Rate this book
Linsey finds herself broken down on a dark and rainy highway. She'd walked out on her career as senior editor to attend her daughter's first violin solo with the middle school orchestra. Her husband, Jason is already there waiting. When a utility truck pulls up, she thinks herself saved. What she gets instead, is a terrifying and brutal encounter with a man in a yellow suit, who has the power to control her every move. Forced to follow the predetermined destinations on her vehicle's GPS, the Man in Yellow sets Linsey to preform tasks so horrible it would make even the most twisted person cringe. And perhaps the most terrifying thing of all - He makes her like it.

The first part of this story was pretty good.
The setting was spot-on.
It was a dark and stormy night....
One lone female is driving along on a desolate road when tragedy strikes.
Flat tire. Those are never fun, especially when you are late going where you need to go.
The man who stops to help isn't a good samaritan.

This book turned in a direction I wasn't expecting.
I lost interest about halfway through.

It became more and more ridiculous.

I will definitely read more from the writer.
I see promise in the writer but more fine-tuning needs to be done.

This is not my normal genre, but I found it very enjoyable. From the twisted mind of Landon Wake comes this thriller about a woman, Linsey, who has just quit her job and is on her way to her daughter's recital when tragedy strikes in the form of a blowout. And it only gets worse from there.

The story, which will see Linsey having to jump through numerous hoops in order to protect not only her life but the life of her family, builds to an exciting climax that is so tense, it will have you on the edge of your seat. It makes one ask - how far would YOU go to protect everything you love?

Well done, Mr. Wake!
