Fantastic!
Another fantastic Inspector Thomas Sullivan Thriller! The mixture of science fiction and mystery and suspense makes these books so enjoyable.

Inspector Sullivan is suspicious when he is called upon to take his team to a prison located on a desolate moon. They are asked to investigate murders that appear to be unrelated other than the lack of motive and evidence. The penal system has its own internal investigators. So why pull the Inspector off-world to usurp their authority?
The gang leaders within the prison are nervous about these murders as they weren’t sanctioned by any of them. For you see, even though there are gangs they still have a code of conduct to which they adhere. And, the thought of an outside investigation happening on their turf challenges their ability to control the prison.
Markeson, Sully’s immediate supervisor is thrilled to send the team off-world. Sarah, the clone with enhanced abilities always makes him nervous. Being a dirty cop and having incorruptible staff snooping around is an annoyance he is happy to relieve himself of even for a short period of time. Who knows? Prisons are dangerous places. Accidents happen.
Sivils’ third novel in the Inspector Thomas Sullivan series, Grey Sky Blues does not disappoint. The writing has become more complex as the supporting characters personalities are expanded. Sivils peppers just enough clues throughout to keep you guessing without losing interest. One could read this book as a standalone since there is enough information about the past intermingled along the way.
Sarah’s past was explored in more depth and it was nice to see her character evolve and mature. We also find out much more about Father Nathan. He isn’t officially part of the team but is called to the prison on business at the same time as Sully. And, Bones, the coroner, is becoming more than a background character. Detective Sergeant Josephson really surprised me with how quickly he has mirrored Sully’s techniques.
Without a doubt, this is the best in the series thus far. The ending was a complete surprise and opens a world of possible sequels. Sivils can’t write fast enough! I am hungry for more.

I love the sifi noir style of K. C. Sivils. Grey Sky Blues is another excellent experience involving Inspector Thomas Sullivan, the 'Pup' Josephson, Father Nathan, Bones, and identical twin sisters Sarah, whom we already know, and Ellie, whom we know only by reputation. And what a personality she will add to this tale... We leave the comforts of Beta Prime and Capital City for the prison colony on the moon Persephone. Normally murders at the Graham Correctional would be investigated internally. Sully has been requested from on high to bring his crew to the prison and do an intense probe into the deaths of a guard and one of a prisoner, both deaths suspicious, both suspected as murder, but the victims were verified alone at the time of injury and death.
There is definitely a mess of massive proportions within the prison. Among the inmates Sarah finds her twin sister, missing for several years. Ellie is not pleased to be found, and there is graft and abuse at every level - but that is actually expected. Graham is a for-profit prison, taking in the most heinous of the galaxy's criminal elements. It is normal, and necessary, to have some of the discipline handled by the 'kings', the prisoners who have appointed themselves in a role of command and won it by hook or by crook.
Sully isn't sure he is going to be able to solve this problem. And he has to get back to Capital City soon if he can get Sarah away before she goes head to head with Ellie. As soon as Bones completes the autopsies, Sully gathers up his crew and head for home. Without Ellie. Sarah is not to be consoled. And Sully finds that he is not through with his detecting on Persephone. There are more deaths and new nuances to the rumors of Corruption, too much money floating around, and of fights posted on pay-for-view and betting gone wild. Sometimes, the bad guys aren't as bad as the good guys. At least in Sivil's worlds.

Another terrific Inspector Sullivan thriller! K. C. Sivils continues to expand his realistic future world while turning out gritty noir thrillers. Each of these books is a treat for SciFi buffs and lovers of noir detective fiction.
Sully is tasked with another difficult double murder. This time he and his team are headed for one of Beta Prime’s moons. It isn’t unusual for murder to be committed in a prison, but since one of the victims was a CO, it calls for an outside investigation.
At a glance each murder seems impossible. Both victims were alone in secure areas at the time of their deaths. How could the murders have happened with that being the case?
From the start of the investigation it is obvious something is going on at the prison that the officials don’t want the team to know about. The different groups of prisoners on the other hand seem to want to cooperate with the investigation, each group eager to clear themselves as suspects.
Can Inspector Sullivan discover what is going on behind the scenes? Will it lead him to find justice for the murder victims?

This is his third book in the series. There is a pre-the-first book published telling how he ended up with the special eye, which I have bought.
On the whole I like his narratives, they are imaginative and still tell us about the world of police and current affairs, even though about hundreds of years in the future in impossible planets far away..
The only thing that bothers you is some of the poor spelling, words left out and the occasional bad grammar.
I see that he hasn't thanked anyone for their amazing editing, so that's the reason why.

Someone doesn’t like Inspector Sullivan. If Beta Prime wasn’t bad enough he is being sent to investigate a murder on its remote moon where the prison exists. The noir style of the story is a perfect match to the protagonist. The mystery is wrapped around the characters and weaves its way through the backdrop provided by the environment.
If you love a mystery with a tough cop this is your story.

Great read spoilt by sloppy editing... but don't be put off.
As others have said the one thing that lets this book down, on Kindle at least, is the sloppy proof reading and spell checking. But if you can read in the right words you will be fine. This is another cracking edition of the series and I hope there are many more to come.

Grey Sky Blues by K.C. Sibilant
I got this book for free and I am writing this review because I wanted too. I am not normally a Sci. Fiction fan,but after I read The Predator & The Prey I was hooked. This is a great book and would suggest to all readers to read this great series!

This is the third book in the series, and it shows. The characters are more complex and the writing more involving. The plot is interesting, and walks well the thin line between telling too much or too little, keeping the story interesting and compelling.

Great story
This was one of the best stories in this series so far but you need a good editor. Other than that excellent character growth and awesome world building. Looking forward to reading more of Sully's adventure.

Superior writing..plotline,characters! I truly enjoy this author's novels about a ex-space marine turned cop.The whole series is a must-read as far as I am concerned.

I won this book from Goodreads and really enjoyed it. I don’t read a lot of science fiction but this book was also a good murder mystery which is what I like to read.
