Oracle and the Paradigm of Seekdom

Rate this book
The morning of October 8th, 2017 begins in Brooklyn as any typical fall sunny day. Sunrays peak through dense gray clouds and on the ground, temperate breezes blow leaves in playful swirls. Celebrating the autumn colors and the Halloween festivities to come, children cheerfully throw leaves in the air and watch them scatter in the wind.
Sadly, danger is fast approaching and the sheer magnitude of it is beyond belief. Without warning, a staggering number of ecological calamities begin to occur around the world. Tsunamis, quakes, and hurricanes appear globally in significant numbers. People struggle to find shelter as Mother Nature’s unrelenting assault lays waste to every country large and small.
The catastrophes continue until June 2018, when the disasters miraculously cease. Although people’s prayers have been answered, relief is short-lived. As the dust settles it reveals indescribable carnage and destruction, the aftermath is overwhelming. Many are paralyzed by grief and fear.
Landscapes once abound with beauty and majesty quickly becomes faded memories. Despair consumes the planet. Survivors struggle to endure the scarcity of edible food, the lack of decent shelter and safe drinking water.
The deplorable conditions devolve civilization into a lawless state of mind, and global chaos ensues. For their collective protection communities become organized clans. The larger tribal gangs brutally compete for territories and material goods while dominating the smaller band of criminals. Tribal gangs perform random acts of rape and murder with depravity and indifference. Even former law-abiding citizens join the fray aggressively fending for themselves.
After many years of chaos, a city/state in New California called Gopraytur rises from the ashes of destruction and mayhem. Gopraytur vigorously unifies its dominion by enforcing oppressive laws, with a clenched fist, an iron hand and without mercy. This powerful police-state expands its territory until becoming the largest and most ruthless governing body in America.
It becomes known to Goprayturians; there is a potentially powerful nemesis called Seekers who live deep in the desert in the hidden city of Seekdom. Seekers are a peaceful yet technologically advanced people, where Art, Spirituality, and Science flourish. Seekers aspire to elevate civilizations through education, enlightenment and eco-friendly technology.
Gopraytur is on a mission to steal the Seekers’ advanced technology, destroy their way of life and extinguish the hope of freedom the Seekers represent. If the Goprayturians are successful, they will enslave the world's population. Seekers must stop them at all cost; the fate of humankind depends on it.

A painting with words!

What a wonderful first timer. While you will enjoy this work no matter where you are from, you will especially enjoy it if you happen to be a native Brooklynite. It is a wonderful work of fiction, & most definitely a page turner. Definitely a good book to cozy up to on a frigid night & taken to another world. Better yet, if you are from frost country, take a trip...no take two trips- on by reading this author's work, and the other to fly off to a sunny climes, book in hand, & lie on a beach and doubly enjoy the experience. I'll be looking out for Mr. Kamal's second effort, which I hope comes soon!
