sexy, and compassionate.

Very well done book!

Incredible sex scenes. Hot!

A slight issue I had was the use of ‘fire’ similes and metaphors in one of the sex scenes. It was so well written but I was distracted because I kept thinking of the fire Travis was scarred physically and emotionally by.

I highly recommend this one. Deep feelings. Healing/Comfort. It’s great.

M. Tasia makes it hard to pick favorites in these books but to be honest, if you’ve kept up with this series, you know what I mean. But I think I just officially found my favorite so far. Not loving the others any less, but there’s something about Travis that calls to you and I’m glad he got Bo to see that in him. He needed good in his life for once and for to finally be seen as the angel he is.
Travis’s life has been downhill since he was 16. Something tragic happened in his life and it’s been eating at him since. Especially since his own mother didn’t help at all in the matter. Add on top of that, he ended up homeless with a few other things to add to the mix and Travis is about to the point of giving up. But several people saw something in Travis that called to them to give him love and support he needed, even when he didn’t think he deserved it or was terrified of what would happen. One of those people was policeman, Bo Mason. He knew underneath those haunted eyes and shy smile, lie a man with secrets but a heart of an angel. And the more he got under those layers Travis built up, the more he saw he was right. But Travis is losing his mind with nightmares and it’s time to get help and learn to let go. But will Travis accept Bo’s help or run like he normally does? Can he trust Bo, especially now that he knows Bo knows part of his secret, or is he going to have to leave and find somewhere else to go?
Oh man. I bawled like a little baby in this series. It’s insane how much I cried. If you have not read this series, you are missing out. Especially on this sweet, sweet man. He is an angel. Bo saw right, right from the beginning. He knew right away what he found in Travis and I’m just as in love with Bo, because he knew he was going to have to go real slow with Travis and he has. He has been patient and loving. So supportive in anything that pertains to Travis. He gives Travis space if he needs it, and hugs the man when Travis doesn’t even know he needs a hug. He goes slow in touching him, gently kissing him and everything. He lets Travis makes most of the moves so he knows he’s cherished and not rushed. Loved and used. And because of Bo’s unconditional and unwavering devotion, Travis has started to blossom in ways that no one ever thought possible. It doesn’t mean it’s easy or that he doesn’t have a long way to go. But he’s trying. He’s accepting that people really do care and aren’t out to hurt him. That they’ve accepted him as family and nothing less. And I love it. Because for once in Travis’s hard life, he finally feels free. And when you read his story, you’ll know why that’s so important.
It’s a beautiful story and while parts break my heart in two, I’m just as happy. This is another amazing series that I’m loving so much. And I can’t wait to see what happens next. Because I have a feeling I’m going to want to shake Bo’s brother in the next one.

M. Tasia is amazing author, writer and person. she's one of my favorite authors. Travis an bo make a perfect couple. I don't want to give to much away because I want everyone to read it. well people who in to mm books. Anyway they both needed each other. this book shows that everyone has scars on the inside and on the outside. Scars they don't make people look ugly. it's not what people look like on the outside. it's what is inside of someone. Travis and bo both deserve love and each other. I highly recommend this book and all of her books.

As always M. Tasia writes beautiful characters. I laughed. I cried. Travis is the perfect addition to the other boys in the Small Texas town of Brighton, and I can't wait for Grady's story. One of the best written gay romance/erotica seires I have had the pleasure of reading.

If you love gay romance, and you have not read these books...what are you waiting for?

I enjoyed this trip back into the world of The Boys of Brighton. Every time I return there I feel like I have returned home. I enjoy seeing the characters from prior books in the series. They add that extra oomph to each book.
I knew, I just knew, that Bo and Travis' story would be good. I was not disappointed.
Bo is a wonderfully strong character. Just what Travis needs to pull him away from the fear of intimacy he has harbored for years.
Travis blossoms under his care and while he gets stronger, he also gives Bo someone to nurture.
They are a beautiful couple and their passion is strong.
I look forward to more from this series.

