If you have ever wanted to cast spells using traditional methods such as Knot Magic, then this is the book for you. It may seem hard to imagine nowadays, but there was a time when Knot Magic or ligatura was one of the most feared types of magic across the whole of western Europe. Apart from explaining how this type of magic works, Tylluan sets out, very simply, using step by step methods, how to cast this type of spell ourselves. It also gives a great deal of background information about traditional – and sometimes unusual – forms of Knot Magic. As usual her book is well referenced and has a full bibliography.
This was a wonderful read, it's truly a thing Let's review it together - it explains everything on this system, from the basics, from zero I dare say up to elaborate magic - it explains basic magic concepts - it's a guide that in no means pretends to know it all, and promotes creative thinking - it provides history of the craft, personal ideas and even some exercises - it has a wonderful bibliography Overall Miss Penry created one of the best books of magic I've found ( I have to admit I dnf'd quite a few )
Good information. A little too much personal history for my taste. I wanted to read a book about knot magic, not an autobiography. Otherwise good. Interesting history of knot magic.
I only withheld the last star because I'm so unfamiliar with this branch of powerworking. Penry is very thorough, and I recommend checking out her YouTube channel as well.