Enjoyable

3.5 Stars. Not as good as the other books, but still enjoyable. Travis and Bo have been gravitating to each other for a while and Bo finally took the step towards claiming Travis. Travis, a bit hesitant, but determined to make a life with Bo, decided to take the necessary steps to make it happen.

Travis's life is finally changing for the better, although the man is still not ready to get out of his shell and show anyone the real him. However, Bo Mason doesn't give up, hoping that Travis will let him jump over the high walls he surround himself with, open up to him, let Bo love him. The problem is that Travis considers himself unworthy of anyone's love, and his painful, tragic past doesn't allow him to live a normal life, as it returns at night in the form of nightmares. But Bo is determined to stand alongside Travis to fight his demons.

"Travis" is another great part of "Boys of Brighton" series and completely conquered my heart. The plot of this volume focuses mainly on the title-character's story, which is why I would like to start this review from this topic. I really like the fact that although at first we don't really know much about this character, the author from the very beginning gives us some small hints so that we can slowly put together Travis's story, until he himself is ready to fill all the missing gaps. What's also important, his past and its impact on his life were built and shown in a truly phenomenal, deeply touching way. It is worth noting, however, that Travis is not someone from the past, but a person we meet "here and now", so his present life is also essential. I have to admit that even in this respect the novel was built perfectly, because it is not only interesting, but also touching, because it raises some very deep problems.

The fact that the title-character's psyche was presented very thoroughly and in detail is another great advantage of "Travis". The novella does not focus only on his past and his story, but also on him himself as a living being who feels, suffers and is mentally tormented by his tragic past. In this part of the series, M. Tasia really gave us a full insight into Travis's psyche and heart, and it's much deeper than in other "Boys of Brighton" novellas. I am really impressed with how ambitiously and seriously the author created and presented Travis, as thanks to all this she managed to create a novel simply wonderful, deep, unforgettable. And remember that this is a fairly short story, so such a thorough presentation of Travis, his past and the impact of some events on his later life and psyche is amazing. In short, "Travis" is pure perfection.

The sixth installment of "Boys of Brighton" series is undoubtedly filled with drama, pain, emotional weight, but at the same time is very sweet, filled with love, devotion and warmth, and it's all thanks to Bo. When we start reading "Travis," we really know almost nothing about Bo except from few rather trivial details. However, over time we get to know him better, and most importantly, we look into his heart and see that he fully gave it to Travis. Bo's love is so great, so beautiful and pure that it is to some extent a medicine for his beloved's tormented soul. "Boys of Brighton" is a series in which we find a lot of great and devoted men who would sacrifice everything and anything for their loved ones, but none of them can compare with Bo. Believe me, at first I wasn't his biggest fan, I didn't think that he could be someone special enough to make me change my mind. I was wrong about him, and this probably shows better than anything else how perfect "Travis" is.

In summary, "Travis" is another amazing, excellent, moving novel by M. Tasia, which the reader will not be able to forget. The main characters conquer our heart each in their own way, their past makes us cry, and love makes us squeak with joy. You must read this novel!

________________________

W tej części serii, M. Tasia naprawdę dała nam pełny wgląd w psychikę i serce Travisa, a więc w stopniu zdecydowanie większym, niż w innych nowelkach „Boys of Brighton”. Mówiąc krótko, „Travis” to czysta perfekcja.

My Favorite in the Series So Far!
I am a big fan of M. Tasia’s Boys of Brighton series. The novellas are sexy, sweet, action-packed, and entertaining, and the characters - from the ginormous Mason family to the hodge podge of people in the small-town Texas community - make each and every story so relatable and fun that I find myself drawn in from the very beginning. The sixth book in the series is “Travis,” and it has all the same wonderful aspects of the previous books in the series with the exception of two things. First, it had me crying WAAYYYY more than the others did, and second, those tears were often dried up by the humor that was infused throughout the tale! Brighton police officer Bo Mason (yup! Another one!) can’t deny the pull he feels toward the new cook that works with Bear and Jesse at the diner, but he knows that the young man has a story to tell. Travis has been beaten down as he faced devastating loss and outright bigotry before landing in Brighton, and he has a lot of emotional turmoil to get past before he can fight for a chance at a relationship with the sexy cop. This story got to me on every level - the steaminess, the vulnerability, the wonderfully flawed characters...just all of it. Truly my favorite in the series so far. And this isn’t just “good for M/M romance.” It's a good romance. Period. So looking forward to the next one.

As I keep reading each book in this series, I am drawn in more and more into this little town in Texas. What a wonderful community this is that accepts everyone and comes together when its needed (and even when it’s not!) This is the story of Travis and Bo. Travis is a cook at the diner and has been living on his own since he was 18. Travis feels like he is damaged goods and hasn’t had the love of someone since his father died in a fire that left Travis burned on over 50% of his body. Bo is a cop in the small town of Brighton and ever since he laid eyes on Travis, he felt a need to protect him and he was drawn to him instantly. Travis finds it hard to believe that anyone could find him attractive and definitely has a hard time believing that Bo could actually be interested in him.

This is another feel good story that of course had my emotions all over the place. I felt bad for Travis and just wanted to be the mother he didn’t have. I love Bo because he was exactly what Travis needed to help him figure out that he was more than he thought he was. M Tasia has a way of making you feel like you are right in the middle of the story and has a way of making you feel at home, regardless of which characters she is writing about. I’m anxious to read the next story with Grady! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was another quick read. It can be read as a standalone but the previous books mentioned these 2 alot especially in Jesse and Coop and how they flirted and felt about each so it was really in those books that I had already fell in love with these 2 so I would highly recommend reading them first. Both characters are great and so sweet. They were perfect for each other and had great chemistry. This was a low heat read but it suited the couple and circumstances. This book is also low angst and although I loved this couple, I didn't rate it 5 stars because the plot is pretty uneventful til the very end. I did still enjoy the plot though with learning Travis's backstory and his growth throughout the book. This was a sweet hurt/comfort read. I'm looking forward to reading Grady and Shadow. I did find the scene with Grady in this book far fetched. Talk about overkill for nothing even happening.

This is the first book I have read by M. Tasia and I loved it! It is beautifully written and the characters are well developed. It is an emotional read that had me crying and I could not put it down. Travis has a horrific past and he doesn't think he deserves love, he is scarred inside and out. Bo met Travis and fell for him immediately, he understands how hard it is to get past a traumatic event and he is willing to wait as long as it takes for Travis to open up to him. Once Travis learns to trust Bo they can start to build their relationship. This is a beautiful love story that proves you should never give up on love or hope no matter how difficult life gets. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author and I need to start with this series.

I've been curious about Travis since the moment he appeared at the diner! I do love a wounded character who is secretive about what has happened to him.

The main drama in this installment of the series is that recently hired chef, Travis, and Brighton Police Officer, Bo have feelings for one another. There is a lot in Travis' past that has left him with serious trust issues, a guilt complex almost too big for one person to live with and physical scars. As if that weren't enough, he also dealt with an attempted sexual assault that just reinforced his feelings of worthlessness.

Lucky for Travis, Bo is about the sweetest and most patient man in existence. He's not sure what he can ever have with Travis, but he's willing to take whatever he can get. Once wrapped in the security of Bo's friendship, things go well for Travis and he tries things he hasn't tried before!

This book carries on the story of the men of Brighton with police officer Bo and Travis who has drifted around since being burned badly in a fire. This story is a bit sweeter than the other stories in this series but it’s no less fun to read. M. Tasia has a way with words that I really enjoy. While this book has some tension and action it’s the romance and love that shine through. She is point on with the pacing, the dialogue and more but especially her characters which for me are the best things about her writing. They seem very realistic and I end up caring for them. To me one of the best things about a series like this is that I can keep reading more about what happens to characters that I enjoy.

3.5 rounded up to a 4

Bo and Travis have a nice story. Their love was sweet and well written. Brighton continues to be a heartwarming town with varied and interesting characters.

This book was hard for me to read. I only have one trigger and this book jumped right into the middle of it. I would of really preferred to of known what I’d be reading. Because of the need to keep from giving spoilers I can’t even say what the issue was. So my review is brief. Is it fair to give a book a lower rating because the subject matter bothered me? Probably not. So I’ve done my best to be fair.

Travis has not had an easy life. He has landed a job as a cook in the diner and is settling in and he is hopeful that he can settle into a decent life and move forward. Bo is intrigued and besotted by Travis but he recognizes that there is something going on with Travis. Bo pursues Travis patiently and with care but he is consistent. He wants him true, but he also wants to be there for him. Having Bo in his life helps Travis seek the help that he needs to deal with things in his past that were still having an impact on him. Another emotional story in this good series.

Travis has been through so much, and he is resigned to spending his life alone. Sweet and loving Bo is not going to let that happen. This book is the wonderful story of Bo easing past Travis' defenses and showing him that he's lovable and beautiful, even with the scars he wears on his body and in his heart. I haven't read any other books in this series, but this one is a great standalone. It does make me want to read the rest of the series, though, as all the characters seem like great friends and family. I like the characters and the town the author has created.

You gave me love. Travis was facing hard times until he landed in Brighton. He made friends and found a bit of security. Bo, the cop seems interested. Travis puzzled why. Bo is immediately intensely attracted to Travis when he first meets him. He knows there is a good wonderful man beneath the crusty defensive exterior. Travis was dragging some heavy baggage. Was Bo enough to help lift it? These guys are perfect for each other. Nice flow. Great twists. Great story. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review

I wonderful book that I really enjoyed. Great storyline that kept hooked all the way through. Bo and Travis are both wonderful characters who are perfect together. Bo is the perfectly strong kind of person that Travis needs to help him get over his intimacy issues. A beautiful story for Travis that I loved, he certainly had suffered and still from horrible nightmares every night. It was Bo that he gets the courage to seek help but Travis is stronger than he believes. The storyline was a great one but with a predictable ending.
Travis's past involved a serious fire but now he was in Brighton with a new start. Travis was working in the diner and got to see his crush, Officer Bo Mason every morning.

Travis is the sixth book in the Boys of Brighton series by M. Tasia. This is a contemporary m/m romance with hurt/heal aspects, seeing beauty within and embracing love. Travis and Bo are wonderful characters that captured my heart with their sweet love and the beauty of their connection. This book made my heart happy. It had a little drama, some humor, a bit of steam and a lot of sweetness. This series is turning out to be amazing.

Travis and Bo were a super sweet couple with that same insta love feeling that all of M Tasia couples have. Travis was awesome, so supportive! I loved how we got little glimpses of them in previous books. I loved the strong, sexy Bo. But Travis’s story was heartbreaking. Another great read. Keep em coming!

I loved this work. My heart went out to Travis and the emotional struggle he went though. I just wanted to pull him in for a massive hug and never let him go. I loved the development between the two characters and the patience that Bo had was so heartwarming. I can't wait to read more in the series.

I give this a five out of five stars.

Love the Boys of Brighton

This is a great addition to the series. We get Travis and Bo's story. It has been hinted at in previous books. Travis' back story is tragic but he works hard not to let it keep him from finding happiness with Bo. Bo is a wonderful man and so good for Travis.
We are even left with a teaser for Grady and Ben's story which should be next.

When Travis came to town he was homeless and jobless but Jesse gave him a job and a place to live. When Bo first saw Travis he wanted him but Travis wasn’t sure because of everything that happened before in his life. Travis worked on his problems to be with Bo. A couple of times I had tears because of what he went through but then I would laugh with them also. Great book again!

Great m/m romance series

Travis is the new cook art the diner and Bo is a local police officer. Travis has a shameful secret and is afraid to date, Bo is smitten with Travis and works very hard to win him over. This is the loving scope of the book along with the great Mason family, therapy, a serious injury and great HEA.
